Times to Remember

Chapter 7

The school cafeteria was buzzing with gossip from the fight against the new kids and Professor Stein as Maka walked in. "Wow, everyone knows what happened this morning. I guess that was to be expected since almost no one usually wins against the professor." "Hey Maka over here!" Liz called to the girl. Maka walked up to the table to see the new students with the group. Maysilee glanced up at Maka then quickly looked back to her food. "Hey guys. Have any room?" Maka asked. "Oh well-" "I'm done eating, you can have my seat Maka." May replied getting up and stalking away.

The others watched the girl walk away, red curls bouncing. The other meister sat down and pretended nothing had happened. "What did you do Maka?" Soul asked, hands gripping the table. "What do you mean Soul?" She asked. "He means did you say anything or do anything to upset Maysilee?" Tsubaki asked here tone sterner than usual. "It wasn't a big deal, I just asked her a few questions before we left the classroom." "What did you ask her?" Kid asked, his eyes flashing silver. "I just asked her what the heck happened during the fight. I also asked her what exactly she was and if she did anything to you three. I don't see that as a big deal."

The table was silent for a minute that felt like hours. Suddenly a low growl startled the silence. It was coming from Soul, his eyes glowing. His growling got louder and more wolf like until he lunged at Maka. She screamed and they went tumbling onto the floor. Maka raised her arms up just in time to save her face from the claws that came out of Soul's hands. "Soul!" Tristan and Corbin came rushing up and pulled the albino away from Maka. "Let me go!" Soul shouted. The cafeteria was silent now. "We need help here!" Corbin called out and Michael and Jeremy came and grabbed Soul's arms. "Let me go! Let me go dammit!" "Soul calm down! She doesn't know!" Tsubaki screamed. Soul stopped struggling. He was panting, his hands normal again. "Maka you're bleeding." Liz said. Maka looked down. And there were four bleeding claw marks on both her arms. "Come on, let's get you to the nurse." Liz and Maka walked away.

"Soul?" Black Star said. For once he wasn't shouting. "Shut up... Just shut up." Soul said. He was trembling. The boys let him go and Soul stood up, his hands balling into fists. He exhaled slowly. "Are you OK Soul?" Patty asked. "I'm fine. I'm going to go find May." Soul replied and walked off.

"Maysilee?" Soul called out. "I'm here." Soul turned. He spotted a blue eye peeking at him from a closet. Soul walked over to the girl and sat next to her. "Maka told me what she said to you. May I am so sorry she did that." Soul hugged his childhood friend. "It's OK Soul, I'm fine. It bugged me a bit but I'm OK now." Soul smiled. "Good, and um May?" "Yes Soul?" the girl looked up at her friend with her unique eyes. "I kind of went a bit crazy when Maka told me what she did and... Well I sorta scratched her." May blinked. "With your werewolf claws?" Soul gave her a questioning look. "My what?" May sighed. "You're a werewolf Soul. It was some freak thing that happened when you and Tristan were born. You two were werewolves, but no one in your family had any recollection, nor could they find any proof, that there were any werewolves in your family blood line." Soul laughed. "That's..." The Albino's eyes widened as he remembered one full moon night long ago. "Totally true..."

May silently nodded as her friend processed a new memory that was restored to him. "Wow. I really have a lot to remember still, don't I?" Soul smirked solemnly. "Yeah. We all do." May replied. Soul nodded. "What are we going to do? I mean you guys were saying that people were still missing and none of us remember everything." May sighed. "It's going to be hard, but we'll manage." she rested her head on the albino's shoulder, who wrapped his arm around her. "Yeah, we'll manage. Somehow..."

A/N: Hey again! So here's what happened. My computer crashed and I had to switch to an old one I still had. BUT the computer I am currently using would freeze all the time. But then my mom's friend fixed it for me. After that I had to reread what I had since most of it got wiped. Then I got really busy with school since it's the end of the year and I'm going to be in high school next year. Yay for me! But I did get this done so enjoy!
