"Why must I break everything I touch?" Giotto lies on his bed, moping. It wasn't his intention to hurt the brunette nor was it to rape the poor young boy.
Knuckles told the guardians about the chain around Tsuna's ankle and a majority of them paled with the exception of Alaude who remained silent. The guardians are running out of ideas to help Giotto, but they refuse to give in.
Tsuna sat naked on Giotto's bed, still refusing to move. The damage became more mentally than physically. How could he handle going to an amusement park with Giotto in this state? To be honest, Giotto confuses him: first he's cold, then he's gentle, then he's calm, and then… Tsuna shudders. He glances at the chain on his ankle and yanks at it, hoping it will somehow break off. To no avail, it's sturdy. Why would it be weak if Giotto wanted Tsuna to stay in one place anyway?
At least Giotto took off the collar.
It's the day where Giotto takes Tsuna to the amusement park and Tsuna is avoiding Giotto. Due to his bad back, Tsuna has Knuckles help him walk around. Giotto wishes he was the one to help him, but he realizes that he has no right to. The rest of the guardians walk behind them, keeping a safe distance, but not so far off that they would be lost… with the exception of Alaude who preferred to watch from afar and away from the crowd. Throughout the whole day, Giotto tried to get Tsuna to talk to him and every time he did, Tsuna would look as if he were about to scream.
"Do you remember this place?" Giotto asked Tsuna.
Tsuna gave no reply. To be honest, he didn't remember this place. Has he been here before?
Giotto felt a pang of guilt in his heart. If only time machines were invented so that he'll turn back time and try to rebuild their relationship together.
The group of eight went on the merry-go-round—except for G who said it was too boring. Giotto rode on a horse and Tsuna sat in a small carriage-like object comforted by Knuckles. Giotto remembers how Tsuna loves the merry-go-round, but somehow, Tsuna doesn't.
They went in the house of mirrors; Giotto watched as Tsuna only stared at himself as if he saw a broken doll. He tried to put his hand on his shoulder, but Tsuna inched away slowly from Giotto, making him look down at his feet.
This time, they went on the roller coaster where all of the guardians agreed to go ride—Alaude at the back glaring at anyone who dares sit next to him. Giotto knew Tsuna didn't like roller coasters in a cute way, but Tsuna didn't faze. Did Tsuna get over his uneasy feelings of going on this ride or was it just him? Giotto chose to sit next to Tsuna which made the brunette shake and shiver. He held the brunette's hand—and to which surprised Giotto—he didn't retreat; although, the shivering didn't cease.
After the ride, Tsuna's legs felt weak after exiting the coaster. He took a step forward and fell sideways. Luckily someone caught him before his fall and he muttered the words 'thank you' before looking up to see who it was. His lips thinned as he saw that it was none other than Giotto who caught him. He quickly muttered a 'sorry', ran, and hid behind Asari. Asari let Tsuna hide behind him and smiles. Giotto sighs.
Saved for last, Giotto led the group to the haunted house of horrors. Giotto remembered Tsuna's shivering and how he hid behind Giotto throughout the entire time. Only this time, he hides behind Lampo, Daemon, and G. Why wasn't it him? Oh, right…
Exiting the haunted house of horrors, Tsuna shivered and grabbed onto G. Giotto wonders how they got along so well.
"Why don't I buy you some cotton candy?" Giotto suggested to Tsuna whom still hid behind G.
With no reply, Giotto decided to go grab some anyway to appease the brunette. Thinking back to what he did, he cursed under his breath as he approached the cotton candy stand. When he returned, Alaude was waiting for him near the brunette who is still with G.
"What happened?" Giotto asked.
Alaude was on his cell phone. He had just received a call. "Your uncle plans to visit to check up on how you're doing again next week."
"Uncle Davide? I thought I already told him that I don't need to be comforted anymore. I've gotten over the past." Giotto sighed.
"Hn." Alaude wasn't much of a talker.
"Oh? The old man's coming to pay us a visit?" Daemon jumped into the conversation with a smile.
"Who gave you the right to jump in?" Alaude glared.
"Oooohhh! Such a scary expression," Daemon makes the shape of a rectangle with his hands as if he could imagine himself hanging this photo of Alaude's expression on the wall.
"…" Alaude thought that if he were to argue anymore with Daemon, he would seem just as childish, so he just walks away.
Giotto sighed at their childishness and walk over to Tsuna sitting on a bench with G. He really does wonder how they get along well. G rarely gets along with people because of his attitude, but he is a nice guy. I guess that's how they got along, Giotto thought.
"Here." Giotto smiles and hands him the cotton candy. The cotton candy is blue.
With a bit of hesitation, Tsuna takes it and mutters a 'thank you'. He quickly looks away and leans onto G's shoulder. It'll be a long process, but Giotto will do whatever it takes to get him to like him.
Tsuna looked at the cotton candy as Giotto joined Asari and Knuckles near Alaude and Daemon arguing once again to prevent them from fighting while Lampo just sits at another bench and watched the fight. He scrunched his eyebrows and realizes that this is something that has happened before, but he can't remember when. He takes a bite out of the cotton candy and gasps.
"What is it?" G asked, concerned.
"…I think I know… this place." Tsuna took another bite.
"Of course you know this place. We brought you here once before when you really wanted to go." G stated.
"You… have?" Tsuna looked up at G.
"Yeah, you don't remember?"
With the look on Tsuna's face, he really doesn't remember.
"I'll tell you all about it." G stated.
A young Tsuna was lying on the hospital bed with Giotto and his guardians at his side. The fire around town was hectic. Many people were filling up the rooms in every hospital around the city. Tsuna's eyes fluttered open to see seven children and his parents surrounding him with concerned expressions.
"Tsuna!" His mother and father embraced him as he sat up from the bed.
"Mom. Dad. Sunny." Tsuna smiled. Giotto has never seen a smile so big, bright, and genuine.
Giotto held Tsuna's hand and blinked in surprise. He was so thin, small, and light. Giotto asked that about his parents and they told him about how poor they were and the conditions they lived in. This surprised Giotto and his guardians. To help his first non-mafia-related friend, he requested to bring Tsuna to the amusement park. At first, Tsuna's parents hesitated, but they didn't mind. On one condition: Giotto must be kind to Tsuna and return him safe and sound. He is the only child they have.
Giotto agrees and they spend a happy time at the amusement park.
Tsuna enjoys the merry-go-round, shudders at the fast roller coaster, and fears the haunted house of horrors. That very amusement park is the same place they are currently in right now. At the very end of the day, Giotto buys some blue cotton candy—the very same flavor he currently holds in his hand—and Tsuna enjoys it.
Tsuna looked at his cotton candy and sobs.
"Oi! Oi! Oi!" G panics a little, not sure about how to comfort the kid. About a few feet away, Giotto's Tsuna senses were tingling and he turns around to find Tsuna crying. He leaves Knuckles and Asari to calm the fight and runs towards the brunette.
"Eh?" Asari paled.
"Um… Giotto?" Knuckles looked around to find an empty space of where Giotto was before.
Alaude and Daemon were still fighting, damaging public property.
"Tsuna, are you okay?" Giotto quickly returned to his side, making Tsuna flinch.
"HIIIIEEE!"
Giotto exclaims an 'I'll comfort you' and pushes G's face away from Tsuna. G frowns at Giotto's action and Tsuna backs up into his seat. Surprisingly, a snicker escaped Tsuna's lips and he laughed. The laugh was a beautiful melody that resonated throughout the area. Giotto and his guardians stopped in their tracks to hear the beautiful melody. Alaude looked away, but anyone can tell that he enjoys the laughter, Daemon chuckled a 'Nufufu', Knuckles happily exclaims a 'praise the lord, he's laughing!', Asari grins ear to ear, Lampo stared at the brunette with wide eyes and accidentally drops his ice cream, G's eyebrows raised up high, and Giotto blinked in surprise.
Maybe he can get the brunette to like him.
For a week, Tsuna asked if he could go over to every place he was taken to and forgotten. Giotto took him everywhere he wanted and did anything the brunette asked for. Tsuna couldn't comprehend why he would always forget something by the next year.
Later on the seventh day when Giotto and Tsuna arrived home, Davide was waiting for him in the living room as said by one of the passing men. Giotto entered the living room with Tsuna following behind. The moment he entered the room, Giotto had a bad feeling.
"Giotto! How are you?" Davide is a happy-go-lucky man who owns his own jewelry company and shares the same dread for doing piles of paperwork. He understood Giotto like no other.
"Uncle, it's nice to see you again! I've been doing fine." Giotto smiles and sits down in the seat across from Davide. Tsuna watched from the doorway like a child who's afraid to enter. Davide spotted the young brunette and invited him in.
"Come in! It's alright!" Davide's smile never left his face.
Tsuna slowly walked in like a lost animal trying to trust someone. Davide seems like a nice man, so he sat in the chair in between the two as they conversed. They talked about many things: about the weather, paperwork, their companies, and about the past—although they kept it as vague as possible. Then, Davide brought up the subject about the brunette.
"What's your name, young one? Don't be shy now." Davide asked.
"My name is Tsuna." Tsuna spoke softly.
"Eh?" Davide held a hand up to his ear and leaned closer. "My ears weren't what it used to be. Can you repeat that?"
"I am Tsuna." Tsuna spoke louder this time with more confidence.
"Just kidding. Kikikikiki!" Davide laughs and hacks. "My ears are just fine. I just wanted to hear your confidence."
Giotto smiles at their conversation and Tsuna smiles a little. This man isn't all that bad.
"So what is the reason you've come to visit? It's not at the usual days that you visit." Giotto spoke.
Davide sits back and explains, "It seems that there's trouble afoot. Overhearing a conversation, someone wants you dead. They're coming here sometime this month."
Without asking who they are, Giotto fully understood what he meant. Tsuna asked who they were, but neither of the men answered in fear of dragging him into the situation.
"We need to take action and make a plan." Giotto stated.
"I'll send in some strong bodyguards of mine to help protect you." Davide said.
Giotto nodded and Tsuna tilted his head to the side, not being able to grasp the situation. What is going on?
Sorry for the delay and short chapter. Also, I had no internet for a while.
