Chapter 7:

"Crap," Rebecca sighed and Maya, who was putting her hair up into a pony, looked to her best friend.

"Problem there, chief?" She joked and Rebecca glared playfully at her before pouting.

"No one brought cups for the lemonade."

"What!" Maya exclaimed in fake terror. "How will we survive?"

"Oh you'll be fine," Rebecca laughed, "It's gonna be me who doesn't hear the end of it. I just know Kathy will find a way to blame it on me and make me look disorganized to the committee."

"Good point. So what are you gonna do?"

Rebecca thought for a moment before regrettably realizing there was a dollar store not too far from the school. Ugh walking. "I'm gonna go get some cups before its time to start."

Maya raised a brow. "Walking? Do you want me to come along?"

She shook her head. "I'll be fine. Exercise is good for you and all that. Be back in twenty." Maya gave her a half assed salute and a teasing grin as Rebecca walked away from the school parking lot and towards the direction she half remembered a shopping strip was located.

The walk didn't take to long and it was still before noon so the sun wasn't fully in the sky so she wasn't sweating like a pig yet. When she made it to the store she quickly opened the door, the burst of cold air from the AC bringing a chill to her body but she pushed on making her way to the plastic isle and picking up three bags of red plastic cups and making her way to the front where the cashier was located. As she waited in line behind a woman who seemed to be looking to pick a fight over the condition of the product she wanted – "What do you mean you won't discount me, look at these plates! There are scratches!" "Mam, I'm not authorized to-" "I want to speak to your manager!" - she thought to Ben and their date. He had told her he loved her last night and while she didn't want to over think it, she couldn't help it. They hadn't known each other very long, had been dating even less than that, and the idea of love intimated her quite a bit. It's not that she didn't think he was worth loving, in fact, given a little more time she had a feeling Ben might even be her first love. But she couldn't shake the feeling as if everything was moving too quickly. She obviously had feelings for him; he was sweet and patient with her when he wasn't being a tease and for the most part he seemed completely perfect. She felt comfortable around him no matter where they were or what they were doing and it scared her a little bit to think about it. She was still a virgin after all and she worried sometimes that she'd get swept up in all the romantics and ultimately regret it. In all honesty, shes scared of everything she's feeling.

"Mam."

Rebecca looked up towards where she heard the voice. A woman was standing beside another cashier next to the one she had been in line for where the woman was now arguing with an older man that she assumed was the manager. She moved over to the other register, the woman behind the counter quickly ringing up her cups and putting them in a bag so they're easier to carry. Rebecca quickly paid for the and collected her bags, walking outside the store when her cellphone made a sound in her pocket. She shifted her bags to free up a hand before pulling out her phone to see a notification for a text message.

Bee 3 : I miss you.

It was only three words but that was enough to send her heart racing. She started to walk again as she replied back to him.

Me: You're coming to the car wash aren't you? You'll see me then. ;)

Bee 3 : Yea, but thats not soon enough :((

She giggled to herself as she imagined his full lips pulling into a pout if he was in front of her. She was thinking up her reply when she suddenly bummed into someone, her bags and phone slipping out of her hands as she stumbled backwards.

"Oh no, I'm-." She started to apologize as she looked up to see who she had walked into.

A guy stood in front of her. Young but older than her, she would have guessed in his early to mid twenties but she wasn't sure. He was tall, good looking, with dark hair on his head with fringe that lightly fell in the way of his dark eyes, there was almost a red tint to them but she was sure it was just the sun or something. He had a scowl on his face as he looked down at her and Rebecca fought the urge to scoff at him but instead chose to roll her eyes and didn't bother to apologize as she picked up her bags, phone and made her way around him.

"No excuse me?" His voice was gruff and deep and suited his appearance.

She turned her head over her shoulder to look at him, he was staring her down and Rebecca felt like a bucket of ice water had been dumped on her. His scowl was still in place but his eyes didn't look angry, they looked calculating as if he was trying to see inside her head.

"Excuse me." She replied with a scoff this time before turning back around and walking back to the school. She idly thought maybe she shouldn't push it with the attitude but thought better of it – besides her boyfriend could kick his ass.

As Rebecca walked back to the school, she missed the dark chuckle that left the man's lips before he disappeared from sight.

Bee was excited to say the least.

He was nervous with energy, he couldn't stop himself from tapping the steering wheel of his alt form or giving a frag about Miles glaring him down from his seat in the back of his 'car'. Sam watched with an amused smile between his old, long time friend and his newest one. I was clear to see that Ben was on a high and he could only guess that it was due to his sister. He had to say, he was glad Rebecca chose Ben for a boyfriend. He wasn't crazy that he was his friend and now dating his younger sister but he was a good guy and so far Sam didn't get any red flags from him.

Soon they were at the school, Bee choosing to parks away from where the car wash was taking place. The last thing he needed was for a bunch of people to be feeling him up in front of his eyes. They made their way out of his alt-form and made their way towards where the fundraiser was. All three boys took in the bathing suit clad girls as they walked from car to car, washing and drying and the like. There was a table set up where lemonade and snack was set up for sale as well. Miles immediately made his way towards the snack table where a pretty blonde was handing out cookies while Bee and Sam looked around for the girls they were most anxious to see.

As soon as a familiar red head came into view, Bee separated from Sam and walked towards the femme. Her back was to him as she leaned over a Toyota, reaching up to wipe her soapy sponge on the top half of the windshield. He smoothly wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed the back of her neck before she gave a shriek and suddenly the sponge smashed against his face and he was spitting up soap.

"Ack," Bee wiped his face with the sleeve of his shirt to get rid of the soap residue. Rebecca turned around to face him an angry look on her face before it quickly turned apologetic.

"Oh crap, I'm so sorry," She quickly ran off to a table set near by with water bottles, grabbed one and a towel, came back and handed it over to him. "I thought you were some pervert."

Bee laughed. Uncapping the water and using it to wash his face before taking the clean towel his girlfriend held out to him. "I do remember you calling me one yesterday."

"Are you implying that you deserved soap to the face?" She raised a brow at him, her hands moving to rest on her hips. Bee let him self appreciate the view for a second, his eyes trailing her top to bottom. Her red hair was braided and though he himself preferred her hair down she still looked beautiful.

"Well my thoughts while watching you wash that car weren't exactly the cleanest." He admitted, a grin growing on his face as Rebecca's face flushed.

"You are such a pervert." She mumbled.

"Hey love birds!"

The couple turned to their right to see Maya waving at them, a black coop parked beside her with a number of other cheerleaders already washing it. Once she had their attention, she pointed over to the car. "Hate to break up the love fest but you have plenty of time to flirt after the car wash."

"Fine," Bee whined playfully, giving Rebecca a quick peck before leaving her to continue finishing up the car she was cleaning. He made his way back over to Sam and Miles, the latter staring him down with pure envy in his eyes and Bee couldn't help but smirk at him as he reached them.

Miles was about to open his mouth when Sam beat him to it, the boy giving off a sounds between a groan and a shriek as a certain girl walked by alone. Bee turned to where Sam was looking, Mikaela Barnes was standing a ways from them, leaning against the refreshment table as she talked to Kathy. For once, it seemed that Trent was no where in sight and Bee could already tell the gears inside Sam's head were at work.

"Sam, I know that look." Miles spoke up and Sam huffed.

"Shut up."

"I'm just saying-"

"Why don't you go talk to her?" Bee interrupted. Both boys turned to him with disbelief on their faces.

"Talk to her?" Sam sputtered. "No,nonononono – I can't just walk up to her."

Bee tilted his head in confusion. "Uh, why not?"

Miles answered this time. "Because shes ten times too hot to be in Sam's league-" He sheepishly chuckled at the glare Sam sent him. "Sorry bro."

Sam nodded at his apology and looked back to Mikaela who was now alone at the refreshment table, a bag of cookies in her hands. "I wouldn't even know what to say." He said mostly to himself but Bee heard him all the same. He felt sympathy for his friend and wished he could help boost his self esteem but he had no ideas on how to accomplish that.

"You know," Bee said. "Even if its something stupid, it's better to talk to her than just wait on the sidelines. Who knows, maybe shes tired of Trent anyway."

Sam seemed contemplative at his advice and it looked as if he was seriously considering it before they heard the roar of a truck pull its way into the parking lot and in line of cars to be washed. Trent with all his cocky friends jumping out and whistling at a couple of girls before making their way to where Mikaela was.

Sam didn't look their way the rest of the day.

It had been two months.

Bumblebee knew he was a terrible solider, choosing to push the real reason he was here, his mission, to the back of his mind for- a human girl. It was silly of him, almost comical if he thought about it for too long. More sense it would have made if he had gotten so wrapped up in the daily lives of humans, in their customs and the planet earth itself that he had slacked on searching for the cube. Instead his interest was wrapped around a red headed young woman. What she was doing, what was on her mind, how she felt and how he felt about her constantly ran through his mind on a daily bases- it should have been maddening, to be so infatuated with another being that everything else fell short. But it wasn't. It felt nice, it felt right to be so wrapped up in Rebecca and feel someone else express his emotions back to him. It felt right to be around her, it felt right to hold her, it felt right to love her.

Had it been a few months back the old him would have denied such a thought. But he had since come to terms with his feelings towards Rebecca. He was sure it was love. It couldn't be anything else that he felt towards her, anything else was too simple. Even back on Cybertron love was complicated, well, not that he would know from experience but he remembers when he was smaller how Ironhide and Chromia had constantly been at odds with each other, sometimes going as far that Ironhide would have to visit the medical bay. And yet Ratchet would chuckle to himself in amusement as he fixed up his friend and mumble something about "love" and "going soft". When he was young it had been harder to understand, he thought love came in the form of soft glances and even softer forms of affection like Optimus and Elita-1 but, he understood now that love wasn't something that could be defined. He had love for his friends, his comrades, his brothers; he would die for any of them because they are the family who raised him when the war had taken his parents. He would die for Rebecca because she is the woman he was in love with.

She hadn't said it back to him. Granted he hadn't dared to utter those words after the first time in fear that she would feel pressured by him and reject him or worse feel pressured to lie to him and say it back when she didn't mean it. He knew he couldn't expect her to be professing her undying love for him, there were many things he was keeping from her, his species being the big one.

He had even neglected his duty of reporting back to Optimus and the others. He didn't know how he could start to explain that he had yet to even find a clue to where the map may be. He should be with Sam right now, trying to find the map. But where was he instead?

In the back seat of his alternative form with the human he was obsessing over.

"Bee!" Rebecca squeaked as said male pinched her side from where she sat in his lap. She turned her head towards him in order to tell him off but Bumblebee was ready for her, quickly pressing his lips against hers in a kiss. Rebecca sighed in content, breaking the kiss momentarily to turn around until she sat in his lap facing him, her knees on either side of his hips and her hands clasped together around his neck as she pulled him into another kiss.

She had taken to calling him his nickname and he'd be a liar if he said he disliked it. He liked to pretend that she already knew the truth, that she stayed with him despite the fact that he was from another world entirely – it made him feel like less of a liar.

Bee's hands tightened where they were placed on her thighs, her soft skin like satin at his fingertips. She pulled away from the kiss slowly, her teeth tugging at his lower lip softly. Bee moved a hand from her thigh to cradle her chin in his hands. He placed a few checkered kisses across her eyes, nose, and lips. He pulled away slightly and took her in; her eyes were hazy and almost closed, her eyelashes brushing lightly over the top of her pink cheeks. The California sun had made the splatter of freckles across her nose more pronounced. Her lips were a soft pink today, and tasted what he would describe as sweet. He pressed his forehead against hers and whispered. "Rebecca,"

She gave a hum in reply, her eyes opening fully to look at him. Bumblebee knew that if he was actually human his heart would be beating rapidly – he felt a rush of emotion just looking at her. He wanted to hold her to him, stay by her side but also, he wanted to know if she wanted the same.

"I l-"

tap. tap. tap.

The moment was broken as the two turned their heads to see Sam tapping at the window of his alt-form, a grossed out expression on his face before pointing downwards with his fingers. Rebecca sighed, moving off of Bee's lap to roll down the window for her obnoxious twin. Once the window was down, Sam threw his backpack through the space and into his sister's arms before calling out "shot gun" and moving into the front passenger seat.

"Sam you snake!" Rebecca whined but didn't make a move to kick her brother out of the car and out of her spot.

Bee chuckled out loud as Sam made a face at his sister only for said girl to turn her glare on him. He pouted at her before planting an exaggerated kiss on her lips with a big smack.

"Ok, ok, enough of that please." Sam said accompanied with fake gags.

Bee opened the door to his left and made his way into the drivers seat and faked starting himself up and pulling out of the school parking lot and on the road towards The Witwicky home. The two siblings quickly started up a conversation with Bee throwing his two cents every now and then – "Ben, please explain to Rebecca that Han Solo is from Star Wars not Star Trek." "Baby, how could you mix that up?" "Don't give me that look, I haven't seen either of those movies." "I made you watch the prequels." "Oh! Are those the movies where Darth Vader was hot?" - but his focus was on other things; Like how he was going to explain to Optimus that he'd been goofing off and hadn't found the map.

"Hey that's on unfair!" Sam whined.

"Too bad, I already asked mom." Rebecca grinned in triumph at her brother. "So you're stuck with Dad's side of the family."

"Ugh, but he doesn't have anyone interesting, at least mom's grandfather was a fighter pilot."

"Didn't grandpa's dad go crazy or something- you could use that." Rebecca offered to her brother. "What was his name again?"

"Archibald, I think?"

Bee's eyes widened. Archibald Witwicky!

Both of the twins turned to look at him and Bee realized too late that he had said that out loud. Oh, fuck me. "Yeah," Rebecca looked at him in confusion. "Have you heard of him?"

Bee shrugged, not looking at either his friend or his girlfriend and instead choosing to stare down the red light in front of him, willing it to turn green. "I think I've heard of him, I don't remember where."

Neither of the two siblings chose to press the issue further and Bee was relived when they finally pulled in front of the Witwicky house. They all climbed out of his alt-form and Rebecca quickly took his hand in hers as she led him inside, Sam bringing up the rear and calling out to his dad. "Dad, do we have any old junk?"

Bumblebee might have something to report after all.

A/N: Woah it's been a while. Truthfully I've had this chapter half way done for a while but between everything in my life and etc. it was forgotten along the way. I do very much remember my time plan for this story so with that being said: Just one more chapter before the plot of the first movie really kicks in. I hope you enjoyed, I'm trying to further explore the friendship with Sam and Bee since they are eventually suppose to grow to be best friends. That being said I'm also trying to give an idea of where Bee and Rebecca in terms of their relationships. Bee is way more honest about his feelings but in Rebecca's defense, Bee has been watching over her for a while now, she just now is getting to know him so hopefully I didn't butcher that. I feel like my writing style has really gone to shit but hopefully with more practice I'll improve. In the mean time, please bare with me.
