Pt 7A

The following morning Henry was eating cereal, as his grandmother came into the kitchen. "Good morning Henry," she greeted him.
"Morning," he replied.
"Sooo," she faced him, "how was your date?"
"It was good," he took another spoonful of fruit loops.
"Come on, you can give more detail than that," Emma came down the stairs.
Henry swallowed and answered calmly, "We walked over to the coffee shop, got some coffee, sat at a table, and talked."
"What did you guys talk about?" Emma asked.
Henry reflected...

The day before, Henry took Pippi out on a date. They sat at a round wooden table at the shop and began their conversation.
"I love coffee," Pippi started.
"Yeah, it keeps me awake, usually," Henry said.
"I think it's my favorite drink," Pippi said.
"Hot cocoa is my favorite," he looked down.
She looked down and sighed gently. What's a good conversation starter? Or at least a new conversation starter. "You grew up in this land, right?"
He nodded, "yeah."
"Well I'm from the Enchanted Forest and am still getting used to this new world. Any advice or suggestions?" Pippi blabbed.
"Netflix," he spoke.
"Already done that."
"Twitter."
"What's that?"
"It's where you type a sentence-a tweet- and post it online."
"On a line?"
"No," he smiled. "Online. The internet."
Pippi looked at him, puzzled.
"I'll show you later. I guess that means you haven't discovered YouTube." Henry said.
"What's it like growing up with all these people who are from these stories you also grew up with?" Pippi asked.
"What's it like to learn you're part of a fairytale?" He asked back.

She smiled at him.
When they got up to leave an hour later, loosing track of time, they walked around the town. They did learn more about each other.
"So where is the end of the town?" Pippi wondered.
He led her to a trail going into the woods. "Down there. There's a sign and a red line drawn by Leroy." He pointed. "But I wouldn't recommend crossing. Bad things always happen when people cross the town line."
"Bad? Like-like when they leave, their new lives don't work out?"
"No, like crossing the line makes you lose all your memories or keeps you from ever returning."
"Oh," she liked at the ground.
"Pippi," he said as they walked down the street, "What were your parents like?"
"...they were not the greatest people," Pippi confessed. "They…stole from the common folk and were manipulative."
"I'm sorry to hear that. Are they here in Storybrooke?" Henry wondered.
"They died," Pippi eyed him seriously.
"I'm so sorry."
"It was a long time ago. And it all work out." Pippi told herself.
They walked around for another hour, talking about their families, interests, and experiences.

"Stuff," Henry answered.
"Did you kiss her?" David asked.
"Grandpa," Henry blushed.

When he walked to the diner, they stood their awkwardly. The pause. Henry said, "I hope we can do this again, soon."

Pippi stared at him, and kissed him. "And that too." She walked into the diner, leaving Henry to process what just happened.

"Ok I think that's enough girl talk," Emma said. "It's time for you to go to school."
Henry rushed to get his backpack and headed out the door. He realized that he'd see Pippi there.
"I've never seen him so eager to go to school," Mary Margaret said.
There was pause before Emma said, "don't you have to teach today?"
"Oh shoot," she rushed.

Jill woke up alone in the apartment/room alone. She ate at Granny's by herself, as Emma entered. Jill avoided eye contact as she finished her meal.
Her attempts failed as Emma sat across her and said, "Hey. Any more new on your long lost brother?"
Jill sighed. "No. Thanks for remembering." Jill sat up, ready to leave but Emma kept talking.
"You haven't given me a follow up. I wondered if you still cared." Emma leaned back.
Jill smirked at Emma and said "Don't make any assumptions about me Sheriff."
"Shouldn't you be in school?" Emma noticed. "How old are you?"
"Older than you," Jill replied as she stood up, left a $10 bill for breakfast and walked out of Granny's.
Jill power walked down the street and got an idea.

Pippi helped settle a dispute between two of the kids that morning. At recess, she stayed in the classroom to help organize and clean up the mess from their arts activity.

Jill entered Mr. Gold's shop and was pleased to see him there.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" He entered the room.
"I see you're doing well in this world. Nice shop. Beautiful wife." Jill tilted her head.
"What do you want?" He grew irritated.
"To find someone. Someone I've never met. I don't know anything about them except- nevermind."
"And you think I'll help you?"
"You have a shop full of trinkets. Surely one of these has a locator spell or something."
"Yes, yes. I do. But what makes you think I'll help you after you broke our last deal."
"I'll buy something from this shop. You're lucky to have my business after you killed Helga."
"We had a long history. I'd have killed her eventually in the land."
Jill folded her arms. "Is it a deal?"
"This person you want to find...are they alive?" Mr. Gold asked.
"I hope so." Jill murmured. "He's a long lost relative. I just know he exists."
Mr. Gold smiled. "I'll help you." He limped over clutching a cane over to the right side of the store. Jill noticed the limp and and quietly gasped.
He opened a drawer and took out a small thin price of paper. "This is a Talleka. It gives clues, names, and riddles. It only works for whoever hold it. You just have to ask the right questions." He explained.
"Do you have anything more direct?"
He laughed a normal laugh.
Jill looked around and decided to buy shiny earrings. After the purchase, she left clutching her Talleka.

"Where is my brother?" Jill asked in her apartment/room. Nothing happened. She started at the strip of paper and sighed. "Where does he live?" Nothing. "Where is he? What does he look like? What is he like?" Jill grunted and buried her face in her hands.

Pippi and Henry held hands walking through the high school campus together. Regina saw then as she waited to drive him home with her. "There's my mom," he said to Pippi. "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Tomorrow." She said back.
"So that's your new girlfriend?" Regina commented.
"Not you too," Henry got embarrassed.
Regina smiled and put her arm on his shoulder and they walked off.

Emma and David sat in the sheriff's department on a quiet day. Emma brought up Jill and David realized it was the girl who came in the other day. They connected the dots and assumed everything was a lie. Emma knew she lived at Granny's because Ruby mentioned the new residents. They want to find Jill and figure out the truth.

Jill and Pippi talked about their day and went online on their phones to watch videos and tweet.
When there was a knock at the door, Jill looked through the little peep hole and saw that it was both sheriffs at their door.
Jill told Pippi "the police are here."
"Why?" Pippi wondered.
"I lied to David. I said I looking for my protector from the missing year."
"Missing year?"
"Nevermind. I can't let them arrest me. I'm so close to find him."
"You have. Price of blank paper. That's nothing to go on." Pippi informed her. "And I won't lie to them."
Jill huffed and went into the bathroom just before Pippi opened the door. Emma was not expecting to see her son's girlfriend there.
"Uh," Emma said, "is Jill here?"
Pippi turned and called for Jill.
Jill trudged as she was escorted down to the station.

Jill's lies and defiance got her a night in a jail cell. After the sheriffs left, feeding her a single piece of pizza and water. Killian came in a few minutes before Emma left with him. That's how Jill and Killian were introduced to each other.
She still had her Talleka hidden in her but pocket. She took it out and thought about Jack. Wondered how this other brother might compare to him. Appearance, personality, and skill. Then she thought of a question:
"What is my older brother's name?"
And black ink appeared on the slip of paper forming the word-the name... Killian Jones.
