Somehow, someway, the guardians defeated the nightmares. Jack was disappointed and angry; he was pissed off at Pitch and at himself. 'Maybe if I was a little more stealthy, maybe then Sophie would turn back to normal and she could go back home to Jamie and her mom.'
But no one was more disappointed in themselves than the Pooka; "It's my fault. I-I had her in my arms right there….and now she's gone again."
Toothiana gave Bunnymund a hug, "Don't beat yourself up Bunnymund. It's not your fault, we'll get her back."
As much as she wanted have a pity party she wouldn't do so until she didn't see even a sliver of a chance of retrieving Sophie .
"Yeah, you know we will and you can punch Pitch first," Jack said, gripping his staff.
Then Mother Nature asked, "So how are we going to do that?"
"I've got an idea and you're just the person, Jack," the Russian said.
He told them his plan and seeing the merits, Jack said "Let's do it."
{Pitch's lair}
Pitch Black and Sophie Black had been busy making nightmares for their empire; they were collecting them for the day they can create their very own nightmarish wonderland out of the earth. It would be marvelous, a place where there would be no hope, no wonder, dreams would be crushed, there would be no memories of happier times, and most of all, NO FUN.
Only darkness and loneliness where he and his daughter could live in peace!
"Yes peace," Pitch breathed as looked at the globe slowly turning dark.
"Our Empire is coming together," he smirked.
Sophie was getting stronger every time she made a nightmare to give to children. Her once oceanic blue eyes were turning into Pitch's golden ones.
"Come on Sophie we have to make more nightmares," he cooed, picking up his child.
The golden eyed child smiled," 'kay daddy."
No matter how many times Pitch hears her say the word, it makes his heart of stone flutter like it's nothing more than a feather.

Jamie was feeling depressed and agitated all at the same time. He was worried for his little sister and Jack had yet to come back with any news for him. As of late, Jamie stayed in his room instead of playing outside with his friends, "Sophie is my little sister," he repeated to himself for the fifth time that hour.
Tucked beneath his blankets and sheets; Jamie did his best to grasp on to the fleeting memories of his sister, he forced himself to think about how she looked on Easter mornings, how she liked to have her sandwiches cut diagonal and not vertical, how her...
The eight-year-old sat up slowly, sheets falling around his sweaty body. "Sophie? Who's that? She's my sister…. right? I don't remember having a sister? It's just mom and me..."
"I don't have a little sister," he mumbled to himself as he walked out of his room to go play with his friends.
And that was the last tie Sophie had to being human, without her brother's love and hope for her safe return, Sophie now was Pitch's daughter-a child of the darkness.

Everyone went to North's sleigh; the plan was to get all of Sophie's dreams and…well, that was it pretty much it, beside beating up Pitch, of course.
"Pitch is going to Burgess," the ebony haired woman said suddenly, the whisperings of the trees filling her with dread as to what they will find.
Santa then used his teleportation globes to bring them to Burgess. The town was in a peaceful sleep as they got out of their sleigh near Burgess's forested edge.
"Sandy you have her dreams, right?" Jack questioned as they tried to navigate the night-cloaked woods.
The Sandman nodded as he patted the spot where he kept the dream-sand on him. They then heard a faint sound of bubbly laughter and raced through the woods to find the source. What they found was the most unbelievable scene ever; Pitch Black was tickling Sophie who was smiling as if Pitch was truly her father.
"Love you daddy," Sophie said suddenly, yawning as she nuzzled herself into the King of Darkness's side.
Pitch patted her on back, "As do I my little monster."
Soon after Pitch lifted her into his arms, she nodded off against his shoulder. "You can come out Guardians," Pitch called quietly.
"Or what?" Jack tested gripping his staff.
Pitch scoffed, "You can be consumed by my nightmares if you wish."
The Guardians left their hiding place, Pitch's cold eyes caught sight of his once-daughter.
"Oh, you're here too," he muttered.
"Pitch give her back," Toothiana demanded.
The king looked at the fairy questionably, "Why?"
"Because she already has a family," Bunnymund growled out not wanting to wake up his ankle biter.
The Nightmare King smiled evilly," Oh I know that, but time has run out now and Sophie is all mine as of tonight. Prepare yourselves guardians you are going to be hit hard by my army very soon."
Jack and the others' eyes widened, 'D-did we lose?' Jack thought; 'This can't be true...Jamie! Did he forget his sister?! Oh no, this is all my fault!.' Jack internally wept.
"Face it Guardians, I won this war and you didn't," he said vanishing into the darkness with his daughter in his arms.
Hey stars! Sorry I haven't been writing here as much with pile of homework, high school, and Wattpad I've been writing as of late. On my profile I have this poll should I write a squeal to this.
