so welcome back! now if i'll ever be able to get back to my inspiration into reviewing again i'll have to review something easy, and by the looks of the title... it says it all!
yep this time i will be reviewing a t.v. show and there are different rules because well...it's a t.v. show. well first of all these are the rules
1. sorry but i will only give a synopsis of the actual t.v. show itself, you would have to tell me a episode to review individually
2. I may go out on my own and explain some jokes i like or some moments, and they will or might be repeated.
3. i will tell about the characters in the short synopsis review which would be this one.
4. sometimes i cannot watch certain episode over the internet, and i don't have cable and i can't find the episodes on DVD so if you ask me to review a certain episode you can either write down a back up or i'll review whatever come before or after the certain episode, ( but i'll try my hardest to watch it.)
5. in every episode i review i will also review the song if it shows up
6. everything else is the same.
so here's the synopsis of...Glee!
now i got to say i've been lacking on keeping up with the episodes, and i was pretty late when it came out, heck! i even started watching it after the main character dies. ( go headed hate me all you want) i did caught up though. and i got to say ( and some people might hate me for saying so) but i actually think High School Musical should've been this.
so what's the story?
Will Schuester a spanish teacher in Lima high school in Ohio finds out that a club called Glee ( a music club involving mostly Acappella) is being shut down, so he promises the principal that he would get Glee club back on top at their school, so he holds auditions, picks the exact people who audition and inspires the high school students to do their best in order to win. this also leads to drama that the kids face into joining Glee and also the teacher, and growing up to become who they really are, which i can see why High School Musical didn't go this direction.
the t.v. show itself really goes into adult like things. things you would actually hear or experience in real life, like being gay, getting pregnant, the choice of your friends, religion, bulling, stress, being popular, picking sides, love ,marriage, you know what the list goes on forever.
one of the problems glee had that it never stopped even after the main character dies in real life, and i'm sad to say Glee is going to end, after for about 6-7 seasons it's going to end, that was shorter than How I Met Your Mother which in fact amazing as it is being a part of HIMYM history it could be told all in one movie.
the second problem i have is that their choice of the main character, don't get me wrong i love him! Cori Monteith Playing as Finn Hudson is in my opinion not a well developed character, in fact i thought the show involved the teacher and not a student, since he was in glee when he was in high school, feels a love for glee, and most of all goes through most of the drama this t.v. show gives. you know being teacher and all.
it is also explained that all of the characters play a big part in the t.v. series, which i think is very creative and rare, you don't normally see that, also they do that in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE! that's impressive.
the good thing i like about this episode is that they don't keep the main cast for very long, they grow up, but sometimes returns which is very clever.
the other good thing about this t.v. show is the songs. ( god dang i barely talk about songs in these reviews.) i have to say the thing that got me to watch this whole thing from beginning to end was a cover song called: SOME NIGHTS, from F.U.N. yeah that song that ironically tells about the civil war who knew?
i didn't find out until afterwards that, that song was in like the newer seasons. only because i wanted to meet Blaine Anderson who turns out to be gay. ( there goes my dreams)
i have to say i didn't see the t.v. show for it's songs i saw it for it's drama, heck! minus all of the songs from each season and you got a bunch of movies!
ok so that synopsis was a jumble full of mess but hey i got my point out didn't i? so lets go on with the characters:
I'm going to be lazy for once and just give you the names of the original cast, you know from the first season! because nobody gives a shit about the others for some reason.
uh, where should i start?
Kurt Hummel: played by Chris Colfer, in the show he is the gay guy before blaine showed up. he is often bullied but his friends is always there by his side, and i will say nothing more than that other than the fact he is a really good singer.
Sue Slyvester: played by Jane Lynch doesn't her character name sound like someone who sues people for a hobby? in the show she is the cheerleader coach called the cheerios ( now i know why the cereal isn't making money.) she is the villain that's all i have to say. I mean...wow what a b**ch she plays.
Artie Abrams: played by Kevin Mchale he is crippled, and soooo awesome. that's all.
Rachel Berry: played by Lea Michele she is a hard working girl with the hopes to becoming a Broadway actress and she is Jewish...i'm not being racist she says that the moment we're introduced to her.
Will Schuester: played by Matthew Morrison he is the spanish teacher with the hopes to bring glee club back on top. I still think he should be the lead.
Santana Lopez: played by Naya Rivera she is a cheerio that joins glee club and has a interesting secrets that is later on explained far after the series was aired.
Tina Cohen-Chang: played by Jenna Ushkowitz she is Asian # 1...again not being racist.
Mike Chang: played by Harry Shum JR. he is Asian # 2...I'M NOT TRYING TO BE RACIST!
Mercedes Jones: played by Amber Riley she is...Mercedes Jones...is there any other definition for her?
Brittany Pierce: played by Heather Morris she is a pretty dumb blonde with a lot to say about the world, and along with mike she's a very good dancer.
Emma Pillsbury: played by Jayma Mays she is the student counciler who is know for her pamphlets with hilarious names and has a crush on the spanish teacher, but he's married.
Quinn Fabray: played by Dianna Agron what is up with these character names? she is the most popular cheerio in school and she...she...she gets pregnant ok! and yeah she dates Finn for a while but then eh lets just leave it at that.
Noah 'puck' Puckerman : played by Mark Salling he is...OH COME ON! HE'S JEWISH! STOP GIVING ME THESE JOKES! yeah, yeah he's Jewish and he is the bad boy of the pack lets just leave it.
and the star of our show is...
Finn hudson: played by Cory Monteith lets just say he's the Troy Bolton of High School Musical, R.I.P you famous actor.
well that took a while i actually had to write the names of each character and there is like 20 more oh well i'll give names when i want to.
now facts for this show is not really needed even for a show like this and when i do explain the facts i'll make them go with the story and there is a lot let me just say this...
have you ever seen disney's new movie frozen? two surprises for you there.
and, and keep an eye out for Dorthy of oz.
my conclusion is that this is a great show you either love it or hate it, i love it and i hope you do too.
see you next time!
