Hey Sweet Pea

EPISODE TWO: A HOUSE DIVIDED

CHAPTER TWO: THE ROAD AHEAD

A/N: Hey, I'm back. I'm sorry with all these time-gaps between updates, I've just been focused on my other fic, and I want to get this going again. I'm going to try out a new "writing format" and I want to know if you guys like it. Let me know. If you don't like it - tell me in the reviews and I'll switch back to my other format. Anyways, on with the next chapter!

The group had to leave. Carver came inside the cabin, thankfully he eventually left - but Carver knew that she was lying about everything. If they stayed, it was almost one-hundred percent likely they would catch the group and take them back to the camp. They couldn't let that happen.

Luke: Let's get a move on.

An hour later.

Alvin: You alright, Bec?

Rebecca: I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm walking.

Alvin: Just let me know if you start to feel - uh, anything, okay?

Rebecca: Thanks, silly bear.

Clementine walked with Luke and Pete.

Pete: That was close back there.

Luke: What exactly happened!?

Pete: FUBAR.

Luke: You say that alot. What the hell does it even mean?

Pete: Pardon my french, Clementine. Fucked Up By All Repair.

Clementine: I've heard swear words before.

Pete: That probably shouldn't of been the case. Clem here saved my life. If it wasn't for her - I'd probably be a dead sack of shit.

Pete smiled at her, and she returned the favor.

Luke: Now, uh - Clem, are you sure you still wanna come with us?

Clementine: I want to find Christa, but...I don't know where she is.

Luke: Didn't you say she was headin' north?

Clementine: Yeah.

Luke: That's where we're going. Look, you'd have a better chance coming with us.

Clementine nodded, she liked the group - a few of them didn't exactly meet eye to eye to her, but she liked them. Sarah was a bit weird, Carlos was very protective of his daughter, and Clementine understood. She didn't think she should be sheltered as much as she was. Alvin was a nice man, and quiet. Rebecca was rather harsh but Clementine figured it was because she was pregnant. Nick was an okay guy, he was a good dude, especially because he apologized after how harsh he was towards the eleven year old. Pete was a nice man, probably the oldest of the group. Clementine trusted him the most, and Luke as well.

Pete: I still can't believe a girl like you made it this far on your own, or at least - the times that you were seperated from the people you were with.

Clementine: It wasn't easy.

Pete: I bet, Clementine. I bet.

Carlos: Pete, can I talk to you for a second?

Pete nodded, walking a bit faster so he could catch up to Carlos.

Luke: I can't even believe you outsmarted Carlos. More like the whole group.

Clementine: I can't believe you guys couldn't tell a dog bite from a walker bite.

Luke: Good thing you spoke up when you did. You mighta died..

Clementine: Thanks for that.

Luke: Look, I - I didn't know, I'm sorry, okay?

Clementine: It's fine.

After a few seconds of silence, Luke then reached for his pocket, pulling out a map of the area.

Luke: I figure we got about four or five more days to reach those mountains - Now, if they're trackin' us we should be able to lose them travelin' up here.

Rebecca: Five days!?

Alvin: It's gonna be okay, Bec.

Carlos: We have to keep moving it's our only chance.

Day 458

Lee and Molly kept walking. There was still a few more miles to go until they would reach the town.

Molly: Maybe we should stop at that ranger station.

Lee: We can't.

Molly: Why the hell not!?

Lee: There's a blizzard coming.

Molly: You got some sixth sense I don't know about?

Lee: I had a friend of mine back when I was teaching, he said when the sky has wavy lines like that, when it's winter time - it means a blizzard is on the way.

Molly: Wavy lines!? How the hell does a teacher know when a blizzard is coming!?

Lee: He told me and then an hour later - the blizzard was there.

Molly: That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard.

Lee: You obviously haven't heard yourself.

Molly: Excuse me!?

Lee: All you do is complain.

Molly: How is that the 'stupidest' shit?

Lee: Because-

Lee and Molly were interrupted when they heard the sound of a motor running. It sounded like a car was driving towards their directions.

Lee: Hide!

Molly: No shit.

Lee and Molly both ran to the Ranger's station, quickly closing the door. Molly looked around to see that the lockers were open, as if this place hadn't even been touched. Lee crouched down to the floor, where he spotted a dead corpse. Lee groaned, turning his body so he wouldn't be facing the body. The car then stopped, Molly peeked her head up looking to see four men exiting a car, one with long black hair, and a beard. He had an AC/DC Shirt on, and the second man had no hair at all, just a clean shaved head, he was wearing a long-sleeved shirt that read 'Michigan State'. The third man had a small afro, an African American. He had a white jacket that matched the color of the snow. The fourth man had a biker jacket and he had a shotgun in his hands, everyone else had pistol holsters with pistols inside.

Man 1: This place looks nice.

Man 2: Wouldn't count on it, Andre.

Andre: Aren't you a barrel of optimism, James?

James: Ain't no time for optimism.

Man 3: Y'all better hurry up in there, we need to get goin'.

Man 4: We'll keep watch out here. You two get in there and get out fast.

The african american was named Andre, the bald headed man was James. Lee and Molly quickly then hid under the desk.

Lee: Push the walker against us.

Molly: I swear to god...

Lee: Hug me.

Molly: Hug you?

Lee: Just do it.

Molly then placed her hands around his shoulders, he then pulled her against his chest so the two of them were hugging on the ground. Lee then grabbed the walker he found earlier, he then pushed the walker against them.

Molly: I hate you.

The door then opened, the two strangers walking inside observing the ranger station.

James: This place looks like it has a decent amount of supplies left...

Andre: How can you tell?

James: Look at it. Scavengers don't clean up after they search through everything.

Andre: Good point. The lockers ain't even open. Still got the lock on it.

James: Any way to break it?

Andre: Eh, I'll look for a key, or some sort of paper with the combinations on it.

James: Try that desk.

James pointed to the desk that Lee and Molly were hiding under.

James: Goddamn walker.

Andre: Is it dead?

James: Looks like it.

Andre: Why don't ya make sure, just in case.

Lee's heart raced. If he grabbed the walker, then they'd be exposed. James sighed, grabbing his knife and stuck the knife into the walker's head, almost injuring Molly.

Andre: Feel like a big man, now?

James chuckles, rummaging through the drawers.

Man 3: Y'all about done in there?!

Andre: We'll be out in a jiffy.

James: Who says jiffy?

Andre: Don't even start.

Man 4: We gotta go, walkers coming!

James and Andre quickly reacted.

Andre: We gotta get those supplies!

James: Not worth it, let's move!

Andre and James ran out of the store.

Molly: Then that is our cue to get the hell out of dodge.

Lee: Agreed.

Molly and Lee pushed the walker off, quickly getting up and peeking out the door to see the four men pointing guns towards the two of them. There were no walkers around.

Man 4: Did you really think you could hide from us!?

Shit.
