I don't know what to say apart from sorry.
I know this is late but I honestly cannot write anything good with this story! This chapter was supposed to be about Killian and Emma falling in love blah blah. I have never been in love myself so its pretty hard to write about someone else doing it.
This post is just so you know I'm not dead and I really am trying to get this story up and running again.
I hate it when you follow a story and you wait forever for the next chapter to come up then you get a message about a new chapter but then its just an update on telling you why the story is late. If you know me by now you will know that I am not at all "mainstream" like the rest of the authors who do that so here is a little side story of little Killy (This has no relevance to the actual story).
Try and enjoy it. There's no song to listen to for this one, its going to be too short for a full song.
Killian Jones:
Freya Jones was an ordinary woman.
Her children, however, were not.
The little town they lived in was an average place, not much to tell. Everyone in it actually prided themselves of being boring- well not boring, ordinary. It doesn't matter where you went, whether it was the bakers or the tailor shop, there was always rules and restrictions to stop people from having fun. Or at least that's how Killian saw it.
It was an ordinary day in the little town when Freya took her two boys out shopping for some supplies. Nine year old Killian was poking twelve year old Liam with a stick he found, pretending it was a sword and in return Liam was making his little brother laugh by dramatically falling to his "death". Freya just rolled her eyes playfully as they were always goofing around like this.
"Come on now, boys, don't start standing around in the street. It's against the town rules to loiter." She told them both with a firm voice but her kind smile never faltered so the boys just obediently followed their mother.
"Why is everything fun against the town rules?" Killian asked, pouting. Liam just elbowed him in the ribs for talking back to their mother. Killian might have always been a bit reluctant to follow rules but Liam loved them as he knew that they were there for a reason and that reason was to keep you safe.
"Liam don't hit your brother." She half-heartedly told him off. She didn't know why she bothered anymore, they were always fighting.
'Boys will be boys, I suppose.' Freya mentally told herself.
Liam innocently grinned up at his mother until his brother tackled him to the ground and they started rolling on the ground trying to pin the other first.
Others in the street gave Freya a disapproving look but she gave them no notice. Ever since Freya gave birth out of wed-lock (she always claimed to be married to Davey but they never had an official wedding) people have always been a bit sceptical of her. They never believed she could be a good mother.
"Boys!" They immediately stopped their dummy fighting and stood up. "You can play when we're back home." She ruffled Liam's hair and took little Killy's hand. "We wont be long, I promise."
After 10 minutes Freya managed to get to the market and buy her usual supplies and even got Killian and Liam a little cupcake as a treat for behaving the whole time at the market. The Jones' were not a rich family, they had just enough money to pay the bills and that's only because Freya had to get a night job when Davey left her with all the responsibilities of raising two children.
Only harlots (prostitutes) and beggars had jobs in the night and Freya Jones was definitely not a beggar.
To make up for her shameful ways, Freya would do her best to teach her sons about honour and chivalry and it was obvious they couldn't follow their father's example.
She already knew she was doing a good job because when they got back home Liam opened the door for her without her having to ask.
"Why thank you, kind sir." The dark haired woman grinned and gave him a small curtsey before walking into her home.
"My pleasure, mam." He bowed back to her with a smile. Killian tried to imitate his brother but threw himself off balance and ended up on the floor. Before Freya could help him up, Liam was already lifting his him off the floor and messing his hair.
If anything where to ever happen to her, God forbid, she knew that her boys would look out for each other.
"Dinner wont be ready for a few hours so why don't you two go out back and continue your little squabble." She said while unpacking her cooking ingredients from her little basket. The boys ran outside, pushing each other to be first in the back garden no sooner than she had finished her sentence.
Killian and Liam were always inventing new games to play with each other but their favourite was pirates. They would snap some twigs off a tree and sword fight till their little hearts were content and that's exactly what they did that day.
"On guard, Captain Jones!" Killian said with a small smirk and wielded his twig as if it truly was an actual sword.
"I will not stand for mutiny on my ship you scallywag!" Liam easily ducked his brothers attacked and defended them with his own twig. They battled it out like true warriors for a solid hour and a half (both their twigs broke and they had to improvise) before Freya called them inside the house again.
"So what did you boys do outside?" She asked them with a kind smile while she was waiting for her soup to cool down.
"Me and Liam became pirates and he got promoted to Captain of the ship but that was only because he's older-" Killian started but was quickly interrupted.
"Actually it was because I had more experience with ships." Liam grinned. Freya just playfully rolled her eyes.
"Yeah whatever. Anyway I made a rebellion against him and we had a sword fight."
"Who won?" Their mother asked curiously.
"...That is still undecided." Liam answered with a shy smile. "We could always just call it a draw and captain the ship together?"
"Deal!"
Yep, her boys were certainly imaginative.
