CHAPTER 6

Three silver haired men stood in the bushes outside of the mansion that belonged to the four Shin-ra Soldiers.

"Come on, brothers. Lets go back to father. I don't think we will be able to take on the four Soldiers on our own." the one with shoulder-length hair said to the other two.

"We can find another way to get him back." the one with longer hair added.

"Lets go then." the very short haired one said.

They vanished into the forest.

Cloud awoke the next morning to hear Fenrir bark at someone.

It was probably Zack.

Fenrir seemed to be wary of the dog-like man.

"You're awake now, Cloud!" Yep it was Zack.

Cloud slowly sat up. "Zack, what are you doing?" he asked.

"Um, I was just going to check on you." Zack replied.

"Didn't I tell you to leave him alone Zack?" Angeal asked as he came up behind the raven and pushed him away.

Angeal walked over to Cloud and said, "It's good to see you awake, Cloud. You had us worried."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." Cloud replied.

Sephiroth swept into the room and said, "It's alright, Cloud." The man went to stand beside the blond. "I'm just glad to see you awake."

"What happened to you anyway?" Genesis asked, coming into the room as well.

Cloud shook his head, complexed and replied, "I don't know. That's happened before but Hojo wouldn't tell me why... Fenrir, he ran off. What was he after?"

"Shadow Creatures. He's amazing! His power, ability is incredible. He took one down that was bigger than what me and Zack fought." Genesis said.

"He is, isn't he? Hojo made him that way." Cloud responded with a dead tone.

Fenrir was experimented on too, just like they thought.

"Why don't you come downstairs and we can eat? I'm sure you're hungry, Cloud. The rest of us are." Angeal said.

At that statement Cloud's stomach growled loudly. Everyone couldn't help but laugh.

Sephiroth helped Cloud clean up and then took him downstairs to eat with the others.

After breakfast Cloud listened as the Soldiers packed to head back to Shin-ra. Angeal fussed at Zack.

Sephiroth came into the room and sat his already packed bag near the door.

Sephiroth then walked over to Cloud and crouched down in front of him. "Hello, Cloud."

"Hello, Seph." Cloud replied giving the man a smile.

"I wish you could see." Sephiroth whispered. "When we get to Shin-ra we'll figure out what to do about Hojo and everyone else there not finding out about you. I don't want to loose you. You mean too much to me."

"You do too." Cloud replied. "Are you sure you want to take me with you?"

"Yes, I'm sure." Sephiroth said. "We'll find a way to get rid of Hojo."

"I hope so. I don't want him to hurt anyone else." Cloud said.

Two days later it was very late as the four Soldiers walked into Shin-ra. Most of everyone was asleep.

They took the stairs since they didn't have cameras in them. The elevators did.

Cloud, who had fallen asleep during the trip there was put in Sephiroth's spare room to sleep. Fenrir curled up beside him.

Everyone went to their own rooms on their floor and unpacked and then went to sleep.

Sephiroth got up the next morning and checked on Cloud.

The boy was still fast asleep.

Sephiroth touched his head lightly. "I'm so glad to have you back." he whispered.

The general then left the room to find Angeal in the kitchen making breakfast.

"Angeal?" Sephiroth questioned.

"Well, you can't cook so I thought I'd do it for you. Hope that's okay. Cloud needs nourishment." Angeal explained.

"Thank you then." Sephiroth replied.

Angeal smiled. "The others are going to come over too, if that's okay."

Sephiroth nodded.

About thirty minutes later the sound of something hitting the floor could be heard.

"Cloud? Is that you?" Sephiroth asked as he walked out of the bathroom with his hair wrapped in a towel and fully clothed.

"Seph?" came Cloud's voice.

Sephiroth walked into Cloud's room to find the boy laying on the floor.

"Are you alright Cloud?" Sephiroth asked.

"I think so. I fell off the bed?" Cloud said.

"Yes, you did." Sephiroth said as he helped Cloud sit back down on the bed. Cloud rubbed his arms.

"Come on. Breakfast should be ready soon. Angeal's cooking. I can't cook to save my life." Sephiroth said.

"You can't cook?" Cloud asked.

"No. I can't." Sephiroth replied.

"Hey! Did you just make a joke Seph?" Zack asked excitedly as he peaked into the room.

"No." Sephiroth said in a flat voice. "Zackary, why don't you help River get dressed?"

"Alright mate!" Zack said with a mock salute.

Sephiroth shook his head. "I'll be back when I get some clothes on Cloud." he said to the little blond.

"Okay." Cloud said and listened to Sephiroth's retreating footsteps.

"Let's see what I can find to put on you, kid." Zack said, smiling even though Cloud couldn't see it.

Soon Cloud had a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt on. Cloud tried to walk but Zack ended up having to carry him to the kitchen table.

Cloud was sat down and soon everyone began to eat.

DOWN IN THE BOWLS OF SHIN-RA

An angry shout came from Professor Hojo as he paced the room. "What do you mean you didn't think you can take them on?" he asked the three men in front of him.

"We can't take them all on, Father." the one with short silver hair said. "You said you wanted the Cetra in tact right? He would be harmed if we engaged them."

Hojo growled. "Fine! But keep an eye on them. Take him away when you find a chance!" He then stalked off.

Cloud laid his head down on the table as it began to hurt again.

"Cloud, are you alright?" Angeal asked as he cleaned up the plates.

Zack, Genesis and Sephiroth had had to leave to go to work. Angeal had the day off until the evening when he had a short mission to go on.

"Headache." whispered Cloud.

"Like before?" Angeal inquired.

"Somewhat, but not as bad." Cloud replied.

Angeal ruffled the boy's hair. "You should rest some more."

Cloud nodded quietly and let Angeal carry him back to bed to sleep.

Angeal left the door ajared and then finished cleaning up.
