"So, when are you going to tell me who this person is that you're trying to get the attention of?" Steve asked as he and Natasha continued to walk down the sidewalk.
"When I think I've completely got his attention." she answered. "Don't you know what it's like to try to get someone's attention and they might be oblivious to your intentions?"
"I do actually." Steve answered. "I know exactly how that feels."
"Thanks again for helping me." she said. "I don't know very many men who would help me with this. Most of them would take advantage of my request. Even saying to take it further to make it 'more believable'."
"I would never do that to you." Steve vowed. "You know that, right?"
"I do." Natasha answered. "And you have no idea how much I appreciate that, Steve."
Steve lightly smiled. He was happy to help a friend, even though it was for something that sounded funny when he thought about it.
He really wondered who it was that Natasha had such feelings for that she had to pretend to have a boyfriend to make them jealous.
Being honest with himself, he was jealous of this person. They had to be a real piece of work to catch the eye and heart of Natasha Romanoff.

"Are you even looking for a girlfriend?" Natasha asked.
"I was thinking about it but, being Captain America, what kind of gal would put up with me suddenly taking off for missions?"
"Maybe you can find a girl within SHIELD." Natasha suggested.
"I thought SHIED agents couldn't date one another?" Steve asked.
"Well, Fury makes acceptions in some cases." Natasha said.
"Well, if he made that acception with me, there is one lady who has gotten my attention." Steve admitted.
"Really?" Natasha asked with an interested tone. "Who is it?"
"You won't tell me who you're after, so I won't say who I'm after." Steve answered proudly.
"Not fair." Natasha playfully pouted.
"Tell me who you're interested in and I'll tell you who I like." Steve offered.
"Can't." Natasha answered. "I know that he hasn't picked up on my intentions yet."
"Tell you what, when he gets the idea we'll answer each other's questions." he offered.
"Deal." she agreed.
"Good. So, what should we do now to see if your plan is working?"
"I have an idea. Come with me." Natasha answered as she began to lead the way toward a public area. "This will surely get the attention of the one we want."
"What is it?" Steve asked as they came toward a large stone fountain.
He wasn't given a verbal answer. Instead, Natasha pulled him down and placed her lips on his.
