Sooo, with much pushing from Ayukazi With Kitty—yeah I called you out on it—here's the next chapter! Next, I'm probably going to work on Lazy Boy and one of my Pein fanfictions.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, Itachi, Lady Tsunade, Shikamaru, Ino, Chouji, Shino, Kiba, Hinata, Sakura, Sasuke, Sai, or Ayu. I only own Ayu's—now dead—subordinates…sooo…enjoy! Oh and the plot! I own the plot!
*With Ayu now*
As she continued down the path, Ayu was still wary of the Naruto look-a-like. She continuously checked all around herself to make sure she wasn't being followed. She was so caught up watching her surroundings that she forgot to pay attention to where she was running and fell, hurting her ankle.
She stifled a scream as she heard the bone snap, digging her nails into the soft earth that she had landed on. Using her hands, she pushed her upper body up and began feeling her ankle.
There was no doubt about it: it was broken. That's just great, she thought, mentally scolding herself. That's all I need is a broken ankle! I can't walk! Forget walking I can't defend myself if I was attacked right now!
She paused her thoughts for a moment before contradicting her prior sentence. Okay, well maybe I would, but it would involve standing on my hands and using one leg to attack. That might not be the most useful thing ever, but…at least it's something…
Bracing herself for the pain, she tried to stand, but when she began putting pressure on her right ankle, she would let out a small yelp and collapse again. She tried this a few more times before giving up on walking on her feet.
It's been a while since I last did this, she shook her head, preparing herself. I hope I still can…
She put her hands on the ground and used her one good leg to push herself up into a perfect handstand. She hesitantly began walking, sighing when she found it easier to go as time passed.
Ayu heard a snapping noise, and paused, feeling awkward as she listened and looked around at her surroundings. She was in a clearing. The grass was a lush green and there were flowers of every color growing around, and—despite the large trees surrounding the area—there were no dead leaves littering the ground.
She heard the noise again, and looked around frantically, but relaxed when she saw that it was just Kisame and Itachi.
She sighed and dropped herself into a laying position in the soft grass. "Thank Jashin you two are here," she said, relieved. "I broke my ankle, and…" she shook her head. "Can you…help me please?"
The two looked at each other and nodded, walking over to help their fallen comrade. Itachi crouched down next to her, staring her in the eyes as Kisame felt her ankle, unusually quiet.
"It's broken alright," he said, breaking the peaceful silence. At the sudden noise, Ayu jumped, and then felt foolish and looked down at her hands, blushing slightly.
The three settled into a peaceful silence once again, but this time it was not broken by Kisame, but the sound of leaves rubbing against each other in the distance.
"We should get going," Kisame said, going to lift up Ayu, but Itachi stopped him.
Itachi picked Ayu up, bridal style. "You should be more careful," he said in that emotionless voice of his.
Suddenly the rustling of leaves got louder and the sound of panting filled the once silent clearing. Itachi dropped Ayu onto the ground and got into a fighting stance, protectively in front of her.
Ayu looked around the Uchiha and felt herself grow more confused. How could that be Itachi and Kisame if I'm with Itachi and Kisame…?
Ayu mentally slapped herself for being so naive to think automatically that just because they looked like her teammates meant that they were her teammates.
But they look just the same, and they sound the same, and…Ayu felt an oncoming headache, and wanted nothing more than to go home.
"Itachi…" she whispered, loud enough for the four of them to hear. The two Itachis turned to her. She waved them over to her. "I need to find out who the real you is," she said. "Tell me what village I came from."
"Konoha," they answered simultaneously.
"What's my middle name?"
"You don't have one."
"How old was I when I started and graduated from the academy?" she asked.
"Four," they replied.
"How old was I when I became a jonin?"
"Five."
What? They can't both know everything! What am I going to do? Shit, I didn't want to…
"How old was I when I had my first kiss and who was it with?"
The Itachi that had picked her up answered immediately. "Me," he said without wavering.
Ayu shook her head slowly, pointing to the other Itachi. "I haven't had my first kiss," she said, extending her hand to the Itachi that she knew was the right one.
He smiled down at her, gesturing Kisame over. Kisame came over gladly, but was attacked by the fake Itachi. "What the..?" the shark man exclaimed.
The fake Kisame came rushing towards Itachi—or so the two thought. he ran by Itachi and scooped up Ayu, racing through the forest.
Ayu didn't know how to feel. Where is he taking me? She asked herself. She came to her senses and began screaming, hoping someone would come and help her. "HELP ME! ITACHI! KISAME! HELP ME!"
The fake Kisame that was holding her did nothing to stop her from screaming, so she continued until she lost her voice. Even then she tried to scream. Eventually the fake Kisame knocked her out, and she laid limp in his arms.
Sooo, Ayu you asked for an extra-long chapter, and I gave you…a shorter than average chapter filled to the brim with suspense! Or not…whichever
Sooo? What will happen to Ayu? Will her kidnapper(s) keep her alive? Will she be okay? Will somebody save her or will she be left for dead? Find out next time in the next installment of WTP!
Anyways, loves and hugs my dearest minions, please review! That would make both Ayukazi and I very happy!
Love,
Vee
