To all my dear readers...! you are my strength to carry on writing. Thank you so much for all your wonderful messages. Here is the next episode...! please bear with me if there are any errors.
Thank you
Harsh winds and heavy rains blocked the entire view. Everything nearly got blacked-out and I was unable to drive on the main road. The environment suddenly got covered in a thick blanket of darkness and the lightning and thunder kept crashing as if the whole world is going to fall apart. I stopped the car on the roadside to avoid any dangers from driving in the storm.
"Can't risk driving any further in this weather..." I said while leaning back against the seat.
"We are trapped in the car I guess..." she said while looking at the storm.
"Once I get a better view we can drive through it, this is an antique machine, nothing is automated, so it does what I want it to do..." I said.
"Is that your little secret to keep on using one of these cars...?" she asked with a smile.
"I don't like taking orders from machines... that's why I still like the old world machines; they took orders from us, not the other way around, they aren't controlled by any form of artificial intelligence" I said.
My phone was blinking.
"Yes James..." I said.
"Master Han...! Are you still inside the city sir...?" he asked.
"We are actually stuck up in quiet a situation here James, but there is nothing to worry about...!" I said followed by a giggle.
"We just tried to outrun this blasted storm but we failed..." I continued.
"Now where are you master...?" he asked me.
"We are stuck here in the car by the roadside and can't drive any further in this storm...!" I said.
"Is she with you...?" he asked.
"Yes...! She's right here with me..." I replied.
"Alan let me in with some terrifying information which shocked me to the core," James said.
"He spoke to me as well, don't you worry too much James... I can take care of myself, you know me better..." I said.
"Yes, master I do know it... if it's necessary, I can bring the truck to extract you from where you are..." he said.
"It won't be necessary James... once the road is clear I will drive my way back..." I said.
"Just be careful master Han, don't take things too lightly..." he said and hung up.
"What's with James...?" she asked me.
"He's just little worried over us... These electric storms can be quiet dangerous..." I said.
"I have a feeling that James dislikes me..." Saya said while looking outside the storm.
"What makes you think that way...?" I asked her.
"He fears for your safety..." she said while laying her palm against the cold shutter.
"My Father has entrusted my responsibility to him upon his departure... he doesn't want to fail him" I said.
Saya smirked and turned at me. We looked at each other face to face and she looked into my eyes.
"Han...!" she said softly and paused.
"Yes...!" I replied giving her my attention.
"Why do I feel an insatiable appetite towards you...?" she asked with a toothy evil grin.
"I find it increasingly difficult to control..." she said and paused.
"How do you explain what you feel Saya...?" I asked her softly.
"There is something about your blood Han...! I'm sorry to tell you this..." she let her heart out while looking at me with her big red eyes.
I smiled at her, I can feel that she is in a difficult situation. I rolled up my left sleeve to the elbow and the stretched it towards her.
"What... What are you doing Han...?" she asked me with a slight panic in her tone.
"I am going to give you what you yearn for..." I said with a mad scientist style smile.
She couldn't control herself any further so she slowly grabbed my arm without hesitation and I felt her sharp fangs sinks on to my flesh like a hot nail on butter.
I watched her as she slowly enjoys my blood. Her eyes were glowing red and her grip got stronger and stronger.
I observed her carefully until I started feeling dizzy. I couldn't see her clearly now and my vision has begun to turn blurry. My heart began to beat faster and faster.
"S... Saya...!" I could barely speak when I tried, then I passed out on my seat.
I didn't know how long I have been out, but I kind of woke up for the sound of her voice. She was gently patting on my cheek.
"Han...! Please... I'm so sorry..." She was sniveling while trying to wake me up. I found her sitting on my lap trying her best to revive me.
When my vision began to stabilize to see her worried blood stained face looking right at me.
I smiled at her in a careless manner.
"How long have I been out...?" I asked her while straightening myself up on the seat.
"Almost hour and a half..." she said. I saw tears rolling down her cheeks.
"I am so glad you're alright, I got carried away while feeding..." she cried.
I saw that she had bandaged my arm using the first aid kit in the car. She had given me a recovery injection as well.
"Oh Han...!" she said and embraced me tightly with teary eyes while sitting on my lap. I had no other choice but to hold her. She stayed like that for a little while and I could hear the heavy throbbing of her heart in the silence between us.
She leaned back while looking down with a slight embarrassment then wiped her eyes.
"It's alright..." I said softly and wiped her tears away with my hands.
"I shouldn't have done that to you... I couldn't control myself then when I looked back, you were unconscious and looking all paled up" she said and paused.
"I thought I have killed you..." she continued.
"My sweet Han... please don't ever put your life in danger like that... I think... I think I am slowly turning in to a natural born chiropteran queen, just like how my sister was...!" she said and held my face from her hands looking into my eyes through her tears.
I held her hands gently.
"Saya...! It's not your fault...! You are who are you are and there is nothing wrong with that" I said softly.
She nodded while sniffing up her nose.
"I completely forgot everything for the fright you gave me...! Look where I am now...! It is indecent to be sitting on you like this..." she said with a slight blush on her face and quickly changed to the other seat.
"There is nobody out there in this storm to see us..." I said with a chuckle.
"My dear Han... quit teasing me; life isn't a funny game to be reckless like that" she said.
I shrugged followed by a smile and she kept looking at me with a shy smile on her face.
"Thank you...!" she said all of a sudden.
"For what...?" I asked her.
"For recklessly putting your life in danger to feed me with your blood...!" she said.
"I am a man of science... observing your reactions while you feed on my blood satisfies my curiosity to know you further..." I said.
"Curiosity killed the cat...! Your blood is like a dangerously addictive drug to me. It replenishes me to the core like a divine elixir..." she said.
"It is an interesting fact to be discovered even though I still have no idea what makes my blood special to you," I said.
There was a short silence between us.
"Hand me over the second injection please..." I asked her.
She quickly took it from the first aid kit and gave it to me.
"These recovery meds are amazing..., unlike anything I have seen before," she said.
"The second injection will speed up the blood regeneration process even further... " I said.
"Let me help you with it..." Saya wanted to administer it to me.
I gave it back to her and she gently administered the dosage on to my right arm.
I closed my eyes leaning against the seat.
"How does it feel now...?" she asked me.
"I can feel it working already..." I said.
Saya leaned back against her seat with a sigh and she stayed quiet in her deep contemplation.
"You are awfully quiet..." I said softly and broke the silence between us.
"I was just thinking of what makes you so special...! The blood of my chevaliers gives me strength and power, that is a known fact but you aren't one of them" she said.
I opened my eyes and looked at her, she was looking at me.
"I think Alan will give us a good explanation for that question pretty soon...!" I said softly.
"What if...!" she paused and looked up with a slight smile on her face.
"What If your blood can keep me awake forever...!" she said.
"Then I will keep you awake as long as I am alive...!" I said followed by a smile.
We stayed quiet for a little while again.
"I don't want you to die Han...!" she said softly.
I giggled slowly.
"I don't want you to DIE, EVER!" she said.
"That is something ridiculous to wish for, Saya!" I said.
"I want you to stay with me forever..." she said again in a stern manner.
"And how am I going to do that...? I am just a mere mortal and you are a chiropteran queen... we are acquainting with one another in this brief fleeting moment of time..., soon I will be just like a speck of dust in your vast flowing sands of time..." I said softly.
"Your poetic touch of words makes me want to curl up and cry..." she said and paused.
"I will make you my chevalier...? So you can be with me forever...!" she said after raising her head with a slight burst excitement.
"I... I am not sure about all this living forever and immortality thing Saya...!" I said followed by a smile.
"I feel rather lonely even to think about forever...! We, humans, are never meant to live forever... immortality sounds boring and mundane to me. I would like to live my life thinking that my time is limited and someday I too will have to pass on" I continued.
"You won't be lonely... you're with me..." she said.
"I like the way you think and the way you impose your ideas regardless of others' thoughts like a little girl..." I said.
"I know you can attain immortality now with the aid of science... I just don't understand why you keep postponing your transformation..." she said followed by a sigh.
"Like I said... I am not that fond of living forever ... I still can't bring my mind to accept it..." I said.
"You are a strange man indeed Han...! I really wished we existed in a different time... when things were simpler so you and I could just sit by in a garden and talk all day long over a cup of tea..." Saya said followed by a smirk.
"I see no reason why we can't go on talking all day over a cup of tea in the garden...!" I said with a smile.
"It's not that simple my dear Han...! But you are right...! We can pretend to be who we want and not what we really are...!" Saya said and smiled back at me.
There was a long pause between us as my attention slowly dragged in by the lightning that graced the stormy sky. I looked at her after a moment and she was doing the same thing as I was in her own silence.
"It is beautiful..." she said while smiling at the sky and I can see her smiley reflection from the shutter glass.
"Yes, it is... I have always found the stormy nights to be relaxing and soothing since I was a child..." I said.
She looked at me.
"You're looking pale..." she said in a concerned manner.
"I am alright..., it will be better by tomorrow..." I said.
suddenly I noticed a bright approaching light in the distance.
To be continued...
