Chapter 7

Hello, Everyone! This chapter was supposed to be uploaded almost a week earlier, but my internet is slowly recovering from a huge snow storm that hit my area. I wasn't even able to use my laptop for a few days. So, sorry about the delay. Also, thank you to the people who have favorite/follow this story!

Bunny had no time to complain that he not only hated heights in general, but hated the sleigh. The only thing he cared about as he boarded the sleigh was that there were children asleep at this very moment, children who help him and the other guardians regain their strength, and if the sleigh was the fastest method of transport then so be it.

North was solemn as he ordered the elves away from the reindeers, and pushed them as fast as the track would allow them to go. When up in the air, North immediately pulled out a snow globe and whispered into in it Burgess as he pushed the reindeers to their limits, not knowing the worst was yet to come.

Coming into Burgess was like a flashback. It reminded them of the time when Pitch took over the area not so long ago. The sky was darker than usually, and though it was later in the evening, no one was outside. The clouds were emanating the glow they give when a storm is coming. The clap of thunder could be heard from miles in each direction. All the guardians knew that the little hope that Pitch wasn't here yet was gone.

It was Jack who first said it out loud that the first house they should check out is Jamie's (Though North was planning on going there anyway). Within minutes the group was at his house only to see several fearlings on his street. With a yell from Bunny, Bunny, Jack and Sandy jumped out of the sleigh and began to attack them. North landed the sleigh sleight ways away, and he and Tooth began taking out fearlings near them.

As the fearlings were dispatched. Jack yelled out Jaime's name, hoping that he would hear him.

"He's not home I am afraid," a voice said behind them.

The Guardians turned behind them to the voice to see none other than Pitch Black standing before them with his horse fearling beside him.

"Wat have you done to Jaime and the children," North said raising his blade at Pitch.

Pitch just smiled at the group before stroking the fearling beside him. "It took me a long time to get strength, after our last meet, but that time just allowed me to plot my revenge, and find a way to strike at that ones who helped you defeat me. The children, crucial to your belief. Hurt them, and I hurt… you."

Jack rolled his eyes, "But that doesn't explain what you did to them.
Pitch chuckled, "I am not going to tell you everything, I just put them simply to sleep, but unlike Sandy's dreams, they don't wake when the sun comes up, in fact they never will, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. With all this fear the town will have, I will grow strong."

With another chuckle Pitch disappeared leaving the group to their thoughts.

As soon as Pitch left Jack swiftly flew up to Jaime's window and into his room. Several minutes later, he reappeared and confirmed. Jaimie must have been taken to the hospital with his sister when he wouldn't wake up.

What were the guardian going to do?

Sorry guys I promise that the next chapter will a, be longer… also I need your opinion. Is this a bit dark? Cause this is the theme for the rest of the story including the end?/
