Seems more people are accepting of the way the Gokaigers do things than I thought. That's awesome. Well, might as well keep the hype train rolling, because GokaiOh's promised first appearance is fast approaching. Disclaimer: I don't own Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Metal Hero, or Fairy Tail.

Chapter 7: Unexpected Help

Erza and Joe finished tying up the Eisenwald mages. Gray had come earlier with news about the wind barrier Erigor had created. "By now Navi is halfway to Clover," Marvelous noted, "But that'll only warn the guild masters. We still need to find a way to stop Erigor from playing that flute. Not to mention that other wizard with the shadow magic is unaccounted for." "He's probably trying to go for Natsu and Gai," Gray surmised, "In which case, he won't be an issue for much longer."

"Maybe we can convince him to help us out," Doc noted, "If he could remove the seal on Lullaby, then it stands to reason he has the ability to negate magical barriers." Erza nodded. "If I remember correctly, his name was somewhere along the lines of Kage." Meanwhile, Byard was barely conscious and looking at the wall. "Karacka, you still there?" A magic circle appeared and Karacka stuck his head through it. "Sorry, but these guys are too strong for me. Titania alone is more than we can handle, but these new guys just took out all our Spotmen."

"There's no time for that," Byard replied, "They're taking about making Kage bring down the barrier. If they manage that, not even Erigor can last against all ten mages. You need to hurry and find Kage." Karacka frowned. "But you know I'm no good in a fight..." Byard nodded. "That's true, but you don't need to fight. I hate to say it, but there's only one way we can keep these Fairies trapped..."

Elsewhere in the station, Gai and Natsu found the wind barrier. Natsu tried throwing some fire through it, only for it to get completely extinguished. "We won't be getting through easily," Gai noted, "And trying to force our way will only damage us. Winds moving at that speed can cause a pebble to cut through a steel-plate. Even your dragonhide-like skin would get torn to shreds."

Natsu angrily smashed his fists together. "That coward Erigor. Trapping us here just so he can take out the old man! If we ever get outta here, I'll shish kebab him!" His nose then perked up. "But it looks like someone else decided to try sneaking up on us. One of the other Eisenwald mages must've followed us." Kageyama chuckled as he came out of the ground using his shadow magic. "I wasn't aware you have such sharp senses." He looked toward Gai. "I'm guessing you're magic is similar to the green one from earlier, but the pink-haired idiot is a mystery."

Natsu grinned. "Then I'll be sure to give you a crash course." Kageyama quickly conjured his magic. "Knuckle Shadow!" Several shadowy fists appeared, but Natsu easily blocked some of them while Gai was able to dispel the rest using his Gokai Spear. "You take us too lightly," Gai noted, "If you don't take your enemy seriously, you'll lose every time." He got out one of his keys. "Gokai Change!" "ToQger!" Transformed into ToQ #6, Gai got out his Yudo Breaker.

Growling, Kageyama called out, "Snake Shadow!" His magic circle conjured up a number of shadow serpents. Gai simply inserted the Drill Ressha into the Yudo Breaker while Natsu charged up his own magic. Leaping into the air as flames came from his arms, Natsu called out, "Fire Dragon Wing Attack!" Meanwhile, Gai fired out a spiral energy blast from his Yudo Breaker. The two attacks collided with the shadow serpents, obliterating all of them. "Impossible!," Kageyama called out, "How can a wizard from a legal guild have this much strength?"

"A wizard can't become strong unless he's willing to fight those stronger than him," Gai retorted, "The discipline that comes with following the rules can forge a true warrior." "And with that said," Natsu said, "I think it's time we end this fight." The two Fairies punched out Kageyama hard, the impact reverberating throughout the station and bringing the other Fairy Tail members running.

"Whoops," Natsu said, "Looks like we took out the wall as well." Gai shrugged. "It's just one wall. I've seen worse damage. And from the looks of it, this guy won't be fighting anymore." Kageyama weakly grimaced at the two as the others arrived. "Looks like you took care of business," Luka said, "Kage, I presume." Kageyama sighed. "My full name is Kageyama. Only my friends call my Kage." Marvelous picked him up by the scruff of his neck. "That doesn't matter. What matters is that you help us out by dispelling that wind barrier."

Before Kageyama could respond, a magic circle appeared behind them and a hand reached through. Joe spotted it first, and pulled Marvelous and Kageyama out of the way. That caused Karacka to stumble out of his phasing portal. "Karacka, you're here to help!," Kageyama said. "No...," Joe retorted, "From the way his hand was positioned, he was tasked with killing you." Karacka sobbed. "Sorry, Kage... But he's right... Byard put me up to it..."

Natsu balled up his fists. "And you just... Went with it!?" He angrily punched Karacka, knocking him out of the wall while also knocking the wall down. "What kind of guild sacrifices their own members!?," Natsu demanded, "They're supposed to be your friends, your family! If this is how a Dark Guild operates, then you deserve to be cut from the leagues!" Kageyama was so stunned, he couldn't move. He sighed. "Not that it matters... My magic is spent. Even if I wanted to help, my mana won't replenish in time for you to stop Erigor."

Meanwhile, Erigor grimaced at the sight of the Gokai Galleon, already beating him to Clover. "One of the flies must've escaped the web before it could be spun," he muttered, "I wasted so much of my magic creating the wind barrier it got ahead of me before I could even see it. I wasn't expecting them to have a flying ship. No matter, I can alter my plans a little. All I need to do is ensure those guild masters hear the Lullaby, and it won't matter if they see it coming." He cackled madly as he dashed off, his magic fully replenished.

Natsu was growing frustrated. "Nothing we try can get through that barrier. I must've been pounded myself against it a dozen times without anything budging." He thought for a minute. "Wait, Lucy, what about your Celestial Spirits? The Gokaigers were able to teleport with Virgo through the gate back at Everlue's mansion." "That's probably because they had those helmets on," Lucy explained, "Normal people can't pass through the gate so easily because the air in the spirit world is hard to breathe. Besides, a Celestial Wizard can only open a gate where they're standing."

Marvelous perked up. "That reminds me. After Everlue got arrested, his contract with Virgo was nullified, and Lucy still has the key." Lucy blinked. "Oh yeah! Virgo has the ability to tunnel through the ground! There's no way this wind barrier reaches past the surface!" "You sure we should be summoning that big gorilla maid?," Natsu asked. "It's either that or we let Makarov die," Joe said plainly. Natsu sighed. "Fine, go for it." Lucy nodded and held out the key. "I call upon thee, in the world of the Celestial Spirits! I beckon you to my side at once! Pass through the gate! Open! Gate of the Maiden! Virgo!"

The familiar form of a woman dressed as a maid emerged from the ground, but instead of the giant gorilla of a woman she was before, she appeared as a more slender and curvaceous figure. She still had the familiar pink hair, though now in a bob cut, and her eyes were now visible as a pale blue. "You summoned me, Mistress?," she said in a surprisingly pleasant voice. Lucy, Happy, Natsu, and the Gokaigers were stunned. "She isn't the gorilla you said she was," Gray noted. "It does look like she lost weight," Natsu said, looking Virgo over appreciatively.

"It's more than that!," Lucy called out, "She's like a totally different person!" "I'm a very loyal spirit that will do anything to please her wizard," Virgo explained, "That includes altering my appearance to conform with my master's idea of beauty." "Everlue did have weird tastes in women," Lucy noted, "Anyway, we'll have time for the contract later, but right now our guild master is in grave danger and we need to get through this wind barrier. Can you tunnel our way out?"

"Certainly, Mistress," Virgo replied. Lucy sighed. "Can you not call me 'Mistress'?" "Would you prefer I call you 'Queen'?," Virgo asked, noting Lucy's whip. "No," Lucy said flatly. Virgo nodded. "Then how about 'Princess'?" Lucy smiled. "Now that I can get used to." Virgo nodded. "Now that we have that settled..." A magic circle appeared beneath her, and she quickly tunneled through the ground. Natsu smiled, and grabbed Kageyama. The shadow mage looked confused. "You won't be able to use me for a hostage, you know."

"Hostage?," Natsu said, looking confused himself, "I was just thinking we need to get you to a hospital. Me and Gai roughed you up pretty bad." Kageyama still looked confused as the group leapt through the tunnel to the other side of the barrier. The wind outside was really rough. "Princess," Virgo said, pulling down Lucy's skirt, "I'll keep your panties from showing." As she said this, her own panties were in full view, causing Gray to go red in the face.

"Happy," Natsu said. "Aye," Happy said as he sprouted his wings and picked Natsu up. They then flew off after Erigor. "Don't leave me behind," Marvelous snarked, getting out a new key. "Gokai Change!" "Zyuohger!" "Instinct Awakened!" Transformed into Zyuoh Eagle, Marvelous took off after Natsu. Erza then rushed over to a large box she had earlier asked Marvelous to drop off. "Luckily, I still have enough magic to use this," she said, as she opened the box to reveal a Magic Vehicle. Plugging herself in, she turned to the others. "We'll have to ride along the tracks. Everyone get on."

Erigor was getting closer to Clover, growing more confidant with each passing yard. But his eyes widened with shock when he heard someone call out, "Erigor!" He turned back to see Natsu and Happy going at full speed, Marvelous right behind them. The two Fairies kicked Erigor right in the face, knocking him to the ground. The two of them landed, Marvelous returning to his Gokaiger form, as Happy flopped into Natsu's arms. "Get some rest, buddy. We'll finish Erigor."

As the Magic Vehicle raced along, Kageyama was trying to figure things out. "Why bother helping me at all? We're enemies." "Your point?," Luka asked, "You're still a human being, and you made a mistake. I can understand thinking how you've been oppressed by the Magic Council, but from what I've learned of them so far, their rules are in place for a reason. And Fiore is actually thriving because of them, so I can't find any fault with what they're doing. And this is coming from a pirate, so think about that."

"She's got a point," Gray said, "There's more to this world than life and death. You and your Eisenwald pals need to start looking to the positive. From what I've seen, Erigor's the only rotten one in your bunch. If you'd actually thrown him out, I bet your guild would still be official." Kageyama sighed. "If only it were that easy... But he's called the Reaper for a reason. But even if we weren't intimidated by him, he was the one who kept us together when our guild master tried defying the Magic Council and got imprisoned for it."

"I'm a little surprised you were able to break through my wind barrier," Erigor noted. Marvelous smirked. "More like tunneled beneath it." Erigor frowned. "You couldn't possibly have any magic capable of that." "That's where you're wrong," Natsu said, "We have a Celestial Wizard on our side who recently made a contract with Virgo." Erigor scoffed. "No matter. You kids should just get out of my way, unless you want to get hurt." To prove his point, he conjured a magic circle that summoned a massive gust of wind.

Undeterred, Natsu leapt into the air with his fire powers while Marvelous changed his form. "Gokai Change!" "Jetman!" Flying through the air as Red Hawk, he joined Natsu in striking Erigor using his Wing Gauntlet. "Wing Punch!" Barely blocking the attacks with his scythe, Erigor floated up into the air with his magic. 'Looks like I underestimated them. I'll need to actually try if I want to get past them.' He summoned his magic again. "Storm Bringer!"

The summoned tornado sent Natsu flying, but Marvelous was able to grab him and pull him out. Regardless, the winds sent the two of them near the ravine, but then Natsu remembered how Macao tried teaching him how to use fire magic in a way that didn't just burn things. Focusing, Natsu managed to summon a giant hand made of fire that helped him pull himself and Marvelous back to the train tracks, much to Erigor's shock. "Looks like I figured it out, Macao," Natsu said, "Now I can definitely beat this bastard."

He looked up at Erigor. "You must be pretty cold up there being half-naked!," he quipped, "Let me warm you up a bit!" "Ridiculous," Erigor retorted, "Fire magic can't beat wind magic." "We'll see about that," Marvelous said, "Gokai Change!" "Hurricaneger!" Transformed into HurricaneRed, Marvelous got out a large hairdryer-like device with a falcon motif. Natsu charged up his magic as Marvelous aimed at Erigor. "Fire Dragon's Roar!" "Dry Gun!" Erigor conjured his own magic. "Storm Wall!" Despite his efforts, Natsu's attacks singed his hand while Marvelous actually struck his shoulder, causing him to nearly drop his scythe.

"But how?," Erigor asked, completely shocked. "Fire may be vulnerable to wind," Marvelous explained, "But my Dry Gun is also wind-based, and works by firing a superheated burst." Erigor growled. "I'll need stronger winds, then. Storm Mail!" He conjured a whirlwind to surround himself. "A stronger wind can always break a lesser one." "I have more than wind at my side," Marvelous quipped, changing keys. "Gokai Change!" "Gingaman!" Changed into GingaRed, Marvelous turned to Natsu. "Need a fill-up?" Natsu nodded, as Marvelous charged up. "Blazing Mane!" Natsu swallowed the surge of flames that came forth to recharge Natsu. "That hit the spot! Let's toast this Reaper!"

To be continued...
