"KNOCK OUT! KNOCK OUT! KNOCK OUT! KNOCK OUT!" The arena full of demigods screamed wildly as Hazel stood above the defeated legionnaire of the third legion. Her adrenaline was pumping as she held her sword tightly, her breathing was ragged, her hair was wild, sweat dripped down her forehead, a smirk decorated her lips, and her opponent whimpered in pain as he clutched his stab wound. The scent and sight of blood brought out the daughter of Pluto's roman side as a lack of empathy swallowed her once nurturing personality.
She lifted her sword in the air and used the flat of her blade to viciously knock out her opponent. Screams of excitement filled the air and she laughed triumphantly as they boy ceased his whimpering and fell unconscious.
Mercy was for the weak. Every Roman knew that. And maybe that was why Percy had a hard time looking at his girlfriend in that very moment. In the beginning Hazel hadn't been in a situation where she had the choice to knock out her opponent. She had fought with ferocity and had always ended up knocking her opponent unconscious. But now she had the choice to either spare or kill as the Romans liked to say. But for the safety of their campers they allowed maiming...maiming was tolerant as long as the person lived.
And as he watched Hazel wipe the blood off her blade he felt anger fuel him. He absolutely loathed Camp Jupiter. They were shaping Hazel into something she wasn't, they were making her cold and heartless and he hated that.
Percy continued to watch Hazel fight but she couldn't defeat the second legionnaire. Since it was her initiation she wouldn't be knocked out seeing as she needed to chose the legion that accepted her. She, obviously picked the third legion, and the arena erupted into cheers as well as her legion as she joined them. The third legion, though not the best, was a very good legion to be in.
"Percy, remember what we talked about." Reyna whispered as she made sure his armor was on properly. Percy's weapon was very peculiar. Imperial gold knuckles, much like brass knuckles but they were made up imperial gold, they were large and had dull spikes on the end. Percy was very old school, preferring to fight with his fists before using any weapon, his father had taught him how to box and Reyna had helped him increase his skill.
Percy was faster than a child of Mercury. Using the earth to his advantage he was swift and nearly impossible to catch. On his arms he had metal armor protecting him and he wore nothing else but normal clothes. He was like a bullet and no one else but him and Reyna knew that. This was the perfect element of surprise of the boy against the legionnaires.
Percy nodded at Reyna,"Be quick, strike fast, no mercy." He growled at the last part of that sentence. He didn't plan to be showing no mercy anytime soon. It wasn't his style and it was cruel and unnecessary.
Reyna and Percy walked out to the middle of the arena,"Percy, son of Gaea will not be starting against legion five." Reyna announced and the arena erupted into yells of annoyance and anger only to shut up to listen to the praetor again,"Instead he will be starting at legion three." Laughter ensued, no one believed that could take out a legionnaire at level three, especially with his weapon of choice and little armor.
The happy go lucky Percy merely smiled. He'd show them! He would make Reyna, Hazel, and Thea proud. Maybe then the campers wouldn't bully him so much. Reyna walked away and out came the legionnaire of legion three. Armed with a bow the blonde haired boy smirked at Percy.
"I'll go easy on you. It's not the first time I've gone against someone so idiotic before." He sneered and Percy merely laughed before bouncing on his toes slightly. He still didn't have the best control over the earth but he had good enough control to be an excellent fighter. Reyna had spent months teaching him every martial art form she knew and it had surely paid off.
"BEGIN!" Reyna yelled and a bell went off. The arena erupted into cheering for the son of Apollo as he notched his first arrow.
Percy gave him a genuine smile,"Good luck." He said politely and the boy laughed before releasing the arrow aimed at Percy's chest.
"I won't need it." He growled and Percy leaped into action. He easily avoided the arrow and squared up. His shoulders hunched and his fists drawn close to his chest as he bounced on his toes. He began to get a feel for his opponents strategy. The son of Apollo, Christian, was light on his feet, a quick shooter, and an okay hand to hand fighter from what Percy knew.
More arrows were shot at the boy and Percy charged. He used the earth to his advantage, making himself fly forwards, it was as if he was iceskating on the earth and people were awe of his speed. Dodging arrow after arrow Percy smirked as his fist connected to the boy's face, he didn't miss a beat as he flew past him, a hit and run. Christian flew backwards and slammed into the ground. His jaw was bleeding and he let out an angered yell as he rolled to his feet.
He fired four arrows at a time and Percy laughed as he created an earth wall to shield him. The arrows bounced off harmlessly and the wall disappeared. As did Percy. Everyone looked around in confusion and Christian tensed.
All of a sudden the earth opened up and Percy appeared right in front of the son of Apollo,"I wanted a fair fight." Percy shrugged before ducking a punch from Christian. Percy played defense as the boy attempted to stab him in the abdomen with an arrow.
Percy curved his body slightly so the arrow just missed him and brought his foot up in a roundhouse kick that hit Christian in the face making him fall flat on his back. His father had also taught him kickboxing. Percy was a skilled fighter thanks to his dad. But when he was beat up it was always five to one and he couldn't have defended himself with that ratio.
Percy smiled mischievously,"You're doing great. Just take your time. No pressure." He assured the boy and Christian let out a scream as he tried to sweep Percy off his feet. Percy jumped with ease and backed away as he let the boy scramble to his feet. The demigods were entranced with Percy's swiftness and fighting style. His confidence and grin angered Christian even more as he suddenly tackled Percy to the ground.
Now, Percy's father Jeb had taught Percy how to fight, not just boxing but wrestling as well. Percy was used to being tackled by the black kids who didn't like him. But back then he hadn't put up much of a fight. Christian managed to land one punch before Percy kicked the boy off. Christian fell on his back and tried to get up only to have Percy grab his shirt and crank his arm back.
"Yield." Percy snarled and Christian merely glared at him. Percy shrugged before punching the boy in the stomach as hard as possible. He hit him once, twice, five times before throwing the boy onto the earth once again. Not once did Percy hit him in the face at that time. Christian groaned at the pain in his stomach and then vomited making everyone laugh. Percy relaxed and picked up Christian's bow before snapping it in half. Christian still had an arrow in his hand and was surprised when Percy had appeared once again and knocked him off his feet.
"Do you yield now?" Percy asked and the boy nodded feebly though he still grasped his arrow tightly.
"KNOCK OUT! KNOCK OUT! KNOCK OUT!" The crowd roared but Percy ignored them entirely and held out his hand to the boy.
"Come on now, get up, you had a good fight today." The son of Gaea said kindly much to Christian's shock. He had insulted the boy before they began their fight and saw him as a minor threat. But Percy was still nice to him? He dropped his arrow and grabbed Percy's hand. His cheek throbbed from the boy's punch and blood pooled in his mouth. His stomach still hurt like crazy but he allowed his opponent to help him up.
"Thank you." He said gratefully despite the boos and the hisses the two received.
Percy smiled and gripped his shoulder comfortingly,"No, thank you for the fight." His smile turned into a smirk,"Muhammed Ali would have been proud of your performance. You transitioned very quickly from bow to fists. So for that I applaud you." Muhammed Ali? Though the son of Apollo was touched by the compliment he didn't understand why Percy had referenced him. "Though you're not the best with your fists," Percy admitted truthfully,"you made me work for that win. Good job."
Christian chuckled,"I guess I pegged you wrong. You don't suck...and you certainly know what you're doing. Best of luck to your next opponent." He walked out of the arena and Percy stood there soaking in the boos for his mercy. But he didn't care. He had won.
Reyna spoke up again,"Percy advances to the next legion." She winked at the boy,"Show them what I taught you." She was actually a bit disappointed by Percy's mercy. But his fighting was brilliant so she couldn't complain.
In walked a girl from the second legion. She was...utterly gorgeous and Percy blushed when she smirked at him. Her kaleidoscope eyes glinted with excitement as she eyed the boy and her dagger became unsheathed as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Impressive." She complemented before her smirk broadened,"But Christian isn't used to fighting close and personal. Let's see how you hold up against me, son of Gaea." The Cherokee decent laughed lightly and Percy suddenly felt very uncomfortable. Daughter of Venus for sure.
"Erm...Miss, my name is Percy. Not son of Gaea." He said politely in his slight southern drawl as he nodded at her respectfully.
The bell rang and the girl smiled at him,"My name is Piper." She watched him as he approached her slowly. She already knew that she would have a very strong affect on the boy.
Percy squared up once again before wincing,"Call me old fashioned, but I really don't want to hit a girl." He didn't say it in a mocking manner, he was absolutely serious. In the era he came from, striking a woman labeled a man as a brute and it wasn't tolerated. It was rude because women were seen as delicate ladies. And Percy knew women, like men, were strong and could be dangerous. But he still didn't wish to harm a girl for no reason other than a stupid initiation.
Piper's eyes flashed with irritation as they turned a bright red,"Oh? Are women not good enough to be a threat? Are we to delicate?" She hissed as she got closer to him.
Percy shook his head,"No Ma'm, that's not what I'm saying at all, I just don't feel right doing it. Ya'll are nice and sweet. I know you can be deadly and I respect you, I just don't feel right doing that is all." He answered truthfully and Piper nodded slowly as she calmed slightly. When Percy fought with Reyna it was a different story, he did that to win and so that he could get better, she had assured him multiple times that she'd be fine and he believed her. Though, he still didn't want to harm Reyna, he knew she could kick his butt in a fair fight without powers...maybe.
"Okay...I guess I can respect that. But if you don't like hitting women...then you might as well surrender now." She smirked and before his very eyes her features shifted. Instead of looking like the Cherokee girl she looked like...Hazel. Bright, gold eyes met his green ones, brown curly hair replaced her once braided hair, and her dark skin became darker as she continued smirking at him.
His jaw dropped,"H-Hazel? Piper...cut it out!" He snapped angrily as she approached him slowly, like a cat going in for the kill, he backed away uncertainly and blinked rapidly. He didn't know daughter's of Venus could do that.
Piper seemed to be able to read his mind,"Only I can do this aside from my mother. A very useful skill, don't you think?" She asked smugly as she suddenly rushed towards him. His eyes widened as he dodged her blade and rolled away from her. What was he going to do! He couldn't just hit Hazel. He hesitated and that was long enough for Piper to slam the butt of her blade down on his head. He crumpled and yelped when she poised to stab his fallen form. He sunk into the earth quickly and reappeared behind the girl.
If she wanted to use her power than two could play at that game. He gave the daughter of Venus a hard punch between her shoulder blades making her gasp out in pain. Dear gods, his eyes widened, she even sounded like Hazel. She whirled around and with a quick flick of her wrist she sliced Percy's cheek. He let out a growl as blood flowed down his face and he blocked the incoming knife with his armored covered arms. He pushed back against her forcefully making her take a step back before kicking his foot out.
She smirked and caught it easily before shoving him to the ground. He didn't even blink before the Hazel look alike straddled him.
A teasing smile on her lips as she bent down close to his ear,"Percy you might as well give up now. You can't hurt me. Not while I'm Hazel." He froze and stiffened at her closeness, she's not Hazel, he reminded himself but it was hard to get that mindset. Especially when, in the forest on the way to Camp Jupiter, he had seen visions of Hazel being slaughtered. It made him hard to differentiate what was real and what wasn't.
Without wasting another moment Piper brought her knife down and stabbed Percy in the shoulder. A scream pierced the air followed by cheers of approval. Piper ripped the blade out and smiled triumphantly at his blood. Percy squeezed his eyes shut, it felt like he was on fire, the stab wound felt terrible and he could feel the earth attempt to heal him.
But he wouldn't allow that. He wanted a fair fight. He allowed his eyes to remain shut as he cranked his good arm back and socked Piper straight in the chest. She yelped as she flew off him and rammed into the ground. Percy scrambled to his feet, he could fight Piper if he couldn't see her, ah the genius of it all.
Keeping his eyes shut he focused on the earth. He could feel the vibrations of Piper rolling to her feet. It was like a second sense. Keeping his eyes shut he felt her sprint towards him, with a heavy step she launched herself at him, he was more than ready. Knowing full well that her knife was aiming directly at his chest. He twisted away and as he did so he landed a blow on her back once again making her snarl in anger.
Percy went on offensive and he swung with full force only to have his fist connect with her blade. His injured arm was basically useless so he used his leg and hit Piper on the back of her knee making her buckle. At that same moment he used his good arm and with the side of his hand he chopped her neck with full force making her gag and crumple.
Percy opened his eyes to see Piper wobble to her feet. She no longer looked like Hazel but like...Thea.
He let out an outraged yell,"Stop it!" He yelled at the Thea look alike. In that moment he loathed Piper for using the people he cared about against him. Blood trickled down her chest from where he had punched her. And innocent green eyes looked up at him.
"Stop what?" She asked and Percy let out a yell of rage as he grabbed her by her shirt.
"Leave Thea out of this-" He was silenced when the butt of her blade slammed into his temple. He fell to the ground. His head pounded painfully and he had a splitting headache as he groggily sat up. Piper was midair with her knife raised and Percy's eyes widened as he rolled away at the last second. Piper impaled the earth and her knife got stuck.
Percy scrambled to his feet,"GO PERCY!" A little voice yelled and Percy looked up to see Thea cheering him on,"BEAT HER UP!" The mixed girl yelled and Percy felt a sense of relief overcome him as he waved at her. He'd win this for Thea. His little girl was okay and Piper would pay for using her against him. Percy felt anger overcome him as he tackled Piper to the ground. Her knife remained trapped in the earth and she was weaponless.
He straddled her and slipped off his imperial gold knuckles. With his good arm he punched her repeatedly with bare knuckles. His bad arm was limp at his side as he landed another heavy blow on Piper's stunned face. He had to win and he wasn't going to let Piper bully him into losing. And that's why his anger made him lash out.
"Yield!" He roared as he had his fist poised to strike again. The girl was now Piper again and not Thea. Blood trickled down her nose, chest, and mouth. She let out a soft laugh making Percy slightly entranced.
"Fine. I yield." She breathed as her eyes turned back to a bright blue,"Good job." She didn't seem angered by the blood or Percy's punches. She acted like Percy hadn't hit her excessively.
"MAIM! MAIM! MAIM!" The crowd began yelling but Percy completely ignored them and helped Piper to her feet. Feeling bad about harming her so much he ripped off a piece of his shirt. Despite the beating she took she looked at the nervous boy in amusement. Her beauty usually unnerved people but Percy wasn't bothered by it like other boys would have been. Instead, he worried about her well being, he worried that he had been too harsh when fighting her.
He was unlike any Roman she had ever met. Instead of knocking her out or maiming her he spared her more pain by helping her up. He fussed over her and she found it endearing that the teen was so worried about her. He was also very skilled. You'd have to be ignorant to believe otherwise.
"Erm...I'm really sorry Piper! I didn't mean to hit you like I did. You're a r-really good fighter by the way. That was...awesome." He stammered as he gently put his cloth to her face and tried to help her clean up the blood. She let out another laugh and gently grabbed Percy's hand. She held it for a moment before letting it drape to his side.
"A good fighter and a sweetheart. Why, Percy if you weren't taken I'd have you buy me dinner." She winked at him,"That was a good fight, usually people don't take my morphing very well like you did, I'm proud to lose to you if anyone." She gave him a kiss on the cheek making his ears turn a bright red,"I know you're not a Chris Brown."
"Chris who?" He asked dubiously and she smiled softly at him.
"Nothing, cutie. Win this next round. And if you do consider joining the second legion. We're not the best but we're pretty great." She winked at him one more time before leaving the arena. Percy watched her walk away slightly dazed. Even injured Piper was extremely beautiful. Percy allowed the earth to heal his wounds and he basked in the booing of the demigods.
Good. Let them boo at his sense of humanity.
Reyna stepped forward,"And our last fight begins." She announced and a familiar blonde haired boy stepped into the center of the arena. Jason Grace who was unbelievably worried about Percy's skill and power.
Percy put on his imperial gold knuckles and cracked a grin at Jason before holding out his hand,"Good luck buddy." Jason smiled and shook his hand firmly.
"To you as well." You'll need it, Jason thought silently. What was he to be worried about? Percy couldn't beat him.
Percy cracked his neck and shoulders while Jason brought his spear up in a defensive position. The bell rang and neither boy moved for a moment. There was complete silence and to Jason's disbelief Percy relaxed and stretched.
"Man this has been a long day. Are you gonna shoot me with lighting or something?" He asked curiously,"Would that kill me? Would it maim me?" He pondered before shrugging,"I guess we'll find out...if you can hit me." Percy grinned mischievously at Jason who was angered by Percy's jab. Of course he could hit this pathetic son of Gaea.
Jason shot lighting at Percy who vanished into the earth,"MISSED ME!" Percy yelled as he appeared behind Jason who whirled around and punched air. He felt anger consume him as he looked around wildly.
Percy reappeared a few feet away from him,"Missed me again, Jacy poo!" Percy teased and Jason rushed towards the boy and attempted to stab him with his spear. Percy easily sidestepped the spear and gave Jason a hard punch to his gut. Jason grunted before sweeping his spear at Percy's legs. Percy leaped over the spear and Jason tried to stab Percy again right as he landed.
Percy grinned as the earth jumped upwards to meet is feet. Percy flew into the air and swan dived into the earth, he was again swallowed, and Jason let out a yell in anger as he leaped into the air. The wind currents carried him above the arena slightly as he searched for the son of Gaea. Suddenly a large column of earth appeared beside Jason.
"Wow you can fly! You're like...awesome!" Percy said in excitement.
Jason let out a snarl,"No more games!" The arena was laughing at Percy's cheekiness and without hesitation Jason tackled the son of Gaea. Percy was stunned by his sudden attack and before he could move electricity coursed through his veins.
And the electricity was overwhelming. Percy screamed in anguish as he trembled from the electricity. Jason smirked as he dove to the earth with Percy in his hands. He slammed the boy into the ground as hard as he could making a small cloud of dust cover the two. Everyone gasped and silence took over the crowd again.
Jason looked down to see that Percy was no longer underneath him. He looked around in confusion only to be hit with a giant rock. He fell to the ground and groaned before looking up to see a livid Percy.
"I didn't appreciate that." The boy snarled and his eyes glowed a pure green color. Jason was on his feet in an instant and surprised by Percy's sudden change in attitude. Something was wrong with the boy.
Percy slammed his foot into the ground and several chunks of earth rose to the air. They spun around Percy and Jason's eyes widened as rock after rock was flung at him. He struck a couple with lighting and dodged the others. Percy was powerful no doubt about that. He once again tried to shoot Percy with lighting.
The boy merely put his hand up, his hand was incased in rock, and the lighting hit it harmlessly and didn't affect Percy whatsoever. Jason gritted his teeth before slowly approaching the boy. Percy had a taunting smirk on his lips but his eyes still glowed a bright green. Immense power emanated from him as the earth at his feet cracked with each step he took.
The sky darkened over the arena and Jason let out a snarl as he shot more lighting at Percy who put up an earth barrier between him and the boy. Lighting hit the wall and Percy continued to walk towards the boy.
With a yell Jason rushed towards him with his spear in hand. The son of Jupiter tried to impale the son of Gaea. But Percy dodged it and grabbed the spear before yanking it from Jason's grasp. Percy threw the spear away and began to attack the blonde vigorously. He threw quick punches and kicks and Jason had a hard time keeping up. He wasn't as great with hand to hand and he wished he had taken it upon himself to have learned the skill.
Percy blocked Jason's punch and shoved him backwards. With a smirk Percy took off his imperial gold knuckles. Percy had a weird, honor thing, he didn't like having a large advantage on his opponent, he liked fair fights. And Jason had no idea as to why.
But the reason Percy stressed the importance of fairness was because he had been treated unfairly his entire life. Mistreated for falling for a black woman, getting jumped by five boys or more, being run out of colored only restaurants when he was out with Hazel, and kicked out of white's only restaurants because they knew he was with a colored woman. All his life he had been treated unfairly, almost as badly as Hazel, and Percy didn't want to inflict that on anyone else. He knew he was powerful but he didn't want to use everything he had against those who were obviously weaker than him. Piper was different. She tried to use those he loved against him and he absolutely hated that. It wasn't fair. And that's when he ticked.
Percy wanted to be fair to others when life wouldn't be.
Jason was nervous that he'd lose to the powerful demigod. As much as he'd hate to admit it, Percy was more powerful than him, and he absolutely couldn't stand it. It wasn't fair! Jason had been trained longer, had a powerful father, had immense power himself. And here came Percy, ready to take that all away from him, and he couldn't stand it. Percy would steal his limelight if he won this fight and he couldn't let that happen.
An idea came to mind and Jason smirked deviously as he squared up to Percy.
Percy threw a sharp right hook at Jason but the boy ducked and hit the boy with a hard uppercut. Percy recoiled but he had taken worse damage in his lifetime from his bullies. Blood pooled in his mouth but he ignored it. His mouth hurt slightly but he ignored the pain. He squared his shoulders and faked a left hook making Jason duck again. Expecting this move, Percy grabbed Jason's face and brought it down on his knee, Jason crumbled to the ground.
Percy wiped the blood from his lips and he looked at Jason. The blonde withered as he held his face in his hands. Percy knew instantly that he had broken Jason's nose and he bit his lip guiltily.
"I yield." Jason grumbled and Percy's eyes widened.
"Really?"
"Yes." Jason said as Percy lowered his hand and Jason grabbed it.
"Good match-" Electricity shot through his entire body and he felt a searing hot pain shoot through his hand. He let out a scream as he fell to his knees beside Jason and the blonde paused as he looked at the wounded son of Gaea.
Percy was breathing heavily as stared at Jason with betrayal evident in his green eyes,"Y-You lied." He stammered as he shook violently. He felt his anger grow,"I-I trusted you." He choked out as he felt the earth beneath him tremble.
Jason didn't seem to notice,"You spared me. I'm sorry. But you showed mercy and this is what happens when you try to be fair." Jason grabbed Percy's throat and shot more electricity through the boy's neck. Percy's screams of pain filled the entire arena.
But no one cheered. Everyone stared at the two in surprise. Not knowing how to react to Jason's rather barbaric methods of winning. Percy could feel himself losing consciousness before the electricity ceased. Percy fell to the ground next to Jason.
The blonde had been hit with a large rock from Percy's earth control and was now unconscious. Percy's body and powers had lashed out in self defense and Jason hadn't even seen the boulder sailing his way until it cracked him on the skull.
Percy jolted wildly as he let out another scream from the electricity. The world became dark and the last thing he saw was Hazel running towards him.
-Line Break-
"I can't believe him!" Hazel yelled angrily as she paced around the infirmary room,"Jason is...I can't...ugh!" She couldn't verbally explain her anger, especially since she was talking to herself. She couldn't remember the last time she had been so angry. The camp had treated her, Percy, and Thea like they were outsiders. They were treated them like they were garbage. And when Percy fell unconscious everyone in the crowd had roared in approval. It was maddening being at Camp Jupiter.
Percy mumbled something and Hazel froze before sitting by his bedside. She grabbed his hand and gently squeezed. Worry overwhelmed her, despite the fact that the children of Apollo promised he'd be fine, she had been in there for hours.
Seeing him so quiet made her sad. His familiar smile was replaced with a stoic expression, there was no mirth, no jokes, nothing. He just laid there, still as a statue, and it hurt to see him in such a condition. Earth couldn't heal lighting. So she had to just watch him lay there in silence. Nothing covered him but a blanket and he looked perfectly normal. His body just hadn't pumped out all the electricity yet.
Piper, Christian, Reyna, and Thea had come by to visit the boy. Hazel had told them all he was fine, and shooed them away, promising she'd watch after him. Percy and her didn't have many friends. And she was angered by the fact that Jason didn't appear to apologize for his cheating.
Hazel was frustrated and exhausted. It had been three hours and all attempts to get her out of the infirmary had failed. Hazel sighed tiredly as she curled up next to her boyfriend.
She interlaced their fingers and sighed heavily,"I'm proud of you...I'm proud that you showed mercy. Even when they didn't deserve it. I wish I was strong enough to do that." She regretted her hasty decisions to harm demigods so harshly when she didn't need to. She wasn't strong enough, she gave into peer pressure, and it had brought her a small amount of satisfaction. The rush of the loud crowd, the blood, the weapons slamming into each other. It gave her adrenaline and she loved the feeling. But afterwards she felt bad for causing so much harm on those she fought.
"You're stronger than you give yourself credit for." A voice murmured and she jumped before laughing lightly.
"You're awake...how do you feel?" She asked as she looked at him worriedly.
He smiled tiredly at her,"Shockingly," He joked,"I feel fine." He waggled his eyebrows making Hazel laugh in relief.
"Well that's good...you fought amazingly!" She enthused, not wanting to bring up Jason's deceit,"You moved so quick! And your earth powers-"
"Make me exhausted." Percy muttered before sitting up and kissing Hazel's cheek,"Let's get out of here." He got out of the bed taking Hazel's hand in the process.
She frowned as she allowed him to drag her out of the infirmary,"Reyna said to meet her in-"
Percy rolled his eyes,"I'm tired of talking about fighting. Let's go grab Thea and go play!" He said excitedly despite the thoughts plaguing his mind of Jason's betrayal and the pain of the electricity.
He knew he disappointed the Romans. He knew that he wasn't what they expected or wanted him to be. He'd never be merciless like Jason, he'd never cower away from saving someone, he'd never think slaughtering the weak would be a normal way of the life. But that's just who he was. He would never regret showing compassion, even to Jason who betrayed him, he wanted to be as fair as he could.
Man this was long. I'm tired. They'll be put on a quest next chapter.
poptart24: Well written chapter, but idk Percy x hazel just kinda irks me the wrong way. I can't really explain but it's the same with Percy x reyna. Still a great story and I will just ignore the Pazel(is that a thing?) and focus on the rest of the story. Anyways I had an idea for a power of Percy's. I was thinking he could "surf" the ground and slide around really fast, like 20-60 mph depending on how much effort he put into it.
Used your idea! I also thought about Sandman a lot while writing this chapter. I think Prazel is cute because they'd have the cutest mixed babies. Omg they'd be so cute!
Welp review and all that. Hope this was a decent chapter. Hopefully I edited better. But I know I probably missed some stuff. I'll go clean it up. Thanks guys, HAPPY SUMMER!
