Chapter 7, Emma POV

I looked after Ariel as she swam away, then back at Hook. I could see he had a hard time leaving her in danger. Gold on the other hand seemed relieved. After waiting for a little while we swam towards the entrance of the caves. Ariel was right, Ursula was nowhere to be seen. We were close to my family, I could feel it. Then we suddenly arrived on land, I listened closely and heard people breathing farder into the cave. We got out the water and we all stayed very silent as we walked towards the sound as soft as possible. We went around the corner and there day were, Henry and Regina. They were both chained up to a wall. "Mom?" Henry asked as I rushed to him. I took a knife out of my pocket and cut his chains of him. Almost immediately I found myself in Henry's hug. I pet his head gently and held him tightly. "You are safe now" I whispered to him. I looked over Henry's head to Regina. "No!" I screamed as I saw her lifeless body lying against the wall. Her black hair covert her beautiful face. I let go of Henry and rushed to Regina. I kneeled down besides her and brushed the hair out of her face. I felt a slow breath against the back of my hand, Regina was still alive. "I don't know what they did to her" Henry said. "They took her away, I heard her screaming and then they brought her back like this. "Henry go to Hook and Gold, they will take you to a safe place" I said. Henry nodded and walked towards the two man. "We will take care of him, Emma." Hook said as he held onto Henry. Hook gave Henry one of the magical rings and handed me the other one. "For Regina" he said. I put the ring in my pocket and I watched Hook, Gold and Henry walk away. I knew they were going to be safe. I looked back down at Regina and cut her chains off. I sat down on the floor and held her unconscious body in my arms. I saw bruises on her arms, this wasn't done by magic. They had done something to her to make her lose consciousness. "Don't worry, Regina" I whispered to the body in my arms. "They won't hurt you, I won't let them." I brushed the hair out of her face, she looked peaceful. She looked beautiful. My hair was still wet from swimming and cold drops of water ran down my back, making me shiver. I moved one arm up, still holding Regina in the other, and tied my hair up in a messy ponytail. Regina woke up by my movement and slowly opened her eyes. She looked at me "Emma?" she asked with an broken voice.

"Yes, I'm here. No one is going to hurt you."

Regina looked around and I saw her eyes widen as she jumped up. "Where is Henry?!"she asked, I heard panic in her voice.

"Calm down, Henry is safe. I stayed behind to take care of you. Now come back here, you need to rest."

"Yes.. Yes I do.." she sat down next to me again and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"Now go to sleep" I told her.

"But, Pan. He is going to come back for me!"

"I won't let anyone hurt you ever again, Regina."

I felt Regina calming down as she slowly fell back asleep. I stayed awake and watched her. Admiring her beauty. Then I heard footsteps coming closer, Pan. I gently lay Regina down besides me and got up. I took the gun out of my pocket and pointed it at the direction the footsteps came from. "I'll protect you, Regina" I whispered to the sleeping woman.
