Emma groaned the moment she saw Regina come out of the bathroom in her black t-shirt and panties. "Don't tell me we're going to stop?"

Regina sighed, closing the door behind her. "I'm sorry, Em, but I don't think I can get turned on tonight after that..."

Emma looked away from the raven and got off of the bed grumbling under her breath, opening up her drawers to get her own pajamas. "Fine, whatever."

"Aw, dear," Regina walked around their queen bed and wrapped her arms around her lover's waist from behind her, digging her face into blond locks. Emma relaxed against the embrace with a small smile. "I love you."

Emma's eyes widened and then watered slightly as she sniffed and turned herself around to face Regina and hug the raven close to her.

Regina smiled gently, closing her eyes and enjoying the intimate form of affection.

She has really missed Emma, more than she'd ever be willing to admit.

Chapter 7: Saturday Training Pt.1

'Run! Run! Run!'

That's all he could think as he speeded across the forest, working his legs as fast he could go. The wind whipped past his ears, his unruly blond hair covering his eyes as he swiftly skidded across the ground, narrowly avoiding the arrows thrown at his direction as they collided to the tree.

"Where is he?"

"We need him alive, do you all got that?"

"I sense him this way!"

He was panting already, beyond exhausted by having been running for days. He didn't even have enough strength to transform and that worried him. He needed to shake these hunters off of him. His light green eyes scanned the area quickly, trying to think of something. He grabbed a hold of a tree branch, pulling himself towards it with all his might, bare feet skidding on the rough wet ground, and jumped on top of it. He climbed a few branches higher as fast as he could and then glanced back down. It left him breathless but it succeeded in driving the hunters at the wrong direction momentarily.

He tried to control his exhilarated breathing, resting against the tree and sliding to sit on the branch for a while.

Those hunters weren't humans, that much he knew. Their soul was uniquely dark and their smell of the suffering dead, which only meant they were demons. Why were demon hunters after him though? A mere werewolf?

He stared up at the starry sky, and could only think of one thing. His thought was interrupted when a hand suddenly appeared into his eyesight, clasped on his mouth and he let out a surprised scream when he felt the branch come alive and wrap itself around his whole body.

"Whoa! Skai, hey, it's okay! You're okay!"

Skai blinked her eyes open as she panted and looked around frantically. It took her a while to realize she was on her bed, sitting up and uncomfortably sweaty, and another few seconds to notice Mikasa in her pajamas sitting right in front of her, her hands on each of the shorter girl's cheeks, with a concerned and slightly annoyed frown.

"Another nightmare?" The raven asked softly, letting go of Skai's face.

Skai stared at Mikasa for a minute before she looked down at her hands, taking notice of the darkness in their room. "What time is it?"

"2 am," Mikasa murmured with a sigh and the blond flinched.

"Sorry. I keep waking you up..."

"Hey, it's okay, I understand."

"Still, I think Xkaliber should put a spell on me or-" Skai stopped mid sentence at Mikasa's snort and looked up at the raven.

"You seriously trust Xkaliber with those spells-gone-wrong?" She chuckled at the way Skai frowned warily. "Don't worry about it, it's no problem for me."

Mikasa looked tired though, which only made Skai feel more guilty. She had been staying in the academy for two weeks now, and this particular week for some reason she has been having nightmare after nightmare. She didn't want to become a nuisance to her roommate.

And the thing that creeped her out most was the fact she didn't remember much of the nightmare after a few hours of being awake. Even now, it disappears from her consciousness like it never even happened. And she felt like it was something important but she didn't want to seem naive.

"What was the nightmare about this time?" Mikasa asked as she got comfortable in front of Skai, having already taken her own blanket from her bed the moment she heard Skai yelling out in her sleep. Mikasa had started getting used to it, and she didn't really mind that much. She just wished she knew how to help the blond.

"The same...except this time I'm actually him," Skai muttered and rubbed her face with her hand. "I don't know if I'm sounding stupid, but do you think it's a message or a sign or something?"

Mikasa pursed her lips in thought, looking at Skai skeptically. Reflexively, the two had gotten closer over the days, a friendship forming slowly but precisely, and Mikasa knew enough of the blonde to know she wasn't really brushing this off as if it was nothing. "Well, we could always consult with Regina. Visions usually happens to messenger angels or demons or oracles, or someone along that line, but you never know."

Skai relaxed, liking the fact Mikasa took her seriously instead of making fun of her, and smiled sheepishly at the raven. "Yeah, I would like that...sorry, again."

Mikasa rolled her eyes and stood up from the bed, a smile playing on her lips. "It's okay, really. However, if there's anything I could to help you stop, don't be afraid to ask."

Skai chuckled and grinned widely, quickly at ease. "Right."

Mikasa sent the blond a soft smile before she got in her bed, and cuddled herself up, giving the other her back. Skai was still grinning to herself as she moved to get out of the bed and take a shower.

She hated being sweaty.

"Good morning, darlings!" Viktor sang as he swung the curtains open, letting in the blinding sunlight.

Mikasa hissed in response, covering her face from the sun with her blankets while Skai just groaned, covering her eyes with her elbow.

"Come on, princesses, wake up!" Viktor was way too chipper and happy for Mikasa's and Skai's liking. They were both tired and the fairy was obviously not leaving the center of the room until both of them made a move to get ready for a the Saturday training. "Bright and early! We have to do some activities today, remember?"

"We get it, just go," Mikasa growled under her covers.

"It's Saturday morning," Skai whined. "Why is this happening."

"Don't be so whiny! I'm making breakfast and everybody else is down there! I better see you both in a few minutes!" Viktor blew kisses to the two lumps on the bed and skipped off out of the room.

Skai was the one who moved out of the bed first after a while of absolute silence. "Come on, Mikasa, we have training."

Mikasa only growled at her in response.

Skai laughed and threw the lump of blankets a pillow. "Wake up already, lazy ass."

"I keep telling you, Tobi, you have to talk to your father!" Clarice was obviously mad about something, as Mikasa and Skai walked into the kitchen.

Tobi paid her no mind, munching on his cereal and frowning at the bowl almost disappointedly. "I don't need to talk to anybody."

Clarice's face turned red in frustration, slamming her hands on the golden table and making it shake considerably. Xkaliber quickly grabbed his plates and the juice container before it could fall. "If you're getting new powers you don't understand, your father-"

"Enough about the family talk," Mikasa barked, and forcefully pushed Clarice down on her seat. The brunette frowned and looked up at Mikasa to try and explain but the taller girl was made a shushing sound. "Just eat in peace, will you?"

"It's too early for drama," Viktor added as he put a plate of fried sardines and eggs in front of Clarice, who instantly forgot about her cousin and began to eat excitedly.

Tobi grinned thankfully at Mikasa, who shook her head at him to show he wasn't off the hook yet.

Skai sat down next to Xkaliber and thanked him for filling her cup with orange juice. "What are you reading?"

The wizard smiled at her in response and showed her the cover. "A book of how to undue spells. Hopefully, I'll learn something!"

"Ah...hopefully," Skai snickered at Xkaliber's huff.

Mikasa turned around and helped Viktor with the food in the kitchen, serving it onto the plates.

"Skai, you want your meat medium rare this time?" Viktor asked as he flipped an egg and Mikasa skillfully caught it on a plate.

"Yes please," Skai smiled to herself as she watched the two of them work together in cooking. Amazingly enough, everyone was super cool about Skai's menu, and she has never felt this comfortable with anyone before. Her new group of housemates were truly amazing, and she couldn't help but feel pride in being with them. And seeing them all in their pajamas and messy hair, it made her feel like they were a family. Xkaliber and Clarice were the simplest, if she was to judge, generally speaking. They obeyed orders easily out of all of the others and were the most compassionate, but still yet very worrisome if you count their clumsiness and constant mistakes. Tobi was more like the troublemaker, picking fights and quarrels with everyone, specially Clarice. Mikasa and Viktor were the most motherly, she found out. It surprised her out of Mikasa, but not much out of Viktor, who always seemed in such a good mood. Mikasa was pretty in between most, always seeming to knowing what was going on with everyone. Skai was quickly getting used to having Mikasa worry about her as well, and the blonde didn't know how she felt about that yet.

Skai blinked when Mikasa placed her plate of food in front of the shorter girl. "Here you go."

Skai nodded in thanks and observed everyone else eat silently in their seats. Viktor was drowning down a special fairy vitamin smoothie while humming some tunes, Xkaliber and Mikasa pretty eating normal human food, consisting of rice balls and fried eggs. Clarice was a conflicting matter, the only she was eating right now was fried fish.

'Would that count as cannibalism?' Skai frowned in thought.

Tobi already seemed to be done with his cereal, which was all she had been seeing him eat lately. Mikasa had told her once it was because he didn't really like any food that was heated up in the mornings and Skai briefly found herself wondering why. The guy was made of fire...

A knock on the door broke Skai out of her thoughts and she sensed who it was immediately. "I'll get it!"

"Regina, your shirt!" Emma giggled as she watched the older raven quickly try to compose herself the best she could.

"Shut it, Miss Swan, this wouldn't have happened if you wouldn't have wanted another round at my office," Regina hissed at her grumpily and Emma's giggles just increased.

Skai opened the door with a smile that quickly morphed into a grimace. 'They smell like pure sex again.'

"Hey, kid," Emma smiled at the shorter blond, who only glanced at her before letting them in.

Emma mentally sighed. She had been trying to win over Regina's niece, but she was turning out to be tougher than she thought. And it didn't make much sense to her, Mikasa and the others already seemed to have won her favor! 'Why is she so stubborn with me? It can't be because I'm fucking her aunt!'

Emma was exceptionally oblivious when it comes to her relationship sometimes.

"Are you all ready?" Regina asked Skai, who shook her head sheepishly. Saturdays, they usually still had classes until midday, but today, the headmaster had wanted to focus entirely in Skai's training so she could catch up.

"We woke up a bit late," Skai apologized as she walked back to the kitchen and dining room with the two women following closely behind her.

It didn't really surprise her that everybody else was done with their breakfast and was already getting ready except Mikasa, who was washing the dishes. 'Fast fuckers,' Skai mentally scowled and sat down to eat.

"Want some coffee you two?" Mikasa inquired as she saw the couple enter the room. She traded glances with Skai, who nodded discreetly in response to Mikasa's silent question.

Mikasa rolled her eyes.

"I would like some," Emma said happily, sitting down next to Skai, who scowled a little at having the smell of sex so close to her.

Regina was more self-conscious about it, staying still and looking around the house at the new picture frames Viktor had put up with now Skai in them. "No, thank you, Miss Uchiha. We should be getting going, I wouldn't want the portal to close."

"Oh? We're going far?" Mikasa cocked her head to the side with curiosity as she prepared Emma's coffee.

"Only a few good miles," Regina nodded.

"I hate the damn forest route," Tobi muttered under his breath for about the sixth time as he literally burnt the leaves out of his way before they could hit him on the face when Skai let go of the branch. "What happened to the portal, headmaster?"

"We're on our way towards it, you brat," Emma's eye twitched in annoyance as she spoke through her teeth and swatted some mosquitos off of her.

"I believe I asked the headmaster, not you," Tobi barked as they glared at each other.

"Could you two stop it? There's enough nuisances already," Mikasa hissed as she walked around a dead frog, Skai and Xkaliber close behind her.

Skai scrunched her nose in disgust when Xkaliber accidentally stepped on the decaying animal. "Ew, Xkali!"

"Shit," Xkaliber whined in response as he tried to scrub the guts off his new pair of boots against a tree bark. "And on my new shoes too, fuckery."

"Go to the back," Mikasa grimaced at the smell as Skai pinched her own nose to try and avoid it.

"Yeah, we don't want him over here," Emma shouted from the rear of the group.

"Sure, 'cause you'd just love to continue on with a whining Tobi," Skai murmured under her breath.

"I heard that!"

"Well, good!"

Regina rolled her eyes at the conversations of her lover and students. 'God, you can barely tell the difference between them, and Emma's supposed to be an adult'. The raven glanced to her side, glad that she had the mermaid demigod and the fairy as her companions.

Viktor was far too busy admiring the flora and occasionally collecting certain herbs to try and make conversation and Clarice was entertained by just humming a tune and enjoying her surroundings.

Regina sighed as yet again her heels dug into the dirt. 'I hate the fucking forest.'

The only reason she hadn't used magic to transport her next to the portal was because Hatter hated having such security breaches, since using any type of power was forbidden in the Enchanted Forest. Now, anyways. Regina could remember the years, way back, when it wasn't forbidden. But alas, the new generation of creatures needed to grow and respect legends, being natural born rebels as they were, and this was one small detail she liked having established.

She didn't really fancy getting one of her favorite pairs of heels caked with mud, however.

She wasn't going to complain about it though. If she did, she can already imagine Emma's laughter and repetitive 'I told you so's.

Regina didn't have to say anything though. Emma was already chucking as discreetly as she could watching the raven grimace and flinch each time her heels hit the ground. Sometimes Regina was too expressive for her own good.

"How far is this portal again?" Tobi grumbled.

"Fucking Buddha," Mikasa huffed and Skai chuckled at her reaction. Although, Tobi really was getting on everyone's nerve. Skai was sure that if he said anything else again, she herself would shut him up.

"Shut up already baldie, you're getting irritating," Xkaliber said as he wiped off the sweat from his forehead with his arm.

"Who the fuck you calling baldie, you weave?!"

"Hey, look, we're here!" Clarice quickly announced the moment the clearing came into view with a golden arch in the middle of the meadow, she literally skipped towards it with Viktor close on her heels.

"Finally," Emma and Skai groaned at the same time. They blinked and glanced at each other. The older blonde sent a smile at the younger one, who almost responded in kind before remembering who it was, and scowled instead.

Emma sighed in dismay as she watched the shorter girl walk away. 'I'll never win with her, will I?'

"The hell, we could've transported here," Tobi growled as he stood next to Regina, who gave him a wary look.

"Let's just go, it's already noon," Mikasa said as she took off her scarf and wrapped it around her waist. It was getting too hot for her liking, and she was already sweaty.

Skai was displeased with the amount of sweat coming from all of them, including herself as she sniffed the air and murmured a soft 'ew' at the musk.

Tobi sighed, being the only used to being hot, so he was the only currently not sweaty. However, the humidity was getting to him. He frowned as something came to thought. "Clarice, how are you holding up?"

Clarice had mostly been quiet all of the way to conserve energy. Being half mermaid really did a number on her, since she didn't really respond well to heat. She looked mildly surprised her cousin was the first to ask of her well being, but relaxed when seeing Mikasa was expecting an answer as well. "I'm good, might need some water soon though."

"We'll get you some," Viktor quickly amended as Regina started walking forward towards the arch.

The arch glowed purple once Regina got closer to it, symbolizing it's readiness to teleport.

Regina looked behind her with a challenging smirk. "Why don't we start this training session, shall we?"
