Hey there again. I'm so sorry this took such a long time. But one of the parts in this story are my sincere feelings. Let's see if you can find them! Enjoy!

"Way to go, jackass." Monkey scowled as she stood with Snake by her side, watching a pathetic Renji pace back and forth in front of his bed. It was bad enough he knocked his girlfriend out, whom was unconscious in his bed, he didn't need his Zanpakatō bashing him for it too.

"Hey! I'm already in deep enough shit! I don't need you two ti be up my ass as well, all right?!" Renji snapped. Snake chuckled.

"I guess you can say it's a form of payback for pulling my tail!" he laughed. Renji glared at him.

"Keep talking you serpent and I'll be sure to choke you with your own tail!" Renji yelled.

"It's not my fault you knocked out your girlfriend!" she retorted. "You're the idiot that stuck us in the closet!" Renji was about to pull his hair out. He was about to strangle the manifested boy when Snake interrupted them.

"Guys, stop it! Snake, shut up. You have no right to speak here." she spat. Snake stuck out his tongue and turned away. "Renji, call Ichigo. Maybe he'll know what to do." she told him. Renji hesitated and looked away. "What's wrong, Renji? Call Ichigo. He'll probably do something for that massive bump on Allison's head." she pointed to Allison. The lump on the side of her head was swelling and turning red. Renji sighed.

"I can't call him." Renji said in a low tone. Monkey cocked her head.

"Why not? I thought you guys were friends. And practically partners in crime." Monkey asked. Renji looked up to her.

"I got into a fight with him a couple of days ago… I bet he never wants to speak to me again." Renji felt crestfallen and ashamed of himself. He fucked up big time. He lost his friends AND his girlfriend.

"Well, you don't know that for sure, right?" Monkey asked. Renji raised an eyebrow at her. "If you only talked to him that day and not anymore, maybe he's over it. Call him, Renji. Who else is there?" Monkey was right… he was being immature. And currently, Ichigo was the only one who could help.

Smiling with determination, Renji reached in his pocket and dug out his phone. "You're right, Monkey." he said as he dialed Ichigo's number. "That strawberry can't stay mad at me forever. Especially after all those times I stabbed him in the gut."

With a defeated and tired sigh, Ichigo flopped on his bed, Rukia lying on his back. He had spent all day searching for Renji and he couldn't find that fucking red-head anywhere. He felt anger he couldn't find him and guilt for breaking his promise to Rukia. He swore he would find her best friend and he didn't…

"I'm sorry, Rukia…" Ichigo mumbled. Rukia wrapped her arms around his chest.

"For what?" she asked. Ichigo furrowed his eyebrows.

"What do you mean 'For what?'? I failed to find Renji after I promised I would…" Ichigo grumbled. He felt Rukia rest her head on his back.

"Ichigo. You didn't fail. I couldn't find him and who knows. Maybe he went back to the Soul Society and that could be a reason we can't find him here on The World of the Living." Rukia suggested. Though that made sense, it didn't comfort Ichigo one bit.

"Maybe… whatever…" Ichigo rolled to the side so that he was on his back with Rukia resting on his chest. She looked at him and saw just how hard his eyes seemed.

"You're really upset about this… aren't you?" she asked. Ichigo kept his gaze out the window, his arms crossed behind his head. He didn't answer Rukia, but he didn't need to. Rukia knew that was an obvious yes. In Ichigo's language that is… "Ichigo, you don't need to–"

"Was this my fault?" Ichigo cut her off, still not looking at her. Rukia blinked at his sudden question.

"Huh?"

"I mean, it's my fault… hadn't I told Allison, none of this would be happening. And Renji would still be here." Ichigo looked so depressed. It was actually making Rukia feel bad.

"Ichigo, don't go blaming yourself. It wasn't your fault Allison got into an accident and lost her memory. It wasn't your fault Renji overreacted like he does. In fact, I think he got that annoying trait from Byakuya. And it's not your fault Renji's an idiot and ran away from his issues. So don't beat yourself up about it." Rukia told him. Ichigo finally looked at her. "Plus we don't know that he's not in Karakura town. He's probably purposely hiding his spirit energy so we don't find him because he knows we're going to beat him up once we find his dumb ass." she smirked. Ichigo smiled and chuckled. Rukia was right. In more ways than one.

Ichigo took Rukia's face and brought her lips to his for a long, loving kiss. He let her go and smiled warmly at her.

"You always know how to make me feel better." Rukia smiled in return.

"Anytime, Strawberry." Ichigo was going to kiss her again when he heard his phone ring. Instantly, both Ichigo and Rukia bolted upward and Ichigo yanked his phone from his pocket. Upon looking at the screen, he was both surprised and infuriated to see Renji's number and a picture of a pineapple.

"That bastard." he growled, squeezing his phone.

"Put it on speaker, Ichigo. I wanna hear what he has to say." Rukia crossed her arms, daggers in her glaring eyes. Ichigo pressed the button and answered this phone.

"What do you want, asshole? We've been looking for you all damn day and NOW you call? This better be a good reason or I swear I'll–"

"Ichigo, it's Allison!" Renji yelled. Ichigo's heart skipped a beat at how terrified Renji's voice was.

"Wh-what?" Ichigo stuttered.

"Renji! What's wrong with Allison?!" Rukia yelled into the phone.

"Just get over here, guys! I'm seriously getting worried!" and that was all Renji said before hanging up the phone. Panicked, Ichigo jumped to his feet.

"Shit! What did he do now?!" Ichigo yelled a he opened his window and jumped out, Rukia following him closely.

"Well that could've went a bit better…" Monkey complained as I hung up the phone. What more did she want?! At least I called the damn kid!

"You know what? If YOU didn't like the way I called him, YOU should've done it!" I yelled. She put her hands up in defense.

"Chill out, you ape. I was just thinking because you so abruptly hang up that he may not come." Monkey said. I laughed. She obviously didn't know Ichigo.

"If it's Allison, or Rukia, or any other female we know, Ichigo WILL come if they're in trouble." I smirked. Monkey rolled her eyes at me.

"Where was he when you agreed to be her girlfriend? Woulda saved her a lot of pain!" Snake yelled. I took the liberty of picking up one of my tank tops lying on the floor and whipping it at his face. "Jackass!"

"Enough!" Monkey yelled. "Fighting isn't going to make things better. You should know that by now, Renji." she scowled at me. I went quiet. I already knew the extent of my damage was bad. It was my fault everything happened.

"I know... I'm sorry..." I bowed my head. If this makes Allison worse, then I'll never, ever forgive myself for as long as I'm still living. I looked to Allison. She was still asleep. I can't believe I knocked her out. I can't believe I almost killed her. And worse, I might've caused her even more damage than there already was. "I'm such a fucking moron..." I cursed to myself. "I can't believe how stupid I am. I can't even imagine what Byakuya would say to me if he knew what I was doing."

"Byakuya isn't your concern right now." Monkey said.

"No, but I can't help but realize how much of an idiot I've been. Look at all I've done!" I turned to her. "I completely blew off my girlfriend for a dance she's been chattering about since she was like ten, I caused her to get into a car wreck, I'm the reason she lost her memory, I ran away from all of my issues like a weakling, I blamed Ichigo for everything I've done, and I knocked her out." Monkey stood stunned in silence.

"... yeah, that is a lot..." Monkey scratched the back of her neck. With a groan I leaned against the wall, eventually sliding down to the floor. "Renji..." her voice was sympathetic, but I didn't want to hear it. I guess I deserved it. All this bad luck that is striking upon me. It's like God secretly hates me.

What's making me feel even more like shit is all of Allison's problems that she dealt with back at home. How she was mistreated by her parents. How they always put her down and yelled at her for the littlest things. I was so enraged when she told me. She was hesitant to tell me anything that bothered her when we first met, and even more so when we began dating, but almost immediately after telling me, I flipped. And I scared her since she thought I was mad that she was blabbering to me about her "pointless and meaningless problems". But NOTHING she tells me is pointless and meaningless. Everything that comes out of her mouth, whether good or bad, means a lot to me. Even if I don't like it, I cherish it. Because I know that it will serve me better in the future. It teaches me the wrong I did and how to fix it because I don't want her to feel that way towards me or anyone else ever again.

Not much longer after that she told me about this one girl that treated her wrong but she couldn't remember her name. Which, in a way I'm glad because after what she told me, I wouldn't even STAND to think of her name. I don't even want to say it. This bitch…and I NEVER call women bitches, even if they are the clear example of one, but THIS BITCH.

For some reason, only known to this idiotic "friend", she felt the need to become "friends" with Allison. For a couple years in high school, she was so nice to her. She was like any other "normal" girl there in America. Hanging out with friends, sharing interests, and having special moments with Allison that really made her friendship true and what seemed to be long-lasting.

BULLSHIT.

BULL—FUCKING—SHIT.

Apparently, this bitch went psycho and began to just, well, be a BITCH to Allison. She talked behind her back and would take everything Allison did for her for granted. Allison busted her ass trying to make this "friend" happy and never once did the bitch return the favor! When Allison went to this friend for help, the girl wouldn't do anything but think about herself and then had the GUTS to say Allison only thought of herself and her own side. The actual fuck?! Anyone who met Allison saw how sincere and wonderful she was. But the real kicker is this; turns out this idiot wanted NOTHING to do with Allison and purposely wanted to make her life miserable for her own entertainment. Now, who the fuck does that!? And this bitch turned most of Allison's friends against her with lies. That is the lowest of the low. When Allison told me that, I was about ready to flashstep to that country and just go Bankai on her ass, but I'm a nice guy and decided that my animosity towards this girl was enough.

And even though I knew of the hardships Allison went through I pushed them aside for my own gratification. And for what? Allison's hurt, I'm hurt, everyone around me is hurt. So in the end, I'm asking myself,

"What was the point?"

"Hm?" Monkey asked. I looked up to her confused face. I must've said it out loud by accident.

"Nothing..." I growled. Monkey came closer to me and knelt down beside me. I didn't react to her and just kept my head in between my legs.

"Renji, don't beat yourself up. Everyone makes mistakes in life. We've all made plenty. Isn't that right, Snake?" she raised her voice.

"Bite me!" he yelled back. Monkey rolled her eyes, but I still didn't reply.

"What I've done isn't forgivable..." I muttered.

"You have to forgive yourself, Renji." Monkey said. "If you don't, you're going to get nowhere."

"And what if Allison never forgives me?" that was my biggest fear. What if she wakes up, still out of her mind, and this time even more frantic? What if she calls the cops on me? What if she runs off and I never find her? Allison's capable of getting lost when she's completely normal so I can only imagine the danger she would get in now. If I lose Allison... well, I lose everything.

"Renji... I wish all you put me through was a blow to the head." Monkey said with a smile. I looked to her. "I've seen Allison in action before. And by in action, I mean dealing with your dumbass for all hours of the day and you do say some stupid shit a lot."

Gee... thanks, Monkey...

"And you know what? I don't think I've ever seen Allison happier. I think she personally likes that idiot-side of you. Because I know, just as well as you, that she isn't the sharpest Zanpakatō out there, am I correct?" her question made me chuckle.

"You got that right." I replied. I sighed and looked up. I looked to Monkey and smiled. Who knew she was so… comforting.

"Ya know, I never realized how sympathetic you are." I mentioned, and then a dead look crossed her face.

"Don't get your hopes up." she growled. So much for a sweet side… "This is a one-time thing. At least I hope it is. Will this be the ONLY time it happens?" Monkey raised an eyebrow.

"I swear as long as I'm alive this will NEVER happen again." I swore. Monkey smiled.

"Renji!" I heard a familiar shout. At first I thought it was Allison, but I soon figured out that the voice was too masculine and too far away to be her. Instead, it sounded an awful lot like…

"Renji!" the shout–this time a lot closer–came and my door soon swung open, the heavy wooden thing slamming right into Snake and sending him toppling backwards.

"OW!" was all I heard from him as I hopped to my feet, watching Ichigo and Rukia panting hard.

"Renji, we came as soon as we can. Are you–Jesus Christ, I can't breathe!" Ichigo yelled through pants, clutching his chest. Even though this wasn't exactly supposed to be a joyous time, I couldn't help but smile a little. My friends were here. They actually came to my aid in my time of dire need.

"Renji! What's wrong with Allison?!" Rukia yelled next. Before I could answer, she was already at Allison's bedside, looking down at her in disbelief.

"Ow!" Ichigo suddenly yelled from the door. Snake had bit him. Typical snake...

"Snake, no!" Monkey yelled, pulling the pink-haired thing off of Ichigo's hand. Ichigo grumbled some curse words before going to Rukia's side.

"He hit me with the door!" Snake yelled.

"And I'm going to hit you a thousand times harder with my fist if you don't behave!" Monkey yelled back. I groaned. Can't things just go RIGHT for once?

"We ran all the way here. What's going on? What happened to Allison?!" Ichigo yelled at me. Where was I supposed to start?

"Well, I sorta... hit her in the head." I said shyly, and Ichigo and Rukia's glares locked onto me.

"You hit her? In the head?" Ichigo snarled. I gulped. "Why did you hit her! She's already beaten up enough!

"You think I wanted to hit her?!" I roared right back. "And I know that! You honestly think I would hit Allison when she's this vulnerable?!"

"Well considering you're not that smart when it comes to girls, I'm not surprised you would!"

"So you're calling me an abuser?!"

"I'm calling you an idiot!"

"Guys, SHUT UP!" Rukia screamed from behind me. Ichigo and I adverted our attention to the short woman kneeling next to Allison. "If you guys don't stop screaming, I'll really give you a reason to scream!" she yelled. Ichigo suddenly smirked, and her eyes narrowed. "Not like that you perv. Is yelling going to help her?" She asked. I lowered my head.

"No..." I answered.

"And Ichigo, fight later. We have to help her." Rukia said. Ichigo walked up next to Rukia and looked down at Allison. I saw him cringe when he laid his eyes on the red bump on her head.

"That's a really nasty-looking lump. Damn, Renji. The hell did you hit her with?" Ichigo asked. I couldn't answer because Monkey had jumped in.

"Us." she said, and when Ichigo and Rukia tilted their heads, she verified, "As in his Zanpakatō." and they turned to me.

"What?!" they both yelled in fury. I put my hands up in defense.

"It was a total accident! I didn't mean to slam the hilt into the side of her head!" I yelled. Rukia smacked her forehead.

"Oh my God, Renji! You're going to kill her!" she yelled.

"As if I haven't thought that already! Just help her!" I yelled back.

"Well I can't treat her here." Ichigo said. "Bring her back to my place and I'll check her out in the clinic. I just want to make sure she doesn't have any head trauma." Ichigo went to scoop Allison in his arms, but Renji objected.

"No!" he yelled. Everyone froze and gave Renji a stare. "I'll carry her. She's my girlfriend. And more importantly, my responsibility." Renji walked over to the bed and scooped Allison into his arms and cradled her gently, a frown replacing his stern face. Ichigo smiled.

"That's a-okay with me, Renji." Ichigo said. He opened the window and hopped out. "Meet me at my place and hurry. You too, Rukia." Ichigo called. Rukia nodded and hopped out the window as well. Renji looked back to Monkey and Snake.

"You two good alone here?" Renji asked. Monkey nodded.

"Don't worry, Renji. I'll keep things in check here." Monkey said as she tugged Snake's chain, causing him to fall on the floor. Renji smiled.

"Thanks, Monkey. I knew I could count on you." Renji said before hopping out the window with Allison in his arms.

"Well, the good news is that she doesn't seem to have any further head trauma." Ichigo said as he laid an ice pack on Allison's bump that was now turning a bright red. Renji let out a sigh of relief.

"That's good... I guess." he muttered. Renji's been down ever since he arrived at Ichigo's house. Ichigo understood that he was concerned greatly about her, but sulking like this wasn't going to help things.

"It's okay, Renji. She's going to be fine." Ichigo tried to reassure him. Renji glared at him.

"Ichigo. Would you be all perky if this were Rukia here lying on a cot in your clinic possibly never going to remember who the fuck you are?" Renji growled. Ichigo said nothing. His question actually shocked him. What would he do if this was Rukia?

"Renji, I... I don't know what to say..." Ichigo admitted. Renji continued to glare at him.

"Exactly... so don't tell me how to feel." he spat.

"Renji," Rukia stepped in the room. "Don't treat Ichigo like that. Be thankful that he's helping. And don't throw me into situations like this!" she yelled. Renji stood up.

"You have no idea how I'm feeling, Rukia!" Renji yelled back.

"Don't talk to her like that!" Ichigo stepped in front of Rukia, locking his eyes with Renji's. "Listen, Renji, I get you're upset about what happened and all, but being a prick towards us only causes more problems. Don't forget we spent all damn day looking for your ass and I am now treating Allison here at my house. Be a little more grateful." Ichigo growled.

"Well excuse me for—! W-wait… you spent all day looking for me?" Renji asked as he suddenly realized what his friends said. Rukia nodded.

"Renji, I was a nervous wreck when I found out you were gone and left Allison at home alone. I thought something bad happened to you. You never thought how we felt by doing what you did, did you?" Rukia asked. As Renji looked at them, he realized how sincere they were. And Rukia… she looked so hurt. And here he thought he was the only one stressing over Allison…

Looking down, Renji sighed. "I'm so sorry, guys… I guess I let my guilt get the best of me…" he looked up at Ichigo. "And I am grateful. For you guys; for everything. Sorry if I don't seem like I'm showing it. I'm just…"

"Worried." Rukia finished. She then ran over and gave her friend a tight hug. "I accept your apology you stupid ape." Renji hugged her back.

"Thanks," he chuckled. "I needed to hear that." Ichigo patted the man's shoulder.

"No problem," Ichigo smiled. "We're friends, aren't we? Friends forgive each other." Renji punched his arm.

"Yeah, we're friends. Berry."

"Right back at ya, Pineapple."

"Yay! We're friends again!" Rukia squealed as she pulled Renji and Ichigo close to each other's face. They both let out an uncomfortable groan.

"Uh, maybe a little too friendly, Rukia." Ichigo said as he pulled himself and Rukia away from Renji. Renji felt great and all about his friends forgiving him, but there was still one thing wrong.

"But… what about Allison?" Renji looked back to Allison lying nearly lifeless on the clinic's cot. "What if she never remembers me? What if she hates me for life? And if she does remember me, what if she resents me for all that I've done?" Renji asked. Questions kept flying around his head like: Is Allison going to be all right? Did he scar her for life? What if he damaged her even further? Stupid, stupid, STUPID!

"Renji," Ichigo stepped next to him. "You know she'll forgive you. Even if she doesn't remember you, she'll forgive you if you show her the same love and protection you would if she were her old, mischievous, trouble-making, accident-prone Allison-self." Ichigo said softly. Renji worked up a smile as he looked at him.

"Ya know something, Strawberry. You're a good therapist. Ever thought of being one?" Renji asked.

"Only for you, Pineapple." Ichigo scoffed.

"Guys!" Rukia exclaimed. Renji and Ichigo looked down to see Rukia hovering over Allison. "I think she's waking up." Renji didn't waist another minute rushing to Allison's bedside and looking at her face. She moaned and winced in her sleep.

"You're right! Allison! Allison, can you hear me?" Renji picked up her hand and squeezed it tightly, not taking her eyes off her face.

"She may not exactly be awake." Ichigo said. "She may go back to sleep, but this is a good sign." Renji squeezed her hand tighter.

"Come on, honey. Wake up. Let me see your brown eyes again." Renji whispered. He leaned forward and kissed Allison's forehead, and sat back again. Seconds later, Allison opened her eyes, and the biggest smile crossed Renji's face. "Allison!" he said in excitement. Rukia and Ichigo smiled seeing her awake again. The question left was is if she was okay.

"Allison, can you hear us?" Ichigo asked as he leaned over Renji. For a few minutes, the girl just stared at them, blinking occasionally and exchanging her stare to the three of them.

"Allison? It's me, Renji." Renji said getting closer to her. Allison blinked at him with her half-lidded eyes as she stared into his.

"... Renji..." she whispered. Renji could've sworn he felt tears come to his eyes.

"How are you doing? Are you okay?" Renji asked. Allison continued to blink for several more minutes, not speaking a word. "Allison?" and a second later, Allison shot straight up and slapped Renji across his face. Again.

Renji flew backwards, landing on his back with a surprised yelp. He held his stinging cheek, which he knew was going to have a bright red hand print on it for the rest of the night. He looked forward at Rukia and Ichigo's shocked faces.

"You ASSHOLE!" Allison screamed. Her voice shook the whole house. There was a fiery anger deep in her eyes. Renji can't remember a time when she looked this pissed. "I can't believe you! You picked your goddamn beer over my prom! God, I hate you!" she yelled as she stomped past Ichigo and Rukia to Renji who was still on the floor. Renji's jaw dropped and his eyes went wide as he listened to Allison. "Wait unitl Ichigo and Rukia find out how you've been treating me! Then you'll regret it when Ichigo beats you up you stupid baboon!" she panted furiously as she glared at her boyfriend, and though Allison wasn't expecting it, Renji lunged forward and clamped his arms around her.

"Allison!" Renji yelled. Allison squeaked, unable to breathe. "Oh God, thank God you're back to normal!" Renji cheered. Allison, still real ticked, kneed Renji right where it hurts the most, causing him to cry out in pain and crumple to the floor. Rukia sighed from behind the two.

"Better get him on a cot too..." she grumbled. Allison put her hands on her hips and glared at Renji with confusion.

"What do you mean 'back to normal'? If you mean not angry, you got another thing coming, Abarai!" she yelled. Renji was too busy crying on the floor to answer her question.

"Uh, Allison..." Ichigo said from behind her, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Allison turned to him. "Er, well... it's a long story..."

"So, I lost my memory?" Allison asked. She had been sat down on the cot with Renji, whom was clutching his groin rather tightly for the past twenty minutes, and Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji told her everything. "But... I don't remember anything..."

"That's normal." Ichigo said. "All that matters is that you're back to normal." Allison turned to Renji. He smiled at her, but she couldn't help but frown.

"Is this all true, Renji?" she asked. Renji nodded.

"Everything we're telling you is the truth. You got into a car accident, lost you memory, and now you're back." he said. Allison looked down to the floor. "What's wrong?" he asked her.

She kept her gaze to the ground. "I could've died..." she muttered. Renji pulled her close to him, not letting her go.

"I know... and I'm so sorry. I never expected all of this to happen. But ya know what?"

"What?"

"If this hadn't of happened, I think I would still be a giant jerk and not have gone through hell to get you back." Renji smiled. Allison smiled too, but just the fact that she nearly died and was a totally different person for a period of a week was all too much for her to handle. "Why don't you lie down, Allison? It's been a long day and you probably need time to recover from your head injuries." Renji said. With a sigh, Allison agreed and lied down on the cot. Renji stood up and covered her with the blanket before leaving the room. He closed the door as Rukia and Ichigo walked out.

"Well, she's back." Ichigo said with a sigh of relief. Renji looked away. Rukia frowned.

"Renji?" she said. Renji looked to her. "What's wrong, Renji?"

"She seemed so shocked..." he said.

"And you wouldn't?" Ichigo said. "I'd shit bricks if someone told me I nearly died and wasn't myself for a week. I mean, when I go Hollow on people and come back I'm still freaked out. I never know if I'm going to attack Rukia or my family. She'll recover. Just give her some time." Ichigo said. With a sigh, Renji slumped against the wall.

"And tonight was prom..." Renji said to himself. Ichigo and Rukia looked to each other. They had missed the dance too. Not that they exactly cared. It was Allison and Renji they were really worried about.

"Like the doctor said, Renji. Her health is more important than a dance." Rukia said. Renji nodded.

"But tonight meant so much to her... how do I fix this?" Renji mumbled. The hallway went quiet for a while as Renji dealt with his whirling mind of thoughts.

Then he got an idea.

Whipping his head up, he looked to Ichigo.

"Hey, Berry." he smiled warmly. Ichigo arched an eyebrow.

"Yeah...?"

"You think I could ask the school a favor?"
