Here's the next chapter. Don't forget to read and review.
Sorry about not updating, life's been hectic with my senior year going on and lots of big projects.
So we were outvoted and going to Seattle. We were all in a large glade around seven in the evening and waiting for Fenrir to arrive and go with us. Tanya and Jane were talking to each other about where to go. John was talking with Doc and Adam about what they wanted to do and see. Derrick was sitting with Revan on the grass sharpening their knives and chatting casually. I was checking and double checking that I had all my weapons and gear that I needed.
Finally Fenrir came out of the woods and sat down we all gathered around him. "You guys ready?" He asked us as we stood around him in a circle. "Yeah, let's just get this over with." I sighed. "Oh come on don't look so down, who knows we could find some excitement." John said. "Be careful what you ask for." Revan said. "All right let's get this show on the road." Fenrir said. After that he started to chant and all of us glowed to the point I had to close my eyes.
After about five minutes I opened them up to see us inside a forest, in the distance I could make out the Space Needle. It was around seven o clock in the evening I looked at my watch and saw not even a second had passed since we left the glade. "So who wants to do what?" I asked the assembled people. "Revan and I are going to go shopping, aren't we Revan?" Tanya asked with a too sweet smile and I swear there was a demonic mask behind her. Revan nodded his head in an affirmative manner quickly. "Well now we know who wears the pants in the relationship. What about you guys?" I asked the rest of the assembled.
"Adam, John, Fenrir, Derrick, and I are going to the Space Needle." Doc answered. They all left, leaving Jane and myself alone in the middle of a forest. "So… anything you want to do?" I asked after a minute of awkward silence. "Yeah actually there was something I wanted to do." Jane responded after a minute. "I want to go to Pike Place Market." I looked at her confused. "Come again?" She sighed at me. "You never learn. Pike Market is a market a little ways from the docks and river. It's like a giant farmers market." She explained. I shrugged. "Why not?"
She smiled at me and grabbed my hand. I noticed a slight dusting of pink on her cheeks at the contact, but ignored it. We ran through the forest and after a while came to the city limits. We walked through the streets occasionally admiring the sights but otherwise it was uneventful.
We eventually found the market by following our noses. The place was filled with spices, fish, fruit, vegetables, and just about any type of food you can think of. We walked around just enjoying the sights, and smells that the market offered. Eventually we left and walked around just admiring the city. We both laughed at my many misadventures I had, and I listened to her adventures travelling across the states.
Eventually we both ended up at the waterfront near one of the marinas. Boats trekked across the water towards going up or down the river. Behind us cars zoomed by not all that many people were around us. It was around ten o'clock so it was dark outside and the lights from the skyscrapers and from the various piers lit up the night. I smiled over at Jane as she leaned back against the railing.
Jane turned towards me and looked at me weirdly. "Why you looking at me like that?" She asked, I turned my head away from her embarrassed at being caught staring at her. I leaned back on the bench I was sitting on and looked up at the few stars visible. "Just thinking that's all." I stated still staring up at the stars.
"Oh about what hmm?" Jane asked smirking at me. I sighed trust this girl to never let you live something down. "Just about what a fun day this has been." She chuckled at me for some reason. I looked over at her to see her eyes hold an emotion I couldn't get a very good read on. "You sure you weren't thinking about anything else?" She asked as she pushed herself off the railing and sauntered over to me swaying her hips slightly. I gulped and felt my heart pick up its pace slightly.
"Uh…Yeah?" I answered to the best of my abilities seeing as Jane just then decided to sit down on my lap and wrapped her arms around my neck and pressed her breasts against my chest. I became painfully aware that she wasn't wearing a bra.
"You don't sound too sure there Percy. Are you lying to me?" She whispered into my ear. I shuddered at the feel of her warm breath on my ear. "N-n-no ma'am." I stuttered. She was trying as hard as she could to get me not to think. "What's the matter Percy are you…Distracted?" Jane asked further pressing her breasts into my chest. I nearly moaned out when she did that. This woman knows no bounds.
Before she could do anything else a voice popped into my head. 'Percy! Percy! We need some help here! Some crazy chicks with bows, spears, swords and daggers just tried to jump Revan and he's running for now but we need some help! Like now!' Fenrirs' voice yelled in my head. I stiffened and turned towards Jane and saw her sigh and hang her head.
"You got the message too?" I asked, she nodded her head. Before she could get up I felt like the control of my body was ripped away. I grabbed Jane's chin and turned her head towards me. Before she could do anything I pressed my lips to hers and her eyes widened to large proportions. Then she closed her eyes and accepted the kiss. We broke away from the kiss both of us slightly panting.
"We'll pick this up later." I promised. Jane nodded her head and her eyes took on a sly look. "Oh I have every intention of doing so." I laughed at her and we both got up and ran towards the others. Before Fenrir had left my mind he had given me their location. Jane and I sped through the city, jumping over cars, dashing across streets and using fire escapes to move to buildings roofs.
We eventually made it to a plaza that was empty. The area was lit up with lamp posts making a perimeter around the square, in the middle of the square was a fountain with a stone wolf standing on a plateau of sorts, Trees and bushes surrounded the area and there were four ways in and out without moving through the brush.
One walkway to the north heading into the park, one to the west leading to the docks, one to the east heading deeper into the city and one to the south where we were at. Jane and I stood on top of a building and looked over the plaza, I looked to Jane before she nodded and we both leapt down to the ground landing in crouches.
I kept a hand on Riptide which was in my pocket, Jane had her hand on a small gold bangle on her right wrist, I smirked at her and she gave a smirk back before we walked to the fountain and sat down on the rim. We both took sniffs of the air discreetly and a wave of scents burst into our minds. The smell of wolves, sweat, blood, and celestial bronze came and we could hear the heavy breathing coming from the east. Looking that way we saw Revan burst into the clearing and clutching his shoulder as an arrow protruded from his back.
I rushed to Revan and took one of his shoulders as Jane took the other and we led him to the fountain. "Where's Tanya?" Jane questioned as we began to treat the arrow. Revan panted and hissed in pain at random intervals before gaining his breath. "I led the girls away and she went to Fenrir to warn him who in turn warned you." Revan informed before growling as the arrow was wrenched free and thrown to the ground.
Smoke wafted off the arrow and the strong scent of silver came off the arrow made us queasy. "Shit! That fucking Burns!" Revan cursed some more as we treated the wound with the water and a small cube of ambrosia. "We need to move now! I don't know how long I lost them or if I even did." Revan said as he stood with a few splatters of blood across his face along with sweat.
We both nodded and stood up, just as an arrow flew past us, looking at the eastward path we saw a group of twenty or so girls. Revan growled and pulled out Grimm, the blade shining menacingly in the moonlight, Jane and I both tensed and got ready to move. Before we could a woman walked forward. She had long black hair and Hispanic or South American features. "Halt! Leave the boy and leave with your lives." The woman commanded with her black eyes glaring at us.
"Sorry, no can do." Jane said as she prepared to fry them. "That boy there is a monster that needs to be dealt with, now stand aside demigod!" Revan growled and got ready to rush the girls and I couldn't blame him. "Again we can't he is our friend, and as much as I hate to admit it our family." I said earning an indignant 'Hey!' from Revan and a smirk from Jane. The girl raised her brow at us and looked to the others who were glaring at us, before looking back at us. "Did you not hear me boy, he is a monster, and a werewolf at that, unless you two wish to join him move aside."
I glanced at Jane and Revan and nodded to them before they smirked at me and I smirked back my eyes glowing a bit and changing color for a second before returning to normal as did their eyes as well. "Well hate to break it to ya missy," Jane said with a fake southern accent "But so are we." With that said Revan turned and ran, as did Jane though she leapt farther away that any normal human could hope to.
I turned and ran through the woods opting to stay with Revan, I took up position on his left flank while he ran through the woods with a speed few could hope to match. I easily kept up and we soon entered the streets of the city heading west towards the docks and the markets hoping the still unidentified women that so wanted to kill my brother.
"Revan what the hell did you do to piss them off so much?" I asked as I leapt over a bench and bounded through an alley way with Revan in front of me. "I don't know but I think it's the same girls as last time!" Revan shouted as he sprinted across the busy street making many cars swerve to move out of his way.
Revan and I dashed through a busy building bustling with people dressed in suits. We quickly left and came to a market that was bustling with food and people. We decided to take a different route this time. I jumped up to a car and onto the roof before leaping onto a building's roof and continued to the docks with Revan copying my actions. "Well if tit is them we need to probably leave before they call reinforce-" The sentence that Revan was saying was cut off as a swarm of silver arrows landed around him as he dodged them and leapt back to me a few yards away.
Looking at the direction the arrows came from we were met with a rather disturbing sight. The women from before were there but so were several girls with silver parkas, combat boots, and combat pants, all armed with bows at least and a few carrying spears. At the head of this group of girls was a twelve year old auburn haired kid with silvery eyes and a tiara on her head.
"Well, we're fucked." Revan said describing our situation perfectly. I nodded my head and saw the auburn haired girl, who was Artemis, raise her eyebrows. "Oh don't give us that look!" Revan shouted and the other girls tensed while Artemis raised another Eyebrow. "Yes you! What is your problem?! Did we just happen to stumble upon you and your merry band of travelling lesbians on their periods?! Is that why, because of some really bad timing?!"
By now the girls were trembling in anger and glared at us and Artemis looked ready to slaughter us. "I think I'll shut up now." Revan said quietly, when he caught sight of the glares they leveled on us he gulped, while turning around. "That'd be a fantastic idea, you do that." I said just to mess with him and Revan turned to look at me out of the corner of his eyes. "Traitor." He muttered and I snickered before turning to look at the girls, among who was Thalia who was giving me a curious glance.
"Did you enjoy your little rant because I think we may be castrated, quartered and skinned because of it?" I said and Revan turned to look at me then adopted a thinking pose. "Yeah I enjoyed it, it's not healthy to hold it all in." Revan said while trying to sound sagely, and failing miserably. "I really hate you right now." I stated while looking at my idiotic brother. Revan looked at me for a second before shrugging.
"Enough of this!" Artemis spoke out though you could practically feel the currents of anger in her voice. "You two will fall now." She spoke while the other girls readied their bows. I turned to Revan and shrugged as did he. "Just what the hell did we do to piss her off this much?"
"It might've been the fact that we just survived." Revan suggested both of us ignoring the girls about to kill us. "Yeah, I mean isn't it more sporty and worth it to finally kill something that has eluded you for so long and with the amount of time we evaded the merry band of lesbians we might just be worth our weight in gold to them." Revan explained while I nodded my agreement. While he might be dumb a lot of the time Revan had his moments.
"Maybe," I said while agreeing. "But we should probably do something about the traveling sisterhood of lesbians over there shouldn't we?" I asked while jerking my thumb towards the hunters and the girls again bristled while Artemis was as red as a tomato and shaking in anger. "Most likely." Revan shrugged while turning to face the silver covered girls. "But I'd rather run and just piss them off some more." Revan said while staring at Artemis.
I looked at Revan oddly. "Are you sure you're not a masochist?" I asked while taking a step back, Revan looked about ready to retort, finger in the air, mouth open and then he stopped for a moment and looked to be thinking. "You know now that you mention it, I might just be one, well shit." Revan said while putting his finger down and straightening out. The hunters and the others looked pissed as hell at this moment and Artemis had even drawn her bow to show how pissed she was.
"That's it!" Artemis shouted and Revan and I turned to face her. "You both are going to be skinned alive and I'll be sure to make sure you feel every fucking second of it you self-righteous bastards!" Artemis shouted her hunters backed off away from her as a silvery aura engulfed her. "Think we pissed her off?" Revan asked while fingering Grimm's bracelet. "What the fuck do you think?" I asked while keeping my hand near my watch ready to deploy my shield. "I'll take that as a yes." Revan said before turning and running as fast as he could, with me following, towards the harbor.
Arrows and a hail of sharp and pointy objects flew past us and around us as the hunters gave chase. They were fast and agile I'll give 'em that, they all jumped to roofs from telephone wires and fired pretty accurately, they would've hit us to if we weren't sons of Poseidon and had very precise control over water. As it was we made the air more damp and water filled making the arrows lag and drop short.
Suddenly in front of us were two hunters with their bows pointed at us. They both fired their already notched arrows at us, Revan ducked under the arrow while I just veered to the side, when we reached the hunters we each took a different way to deal with them. I flipped over the hunted in front of me and while I was above her, upside down I might add, I pushed her towards the way we came making her stumble.
Revan was a bit more…forceful in his approach, in simpler terms he moved like a linebacker and plowed into the hunter throwing her into a large air conditioning unit making a rather large dent in the unit and the hunter slumped down. I winced as the hunter impacted, if Artemis didn't want our heads before she did now, I could hear the breathing of the hunter barely as we ran away from the scene. It was good to know she was alive; otherwise we have a second before we were vaporized, or forced into an eternity of torture.
I vaulted over a buildings edge and onto the next building's roof; Revan ran atop a fence and jumped onto the top of a water tower before jumping down to the street with me not far behind. We ran down alley ways and through several areas trying to escape the horde of pissed of women. Eventually Revan and myself found ourselves in one of those giant drain tunnels on the beach.
Revan and I both were breathing heavily and hugging ourselves as close to the walls as we could, Revan and I both pulled various sharp and silver objects out of our bodies staining the rock a dark crimson, the wounds hissed and steamed as the silver left our bodies and our healing abilities kicked in. Revan hissed as he ripped out the shaft of an arrow buried in his side. "Remind me why we don't fight back that much. I mean can't we just, oh I don't know, maim a few of them to get a message across?" Revan asked as he slumped against the wall.
"Because I don't feel like being the target of a supernatural manhunt again." I said as I griped my right bicep which had an arrow sticking clean through, my blood slid down the arrows shaft hissing and crackling like bacon in a skillet. I gripped the arrow and broke off the end with the feathers and then pulled the rest out while I grit my teeth. Silver burned like napalm against my skin and I could feel little shavings of silver course through my blood and so it felt like napalm had been engrained throughout my entire body.
I took out a square of ambrosia and popped it in my mouth letting it work its magic, then I willed a small stream of the ocean water to crawl up the beach to us, to a normal person it'd look like just the drain letting out a small trickle of water, I willed the water to cover my wounds and Revan did the same.
I felt myself relax as the water worked its magic and the wounds slowly started to close. I leaned my head against the wall of the drain and sighed, I looked out into the sky to see a waning quarter moon, even in my weakened state I could still hear the moon calling out to me. I looked into a nearby puddle of water and saw my eyes were a glowing glacier blue color; I looked over at Revan to see him gritting his teeth and swearing like a sailor as he ripped out other arrows.
"What do we do now?" Revan asked as he ripped out the last arrow, I shrugged my shoulders and slowly stood up with Revan following suit. "Find Fenrir and the others, don't get caught or die, and get back home." I said as Revan paused then nodded his head in assent. "Good plan, short and simple. I like it."
I slowly inched my way out of the drain and looked around to see no one around and sighed in relief. Now which way to go? Then I felt a small presence in my head that always was there, it urged me to go to the right and to the woods where we came in from. The presence was like instincts of the wolf part of me. It was telling me to head towards Fenrir, he was the god of werewolves and so my wolf part urged me to find my patron whenever I was in need of help. But it was always there just stronger at times and weaker at others.
"Come on let's go. I don't feel like being a shish kabob." Revan said as he followed me towards Fenrir and the others. I nodded my head and we both sped off keeping on the lookout for trouble and praying for the others to be safe.
