Chunk just sat in the blonde girl's pocket for what seemed like hours, holding a very stressed out expression on his plastic face. He casted a glance over at Stretch on the other pocket; she seemed calmed but obviously worried.
They were wasting time! And they were getting farther and farther from finding the boys! Just the thought of the boys made the rock monster toy the more desperate that he almost considered jumping out of the girl's pocket, not caring if he broke the rules...
Suddenly, the bus came to a stop, and everyone began filing out of the vehicle. Soon, he found himself in the outdoors once again.
"You have half an hour, people," a tall woman in professional clothing announced. She motioned to a nearby gift shop they had stopped on front of. "After the time is up, meet here next to the bus."
After the announcement, the people from the bus began to disperse, some going into the gift shop, some doing a little sightseeing with nature, and the girl was led to a nearby table by supposedly her mother and she sat down. The little girl took out both Chunk and Stretch from her pockets and placed them on the table before she placed her backpack next to them.
"Your father and I will be right back," her mother told her, "we'll just be in the restroom."
And as soon as her mother left, the girl began to take out two other toys from her backpack and placed them on the table next to Chunk and Stretch. A green, molded figure of some kind of toy and a pink toy mouse with a clock on its chest...
"Gumby! Ritz!" The little girl introduced with a giggle. "Meet your new friends!"
And with quick introductions, the little girl began to randomly play with her toys for a while, walking them all over the table, pretend-fighting, and usually just giving them each dialogue. Finally, her father called.
"Ruby, can you give me a hand with this luggage? Daddy needs to get something."
"Okay," his daughter responded before she dropped her toys and raced over to help her father.
"Oh, man!" Chunk groaned as soon as he and Stretch got out of their frozen state. "Finally!"
"The boys are still out there!" Stretch reminded him frantically.
"You toys looking for somebody?" They both turned to see Gumby and Ritz staring at them.
"As a matter of fact, we are," Chunk said. "Look, I can't explain everything but I got to find three boys whom I love dearly and are out there because of a misunderstanding!"
"Oh, dear!" Ritz exclaimed in shock. "Those poor little toys!"
"We need to get to Emeryville Park!" Stretch added.
"Well, I'm no map person..." Gumby pondered.
"Emeryville was back that way from where we left!" Ritz chirped.
"Yeah, we were just there when your little girl took us away," Chunk grumbled.
"Yeah, sorry about Ruby," Gumby chuckled. "She just loves toys. Heck, we and a few others were passed down from her mom."
"Aw, that's sweet," Stretch said quickly. "But we got to go!"
The sound of en engine starting startled them and they all turned to see a truck, seemingly belonging to one of the workers of the gift shop, start as the driver began placing a few packages into the back.
"Make sure those things are safe on the way to the park," the store owner called.
"Bingo!" Chunk exclaimed.
"Well, there's your ride," Gumby nodded. "Here, the least Ritz and I can do is help you guys down from here." He offered Stretch his hand. "Madame?" He wriggled his yellow clay brow playfully.
"Oh, thank you," Stretch giggled before she gave him one of her long arms. Chunk just glowered as he watched the clay figure hoist Stretch down, his strength having no limit to the much larger toy.
Soon, Stretch was down to the ground and Chunk was hoisted down by Gumby afterwards.
"Thanks," Chunk said before he carried Stretch and he began running toward the vehicle. "See you around!"
"Later!" Gumby said as he and Ritz waved.
They went back to their frozen state as soon as Ruby returned, having placed a pink bear and a stuffed cat next to them after taking them out of her father's luggage.
"Where did those two toys I found go?" She asked herself before she began walk a bit if a distance from the table to search for them.
"Two new toys?" The pink bear asked as soon as Ruby was out of earshot.
"Just a couple of misfits who are looking for some tiny tot toys, Lotso," Gumby responded smoothly. "The girl toy was kind of cute..."
"I thought she was a man..." Ritz confessed.
The pink bear chuckled. "A female toy that looks like a man...like a Ken doll that is really a girl's toy."

Meanwhile, at the park, Allen hauled himself up unto a nearby tree branch, gazing at his surroundings. He wasn't too high up on the tree, but he did quite climb a good deal for a toy. His brothers were down in the ground, watching him.
"I don't think I want to live in a tree..." Tilford said quietly. "I liked Chunk's place..."
"But Chunk doesn't want us at his place anymore..." Sullivan reminded him. "We're taking too much of his space..."
"But..." Tilford squeaked. "It had a bed..."
"Bed smed!" Allen retorted as he jumped down to the ground, landing perfectly on his feet. "We're chipmunks, guys!"
"Toy chipmunks," Sullivan corrected.
"Yeah, sure," Allen rolled his eyes. "Anyway, we don't need that rockhead stooge! We can take care of ourselves! See up there?" He pointed toward the branch where he had been earlier. "I found us a hole to live in!"
"A hole?" Tilford repeated, his green eyes blinking ins surprise. "Are there blankets in there?"
"We don't need any of that stuff, Til!" Allen reminded him, getting a bit annoyed. "We're animals! We can survive the chill! Hey!"
His brothers looked at him, confused by his last remark. But then they followed his gaze and looked behind them. There stood the chipmunk that had throw its acorn at Tilford earlier. It seemed to be looking at them almost mockingly. It looked at them for a few moments, then it scurried off.
"Hey, buddy, I ain't done with you from earlier!" Allen shouted before he got on all fours and ran after the live chipmunk.
"Allen!" Sullivan exclaimed before he and Tilford ran warily behind him.

"Well, we're almost there..." Chunk announced as he peered through the tiny opening inside the trunk of their hitchhiked vehicle. "Man, I sure hope those kids aren't still mad at me..."
"You remember Tilford's note," Stretch reminded him. "Those exact words?"
Chunk remembered the words. Repeating them over and over in head broke his heart even more. And it would only be mended once he found the boys safe. Stretch watched as the rock monster toy sulked in guilt.
"Oh, baby..." She said soothingly before she placed a stretchy arm on his shoulder. "You know you didn't mean to..."
"But you heard me last night!" Chunk exclaimed, his voice sounding as if he were sobbing. "Every word I said! And the boys had heard every single word!" He looked at his huge, plastic hands. "Man, I really am a monster toy..."
"Oh, hon, come on..." Stretch urged him softly as she wrapped a few more arms around his frame and brought him close to a hug. "Don't beat yourself up..."
They lay there in silence for quite a while, Stretch's arms never leaving Chunk as she held him close.
"You know, Stretch..." Chunk finally spoke. "I don't know if I ever told you this, but your manufacturer really gave you a nice feel to your rubber coverage..."
"Well, you know..." Stretch said, trying to sound nonchalant while deep down she was screaming with excitement. "I'm built just the way I am..."
"Yeah..." Chunk muttered as he looked up and his digitally-produced blue eyes met her brown ones. "...perfect." He gave her a warm smile.
Stretch was a lost for words. She felt weak under his undeniable gaze. She just stood there, her arms still wrapped around his frame. Not just for comfort...
"Chipmunks!" She suddenly blurted out.
"Huh?" Chunk exclaimed, breaking out of his trance.
"Look!" Stretch exclaimed before she pointed an arm out of the trunk.
Chunk followed her gaze, and his jaw dropped. There, on the side of the road, scurrying through the forest was non other than Allen, with Sullivan and Tilford behind him.
"It's them!" Chunk exclaimed, smiling happily. "It's them!" He reached toward Stretch and hugged her and twirled her around in his excitement. "Oh, woman, we found them!"
"Well, what you waiting for, Hulky?" Stretch demanded with a bubbling laugh. "Let's get out butts out of here and get your boys!"
"Oh, yeah, right!" Chunk laughed maniacally before placing her down and he lifted the lid of the trunk.
They counted to three before they made a jump for it. Stretch first as she landed on the concrete, her squishy body receiving no harm. And Chunk landed on her, using her as his safety net. They turned to see the chipmunks were nearly out of sight.
"Come on!" Chunk urged before he grabbed Stretch's arm and they both raised after the boys.

"Your furry butt is dead, living cousin of mine!" Allen shouted as he pursued after the living chipmunk down the forest.
"Allen, let it go!" Sullivan pleaded as he and Tilford ran behind them.
Soon, they stopped, and Allen was standing on two feet as he glared at the living chipmunk. It just stared at him, blinking its huge eyes that seemed to have no actual life in them.
"We can do this the hard way or the easy way..." Allen said cooly as he took a step forward.
The living chipmunk said nothing, he just turned on its tail and began sending a squeak that sent shivers down Tilford's spine.
"What's it doing?" The tiny, green-eyed toy chipmunk asked fearfully as he glanced at Sullivan.
"If I'm correct..." The intelligent chipmunk began as he held his brother close, sharing in his fear as well, "our living cousin is calling reinforcements..."
"Oh, more of these dummies?" Allen laughed mockingly pointing a finger at the living chipmunk. "Bring it! I'm a toy! Nothing they can do will destroy me!"
"Tell that...to them..." Sullivan gulped as his blue eyes widened in fear behind his glasses before he pointed.
Allen looked at his brother before he followed his gaze and turned-
-and came face-to-face with a bulking furry chest.
Fearfully raising his eyes up, he gazed up into the biggest, chubbiest, most terrifying live chipmunk he and and his brothers had ever seen.
"This one must have been adopted..." Allen muttered, fear grasping at his throat.
"So were they?" Tilford asked innocently before he pointed high above.
They all looked and there stood high on the branches of some trees were more fearing live chipmunks, all gazing down at the three toy ones in anger and maliciousness. The little live one that Allen wanted to fight gave a mocking squeak.
"Aw, nuts..." Allen muttered as he and his brothers stood close, surrounded.
"What are we going to do?" Tilford whimpered.
"Pray that after we get disassembled..." Sullivan began, struggling on his words as he held his brothers close, "...none of our parts get eaten."
The big chipmunks let out angry squeaks as they closed in on them, showing some sharp-looking buckteeth.
"I wish we had stayed with Chunk..." Tilford whimpered as he held tighter unto his brothers.
"Me, too..." Sullivan whimpered.
"As much as Chunk didn't want us around..." Allen muttered as he fearfully held onto his brothers. "I sure wanted to be around him..."
One of the big chipmunks reached over and grabbed Allen, tearing him away from his brothers. Tilford and Sullivan cried out, but they were held back by two other huge chipmunks.
"This is the end!" Allen cried as the big chipmunk glowered over him, seeming hungry enough to take his meatless form.
Mouth opened...reaching toward the leader of the chipmunks...
"Hands off Allen!"
They all turned to see, standing before them, were Chunk and Stretch. The rock monster glared menacingly at the live chipmunk holding Allen.
"Oh, boy, you better put him down!" Stretch warned the big chipmunk sassily. "Or momma is going to whoop you so heard your nuts will be cracking in on themselves!"
But, being live chipmunks, they didn't listen and they scurried at the two adult toys.
"Chunk, honey?" Stretch said as she casted a cool glance at him.
Chunk held a firm, knowing smile. "Let's rock."
And they both let out a battle cry before they rushed at the living chipmunks. For two toys, they were pretty rough as they took on the entire army that had closed in on the chipmunks. But they were plastic, no life could be taken from them, and because of their special features, they had quite the advantage as they attacked chipmunks left and right.
The toy chipmunks, now left alone, cheered them on. Then, from the corner of Allen's eye, he saw the tiny chipmunk try and scurry off.
"Oh, no, you don't!" He retorted before he rushed over and grabbed it by its tail. It squeaked in protest as Allen firmly held it its tail onto the ground. "This is for my brother!" And he gave a swift kick to its stomach before stomping on its feet. Then he yanked on its tail, receiving a painful protest in response.
Finally, Allen turned it around and he kicked it right in its bottom. The live chipmunk flew a feet across the forest, then it landed on the ground. It weakly got up, stumbling on all fours.
"Never mess with a toy!" Allen shouted, standing up in triumph.
"Chunk!" He turned to see his brothers watch in shock. He looked to see that one big chipmunk bit unto Chunk's arm...the one that Allen caused to fall off.
"Oh, heck, no!" Stretch shouted before she stretched her long arms and sent a punch to the big chipmunk, making it release Chunk.
"Eww..." He groaned as he wiped saliva from his arm. He smiled at Stretch. "Thanks, Stretch."
"Anytime, baby," Stretch said, returning his smile.
Soon, the living chipmunks all scurried off in retreat, the little one that Allen had beaten up was the first to leave.
"Yeah, and don't come back!" Chunk shouted as he and Stretch stood close.
"Chunk!" The chipmunks exclaimed.
The rock monster turned and he smiled as he finally saw his boys face-to-face, safe.
"You came back to look for us..." Tilford said quietly, gazing at him with his big, green, innocent eyes in amazement.
"Well, of course..." Chunk chuckled. "I mean, you guys are my family, and I was really worried and missed you guys..."
The chipmunks gasped.
"Okay, hold the phone..." Sullivan began, trying to contain his shock. "Did he just call us his family? And that he missed us?"
Tilford just smiled at Chunk. "I missed you, too, Chunk..." And with that said, the tiny chipmunk scurried over and embraced the rock monster toy. Chunk smiled as he rubbed his head gently.
"So did I..." Sullivan confessed as he scurried over and embraced him as well. "Except Allen...he says he didn't you..." And he casted a mocking stare at Allen, who stood before them.
"Well, uh..." Allen began, tracing the ground with a foot. "On the other hand..."
"Spit it out, sugar," Stretch told him, giving him an encouraging smile.
Then Allen's eyes widened. "Okay!" He squeaked loudly. "I missed you, Chunk! I. Missed. You." His knees were buckling as he held his head in his hands to keep from spinning as he rambled on. "And leaving Sunnyside had to be one of the dumbest things to do! And I missed you! I love you, Chunk!" And he gazed at the rock monster toy, giving a nervous smile after realizing what he just said.
Everyone just stared at the chipmunk. Then Chunk just gave him a smile and a hearty laugh.
"Come here, son," he said, motioning him to his embracing brothers.
Smiling excitedly, Allen scurried over and wrapped his arms around Chunk's arm, the one that had been securely placed back on by Stretch. He gazed at it worriedly.
"Don't worry..." Chunk assured him gently. "Losing this arm was nothing compared to losing you guys..."
And Allen nearly teared up. Stretch watched, placing an arm across her heart as she gazed at the loving family moment. Without a word, she came over and embraced them all.
They all stood in that position for a while. Finally, Tilford spoke.
"Can we go home now?"
"Oh, right," Chunk chuckled before they all broke away from the group hug.
"Well, you got your family back," Stretch told him with a small smile.
"Our family..." Chunk corrected softly as he large, rocky hand found her arm and held it firmly but gently.
Stretch's eyes widened before she gazed at Chunk. He just smiled at her.
"So, uh..." Allen began, breaking the moment. "How do we get home?"
"There's a picnic going on," Stretch informed, not tearing her eyes away from Stretch. "We can hitch a ride on one of the people."
"Aw, can't we just hot-wire the car and I drive?" Allen asked meekly. "And I'm sure no one will notice if I park it on top of Sunnyside!"
"Oh, I want to try the brakes!" Sullivan added.
"And I like to beep the horn!" Tilford added.
Chunk chuckled as he held Stretch's arm as they walked down the forest with the chipmunks ahead of them. "I don't really think that would be-"
"Or we can mess with the driver and make him believe he's talking to his conscious and will tell him to drive us wherever we want!" Allen added.
"Allen-" Chunk began.
"Or we can knock out the driver as soon as he puts the engine to start!"
"Allen-"
"Or we can break in, grab someone's wallet, then use their cards to get us some fancy limo ride and knock out the limo driver! That way, Sunnyside won't need a bus anymore!"
"ALLLLLLLENNNNNN!"
