The three Saiyans descended upon a vast wasteland with a number of mountains overlooking the distance. Sui-San, hand on hip, stepped forward and studied it.
She nodded. "This will do. Collateral damage in Saiyan training is likely. Nothing important looking around here."
Goku smiled. "Great! So, should we start?"
"Not quite yet." Sui-San said, glancing back at her youngest nephew. "Before we begin any combat training, there is something important you must teach us."
Goku quirked an eyebrow. "Oh? What's that?"
Sui-San crossed her arms. "I noticed that you and the other humans are somehow capable of sensing energy. I wan't you to tell me how, tat way I can decipher my opponent's power level in battle without having to use a scouter."
Raditz spoke up. "She makes an excellent point, Kakarot. The scouters are useful, but only to an extent. Plus, it will give us an edge against Vegeta and Nappa."
Goku thought about it, then shrugged. "I guess. Shouldn't take to long."
Sui-San smiled. "Great. Let's get started."
It had already been a full month, and Goku was already getting exhausted. Training with Sui-San and Raditz had been much more intense than he had anticipated. In contrast to Goku's use of martial arts, Sui-San and Raditz followed a more brutal method of combat that was more militaristic in nature. Raditz was clearly more of a soldier than either of them, yet Sui-San had recieved special training from many major figures on Planet Vegeta before its destruction. She trained under her husband, the mightiest Saiyan to exist at the time of her rule. She even trained under Bardock, who, despite being labeled as a third class, was a capable warrior, who had experienced many unique fighting styles from many different races he encountered in his travels. He was willing to share these methods to Sui-San, not only because she was the sister of his wife, but because he held no real animosity towards her.
Unlike the animosity she held towards him at the time. But her opinions had changed as of recently, and she was content with that.
Goku's power level had increased in his training, and he was getting closer to Raditz's power when he had first arrived on Earth. Sui-San, however, continued to rise higher, outclassing her nephews greatly.
About two weeks into the training, Piccolo had joined the three, much to Raditz's chagrin, and proved to be a good sparring partner. Sui-San and Piccolo got off great. While their ideals were different, they both held great respect for each other in terms of combat experience. Piccolo, while nowhere near as strong as Sui-San, did no the basics of fighting, and that was enough for Sui-San to like him.
One day, Goku had decided to bring Gohan to watch, as the boy was getting bored sitting at home studying while his grandfather was snoring on the couch.
While Gohan sat safely on a rock, he watched with interest as his father, uncle, great-aunt, and the Namekian went at it. He jumped when his Uncle Raditz was sent flying, smashing against the larger rock he was sitting next to. Raditz grumbled as he pulled himself out of the stone, and glanced at Gohan.
Gohan smiled. "Hi, Uncle Raditz."
Raditz just grunted, and then flew off back to join the spar. When he reached them, he clashed fists with Goku, while Sui-San was trading blows with Piccolo.
"You know, Kakarot, that son of yours has some potential." Raditz grunted as he blocked a fist from his brother. "His power level is large, even for a child. You should consider training him."
Goku grunted. "I know. I want to, but Chi-Chi doesn't want him to be a fighter. She's always making him study, wanting him to be smart."
"Hmph." Raditz said, glancing at his nephew. "How wasteful. His heritage would make him a fine warrior, and given what's happening now, we could use it."
"No."
The brothers blinked and looked over to see Sui-San, who had overheard their conversation, and delivered a slap that sent Piccolo flying. She was now glaring at her nephews, arms crossed.
"Huh?" Goku said, puzzled. "Why not?"
Sui-San sighed, rubbing her forehead. "Kakarot, I realize your son has power. A lot of it, even for his age. But he's only four years old. He's not ready to get involved in a live or die situation."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Raditz said, glaring. "Vegeta and I both started training when we were two! And we became great warriors."
Sui-San sneered. "Really? You were forced to grow up without even a year's worth of childhood, working through blood and tears to become vicious, planet destroying beasts. You became warriors, yes. But look where you're standing now, Raditz."
Raditz glared, but Sui-San wasn't done. "I made the mistake of letting Vegeta fight at a young age, and look what happened to him. I saw the signs when he was younger, even though I tried to deny it. He was changing. He wasn't my son anymore. He was becoming a monster I wouldn't be able to recognize. And honestly, if you exposed Kakarot's son to the same events as Vegeta did, who's to say he won't come out different?"
The group was silent for a moment, Sui-San's glare not leaving her face. Eventually, Goku rubbed the back of his head. "I guess... I guess you've got a point there, Sui-San. Yeah, okay. We won't train Gohan if you don't want us to."
Sui-San was about to nod with approval, when she felt something tugging at her leg. She looked down to see Gohan standing below her with big, hopeful eyes.
"Mrs. Sui-San?" Gohan said. "Can't I please train with you guys? I want to be strong just like my daddy. I promise I won't be bad. Honest."
Sui-San sighed. "Child, I really don't think..."
"Pleeeeaase?" Gohan begged.
Sui-San's eye twitched. Damn that's cute. But no, I can't. I won't let him...
"Aw, come on your majesty. Just let him fight. He's a good kid."
Sui-San blinked, and then glared over at the green hologram of Denzil. Denzil just smiled. "Mind your own business, Denzil! And how the hell did you turn on by yourself?"
Denzil shrugged. "I dunno."
Sui-San growled and flipped off the device. She looked back down at Gohan, who was still staring with those puppy-dog eyes.
Eventually, Sui-San gave up. "Alright, fine. Raditz!"
Raditz jumped, and looked over at his aunt. Sui-San pointed at Gohan. "You'll train the boy."
Raditz blinked. "Wha-Me?! Why me?!"
"Quit whining." Sui-San said, rolling her eyes. "It'll give the two of you some bonding time. But if you start to get to hard on the boy, I'll kick your ass. Now get to it."
Raditz grumbled, and grabbed the neck of Gohan's shirt, flying off with him. Goku glanced at Sui-San. "You sure that was a good idea?"
"No." Sui-San said, then smiled at her nephew. "But I've always had a weakness for children."
"Unidentified spaceship in range. Approaching with caution."
On the bridge of the Planet Trade ship, Captain Durio, a fat, red skinned Spikariant, sat wedged in the captain's chair of his vessel. Outside his ship, he watched as a much smaller scout ship floated towards the enormous, pyramid-like ship that his scout team had recently come across.
"Understood." Durio said through his scouter.
The group had discovered a mysterious signal in this system a few hours prior, and when they went to investigate, they were surprised at what they found. A large pyramid shaped satellite, silver, metallic, and massive in size and scope. It was giving off some sort of energy field, and when Durio's ship passed through it, it dropped, and the pyramid suddenly started glowing with a red pulse.
One of the crewmembers, a purple skinned Xeno-seijin, gulped as he watched the scout ship draw closer. He glanced up at his captain. "Captain Durio, I'm not so sure about this. What if the ship is dangerous?"
"Then it's probably something Lord Frieza will be interested in." Durio said, glaring down at the subordinate. "If Lord Frieza learns that we have neglected to explore a possible trove of valuable items, he would be displeased. Do you want that, soldier?"
"N-no, Captain. Of course not." The Xeno-seijin stuttered. "I just..."
"Captain." Another soldier said. Durio glanced over at this soldier, a pink-skinned Brench with blonde hair. He was seated at a terminal, studying it with furrowed eyebrows. "I just finished deciphering part of the signal. It looks like a... like a warning."
"A warning?" Durio said, surprised. "Of what nature?"
"I'm not sure." The Brench said. "But I recognize the coding of this signal. It's a Saiyan language."
"Saiyan?" The Xeno-seijin from before spoke up. "But I thought Planet Vegeta was destroyed?"
Durio huffed. "Well it would seem some of their technologies survived." Durio tapped his scouter again. "Salvage team, we've confirmed the ship's origin. It's a Saiyan vessel. Enter and find whatever may be valuable."
"Yes, sir." The feed was cut then. The crew looked at the captain in surprise.
The Brench soldier tried to speak. "But, captain, the warning-"
"Bah. Whatever's on that ship cannot possibly be harmful." Durio said dismissively. "The Saiyans must have been trying to hide valuable treasures before they were wiped out. Foolish idea."
"But..."
"Captain? Captain Durio, do you copy?"
Durio immediately tapped his scouter. "This is Durio. What's your status?"
"We've entered the ship, but something is wrong." The voice in the scouter said.
"What do you mean?" Durio said, frowning.
"We're inside, but there's nothing here. It's just an empty room! We can barely even see-Wait. I see something."
Durio lifted an eyebrow. "What?"
"Some kind of terminal. It looks ancient, but it's still active."
There was a long moment of silence, as Durio and his crew watched the ship from their bridge. The pyramid shaped vessel continued to pulse with red light, and it was making Durio and his crew anxious. Suddenly, without warning, the spherical ship shook violently, letting out a large shockwave of red that struck Durio's ship, causing it to swivel and veer backwards. The crew panicked briefly, but was able to get it back in gear.
From his seat, Durio stood up, glaring as he activated his scouter. "What the hell just happened? Answer me soldier!"
"I-I don't know, Captain!" The scared voice of the soldier said. "One of the other crewmembers just activated the terminal. I don't-Hold on. Something's happening."
Durio blinked, and there was suddenly a large blue light as Durio gazed at the ship in the distance, which was now glowing blue. "What the hell?"
Suddenly, the salvage crew paged in, but Durio could barely hear it, as it was clouded with static. "Captain? Captain we *ZZZZZ*... we... *ZZzzZT. we can see... someone... *ZZZZZ* Cap... Oh god no!... *ZZYZYT*" The feed was abruptly cut, but the crew was puzzled, unable to make out any of it. The crew was starting to look scared, and their expressions grew even more nervous when they saw that the ship was actually starting to move towards them slowly.
"Captain." The Brench said, wide-eyed. "I've completely deciphered the transmission. The Saiyans weren't using this ship to store cargo."
"What were they using it for?" Durio said, looking nervous now.
The Brench turned to the Spikariant captain. "It's a prison ship."
Durio blinked. "For what?"
Suddenly, the blue light from the Saiyan vessel dimmed slightly, and the crew looked out to see that a hatch had opened beneath the vessel. Durio was surprised when he was a figure standing at the edge of the platform. The figure gazed at the Planet Trade ship for a few moments, before racing at it at superhuman speed.
"What the-"
The Planet Trade shook violently as the mysterious figure flew at it and broke through the side and infiltrated it. The crew started panicking as the Planet Trade vessel was rocked back and forth as the attacker made their way up through.
"Captain, what do we do?" The Xeno-seijin said fearfully.
Before Durio could answer, he there was a large explosion out of the floor. The Planet Trade soldiers who were standing near it were blown in different directions, and Durio looked to see the figure fly out of the hole, and land on the ground near him with a thud.
The figure was female, Durio could tell, and she was wearing old Saiyan battle armor that was black and red in color. Her face was concealed by a breathing helmet, but he could see her dark eyes glaring daggers at him through the visor. Suddenly, the woman grunted as she felt small ki blasts strike her in the back, and she wirled around to see the Planet Trade soldiers all firing at her. With great speed, the woman dashed towards one of them, and drove her hand right through his chest. The lizard-like alien gagged in agony as he fell down dead, and the woman wrenched her fist out of him and then brought it back, striking another soldier right in the face and sending them flying into the wall.
The woman batted away several ki blasts thrown her way and dashed at one of the soldiers, a bird-like Litt, slamming her foot into his chest and knocking him away. She swiftly grabbed one by the throat and hurled him into the nearest one. She turned her glare to the cowering Xeno-seijin, who tried to flee from the room, but screamed in agony as a searing red blast of ki atomized him completely.
The woman huffed when she sensed another ki blast headed her way, and zipped away just in time to avoid it. She dashed over to the attacker, the Brench, and grabbed his head by both sides, twisting it around, breaking its neck. With a simple tap of her finger, the vicious woman tipped the dead Brench over. Having slaughtered the crew, the woman turned towards Captain Durio.
Durio backed away as she appraoched him, and quickly raised his hand to fire a ki blast, but the woman quickly lifted her finger and fired a small red ki beam that actually blasted off Durio's entire forearm.
Durio howled in agony as he held his stump of a hand, and then gagged as the woman grabbed him by the throat, lifted him up with ease, and then slammed him into the wall. Durio watched as the woman removed her helmet, revealing a pale white face, ruby-red lips, black-soulless eyes, and short, black hair.
She glared at Durio, and increased her grip. "The Queen. Where is she? What happened to the Saiyan patrol team guarding this vessel?"
"Queen? What queen? I don't know what you're talking about!" Durio said fearfully. This woman was clearly mad.
The woman looked puzzled at his response, but her glare quickly returned. "This ship. It's Planet Trade, yes? The design is different though. What's the current date, Spikariant?"
"Wha...?" Durio said confused, but hissed when he felt the girl dig her fingernails deep into his flesh.
"What year is it, dammit!?"
"AH! A-Age 761!"
The woman's eyes grew wide for a moment, and then her snarl returned as she brought her fist back and nailed Durio right in the face. The force of her punch left a deep crater in the Spikariant's face as his skull caved in, and the woman let his twitching body fall to the floor. With a frustrated grunt, she glanced around, spotting a computer terminal.
She smirked in satisfaction when she saw that the last user was still logged on, and started searching through the Planet Trade's records. She frowned slightly at some of the information she got, and one piece of info caused her eyes to go wide.
"Planet Vegeta? Gone?" She said, then snarled. "Typical Arcosians. Choosing to destroy true power rather than accept it."
The woman continued to search through the records, and soon came across something that warranted her attention. Once she finished reading it, she smiled evilly. "Interesting. Looks like I have some catching up to do."
With that, the woman left the ship, taking a lone space pod that was left in the main hanger, and left the now dead Planet Trade ship to drift aimlessly.
A/N: Hey, chapter seven done! Sorry. I know it's been a while, but don't worry. I haven't given up.
