Thanks to the reviews and to those who helped me with the facts xD

I messed up so let's say it's VERY early in the morning; like 6:30 am; (after the fight) the sun's barely rising when the gunshot goes off.

Lawl. I'm sorry Cx

Disclaimer: I dont own Tarzan .-.

Summary: What if Sabor had found a child, wrapped in Leopard print and raised her as her own?

Chapter 6: Humans

When Kala, Tarzan, Terk, Tantor and I where walking we heard a loud bang. My head snapped up, the tears and my swollen eyes now gone. My eyes widened and I looked at Kala who had stopped.

"Kala. Take Terk and Tantor home, I want to go check this out." I told her, pulling away from them, "Tarzan, you plan on coming?" I gave a half-smile, feeling like my old self again. I was still really upset and grief-stricken but I was doing my best to hide it, and I felt I was doing a good job at it too.

"Sure. I'll follow right behind, Mother go on we'll be alright." he hugged Kala and she gave us a look before turning and leading Tantor and Terk away.

"Come on." I said, bouncing from foot to foot before taking off at a run into the underbrush, expecting him to follow behind me. I heard his steps once before they disappeared and when I looked up above me, I saw that he was swinging in the trees. I laughed as I ran, still looking up, my limbs no longer hurting as an adrenaline rush began pumping through my blood. I took a leap and jumped into the tree in front of me and climbed before running along the thick branches, jumping between trees, using the tactic my mother had taught me when I had told her running on the ground was getting boring at age 12. I surprisingly had rather good balance making it easy for me to stay steady on my wobbly legs as I ran at full speed, alongside Tarzan who kept swinging, jumping to catch the next vine.

I slid along the moss that was stuck to the tree limbs and I gave a whoop of joy when I jumped off the slick branch and onto the next.

"Stop!" I heard Tarzan yell out. I stuck my arms out and grabbed onto a vine that was hanging above me and it slid me to a halt along the branch.

"What is it?" I questioned, pushing my hair out of my face. I felt the tips of my filthy hair run along my legs. I needed a bath bad, but it'd have to wait.

"There's...something there." He mumbled and slowly made his way through the branches and leaves. I jumped across to the tree he was on, silently, and walked over behind him, peeking under his arm since I was short enough.

"...I knew I was born for Africa, and Africa was created for-" I heard a voice. It was a man's, it had a strange sound to it, not like mine or Tarzan's, but unique. I looked over to Tarzan and saw him staring intently through the trees, paying me no mind.

I slipped away and climbed higher into the tree - my feet not making a sound - and then I slithered quietly along the branch and peered down, my ears still picking up the voices talking.

I heard something rustle and I looked down, seeing Tarzan had disturbed a leaf. I got a look at the man, dressed in a weird bright color, he held something metal and brown out, pointing it straight at Tarzan. I saw Tarzan lean backwards and I gave a low growl at the new threat.

"Clayton, Clayton, there you are, what is it? What is it? Are we in danger?" Another male voice said. I saw him run over, his weird head device bouncing as he did.

The bigger man - Clayton - put the metal object downward and turned to answer the old man, "I thought I saw something." He grunted out. I curled my lips back, not liking this man near instantly.

"A hippopotamus amphibious, or a rhinoceros-" the old man said quietly peeking closer. I leaned forward on the branch, careful not to make noise. I gripped the branch with my claws so I wouldn't slip off.

"Professor, don't move!" Clayton snapped.

The old man - Professor - froze in a strange position, "Oh, right."

"Daddy? Ow. Daddy, what's all the hullabaloo about? What is it, Daddy?" A female said. I blinked, feeling my eyes widen, as I saw her. She had a strange, looking outfit, the color was the same as Clayton's maybe a bit darker and more abundant. She was awful pretty in my eyes.

I snuck a peak down at Tarzan and saw him staring at her, his posture frozen, but ready to flee at the first sign of danger; then I turned my attention back to the growing group of people.

"I didn't hear anything, are you sure you're not making anything up Clayton." Another voice said. This one was male as well. When he walked over my eyes near widened at the sight of him.

He was... beautiful just like Tarzan. He had hair the same color as him, but maybe a bit lighter, blue eyes, and he was dressed in a dark material, it was green like the moss that grew on the old trees. He had the same color cloth on his chest, but his arms where exposed.

"I am pretty sure I heard something, Jack. It came from over here." Clayton grumbled, pointing the shiny thing back towards Tarzan before pulling it away when the woman spoke up again.

"Uh, Mister Clayton, sorry, excuse me, uh, but my father and I came on this expedition to study gorillas, and I think your shooting might be scaring them off." She said, raising a paw partially up in the air.

"You hired me to protect you, Miss Porter, and protect you I shall." Clayton grunted out.

"And you're doing a marvelous job of it, but we only have a short time before the ship returns, and you see-" She was explaining, but got broken off when Professor spoke up - quite quickly. -

"Jane, Jane, do you realize what you're standing in? A gorilla's nest!" He shouted. I frowned and leaned downward more, using my arms and legs to keep me steady as I peered downward. My hair fell over my shoulder, so I quickly pulled it back with one paw before grabbing back onto the branch.

"Oh, Daddy!" The woman - Jane - shouted, clasping her hands together, "Jack do you see this?!" She squeaked, looking over to the beautiful man - they looked very similar it was rather strange - and gave him a big smile. The mane - Jack - gave a nod and laughed.

"At last! Our first sign in days! Do you think the beasts could be nearby?" Clayton spoke up. His whole face lit up in a sick delight and he called the gorillas 'beasts'. I bared my teeth at that. Sure, they weren't my family, but that was plain rude. My mother taught me that being rude got me nowhere, if I needed to survive that was.

"Well, they could be. There's the evidence, you know." Professor shrugged, peering down at the nest.

"Daddy, look! Over there and there and-" Jane squeaked, pointing to the different nests that where scattered around the small, open area.

"Yes! More nests! I see them!" Professor shouted, raising his paws in the air.

"Just as you predicted! Jack isn't this exciting?!" Jane again shouted, turning to Jack.

"It is very exciting sis. But I'm more into the predators, like jaguars and panthers." He chuckled, sticking his paws into those weird cloth things on his legs.

"You know what this was right? Family groups!" Jane and Professor shouted.

"Oh Jane and Jack I love you both my children!" He said happily, pulling the two into a big hug. I watched the scene and a small laugh escaped me, but it wasn't heard over the happy voices coming from below.

"Family groups? Excuse me, but these are wild animals that would sooner take your head off than look at you!" Clayton argued, breaking up the happy moment. I snarled, but one look from Tarzan shut me up and I fell silent.

"On the contrary, Mister Clayton. Daddy's theory is that these are social creatures-Mister Clayton, please! What if it's a gorilla?" Jane said, but then sighed as Clayton again pointed the metal object towards Tarzan, but he slowly drew it upward towards me. I growled low and then backed up into the tree slowly and quietly, careful not to make a sound.

"It's no gorilla. Perhaps we should press on." Clayton suggested, slowly putting the object down, his eyes narrowing as he stared up into the tree.

"Yes indeed. Now we should keep heading west..." Professor said, putting a paw under his chin and scratching it.

"That sounded like a growl. Maybe it's a jaguar, that would be so cool!" Jack shouted, raising his paws in the air. I gave a small giggle before covering my mouth.

"If it is, we best be going before it attacks. Come on, lets start heading off." Clayton grumbled, leading the group of three away.

When they where far enough, I slid out of the tree and down to the ground below. Tarzan jumped down next to me and I observed the nests.

"You guys stood here?" I questioned, squatting down in one of the nests, feeling the slightly stale material.

"Awhile back. We didn't stay for long, Kerchak was uneasy about it." He replied, picking something up from the floor.

"What is that?" I asked, standing on my tiptoes to see what it was, he was holding. He pulled the bright lid off and looked inside.

"It's something bright red." He told me, twisting it. When he did the red stuff came out and we both stared at it.

"It's so pretty." I gasped. Tarzan laughed before he smelled it and licked the tip. After he did, he coughed and spit it out. I started laughing and took it from him. I examined it and put the tip to the top of my left paw. I drug it down and saw it left a red trail.

"It marks!" I gave a shout of triumph. Tarzan watched as I drew a bunch of lines down my arm and I laughed. I also got Tarzan on the chest leaving a red spot. But then I handed it back to him and he put the cap thingy back on.

"Do you know who those things where?" He asked me, frowning.

"I think... I think they where... People. Like me and like you. My mother told me a story about humans before, she said they walked on two feet, wore strange looking clothing, had weird ways of talking, used strange objects and that they couldn't understand animals. But I'm not to sure 'cause I've never seen one in real life." I said, tapping my bottom lip, one of my canines sticking out.

"People? How odd." he commented.

"So very odd. The boy with the light hair and pretty eyes reminded me of you." I giggled, imagining what that Jack looked like once again and how he had a similar stature to Tarzan, "the girl was pretty too, wasn't she Taaaaarzan." I teased.

"She was." He nodded, giving me a funny look. I snorted and shoved him.

"Let's follow them yeah? Or should we get back." I asked, puffing my cheeks up.

"We can go back and then leave later on to check in them. I have a feeling I know where they're going." he said.

"They said... West... I know exactly where they're going." I said, covering my mouth. Sabor had once told me, we lived West from the gorilla trail. I never knew what she meant, well until now.

"Where?" Tarzan questioned.

"Where I used to live... They can't go their! Nooka's still around." I fretted, running my hands threw my hair.

"Whose Noo-ka?" He asked.

"A big, panther. He tried killing me and my mother when I was little." I told him, opening my mouth to draw in a scent.

"Should we stop them?" Tarzan said, putting a paw on my shoulder.

"The baboons should... The baboons!" I yelled, my paws flying to my cheeks.

"They could be a problem. Come on, you can lead since you now this part better than I do." Tarzan told me. I gave a nod and followed the path the four people went, my hair was whipping back and forth as I ran.

Baboons could be terrible bastards.

"Jeez you lived in the worst part of the jungle." Tarzan commented as he torn down another spiderweb.

"It was the safest place for my mom to raise me without a chance to be attacked. Not many animals came here, one for fear of my mom and two the undergrowth was to dense for most of them to get through." I explained as my eyes flit through the thick underbrush, looking and finding the holes that hadn't grown over yet. I crawled through them easily; my smaller size and lithe frame making it easy for me to fit; I heard Tarzan grunting behind me, since he was bigger and broader so it was harder for him to fit.

"This is impossible. Being in the trees would be better." He grumbled out.

"Ssh, you hear that?" I said, my paw going to cover his mouth as we stood in a small clearing. I looked around the small clearing, seeing the claw indents in the tree bark from my climbing schemes. I saw the small cave I used to fit in to hide when my mother had to do something important.

"No..." Tarzan said, his brow furrowing.

I rolled my eyes and gave a sigh, "Listen harder. You have to learn to block out certain sounds so your sense of hearing isn't distracted. That was rule number one according to my mother." I said holding a finger in the air.

Tarzan closed his eyes and listened. I squatted down pinpointing where the sound was coming from, "I hear it. It's coming-" "North. That's the way." I finished Tarzan's sentence, standing straight.

"Let's hop to it!" I shouted, raising a paw up. Tarzan gave a nod and we continued on forward. Tarzan jumped into the trees after he got stuck a few more times.

I climbed over fallen trunks, through bushes and under decaying logs. Tarzan was jumping along the branches and swinging on vines occasionally.

Then I heard a scream. A very feminine one at that. I looked up at Tarzan and saw him looking down at me. We shared a thought baboons.

"We have to go save her." He said. I gave a nod and climbed into the tree next to him. We ran along the thick branches as the sound of snarling, growling came closer and much louder.

I saw the yellow blob of Jane's strange outfit as she came running through the underbrush. I saw the very large and very angry hoard of baboons running behind her, nearly catching up, "Go get her Tarzan!" I yelled. Tarzan gave a nod and jumped down from the tree we where on. I followed after him, catching onto the vine behind him.

He swung across them, narrowly missing the baboons below. I swung behind him, still a bit shaky at using the vines, since I preferred running instead. Tarzan was swinging himself as fast as he can.

"Tarzan the gap!" I yelled above the screaming of the baboons. Sabor had taught me how to jump that gap, I had only succeeded in doing it three times, the other tries I usually under jumped and got stuck hanging off the edge.

Tarzan gave a subtle nod as he swooped himself low as the gap neared. I saw Jane run and try to jump across it, "Catch her. Catch her. Catch her." I prayed aloud. Tarzan grabbed the back of her yellow fabric and swung her across the gap. He didn't let go even when the gap was far behind.

I swung behind them as the baboons followed over the jump. I saw one attached to her paw and I snarled at it. The baboon caught my eye and got distracted, which allowed Jane to kick it off, loosing her paw pad in the process - I wondered if that hurt. I heard her scream when she saw Tarzan and I snorted. Then Tarzan swung himself into the air, letting go of the branch and Jane, only to catch her and land on a sturdy and thicker branch than before.

I rolled my eyes and swung to the foot of the tree and scurried up it as fast as I possibly could. I came to the beginning of the branch and gave deep breaths, my nostrils flaring as I took deep breaths in to slow my heart rate. I walked forward and saw her screaming, "Put me down. Put me down!" She yelled, sliding out of his grasp. I snapped my head to the left, hearing the baboons again, "No, pick me up. Pick me up!" She jumped back into his arms as they came up through the leaves.

I gave a throaty snarl and looked at Tarzan, "Go Tarzan! I'll catch up." I promised. Tarzan gave a nod and took off out of the tree and down the spiral. I bared my teeth and gave a snarl at the baboons. They slowed momentarily seeing who I was and that gave me the chance to jump out of the tree. I jumped down off the edge and free fell for quite awhile before I struck my paws out and grabbed onto the branch to swing myself up behind Tarzan who was still slipping and sliding through the tree. I felt the moss and gave a quick yell at the instability of it before I got the hang of twisting my back paws to keep the pattern of the branch. I looked behind us and saw the baboons had disappeared. I frowned and looked ahead, seeing the hoard running towards us on the branch.

Jane screamed and her weird paw thing opened up, pushing the baboons away and off the sides of the branches. She put it down and a laugh escaped her as she saw them disappear. But a big, lone baboon came jumping at her face. I jumped and stopped my sliding, the force of the sudden stopping tossing me above Jane. I heard her give a startled yell as the baboon came into contact with me. My added force caused me to push him down and I snarled at it before letting go. The baboon ran away yelling in fear. I near purred at scenting his fear-scent.

Tarzan swung himself down by the vine as still kept going. I followed shortly after. We swung deeper into the jungle as the baboons retaliated and continued their chase.

Why must they be so persistent!

I saw the light dim and when I looked up, the leaves and branches where getting thicker. I shook my head as a giant fallen log came up ahead. I grit my teeth as Tarzan jumped the log and landed on an upside down broken stump that split and forced him into a splitting position. I winced as I came to a sturdy branch not far from where he was.

I saw the baboons swarm the log and Jane continued to scream as Tarzan dove into the log. The baboons followed in, the decayed log not able to withstand the pressure of it and it began splitting in half. I could hear Jane's screaming as they fell from the log and down the large fall. I gave a quick gasp and jumped from my branch, sliding down the vine, ignoring the burning sensation I was getting on my thighs, stomach, paws and arms.

I dug my claws into the branch, nearly ripping them from all four of my paws as I stilled. Tarzan had jumped onto a branch a couple yards up from my vine I was hanging tightly onto. I felt my shoulders ripple as the adrenaline slowly faded away. My heart was racing, then Jane screamed and a shadow loomed. I looked up, seeing them jumping down as the broken tree from before came crashing through the branches. I closed my eyes as the wind from the log swished past me, narrowly missing me by mere inches. I felt my hair whip around as it landed on the jungle floor. The baboons mulled around it, giving us glares before jumping away.

I gave a big breath and looked across from me, Tarzan and Jane where standing apart on the short branch. I gave a whistle and Tarzan turned his head, "Is there enough space." I called, my eyes seeing Jane start to glide away. He shook his head before I swung and released from the vine, my upper body slamming into a branch that was slightly lower than the one he was on. I gave a groan at the impact before clambering on.

I climbed upward, a bit slower as my adrenaline faded and my limbs got heavy. I watched Jane as she tried to cross the branches. I climbed onto the tree across from her and sat myself down towards the beginning of the branch, watching her my eyes big with strange curiosity. She got stuck, her back paws on the branch I was sitting on and her paws stuck at the other. She was mumbling to herself when thunder rumbled and it started raining.

I covered my ears hearing the thunder. I hated it. Lightning I was okay with, but thunder was always present in my dreams. In my nightmares, I'd hear a terribly loud booming noise and then it'd fade before another boom sounded off. I didn't know what it was, but the first time I heard thunder after the nightmares I had become terribly afraid of it.

Tarzan came and pushed Jane back and she fell backwards, nearly crashing into me as I slipped to the side. Tarzan walked forward and I clawed my way under the branch and came up behind him, keeping myself half-hidden behind his frame.

She watched us as Tarzan came closer. She flinched and backed up, putting her back paw on his chest. He gripped it and played with her bare claws - it was strange - and she started laughing. I gave a purr of amusement and crawled forward, my shoulders moving up and down as I did so. I flared my nostrils taking in her scent. She smelled like water and wet leaves, but under it was a faint sweet smell I found lovely but strong.

I watched as Tarzan lifted the yellow thing and she kicked him. He stumbled back and crashed into me so I landed on my back, "Ow." I squeaked out, giving him a glare. Jane watched us, her paws clasped around her legs and her eyes where wide. I pushed past Tarzan, my hair falling down my back, down the sides and past my shoulders. My bangs covered my eyes partially as I looked at her. I tilted my head and sat down, my legs in a butterfly position. I leaned forward, smelling her scent.

I could understand only a few words she was saying, since she had a strange way of speaking. I leaned closer and she raised a paw, but Tarzan grabbed it before she could hit me. I backed up and pressed into Tarzan's chest, my smaller frame fitting their easily.

I saw him twist her paw and then pull the white fabric she had on it off. I felt my eyes widen when I saw her paw. They looked like ours, it was so strange, but yet amazing. I gave a small mew at the discovery.

Tarzan held her paw then let go as he moved his. I watched from where I sat as he put his paw to hers and placed it flat. It looked... good. I didn't know why, but it just looked natural. He removed his paw after the look of shock left his face.

Then he scooted around me and came towards her again. She laid back against the trunk, turning her head afraid. Then he placed his ear and side of his head to her chest between her breasts. I had learned from my mother that I shouldn't be touched there, because it wasn't right.

I gave a hiss and slapped at his arm. He ignored me before pulling back. He then brought her head to his chest so she could feel his heartbeat, I'd guess. I just sat and watched them interact, I licked the back of my paw and brought it to the side of my head to try and rid myself of some of the grime I had collected from earlier. I felt stinging and when I examined my thighs, they had large red streaks forming. The same was with my paws and arms. I had lines going down my exposed stomach.

"It's very nice." Tarzan spoke up. I snapped my head as she talked back.

"Oh thank you, I can't do a thing with it in this humidity though, it's-Oh, you do speak! And all this time I thought you were just a big wild quiet silent person, thing. Why didn't you tell me, I mean I must seem rather curious to you, I mean I'd love to-" She said getting cut off as Tarzan spoke up.

"Tarzan. Tar-zan and Sanura. Sa-nur-a." He said, pulling me over by the paw. I fell forward before sitting back up and scratching my head, one canine sticking out.

"Oh, I see." Jane said, her eyes lighting up. I started understanding her quicker than Tarzan, since she started speaking simpler and easier to understand.

"Oh, I see. Tarzan, Sanura, Ohisee." He said, giving a smile. I slapped my face and shook my head before looking at Jane.

"Jane, yes?" I said softly, blinking my light colored eyes at her.

"Jane. You speak?" She asked me.

I nodded my head and turned to Tarzan, "Name's Jane, Tarzan." I whispered gently, I turned back to her, "Little."

"Jane." Tarzan tried.

"Exactly." Jane smiled at him. Then a shot rang out and my head snapped around, as Tarzan scurried to the edge, grabbing a vine and hanging off it. I hadn't noticed it stopped raining and the sun was shining through the branches. The water was dripping off the edges of the leaves and branches, making the jungle glow with life when the sunlight hit a drop. I marveled at it's beauty before Jane spoke up.

"Clayton." Jane said. I looked at her a frowned.

"Man with the weird cloths?" I asked.

"Yes, him. Oh my what happened to you. You have burns." She said, a paw at her mouth.

I looked back at my legs and other parts, "Vine burns. It hurts." I shrugged, crawling forward.

"Clayton." Tarzan said happily.

"Can you take me to my camp? Yes, Clayton, wonderful!" Jane smiled as Tarzan came back. He looked at my burns and then lifted me onto his back. I gave a squeak in pain as my fresh burns rubbed against his back, I gripped my arms around his neck and wrapped my legs around his waist. He then held Jane in one arm as he grabbed onto a vine, "Um, we, can't we waaaaaaalk." Jane yelled as he swung off, the vine surprisingly supporting three people as he went through the brush.

I felt the rush of the wind as he jumped from vine to vine. Jane was still freaking out and I put a paw to her head. She turned her head and looked at me. I gave a smile and purred at her. She gave a slight smile.

This would be interesting.

Well, sorry for the late chapter.

And also sorry this is a crap chapter. Writer's block sucks tbh...

Also, Sanura catches onto speech patterns and learns words faster since she just kind of does...

Her fear of thunder comes from the plane crash. When the wing engine blew, it caused a really loud thunderous sound. So when she first heard the thunder, it reminded her of it. She was just a baby, but the sound stood with her and because of that she's terrified of it.

Sanura has a slight sadistic personality, since she LOVES fear-scent and it gets her excited and makes her want to fight. She also has slight mental instability.

She's shy around Jane at first since she's never really been this close to another human; besides Tarzan; Oh and Jane's a woman, so she's not used to seeing another female around. She doesn't like Clayton because he had something about him that instantly ticked her.

Like Nooka, she knows he's no good and she gets that vibe from Clayton.

Well. Yeeeeah. I hope y'all liked my crap chapter xD

I'll try and update sooner but I started my Sophomore year and lots of work.

Yay Pre-Calculus -.-
