"They're here together," Melinda told the group. "And not trying to kill each other," she added with a smirk. "Or anyone else."

Freddie and Leonard were in the room, but they didn't stand together – they were standing far from one another. Freddie was watching Sam as Leonard was looking at Marissa. They didn't want to give the other any sort of eye contact for things weren't set right in their stomachs. Especially the way they saw their wives covered black from the fire aftermath.

But most importantly...

...they knew what was coming next.

"Where?" Carly demanded to know. "Where is he hiding?"

Melinda slowly shook her head. "I'm sorry, but only I can see him. Would any of you like to say some last words?"

"What I still don't understand is why this all happened," Marissa was the first to ask a question.

It was my guilt of leaving you, Leonard walked over to stand in front of his wife. I was jealous of Fredward. Leo looked at his son who was angrily still watching his wife while hearing his father talk. I don't know why I did what I just did to Samantha. Anger got the best of me. He covered his eyes with a hand remembering Marissa couldn't hear him straight forward, so he extended his arms out to Melinda and she nodded her head.

"Guilt from the past," Melinda explained. "He was jealous of Freddie. Saw how Samantha reminded him of you, Marissa."

"But why did he have to kill Freddie?" Sam asked, her face already wet with all the tears, "Why take his anger out on my husband?"

It was a mistake, Leonard whispered. I didn't mean to kill him. The attack was meant for your mother.

"Well, that doesn't make it any better," Melinda said to Leonard.

I know. It was just a spark of the moment. I didn't think twice. I just missed Marissa and couldn't wait until she died of old age, so I tried to kill her myself. It was all stupid and I know I made a huge mistake. Anger got the best of me what can I say? He turned to his wife and smiled. I'm as psycho as she is I guess.

"He wanted to be with his wife again and anger got the best of him," Melinda translated. "He didn't mean to hurt Freddie – it just happened by mistake."

"Why can't he be with me forever?" Sam asked again and Melinda immediately shook her head.

"That's not how it works," Melinda tried explaining again. "He needs to move on. And so do you."

"Move on?" Sam repeated. "Doesn't he know how hard it's been?"

Of course I know! Freddie jumped to in front of Sam and she took a breath in, feeling a new present in front of her. Why do you think I tried so hard to find you? Freddie tried shaking Sam's shoulders, but his hands went right through her.

"He knew what you were feeling," Melinda softly said. "That's why he tried his best trying to find you, but he couldn't handle not being able to ask where you were, so that's why he called me."

"But he found me way before I heard you were in town," Sam mentioned. "Freddie was always with me. I knew that as a fact. I felt him with me and he gave me little clues around the house."

Melinda smirked. "But he wasn't able to talk to you. He needed to get me here somehow. Lying about not knowing where you were or what happened to do just was going to make me come here faster."

Freddie rubbed a hand on the back of his neck. So, you knew, huh?

"It wasn't really that hard."

"Does he really have to go?" Carly said between her tears and Melinda sadly nodded. Jim came closer to Melinda and grabbed onto one of her hands, holding it tight for he knew his wife was about to be in tears too.

"It's the right thing spirits should do," Melinda explained to the knew learners. "They can't float around here for eternity. But, hey, the Light is such a wonderful place. I heard such great things about it."

Carly nodded her head and Spencer placed his hands on her shoulders for support. Brad grabbed onto her waist to pull his wife in close to him and rested his nose against her cheek.

Freddie looked up at what was supposed to be the ceiling, but instead was the dark night sky, trying to keep his tears in. God she's so lucky to have someone to take care of her. He looked back down at his wife, holding onto the necklace she was given tight still watching Melinda. She's going to be all by herself for the rest of her life with no one to comfort her like Carly has Brad.

"We were just kids," Sam said between small laughs. "I remember I would always try to find a way to make his life miserable."

Freddie smiled, walking next to Sam. I knew she always had a crush on me deep down. Just the way we fought.

"Freddie always knew you liked him," Melinda decided to share. "But was afraid if he actually said something what you would say."

"The man I shared my first kiss with," Sam brought up. "The man I hated since the first grade. The man I never believed to even say "I love you" to. He was my first everything. My first," she broke again, looking at the ground as she was sobbing all over again. Freddie teared up too, watching his wife break down in front of him and couldn't do a thing, "and my last."

I hope you're happy, Freddie mentioned to his dad as he was forced to watch his wife cry. I really hope this was all worth it.

"Freddie, it wasn't your father's fault," Melinda tried to explain to the anger Fredward. "Your father did what he did because he was lonely in the world without your mother. You have him now and all you can do is move into the Light and wait for Sam there."

"What do you mean?" Sam asked, sniffing up the last few tears. "He's leaving?"

Melinda was going to answer, but Freddie interrupted. Tell them to start doing iCarly again.

"He wants you to do iCarly again," Melinda avoided Sam's question. "With Brad as the new producer."

"Me?" Brad questioned. "I don't know if I could."

Freddie walked over to his old pal that was pushed to the right side of the room. Everything he needs to know is in my journal under the cart.

"Everything you need to know is in a journal Freddie has kept. Besides you've done iCarly plenty of times you should know some things," Melinda said.

"I don't know if I could," Carly shook her head. "Not without Sam making fun of how Freddie should be holding the camera and not talking."

Sam actually smiled. "Boy, did I do that a lot."

Spencer cleared his throat and sniffed before saying, "You still better be watching over as the kids are doing their show. You better be front row seat up there."

Freddie smiled and nodded his head. He then looked back at his wife who had her eyes closed. He pressed his hand against hers, focusing energy to travel there and giving her wife an almost heart attack. She gasped and looked up at Melinda who only nodded her head.

"Freddie?" Sam called out in a question.

Freddie nodded his head and then moved to give Sam a kiss which she felt too.

I'll always be watching out.

Sam placed a hand on her mouth and started tearing once again.

"Is Leonard still here?" Marissa asked, giving her husband attention. "Is he still with us?"

"Leonard's been watching," Melinda answered, looking at the stairs that Leonard was sitting on, watching the group, "He's been quiet, but still with us."

What am I supposed to say? Leonard asked. I'm the bad guy here.

"You weren't the bad guy," Melinda clarified. "You just wanted Marissa after being so alone for such a long time. Just what you decided to do made you the bad guy."

"Honey, what Melinda is saying is true," Marissa yelled out into the room. "It wasn't your fault. Even if you did it for me don't do something like that ever again. That's not who you are. Even if we were fencing."

Yeah, she's right, Freddie followed up, walking to his father sitting on the stairs with guilt still stuck on his face. I mean, you did it for love. Something now we both can't have, but hey, it happened and there's no point on thinking about it.

"What did the fire have to prove thought?" Sam asked. "Was all this really necessary?"

Melinda shook her head. "Leonard just got a little bit carried away."

"A little?"Everyone had repeated in a question. Melinda had to bit onto her lip to keep from laughing at fact that everyone had said the same thing at the same time.

So, what now? Leonard asked, getting up from the remainder of the stairs. What do we do next?

Freddie looked out, what was supposed to be, the back kitchen door and brushed a hand against his father's chest to catch his attention. I think I know.

Leonard looked at Freddie's direction, and was starstruck at what he saw.

Freddie then looked behind him and gasped. Whoa. Melinda, do you see that beautiful light?

Melinda smiled and looked at the gang who kept quiet. "Freddie sees the light," she announced.

"What does that mean?" Marissa asked.

"He's going to have to cross over."

"And we're never going to see him again?" Spencer's voice cracked as he was still trying his best to keep his tears in.

Melinda shook her head. "Of course not. You all have something you hold deeply that reminds you of him."

And I'll always try my best to be looking over, Freddie looked up at Spencer.

"He says he's always going to look after everyone." Melinda looked at Sam. "Even you, Sam."

"I love you, nub," Sam removed her hand to say. "I'll always love you and only you." She slowly shook her head.

I'll wait for you up there, Freddie said as he started to slowly walk backwards towards the light shinning near the windows.

"I love you too, my Leonard," Marissa yelled.

Leonard smiled. Freddie and Leonard both turned around and was walking backwards to their future to take one good look at what they had to leave behind.

"Well?" Marissa asked, looking at Melinda and afraid on why she didn't say anything.

"Don't you want to say you love her too before you go?" Melinda asked Leonard who was already near the door.

She knows how much I love her, Leonard simply said.

Melinda nodded her head. "You don't need to hear his words." Marissa looked down. "You already know how much he loves you after all the care and support you...somewhat gave him and your son."

"I only did that to protect them," Marissa said at the same time Freddie and Leonard said, She only did that to protect us.

Marissa placed a hand on her heart. Sam came up to her and actually gave her a soft hug and surprisingly Marissa returned the hug to her daughter-in-law.

Suddenly a gush of wind ran around what was left of the house. Everyone felt the wind danced around their clothes and with one last look both Freddie and Leonard disappeared into the Light. When the wind died down, Melinda sniffed and Jim brought her in for a hug.

"He's gone."

Sam let go of Marissa and ran to Carly who opened her arms for her best friend. With their foreheads pressed together they couldn't help themselves, but cry all over again. Brad kissed the top of his wife's head and Spencer did the same for Sam before bringing his two girls in for a hug.

Marissa was only able to stare at the back door where her husband and son both left together.

"Goodbye my loves," Marissa whispered to herself. "And take care."
