Chapter 7
Ivy sat with Donnie in her room. She sat on her bed and he on an old beanbag. She had been in the lair a total of three times since her first, and Splinter seemed to like her. She and Bernie had hit it off good, but April hadn't been there any of the three times.
Donnie asked, "So, what's your family like?"
She looked down and said, "Well, my mom and dad had me when they were in high school, so they couldn't really finish school. And…I had a brother, but he went missing a few months back."
"What are their names?" He asked, a bit of fear showing through.
"My mom's name is Meggie, my dad's name is John, and my brother's name is…was Timothy, but everyone called him Tim."
"What was Timothy like?"
"He was very…geeky…not like me, he was…into sci-fi, and rambled on about things he saw all the time. He wasn't exactly strong up here," She pointed to her head, "But he was a nice, interesting guy."
"Was he tall, about 6 foot, had brown hair and eyes and spent a lot of time making a turtle costume?"
"Yeah…have you seen him?" She perked up.
"Y-you could say that…"
How do you tell your best friend that her brother is an organic glob of goo in your house that she thought was just another member of the Foot Clan mutated?
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well, uh, you know that glob mutant in my lab?"
Her eyebrows furrowed, "What? Is that…?"
Donnie became very interested in the floor.
"Donnie, is that mutant my brother?" She stood up.
He nodded slightly.
"What? What happened to him? How did he do that? Why? D-did he do it to himself, or did someone do it to him?"
"Well, Timothy first saw us when we fought on the roof near his – your – apartment. He thought that we were crime-fighters in turtle costumes; he decided to become one himself. He made his own turtle costume and calling himself "The Pulverizer", he tried to become a hero, even though he had no fighting skills at all...Months after seeing us for the first time, the Pulverizer finally met us in person. He sucked horribly at fighting. And, later on in the year, he tried to help us by going undercover with the Foot, and was bad at that too, and…he was mutated…"
Tears had begun streaming down her face. "Timmy…" She whispered…
XXXXX
Donnie walked into his lab and straight towards Timothy.
"Ivy's your sister!" He exclaimed at the glob.
"Ivy sister…" Timothy said through his voice box. "Who Ivy?"
"Your sister!" He pushed a picture of her at him. "Why didn't you tell me she was your sister?!"
"April O'Neil!"
"I don't care about April right now! Why didn't you tell me Ivy Ashton was your sister?!"
"I-v-y Ashton?"
"Yes, Ivy Ashton! Now she's gonna give me the cold shoulder like April did when we mutated her dad."
"No I'm not." He heard her say. He turned around and saw Ivy, standing there with her arms crossed. She approached Timothy.
"I don't think it was your fault." She said, putting her hand on the glass… "Timmy, what have you gotten yourself into now?"
She turned to Donnie, "Can you help him?"
"I ran out of retro mutagen. I had to un-mutate Karai and Bernie…but…I have some mutagen…I think…"
He pulled out a canister from deep in his never ending drawer of stuff and set it on the table.
"There we go…I can un-mutate him."
She looked at her brother, "All these months, and I thought that he was dead. How long will it take to un-mutate him?"
"A week, tops. I promise."
"Thank you."
Short but the next chappie is incredibly long! Also includes ANOTHER plot twist, kind of.
