Male: Magneto

Series: Post X Men Second class

She had always known she was different.

That she was special.

So did everyone around her, her childhood was riddled with bullies and cruel whispers. Her mother loved her regardless, she did her best to make sure she had a normal childhood.

Well, normal children did not see ghosts and monsters.

She did, and she could touch them and they her. She had the scars to prove it. Yet she took it all in stride, she was an old soul. She might only be fourteen but she had the life experience of the kind souls who took her under their wing.

There were three that had been with her since childhood. A woman and two males.

The female was named Sango and had instilled in her many useful things. Teaching her about youkai and their hierarchies. She viewed her as an older sibling and at times a motherly figure.

Then there was Miroku, he was a bit perverted but his knowledge about the spirit world and how to read people far out weighed it. He was the perverted older brother she never had.

Last was Inuyasha, he was a hanyou, and he had taught her how to survive off the land and defend herself. As well as a few choice words much to her mother's horror.

She had a vague feeling that they had all known each other in their past lives yet she never brought it up.

It was an unspoken agreement between them.

All she needed to know was that they cared about her and she them. So as they stood behind her urging her to listen to the male in front of her she could only stare.

He was tall and muscular, dirty blond hair and blue eyes that were like a mirror image of her own. He looked to be in his early forties, the stress lines around his eyes were deep. He had seen much hardship in his life, his aura was damaged and a wee bit tainted but its core was still pure.

Twisted but pure.

Despite his outward appearance of being calm and collected she could tell he was nervous. It seeped out of him and wrapped around her. She brushed it off, wanting to keep a calm and level head.

It wasn't every day that a well known mutant activist and human hater showed up at your door claiming to be your father. Honestly she knew it deep down, their auras were too similar for them not to be related. Yet she didn't know if she wanted to accept it.

If he was her father then why had he never been around? Why come forward now? What did he want from her?

As if sensing her thoughts he shifted his weight, shoving his hands in the dark gray slacks. "Look, I know it's hard to believe but I am your father." He paused to let that sink in even more.

"I only just found out about you, your DNA popped up in the known mutant data base as a match to mine." She blinked recalling an incident a month ago where she had been cornered by a youkai behind a local diner on her way home from school. She had been forced to defend herself and in the process had been injured.

Badly.

Her blood must have been collected by the government, they were obsessed with cataloging any and all mutants. She fumed, that was sloppy of her. Her family had left Japan in order to give her a fresh start here in America.

A fresh start she had just fucking blown.

"Shit." The mumbled word fell from her lips as she glared at the ground, the air becoming charged with her anger.

Erik froze, his instincts yelling at him to be on guard. While he didn't know her exact mutation he knew that this feeling had something to do with it. It was obvious she was powerful, he himself was an Omega level mutant, so he had no doubt she had just as much potential.

The fact that she was now on the top of the government's list upset him. While he had no idea she even existed until a while ago, he knew now. He would be damned if he let those filthy humans get their hands on her and run tests on her like some lab rat.

Hell he didn't put it past them to try to use her to get to him.

He would not allow it.

She looked so tiny, so fragile and innocent. Yet he could tell she was not a victim but a predator. It made him slightly proud. Even without him in her life she learned to protect herself. She was a fighter and she would be a great addition to his cause.

A cause which just became that much more personal. He wanted a world where mutants were not second class citizens but equal if not superior to humans. His daughter deserved more then having to hide her powers, her true nature, in fear of being outcast.

He did not want her to know the horror he knew as a child and yes, he was fourteen years too late, but he would make it up.

Whether she liked it or not.

Swallowing thickly she glanced behind her, as if gazing at someone he could not see. She held her gaze, emotions flickering across her face. He was puzzled yet didn't say a word until she turned to face him, a scowl on her lips.

"I believe you." Her words were grumbled as she crossed her arms under her budding bust and cocked a hip to the side. Looking much like the rebellious teenager she was supposed to be.

"So, now what?" The question hung in the air between the both of them.

Now what indeed.

Plan already forming he gave her a grin as he outstretched his hand to her. "Come with me, I can protect you. Train you, help you."

She gazed at his hand, weighing the pros and cons. Should she go with him she would have to leave her family behind. They had done so much for her, suffered so much because of her...

Yet the government knew what she was, who her father was, and would no doubt come after her. She could not put them in that kind of danger...no...if she went with her...father, god the word sounded so foreign to her, she would be protected.

Her family would be safe, they would be sad at first but they would move on and live normal lives.

Plus she wouldn't be alone she would have her friends with her, whether they could be seen or not by others was irrelevant to her. They had always looked after her and always would so if they thought she should trust him..then maybe she should?

What did she have to lose?

Besides a family that would be better off without her?

Shaking the thoughts from her head she met her father's gaze and lifted her hand and gently placed it in his. "Okay father. I'll go with you." The word felt even odder falling from her lips then when she said it in her head yet at the same time it made her heart skip a beat.

Erik could only smile a genuine smile, one he had not worn since his time with Charles, and curled his fingers around her much smaller hand. "Come lieber, we have much to catch up on and much more to do." She merely nodded as she fell in stride beside him.
