21 BBY
Vaxor woke up in his ship. He had extreme jet lag, and sleeping in combat robes didn't help matters. He saw that he was right above Christopshis. He navigated into the low atmosphere. He reached into the force, and found a large group of people and droids in the western sector of the planet. Vaxor landed his ship in the Crystalline Forests near the large CIS ship.
He walked up to the entrance, where some B1 droids asked for identification. He quickly dispatched them and forced the doors open. He strolled in, passing through hallways. His electric burn on his eye and Zabrak horns intimidated most of the Geonosian and Neimoidian guards, and any droids he found he quickly dismantled. He found a conference room, and began to wait.
He listened in, waiting for the boring stuff about planets and trade deals, until he heard Nute Gunray say, "We need a new enforcer, Dooku. Back when we had Ventress, she could go handle smaller matters. Now, all we have are droids and bounty hunters! We need another assassin!"
Vaxor then threw the doors open and said, "Hello, Gentlemen!" Poggle the Lesser fell out of his chair, and Nute Gunray started screaming, "How did he enter this room? Where are our guards?!" Count Dooku remained calm.
Vaxor replied, "Most of them are just scared out of their minds of me. With good reason. I have been trained in the dark side of the force by a third party. My power is great, and I could handle the smaller stuff you need done. My lightsaber skills are great, as I'm nimble and quick. And, since I'm just a teenager, no one will expect me to be able to kill."
Count Dooku eyed him warily. "Prove your power to me. Then I'll consider an alliance." Vaxor grinned. He closed his eyes and drew power. He then slammed it into the ground, creating a small shockwave. It threw some of the Confederacy leaders out of their chairs. Dooku smiled. "He's exactly what we need."
Kayla began to write in her hidden Diary.
I've been in the field for a few weeks. We've been fighting on Felucia for what seems like ages. I've met another Jedi, his name is Jaxon. He's cute, but I can't let anyone know that, because it's against the code to form attachments. Being a 14 year old hormonal Jedi is tough! The clones are nice, but when I saw one die, a large blaster hole in his chest, I thought she might vomit. I've become tougher with my time on the planet. Me and Jaxon have become teammates, friends, even. He's really sweet.
Kayla was interrupted by the Clone Captain, Dino. "Hey kid, get over here!" They were about to march on a new Separatist group that had just landed on the planet. It seemed odd, considering how badly they were losing. Oh well, another day, another battle. Kayla ran over to the strategy tent. Captain Dino was ready to march on the droids. "So, we head down from uphill, and snipe them down. Then we march down the rest of the troops and take them out, alright?" Another clone said, "But if we head into the valley, we could be trapped and-" Dino cut him off. "Hey fella! SHUT UP!" The clone shut up.
The troops mounted AT-STs and got in formation. A droid tank and a squadron were in the valley. The clone snipers got in trees, and took out the Droid Commander. The other battle droids turned to look for the attack, but by then it was too late.
The clones stormed downhill, destroying the wave of Clankers. The droids fell to their lightsabers and the Clones' blasters. The tank exploded and took out the rest of the droids. "That was too easy." Jaxon said, and Kayla agreed. Dino countered, "These droids have always been easy to take out. I would know. I have tons of experience."
Jaxon then said, "Hey, Kayla, want to come walk with me?" Obviously I said yes. We walked down to the lake, and Jaxon grabbed her hand. He said, "Hey, Kayla, I have a confession to make. I, uh, I really like you. I, um, have a crush on you. I know it's against the code, but, I have to tell you how I feel."
Kayla squealed, "I like you too! I'm so glad you feel the same way." She giggled nervously, and then Jaxon leaned in to kiss her. She kissed him back, and absolutely loved it. It felt like there was no war, just him and her. Alone.
Suddenly, they heard Dino yell, "Kids, get over here! We're under atta- urk" He fell silent, and then they heard a thunk noise. Jaxon and Kayla ran over to find Dino face down in the Felucian mud. He had a huge, gaping hole in his chest. It sparked.
"That's no blaster bolt. That was a lightsaber!" Jaxon yelled. She screamed for help, but no one was around. The pair huddled close together, and drew their lightsabers. Hers was green, and his was blue. Kayla was just glad she was with Jaxon, and wasn't alone.
Suddenly, we saw movement in the trees. A figure jumped down. It was wearing black and red robes, with armour plating, a cape, and an ominous helmet.
"Who are you?" Kayla asked. A deep voice answered, "I am the Shadowhunter. And you are my prey."
Jaxon and Kayla both got in fighting formation. The Shadowhunter drew a lightsaber, and ignited it. It was a very odd lightsaber. It had one main blade, but two other small blades came out from the side of the hilt. And, the blades were white.
He charged at the duo, and then did a front flip and landed right in front of him. He brought down Jaxon's lightsaber, and kicked him in the face. He fell onto his back. Then, he turned to face Kayla, and swung his blade at her. She almost got chopped in half, but instinctively blocked it. He then slashed at her leg, and blood flew out. She collapsed onto her knees. The Shadowhunter prepared to kill her, but he was suddenly tackled to the ground by Jaxon.
Both of their lightsabers were knocked away, so Jaxon punched him in the helmet. He kept slamming his fists into the Shadowhunter. He knocked his helmet off, revealing a young Zabrak with red and black skin. He seemed to be about their age, with spiky black hair. His eyes... they were odd. It was if they stared into one's soul. One was regular, with a yellow and red iris. But the other... it was black, with a glowing red iris. It had a scar over it, reminiscent of strands of lightning. The Zabrak roared, and slammed a metal fist in Jaxon's face.
He jumped into the air. The warrior then charged a blast of energy out of nowhere, and shot it at Jaxon while he was airborne. Jaxon was down. Kayla got up and ran at him. She swung at him wildly, forgetting all of her training, just trying to hit him. He kept his composure, and disarmed her. He then kicked her in the stomach, and lifted her into the air. He could use the force too?! The Zabrak laughed, and threw her like a rag doll.
Jaxon got up, pulled his lightsaber into his hand, and charged at him, angrily. They crossed blades. The Shadowhunter grunted. Jaxon kept pressed forward. The dark warrior then stopped pushing, and moved out of the way. He fell forward, and the Shadowhunter swung his blade across Jaxon's back. Jaxon screamed. The Shadowhunter walked over.
Jaxon weakly turned and faced the Zabrak. He raised his blade again. The Shadowhunter easily knocked his lightsaber away, and cut off his hand. He then plunged his blade into Jaxon's gut. He kicked his lifeless body over with no effort.
He summoned Jaxon's lightsaber, a simple gold and silver design. He activated it, and stared at the blue blade. The Shadowhunter put it on his belt as a trophy, and used the force to grab Kayla's from the ground. He then prepared to finish Jaxon.
Kayla pleaded, "No! Please, don't kill him. You can't. You have no idea how much he means to me." She began to cry and looked down. There was no reason for him to spare him. Why would he?
She heard no sparks or lightsaber slash. Kayla looked up to see the Zabrak stumbling back, looking confusedly at Jaxon. She heard him say, "Take him and run. Now." She walked over to pick up Jaxon. She could barely lift him. She wouldn't be able to get him to a medical tent in time. Kayla tried to mend his wounds with the force, but it did nearly nothing. The hole in his gut began to mend itself, slowly. She saw the Zabrak with an outstretched hand, stopping the blood flow.
"Thank you," she whispered. The Zabrak grunted, "Don't thank me yet. If we ever cross paths again," he put on his helmet and the deep, ominous voice returned. "I won't hesitate to kill either of you. So try to stay out of my way." Kayla looked down at Jaxon. His heart began to slow down to a normal rate. By the time she looked up, the Shadowhunter was gone.
