Despite the initial tension, the four young adults actually became good friends and got along pretty well, Lucas was surprised but he liked it. The four were in a lounge room playing UNO, a game that Sel didn't really get so she watched Chris, Lucas, and Des play.

"Ha! Draw four you bastard! And I say blue!" Chris groaned, shuffling his cards.

"Goddamn you, Des." Sel watched them with disinterest, playing on the phone SHIELD gave her.

"It's a damn shame Sel won't play. Then I could kick all three of your asses."

"I don't even understand the game," Sel replied.

"The goal is to get rid of all the cards in your hand," Lucas told her, to which Sel shrugged off, she didn't know the game, therefore she didn't really care.

"What's it called?" She asked, pretending to be curious.

"Uno, because once you have one card left in your hand you have to say "Uno"," Lucas replied, "Which you have by the way, so draw two bitch." Lucas snickered at Des who glowered back.

"Fuck you, pretty boy."

"I hate you both," Chris said, and Sel rolled her eyes again. Before she could make a snarky remark, the whole building violently shook, causing the four of them to fall out of their seats. Des sat up first and looked around, Sel followed.

"What the fuck was that?" Sel exclaimed. Des looked around, her pale violet eyes glazing over. Lucas looked at her a little spooked.

What the fuck? What can this girl do? He mentally asked himself. Des's eyes returned to normal; "More people have entered the building…" She said.

"SHIELD?" Des shook her head no.

"I can't get a read on them, so no." Sel stood up, her hands and markings beginning to glow. Chris knew what was going to happen with Sel and her powers if something bad was about to happen.

"Well shit," Sel said, bolting for the door. Before she could, however, the door is blown off its hinges as a tall man wearing black military tactical gear busts into a room pointing a semi-automatic at Sel specifically. All four of them froze in shock.

"Hands up!" The man shouted.

"Hello to you too," Des replied bluntly.

"The fuck are you?" Lucas exclaimed.

"I'm here for you." The man replied, grabbing Sel by the arm, who looked at him, then at her arm.

"I don't think so." Grabbing hold of the man's forearm, using all her strength, spun the man around, kneeing him in the gut, elbowing the back of his neck, before kicking him in the gut, and he attempted to grab her.

"Okay, you want to make this harder for yourself." She mumbled, picking him up and with a snap of her fingers, her telekinesis sent him flying through the walls, causing an explosion of violet through the hallways. Sel then grabbed Chris's hand and they bolted, Des and Lucas following after them.

The four ran through the corridors, not sure what was going on but well aware they were in danger. Then Romanoff caught up to them.

"What's going on?" Chris asked through running.

"A sub HYDRA group." Des and Lucas glanced at each other in concern.

"Shit that's really bad," Lucas said. He'd always known about how atrocious HYDRA was. With a burst of energy, Sel ran forward, she knew exactly who broke into SHIELD, and she was fully prepared to take on all of them head to head, after putting up with them for so many years, maybe it finally came time for a real fight.

"It's the HYDRA group that's been tracking me." Natasha nodded.

"They've been tracking you, we know. We don't know how they managed to track you here and break in. That's the biggest concern."

"Yeah well we have bigger problems now, and now I gotta confront these motherfuckers." She skidded to a stop as they ran into a group of agents, all carrying heavy military type weapons. "Okay, bye." Swirling her hands around, she sent the whole group flying.

"We need to get you the hell out of here," Lucas said, walking up to her, but Sel held out her arm to stop him.

"No, they wanted a fight, so they're going to get one."

"Absolutely NOT." Natasha and Chris said in unison.

" If they've been hunting you down, they have a reason and provoking them is going to make it worse," Chris said, looking directly at Sel. He wasn't going to let Sel make a dumbass move like that.

"So confuse them, give them more than one target to track," Des spoke up, all of them looked at her.

"What?" But Natasha had an idea of what Des was thinking.

"I'll go get Cap and Sam. And then we need to get our asses out of here before they know what hit 'em." Natasha ran in the other direction, leaving the four to work out their move. Des quickly observed Sel before asking a strange question.

"Okay, it feels weird to ask this, but Sel, mind if I borrow your body for a bit? It's to save your ass." Sel had no idea what Des meant by that, but, considering the situation, she didn't really have another choice.

"Uh… sure?"

"Two targets Sel. I'm going to look like you so they don't know who to chase."

"That could go horribly. What if they just grab both of you?" Lucas pointed out. Sel shrugged.

"We'll deal with that if that happens I guess. We don't have any other choice." With a wiggle of her fingers, Des made the air shimmer as she manipulated the light around them. Within the blink of an eye, she made herself mirror Sel exactly.

"Okay, is everything good for you?"

" It's a little weird, but nothing can surprise me anymore," Sel replied.

"God that is fucking weird," Lucas mumbled, rubbing his face.

"Right okay, now we wait for Nat and the others," Des said, glancing around.

"Get used to it Luke, something tells me we're gonna see even weirder shit," Sel said, suddenly standing up and sending a telekinetic blast in the direction of HYDRA agents that spotted them. Sel was truly ready for a standoff, and figure out what the hell this HYDRA subgroup wanted with her.

Why did they wait this long to try to kidnap her? She knew it had to be for her powers, why else would HYDRA hunt down someone with powers? Using Des's suggestion, they were able to confuse and thwart the group long enough to hijack a quinjet and take off.

"Any suggestions?" Lucas asked as he directed the quinjet west. Chris and Sel looked at each other and mentally agreed on a place.

"There's an abandoned air force base in Cheyenne, Wyoming, it's the last place they'd look for us." Lucas shook his head.

"I dunno man, more and more people choose to hide in those place than you might think, but shit, why not?" He asked that last part mostly to himself as he punched in the coordinates and took off. Meanwhile, back at SHIELD. Fury took note that the four young adults were missing.

"Security camera caught them hijacking a quinjet." Sam informed.

"Do we know where they're heading?"

"Due west, sir. We're tracking it down as we speak." Natasha replied, scanning the screen before them. Only a moment later did a ping come up and the quinjet appear. It was making a straight shot for Wyoming.

"They're going to some old air force base, hasn't been used in almost ten years."

"Follow them, and figure out what's going on. I cannot lose either of them, they'll all bring too much attention to themselves, and given that this HYDRA sub group is specifically after them, I'm not taking my chances."

"Yes sir."
