CHAPTER 7: OUR THING...

KENSI'S P.O.V.

I called Deeks and hoped he would show up soon so we could talk.

Finally deciding he probably wouldn't come back today; I laid my head against the pillow and closed my eyes intending to at least rest my eyes.

I needed to talk to Deeks, but at the same time I was not sure what I was going to say. I was just trying to relax with my eyes still closed when I heard someone enter my room.

I opened my eyes to find Deeks standing beside my bed.

"Hey, I didn't mean to push you earlier." Deeks said as he continued to stand.

"I know you wanted an answer earlier, but I just couldn't think of what to say. I did some thinking after you left..." I began. "Any more dreams you're not telling me about?" Deeks teased with a smile and jumped out of the way before I could punch him.

"Deeks...were you serious earlier when you asked about our thing?" I asked and his smile faded. "You said earlier there is no thing and that's what we tell everyone. I guess I should have..." Deeks began, but I interrupted what he was going to say.

"I told you that after you left I did some thinking and I think it's time we talk, because you said you needed your partner's help." I said remembering what he had said earlier.

"You told me we're just work partners and I don't know what else there is to say about it." Deeks said sadly. "Y-you changed your mind about the possibility of us..." I began, but this time he interrupted me. "There is no 'us', you told me that to." Deeks said again reminding me of something else I had said.

"You asked me earlier to look at you and say that I believed there was no 'thing' between us. The truth is, Deeks...I can't say that." I confessed. "Because there is a 'thing' Princess," Deeks said softly the smile returning to his face and I nodded.

"Yes, I was trying to convince myself earlier and there wasn't anything between us. I know I'm going to regret this and you'll never let me forget it, but the dream..." I began trying not to blush and Deeks smile grew bigger.

"From the look on your face before I woke you up that day it had to be a good...I don't believe it! Is badass Kensi Marie Blye actually blushing? You were actually dreaming about us together weren't you?" Deeks teased and this time he didn't jump back in time as I hit him.

"Shut up, Deeks." I warned and when he laughed I hit him again.

"Ow! Geez Kens I think you never lost your ability to leave a bruise." He told me as he rubbed his arm where I had hit him." I was only in a coma for a week and a half." I reminded him.

"I think there needs to be a sign to let us know when to stay away." Callen said as him and Sam walked into my hospital room. "I don't think it would work." Sam said.

"I'm going to go talk to someone and see when I can take you...when the doctors will let you out of here." Deeks said and left the room.

"What's going on between you and Deeks Kensi?" Callen asked. "Nothing," I lied with a smile. "I don't think we want to know G." Sam told him.

As I visited with Sam and Callen, we were soon joined by Hetty, Nell and Eric. Just after Hetty, Nell and Eric showed up Deeks returned.

"I found..." Deeks stopped when he saw the whole team was in my room. "Found out what Mr. Deeks?" Hetty asked. "When the doctors are going to let me out of here," I said. "They just want to keep you a few more days." Deeks told me.

A FEW DAYS LATER...

DEEKS P.O.V.

"Ready?" I asked as Kensi finished filling out her discharge papers. "Yeah, let's get out of here." She replied with a smile and I smiled back at her.

Soon we left the hospital and headed to her house, when I noticed she had a look on her face.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I inquired. "Nothing this is just like de' ja' vu." Kensi replied.

"What do you mean?" I asked. "This is almost like what happened in my dream." Kensi explained. "Your dream, the one that keeping you from getting any sleep?" I asked and Kensi nodded.

"Yeah, in my dream...Callen and Sam came to relieve us from a stakeout and when my car wouldn't start you ended up giving me a ride home..." Kensi said and I waited for her to continue, but she didn't.

Instead she got out and headed for her front door. After a second I got out of the car and followed her.

Once inside I don't know what happened, but she looked at me and I couldn't stop myself from kissing her lips. Then she put her arms around my neck and kissed me back...I couldn't believe what was happening.

"Kens?" I asked pulling away to look at her. "I kept having that same dream for four nights in a row and I couldn't think of a way to get rid of it. Then I crashed and now..." Kensi stopped biting her lip as she looked at him.

"Now what, I asked as she stepped forward closing the gap between us and I looked into her eyes just before our lips met again.

I let my hands run down the side of her body and when one of my hands slipped under her shirt I heard her gasp in surprise.

I let my other hand drive down and unbuttoned her jeans and she let her hands fall from around my neck, and then began to tug my shirt up.

Pretty soon my shirt was off and I was taking her shirt off, then she began to steer me to her bedroom.
