(Hey guys! Thanks for the last chapter. I got a few reviews, that made me really happy. And now its time for chapter 7! Enjoy!)
The Washington Cafe
Atlanta, Georgia
11:30 am
Layla, Kelly, Aj, Maryse, and Bey all sat in a corner booth in a cafe of Layla's choosing. Randy and John had stayed behind with the kids.
"So Lay Lay, whatsamatter boo?" Kelly asked the heated brunette. She had been quiet the entire ride there and still hadn't said a word since they'd arrived.
"Where do I start? My husband is getting phone calls from the bitch who tried to kill me at 5 in the morning." Everyone took a collective gasp.
"Okay spill. We want all the details, everything." Maryse leaned in. After Layla had finished almost everyone was pissed.
"Stab him. I will bail you out of jail girl." Kelly exclaimed
"I can't bail you because I'll be in there with you! He is ridiculous. He has no business talking to her at all hours of the night. It's bad enough the bitch is back. You two were great for six years." Aj piped up. The British bombshell let out an overwhelmed sigh and covered her face with her hands. She hadn't told the girls about everything she and John had been going through. She took a sip of her water as she felt the tears welling up in her eyes.
"Thats the thing. John and I haven't been do good at all the past six months." She sighed again and let the tears fall. She just couldn't hold it in any longer. She felt Bey place a hand on her shoulder.
"What? Why didn't you say anything? You should have told us you and John were having problems. What happened?" Kelly, Aj, Maryse, and Kelly all piped in. Just then the bell that hung over the door to the cafe rang out and Nicki, Brie, and Bryan all walked in.
"Umm, hey. I know this isn't any of my business but isn't that the Nicki y'all are talking about." Bey said quietly.
"Oh shit." Layla took a peek over her shoulder at the woman she wished death upon. She quickly picked up a napkin and pulled herself together. She checked her reflection in a spoon and took another sip of her water. Just then she heard the clicking of heels as Brie ran over to their table. Unlike her identical twin Brie wasn't all that bad. But she had the tendency to overstep her boundaries at times.
"Hi ladies. Layla I'm so sorry about my sister. She just showed up. But I promise I'm going to keep her outta trouble. Just don't mind her okay?" Brie promised. Layla took a long pause to finish of the last of her water.
"Better you than me right?" she said. And with that Brie walked off to join her husband and sister.

Back on the bus
On the road to Little Rock, Arkansas
4:35 pm
After breakfast the girls headed back to the bus and off to the next city. John eventually caught on the the fact that something was up with Layla, and after confronting her in front of everybody led to a huge argument, which was rare for the two, they weren't on speaking terms. Everyone on the bus had gone to their respective rooms, including Aj, baby Danielle in tow.
"Dani come to mommy, come here!" Aj cooed as the toddler slowly made her way to her mother. She was learning how to walk, it was a slow process but it was going. The baby finally made it to where Aj was sitting Indian style on the floor, when Aj's phone rang.
Private Number
Chicago Illinois
Now normally she wasn't the one to answer private or unknown numbers, especially from Chicago, but her curiosity got the best of her and she hit answer.
"Hello?"
"Um. Aj?" She could've swore she knew who the gruff voice belonged to, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"H-hey Aj, its Pun- I-I mean Phil." Aj looked at her daughter who was gnawing on her chubby fingers and took a deep breath. How the hell did he get her number? She got it changed right after their break up. Well here goes nothing.
"Hi Phil. Can I help you?" She asked with a slight edge in her voice. He made her uneasy even over the phone. Damn.
"I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to lunch or something with me. We haven't seen each other in awhile and I wanna catch up. I know we didn't leave on good terms, so I just want to clear the air. Please?" she took a deep breath and glanced at her daughter playing on the floor. Now was as good a time as any to tell him about Dani.
"Sure. I'm fine with it. But I don't have a sitter. So I have to bring Danielle with me."
"Um, well I guess that's fine. But I have to ask. Who's Dani?" She sighed and playfully rolled her eyes. If only you knew. She thought to herself.
"Dani's my daughter. She's ten months. Everybody has plans today and Layla has her hands full with Chaz today so I don't want to ask her keep her." That was a lie if she ever told one. Her godson was one of the calmest kids in the world. She just didn't want to piss Lay off anymore than she already was. She'd seen on too many occasions what was to come from that.
"Oh. I didn't know you had a baby. Congratulations. But sure you can bring her. I'd love to meet her. So how's 3 o'clock tomorrow work?"
"3 sounds fine. See you there."
" Great see you there."
Aj threw the phone on the bed and sighed. She watched Danielle play and thought about the life she could have had if only Phil had acted right. Now she had to muster up the courage to tell him she was his. He was going to be pissed. She could already tell this wasn't going to be good.
Next up: Aj and Punk meetup. Will AJ tell him or punk out?
Bey and Randy are moving fast. Whats next?
Maryse finds somebody that catches her eye. Will she make her move or just wait on it?
(Is it just me or do you guys think I always end the chapter with Aj's predictions on the near future? Whatever. Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Chapter 8 will be up soon. XOXO -Jade)
