"Alright ladies and gentlemen, we've completed the men's portion of the auction. Once again I'd like to thank all of the volunteers for offering up their time, as well as a thank you to all of our donators." A round of applause was made, along with a few hoots and hollers from the slightly intoxicated guests. "Now it's the ladies turn. First up we have everyone's favorite sheriff,"
"Hey!" David yells from his seat off to the side by Regina and Robin, earning a laugh from the crowd.
Snow laughs but continues. "The Savior as well as my daughter, Emma." Snow claps her hands and motions for Emma to come to the stage.
The blonde groans but reluctantly rises. She was not happy about the fact that she was picked to go first.
"Come now Swan, it's not that bad. I did it." Killian calls out as she trudges up the steps.
"Shut up Killian, you like to be the center of attention all the time anyway." She says taking her seat next to her mother.
"With this face it would be a shame if all eyes weren't on me." He winks making Emma release a breathy laugh.
"You know you talk rather high of yourself there Captain. Remind me again, what was your winning bid? 50 dollars? Or was it 40? It went by so fast I can't even remember." Regina teases, Ruby who was sipping a glass of wine nearly spits it out at her comment. Robin chuckles under his breath followed by the louder laughs of Roland and Henry.
"Play nice now your majesty. Not everyone is as possessive as you are." He smirks turning back towards the stage, but looks back towards Regina. "And it was 57 for your information."
Regina laughs loudly. "Oh I'm sorry dear. 57. You must be very proud of yourself. I must thank you though Miss Swan for putting the old boy out of his misery and bidding on him. Saved me the trouble of taking pity on him and bidding myself."
"Oh don't tease me my Queen. You know I'm always willing."
"Okay you two, don't make me separate the both of you." Snow reprimands them. "Now if you are done bickering like children, may we continue with the evening?"
"He started it!" "She started it!" Both say in unison making everyone laugh at their behavior.
Snow rolls her eyes. "Anyway. Let get started shall we? Emma, how are you?" Snow askes her daughter well aware of how uncomfortable she is right now.
"I've been better." Emma says fidgeting with her hands.
"Oh don't tell me you're not enjoying the evening."
"No I was enjoying it a lot until I got called up to the stage."
Snow laugh though her nose. "Alright we'll try to make this as quick and painless as possible. First question, how would you describe your taste in movie?"
"Um I guess comedies. Syfy if I'm in the mood. Though it's kind of hard now to be impressed with CGI magic once you've seen it up close and personal. Thanks for that by the way Regina."
"Oh don't get your panties in a twist. I would have caught you before the bridge broke. And in case you've forgotten it was Rumple who gave you the sword and said "Here go poke a dragon with this."" She mimics the movement with her fork. "You should be thankful I didn't use the same methods as my as him."
Emma rolled her eyes.
"Question number two." Snow interjects. "What would you say your secret talent is?"
"Does magic count?" Snow shakes her head no. "Um I don't know,"
"You've got one hell of a right hook!" Killian yells out when she doesn't say anything, Emma giggles a bit.
"Yeah I have to agree with that." Regina says nonchalantly, Snows eyes grow twice in size.
"You punched your step-grandmother?!"
"Eww, please don't call her that. That's gross. And in my defense, she hit me first!"
Snow just shakes her head but can't stop the laughter that bubbles out. "Okay, I don't think I can handle any more of your answers. Let's just start the bidding." She gasps out trying to get her breathing out of control.
Emma shrugs her shoulders, thankful that this is almost over.
"Let's start at 20, do I hear 20 dollars?" Snow asks the crowd.
"20 dollars right here!" Ruby cups her hands around her mouth making Regina lean away to save her ears from the loud noise.
"Hey!" Killian objects. "I bid 30 for the lady!" He grins at Rudy, looking forward to the competition.
"There's no way in hell I'm going to let you win a date with my daughter Hook! I bid 50" David yells shooting death glares at the pirate.
"David!" Emma and Snow say at the same time. But he ignores them to stare daggers at Killian, who only smirks back in return.
"I've got 60!" Ruby yells, bringing the attention back to her. She turns towards David and asks, "What, are you gonna try and outbid me as well Charming?" She teases.
"Nah, better you than the pirate." He shrugs.
"Hey, the pirate happens to have a name."
"Okay people, can we please get this over with? I don't want to be up her all night." Emma interrupts. Her scowl has everyone nodding in agreement.
"60, from Ruby. Do I hear 65?"
"65 right here!" Killian yells sending a playful smirk in Ruby's direction.
Snow glares at her husband when he went to bid. He quickly snapped his mouth shut and falls back into his chair. Glaring at Killian.
"70! You're not going to win Killy boy."
"Oh I don't know about that love. 75!" He was enjoying this banter quiet it.
"How exactly do you plan on paying Killian? Last I checked, pirating isn't the best paying job in this land." David questions, wanting nothing more than the whip that smug look of his face.
"Well mate, it so happens I managed to bring a nice hoard of treasure with me from the Enchanted Forest. I have more than enough gold to cover the cost, whatever that should be."
"Oh, sorry Killian. This auction is cash only, no gold allowed. Maybe you can get Rumpelstiltskin to pawn you treasure." Snow says sadly.
Killian looks over to where Gold is sitting with Belle by his side. "No way. I'm not going anywhere near the crocodile!"
"Well then it looks like you're out of the bidding." Snow says not waiting for his reply. "We've got 70 from Ruby. Anyone else?" She asks the crowd trying not to laugh at Killian pouting in his chair.
No one says anything.
"Anyone? No. Okay, 70 going once, going twice. Sold to Ruby. Congratulations you've won an evening with Emma!" She claps, everyone follows except Killian.
"Oh Killian stop pouting. You're supposed to be a harden criminal, not a love sick puppy." Ruby teases his.
"Okay Ruby, give him a break. Why did you bid on me anyway? I mean, you're hot an all but not really my type." Emma says getting off the stage. She makes her way back to her seat, taking Killian's hand in hers. Soothing his hurt ego.
"We will see. Anyway I think a night with the Savior will result in a scrapbook moment. Especially if I can get you drunk." Ruby winks and giggles at Emma's terrified expression.
"I don't know Ruby. Do you think Miss Swan can keep up with you?" Regina asks mischievously.
"Hey. I can handle my drink thank you very much. In fact, I could really use a scotch right now!" Emma defends. Killian looks at her with a proud gaze while David looks like he'd rather be anywhere else at the moment.
"Oh good. Just what I love, a good, hard licker." Ruby says looking Emma dead in the eyes. David chokes on his water, spraying it all over the table. Emma doesn't notice, she's too busy looking mortified. Killian looks as if he's imaging things he'd be smart to keep to himself.
"Ruby!" Regina yells, a wave of her hand she incases Henry and Roland into a sound proof bubble, making Roland laugh at Henry's protest.
"What? What did I say?" Ruby looks innocently. But laughs at everyone's disapproving glares.
"There are children here." Regina says in disbelief.
"Oh please. Henry has internet. He's heard far worse than that."
"Still. Keep your disturbing thoughts to yourself please."
"Oh but Regina, that would be no fun."
"I can't take you anywhere can I?"
"Nope. Now can you please let that poor boy out of that bubble. He's giving you that look that Pongo gives you when he wants his head scratched."
Regina looks over to her son to see that he is in fact sporting a kicked puppy face. She sighs before turning back to Ruby.
"Do you promise to keep the conversation PG?"
"No." Ruby laughs at Regina's glare. "But I will keep it out of the NC-17 genre."
Regina rolls her eyes but knows that's as good as she can get from the wolf. She removes the bubble and settles back into her chair.
"How rude." Roland says when they can hear again. Causing the adults to laugh, and the young boy to grin proudly. Conversations flow easily as the evening draws closer and closer to the much anticipated event. Regina's turn in the auction.
A/N Sorry for all the T.V. references. I've been binge watching for the last few weeks. Also sorry I took so long to post this chapter. I ran into a huge wall trying to get into Emma's mindset and I feel like I've failed miserably, so it's OOC but just pretend that it's not, okay.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought about it. I'd love you forever if you did.
