Mika stared at the three men in front of her, "Sasuke"
Shock enveloped her system as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing, "Sasuke?'
Anger bubbled up inside of her as she remembered all that this boy had done, "Sasuke!"
Orochimaru grinned at the turn of events as Kabuto merely smirked ironically. That is, until Mika made some signs.
"Ha!"
She let chakra lightning form in her hands and shot the electricity towards the three men, forcing the chakra lightning to form into a rope and wrap around them tightly, effectively trapping them.
Kenshin on the other hand was very confused, "Mika? Are you alright? You know these men?"
Mika growled demonically, "Know them?" Her eyes started to turn gold, "I hate them!"
The three other head monks in the back ground were gasping as Mika was letting her anger slow in the temple. Kenshin was panicking and Imako whined.
Sasuke who now sported long baggy dark blue pants, a gray button shirt and black snow storm jacket over it just stared at Mika in disguised awe, his Sharingan eyes active.
'She's definitely grown more powerful. But how much more powerful?'
He squirmed in the electric rope.
Mika began shaking, "They need to leave. Now."
Kenshin was shocked, "B-but Mika! The storm!"
"I don't care" She snapped at Kenshin, "They deserve the storm after all these bastards put me and my family through!" Her canines were slowly growing sharper and Imako wined again, placing her large head on Mika's shoulder. Mika seemed to have calmed down only slightly.
"Mika listen. Remember the rules. A monk shall not turn away a guest. There will be no violence in this temple."
"I don't care! You don't know what these. . .These monsters did to me and my brother! Orochimaru is a sadistic freak bastard who stole by brother's best friend, promising power and tried to kill me. Kabuto mocked my brother and tried to kill him not so long ago! And Sasuke Uchiha! He's the worst one! He was my brother's best friend but betrayed him and Konoha just for his selfish need for power! He almost killed me and my brother!"
Mika growled louder," These bastards mean nothing to me!"
She tightened the electric rope even more, making even the stoic Kabuto groan in pain, especially at the constant light shocking feeling.
"That's enough!" Monk Ryuu yelled and Mika winced but still held the jutsu.
Ryuu came forward and stood beside Mika, glaring at her, "There will be no violence in this temple. So long as these three are here then no harm will come to them am I clear, Uzumaki?"
Mika shivered in rage, the darkness inside of her laughing at her, "I take orders from Imako, not you."
Sasuke stared at her through his grown black hair that had blown into his face.
'What's going on? Who's Imako? Her trainer?'
Imako growled into Mika's ear and the girl immediately let the jutsu fall, the electric rope disappearing into crackling sparks. She sighed.
"Fine. But don't say I didn't warn you." Mika stepped closer to the three men and glared at a grinning Orochimaru, "You." She growled ferociously, "If you even try to do anything threatening I will not hesitate in ripping you in half and letting my wolf over there eat you alive."
Orochimaru's grin fell and he stared at her hard, sensing the sincerity that held the dark promise.
Mika turned to Kabuto, "If you do anything to the monks as in poison or manipulation I will break your glasses again and shove the sharp shards of broken glass up your ass. Got it?"
Kabuto grunted and fixed his glasses, sweat dripping from his face. Then Mika turned to Sasuke.
"And as for you." She grabbed the front of his shirt and bared her unusually long sharp canines in his face, "If you so much as look at me, touch me or talk to me, I'll fucking kill you. That way you won't have to worry about getting revenge for your precious clan because you'll be with them! Okay?"
The Uchiha glared at her and activate his Sharingan eye, shivering in anger.
"Mika! That's enough!" Kenshin stepped forward and broke her grip off of Sasuke, "This boy, Sasuke, you called him? His 'friends' here have asked for training in the lightning style. I have recommended you.-"
Mika froze and stared murderously at Kenshin, "Are you insane? I'm not training this bastard! I taught him once before and it only led to trouble and he used that technique to try and kill me and my brother! I refuse! You teach him!"
With that, Mika left the room and ran off to her own private quarters in the heart of the cave.
Kabuto swallowed, "Well she's turned into quite the charming young lady."
Orochimaru smiled wickedly, "She's ferocious indeed. What do you think Sasuke?"
The Uchiha boy merely stared where Mika had run off to, not listening to either of them. Kenshin coughed, "I'm sorry about her. I realize you had all had your differences but the rules still stand here. There will be no violence permitted. I hope that won't be a problem?"
Kenshin glared warningly at them and Imako growled threateningly Ryuu and the other two head monks stood back by the statues waiting the verdict.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes, "It won't be a problem."
There was silence before Ryuu finally spoke up again, "Well that's good to hear then! I'm sure Ms. Uzumaki was just overreacting. Now if you'll please come with us and we'll get you three to a few vacant rooms for your stay."
Orochimaru and Kabuto politely followed but Sasuke stood in place, no staring at the black wolf. His Sharingan was still active and with it he saw something that the two Sound ninja did not. This wolf had twelve tails, not one.
'Must be under a genjutsu from outsiders'
Imako narrowed her eyes at him and snarled, warning the boy. Sasuke merely wrinkled his nose and walked after Orochimaru and Kabuto.

Mika was in her room with her eyes closed in a meditative state. She knew that if she got too worked up then the dark side of her would come out again and wreak havoc. She stayed in the silence, calming with the presence of her demon inside of her rumbling with comforting grumbles. Okami sighed inside of her. They had come so far and was so close and then the Uchiha had to come and mess everything up.
Would Mika ever be able to control the rage inside of her?
-88888888888888888888888888888888888888-
It was three days and Mika had never once left her room. Kenshin was getting worried and sent Imako discreetly into Mika's room only to find her in a deep state of meditation. Imako could sense that Mika was trying to find her peace.
"Oh dear child. What are you doing to yourself? You mustn't test yourself so much. Eventually the answers will come. That boy is nothing more than an obstacle that you must face in your way of overcoming yourself. Eventually you will see this. He is the obstacle, not you."
Imako nuzzled Mika's cheek, "You will find peace. I know it. Come out when you're ready."
-8888888888888888888888888888888888888888-
Sasuke was getting very impatient. It had been four days and still Mika had not left her room and Kenshin had refused to teach him himself, stating that Mika as far better at the chakra style than he ever was.
"She'll come out eventually" Kenshin had said, "After all, she can't stay away from food forever!"
Sasuke glared at the table he was sitting at and suddenly got up and walked out the kitchen.
"Sasuke?" Kabuto walked after him, "Where are you going?"
Sasuke didn't spare Kabuto a glance, "None of your business. Leave me alone."
With that, Kabuto just shrugged and walked back to Orochimaru and the other monks.
Sasuke activated his Sharingan and walked through the tunnels of the mountain in search for a certain someone. Finally he sensed the chakra behind a wooden door and knocked.
Mika, who was on the other side, didn't hear the noise.
Sasuke kept knocking until he realized that she wasn't going to answer.
'Damn idiot. Why won't she answer?'
He scoffed and sighed, and being the ninja he was, he picked the lock and bust in the room without a problem. What he saw baffled him.
There his old teammate was, just sitting in the middle of the room cross-legged and her eyes closed.
'What's she doing?' he came closer to her until he was squatted in front of her face to face.
'Is she really meditating?' he crossed his own legs and just stared at her, deactivating his Sharingan eyes.
He sighed.
Meanwhile Mika was in her own little world, deep in a pool of thoughts and feelings. She was floating on her back staring up at the cloudy gray sky, 'Why won't it clear? Is this my thoughts? Is this me? Am I so clouded by my own feelings that I can't think of anything else?'
A small glimmer of sun peeked out from the clouds and illuminated onto her.
'Was that a revelation? An answer?'
"Mika" she heard in the distance.
'That's me' she began to sink into the water, 'Who's calling me?'
She watched the small glimmer of sun from under the water as she sunk to the bottom, 'Is that a friend?'
Sasuke was about to give up and leave when finally after speaking her name, Mika's eyes snapped open and she gasped for breathe, heaving up strange splashes of water as if she had been drowning.
"Gasp! Gasp! Gasp!" Mika blinked her eyes open and stared around her room until her eyes met Sasuke's.
She suddenly jumped up to stand and glared at him, "What the fuck are you doing here?!"
Sasuke just stood up looked at her curiously, "It's been four days and I was sick of waiting."
Mika raised an eyebrow, "Waiting for what?!"
"For you to train me" his answer was calm and Mika couldn't' help but to laugh at his reply and circle him.
"What?! What makes you think I'll train you? My answer four days ago was 'no' and the answer is still 'no'. Now get out of my room and stay out!"
The raven haired boy smirked, "You haven't changed a bit Mika."
"Yeah?" she scoffed, "Well I can't say the same for you. You've changed for the worse it seems."
"Really?" Sasuke took a step towards her but Mika wasn't having any of it and shot a chakra lightning shock at him. Sasuke repelled the blast easily causing the bolt to hit the wall behind them. This alerted most of the people in the mountain of course though.
Imako sensed the trouble immediately and ran off to Mika's room before anyone else could follow.
"I thought there was to be no violence within the temple?" Sasuke taunted her and Mika hissed.
"Rules were meant to be broken."
But before the Jinchuriki could make another move, Imako appeared in the room in front of Mika.
"Stop Mika."
Sasuke's face momentarily faltered, 'This wolf speaks too? Why has it been silent all this time?!'
Mika sighed and looked away, "Imako, please. . . I-"
"Enough. Remember the rules. No Violence in the temple!" Imako barked, causing Mika to flinch.
Imako hardly ever lost her temper with her.
"I'm sorry Imako. Please forgive me" the Jinchuriki begged and the demon wolf couldn't help but to feel understanding towards her.
"I know you hate this man for what he's done. But if you feel you need to cause him pain then issue a challenge."
"Challenge?"
Sasuke watched the interaction with mild interest.
Imako turned to Sasuke, "Do you truly wish for Mika to train you?"
Sasuke was hesitant but uttered a small, 'Yes'.
The black wolf demon turned to Mika, "I suggest you try and work things out this way Mika. It could help you vent out some excess anger. Hm?"
Mika thought about it. The thought had never actually occurred to her before. Why keep herself away when she could destroy and humiliate him instead?
The girl smirked, "Very well Uchiha. Meet me at the temple entrance at dawn tomorrow. I suggest you prepare yourself for hell. Now get out of my room."
Sasuke felt a small pinch of victory but the rest was worry. He still couldn't really read how strong she was and it almost scared him.
'How much power has she harnessed since last we met?'
He nodded and left the room, leaving Imako and Mika behind.
Mika smirked at Imako, "Tomorrow is going to be fun. Could you go get me some food please? Having not eaten in a few days gets your appetite going." She laughed and the demon just chuckled, leaving but coming back with a pouch full of rolls, fruit and nuts.
-888888888888888888888888888888888888-
Imako left the girl after her delivery and walked the tunnels thinking. She could sense that the three men were not there just for Mika to train the Uchiha boy. The pale oldest man had another agenda and Imako dreaded to find out. As for the gray-haired man, she couldn't really read him at all.
Whatever she felt about them, though, she really had no say in the matter. She may be viewed as a god to most of the monks but she didn't want anything to do with how they cultured themselves. Imako could do whatever she wanted but she didn't want to destroy the trust she had formed between her and the humans.
She could only trust Mika and Kenshin to do what they thought was right.
-8888888888888888888888888888888888888-
The next morning, Sasuke stood in front of the entrance with Mika in front of him wearing her white storm cloak and black clothes. She was ready for battle.
"You ready for hell Uchiha?"
Sasuke glared at her coldly but didn't answer. Mika walked forward towards him and grabbed his black jacket that he wore to be ready for the cold outside.
"Don't touch me" he tried to shake her off but Mika's grip was like steel and she smirked.
"Scared Uchiha? Just calm yourself and breathe normally. This will only take a second."
"What?"
Mika released the jutsu and let the lightening overcome her and strike down on them. She could feel and sense Sasuke's surprise but thought nothing of it, letting the teleportation feeling overwhelm her. That's what she had learned of the trick five days ago.
By calming herself completely and giving in, she was able to let the lightning strike and bring her to the temple without any nerve damage or a single scratch or scar.
When before they stood on the temple's mountain shielded from the cold, she could now feel the blistering winds of the harsh snows. They were on Mika's favorite mountain, Mount Arashi.
Mika opened her eyes and met a wide eyed Sasuke Uchiha who felt frazzled but didn't dare to show it in his emotions.
Mika let go of him and stepped away, "What have you learned from Orochimaru so far of lightning chakra, Uchiha?"
The black-haired rogue held no emotion in his dark eyes, "I've learned how to emit the Chidori from any part of my body and my sword."
"Show me" Mika stood a good distance from the boy and waited.
Sasuke made the appropriate signs and instead of coming just from his hand, the Chidori emitted from his whole body, the chakra lightning crackling all around him. He then pulled out his sword from on his back and lit it up with the Chidori as well.
Mika titled her head at him, "Show me what that sword can do on that boulder over there."
Sasuke looked over where she glanced and ran over raising his blade and managed to cut the boulder clean in half. However, the move made him use quite a bit of chakra and he started to breathe heavily already. Mika came from behind him and hummed, "Not bad. Now let me show you what I can do."
Sasuke watched as Mika pointed out another mountain not so far off from them. She pointed her finger in the direction in the middle of the mountain as if her whole arm, hand and fingers were an arrow. Then with her other hand, she pointed to the base of the mountain.
In her learning about lightning, she never thought about how or where lightning actually came from but when Imako told her she was shocked. Lightning did not actually come from the sky but from the ground beneath them. No one knew how exactly but the lightning would come up from the ground, up to the sky and then back down again to the ground where in originated. Mika bore this in mind as she quickly raised her hand upwards to the middle of the mountain, up to the sky and then to the middle again. As quickly as she moved her arm, the lightning struck to her will and chakra. But just when the lightning struck the middle of the mountain, she made a quick horizontal line from left to right facing the mountain, causing the bolt of electricity to act as a knife.
The lightning sliced the mountain straight in half. Mika smirked, heavily relieved that the lightning obeyed to her will this time. She looked to Sasuke whose face was priceless.
He looked truly shocked.
'Fuck!' was the only thing going through his mind, 'And she's not even breaking a sweat or breathing hard! What kind of training has she been going through?!'
Sasuke swallowed, "Uh. . . Was that?-"
"Real lightning? Yes it was. It has taken me a whole year to master but I have done it." She began to walk towards the Uchiha, "And not only have I mastered true lightning but I have also managed to combine the wind element with it. And I'm still working on combining water with it. What do you think? Better than Orochimaru's training?"
Sasuke didn't know what to say as Mika came in front of him, "Was it worth it still to leave Konoha only to be able to master chakra lightning? You may have your Sharingan eyes too but it is no match for my power."
Mika crossed her arms, "You are still no match for Itachi."
Sasuke's face tightened and he glared at her coldly, "You don't know a damn thing!"
'Ooo!' Mika thought, 'I hit a nerve'
Mika just stared at him, "I don't? What don't' I know Uchiha?"
"Everything!" Sasuke was losing his temper, "You don't know a thing about me, about true loneliness or what it's like to lose a family member!"
Mika snapped and punched the boy in the face, causing him to stagger a little and wipe off his cheek. He growled.
"I don't know loneliness?! How dare you! Naruto and I have been alone all our lives before Team Seven!"
Sasuke punched her in the gut, catching her off guard, "Gah!"
"You've had Naruto with you! He was there for you! You were never alone like I was!"
Mika glared and blocked a kick he tried to throw at her, "You're wrong. You always had people who loved you. Naruto and I may have had each other but everyone else hated us for what we were."
The two parted and walked in a circle around each other like predators before Mika spoke again, "You had a family I know. Those you loved and cared for you. It was when you were seven years old when Itachi killed them all right?"
Sasuke didn't speak but the look in his eyes was enough and Mika continued.
"Well think about it. Naruto and I had nothing to begin with. We could have easily become Konoha's enemy. Rogues like you are. But we didn't. You had a family and after they were killed you had two options."
'Two options?' Sasuke narrowed his eyes questioningly.
"Option one was revenge like you have chosen already. To become a rogue and the betrayer of your village. Then there's option two."
"What are you talking about?! There was only ever one option! To kill Itachi!"
"Or you could have left your hate and enjoyed your life. You could have spent your life like it should have been. Do you think your family would be proud of what you have become?! Would your parents be proud of a killer? A rogue ninja hell bent on murder and revenge?"
Sasuke seemed to think about this but shook it off, "What's wrong with you Uzumaki?! There was only ever option one! Do think I wanted to become this?! I would love nothing more than to go back to the village!"
"Then what's stopping you?!"
"I'm an avenger!" With that, Sasuke bolted to Mika, slamming her with a punch that knocked the wind out of her.
She collided with the burning snow, landing a few feet from Sasuke's punch.
'You're such an idiot!' she thought.
'You'll never see it.' She narrowed her eyes as she stood up again, 'You'll never see that you are not alone. That you always had option two. We could have helped you but you chose solitude over teamwork. You were always a lone wolf weren't you?'
Mika felt the power well inside of her with all the chakra she could muster, she drew the lightning from the ground up to her feet, ran to the Uchiha who ran towards her as well with a Chidori and let the lightning pulse through her body.
Just when Sasuke's Chidori was about to hit her, she let the lightning that pulsed inside of her strike out of her fingertips and hit her old Teammate. The effect was immediate.
"Ggrrraaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!"
Sasuke screamed and lurched back, the lightning springing in and out of his own body. As Sasuke fell to the ground, Mika stood above him with a chilling frown on her face.
Sasuke was now flinching violently in the snow, unused to the real lightning. He had only ever had experience with Chakra lightning. It was a good thing Mika didn't put too much lightning at the last second. She realized that she didn't want to kill him.
She wanted to make him suffer.
To humiliate him.
She leaned down to him and he looked up at her with pain on his face and in his eyes.
"You're weak."
Sasuke's eyes widen with terror at the realization before he blacked out completely.
(flashback)
After the land of waves mission when Team seven was first formed, Sasuke no longer hated his team. In fact, he sort of liked them. Currently Sasuke was perched in a tree near the rooftops looking over Konoha. He thought about his teammates.
Their sensei Kakashi Hatake always had a little orange book in his back pocket, making lame excuses why he was late all of the time.
Sakura might have been too fan-girly but Sasuke came to respect her knowledge or things. She was a pretty god strategist and informer.
Naruto was the most annoying and loud unpredictable ninja in the world. He was an idiot who always preached about becoming Hokage and making others respect him. What he didn't know was that Sasuke already respected him. Naruto and Mika lived alone their whole lives surviving together life a family should.
Then there was Mika Uzumaki. She was a powerful young kunoichi who never wavered. She could be losing the battle and still have the strength to keep going. She always strived to become better. Sasuke had watched her when Kakashi assigned them the task of climbing the trees using chakra at their feet. He had watched her fall and get back up so many times with her brother that he couldn't help but feel respect for them.
Sasuke had felt this feeling a long time ago when his parents were alive but he would never admit it. After he thought that Mika had died by Haku's senbon attack, Naruto and him formed a bond that nothing could break. They both felt as if they had lost something. Sasuke had held a hand on Naruto's shoulder, knowing the feeling that he was going through.
But when Mika opened her eyes, only joy could be felt even though Sasuke would never show it.
'I will always protect you. My friends.'
(end of flashback)
(flashback)
After the battle between Naruto and Sasuke, the Uchiha had felt horrible but yet joyous. He felt horrible for trying to kill his best friend and the girl he loved but he also felt happy that he didn't succeed. Once he thought he had killed Mika, the thoughts of the Land of Waves mission came flooding back to him. The memory of her lifeless body and pale skin, needles like a porcupine sticking up each and every way. It was sickening.
'How could I have tried to kill her?'
He remembered the heinous crime he committed before he left the village. He had tried to rape the girl he loved. He tried to rape his best friend's twin sister. His teammate.
He felt sick. He never wanted to do anything like that. He never would again. He had to forget her and the feelings he felt for her. But the feelings were too strong.
He knew then and there that Naruto was right. He could never break the bond they shared.
A tear ran down Sasuke's cheek.
'I failed you all. My friends.'
He arrived to Orochimaru's lair.
'I'm so sorry'
