HAI! Talk about continuous (okay, continui-sh updates.)
Who have I become...
Ehem. Anyway.
Treble and Bass: I SHALL DELIVER YOUR FLUFF, TREBLE-SAMA *Bows down*
Lizway: I am flattered by the fact that you reviewed this minutes before a trigonometry exam. I'd be even more flattered and not to mention, unbelievably flustered if I didn't do this all the time myself. But I still am flattered. Sometimes, I don't even review anymore because I know I'll fail. And that is literally the best answer I have ever read on anything on the internet.
ZebraBLACKandWHITE: Kagafluff. Kagafluff. That has just officially become my new favorite word. I am now using it forever.
Arrow-chan3: Right! ...OR ARE YOU?! *dramatic music* Whether or not they have already appeared shall be a secret until, probably, one of you guys hunts me down and pulls a gun next to my head ordering me to tell you. Or, um. You know, the right moment.
MoonlightStar777: Thanks for the review :3 YOU HAVE WISHED FOR THE UPDATE AND THE WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED *cue all the magic sparkles and blue fairy dust*
[Prologue] Sheepmaneh: You're the one who didn't stop me from confirming your penname as "SHEEPMANEH".
[Chapter 1] Sheepmaneh: You are going to hold the fact that we're not related and you're still just three hours older against me forever, aren't you. And because I was suddenly struck with writer's block and I kind of felt sadistic :3
[Chapter 2] Sheepmaneh: More like, I annoyed you into reviewing but I'm fine with promised.
[Chapter 3] Sheepmaneh: Yep. I also remember you freaking out because you thought I would put their marriage in the story and I had to kill the mood with a knife by telling you that they were 14 and nope.
[Chapter 4] Sheepmaneh: WHAAAT. I DIDN'T KILL ANYONE IN THIS STORY, YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY, UNNIE.
[Chapter 5] Sheepmaneh: You're not waiting. YOU ARE FREAKING THREATENING TO KILL ME IF I DON'T UPDATE SOON. AND THIS IS A CRISIS BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHERE I KIND OF LIVE.
Just so you guys know, someone predicted the future here...in one of the reviews. You'll know who you are after this chapter. You little psychic you.
Disclaimer: You just love rubbing it in my face, don't you?
I'M NOT HER: CHAPTER SIX: I'm in such a plot twist
I wake up to what I thought was an earthquake and panicked shouts.
It wasn't.
It was Lily shaking me frantically and shouting close to my ear.
"RIN! Oh my god, I forgot that Mom and Dad had to go to work early today and I didn't set my alarm clock. We're late Rin, get up!"
She continued to yell into my ear until I could raise my arms in a defensive position, that didn't really do much defense and tell her to stop.
"Okay. Stop shaking me, I'm up!" I say, gently shrugging Lily's soft hands off my shoulders and groggily got out of my bed.
Before I could ask if she was ready or not, Lily was out of my room and I heard the bathroom next door slam.
Guess not.
I was just about to lay back down for a few more minutes when I caught a glimpse of my analog alarm clock at my bedside.
7:40
School starts in twenty minutes. It takes fifteen minutes to get there on foot, and five minutes to get to my classroom.
"Ah, Ah, shit!" I bolt up, effectively managing to fall down from my bed, bump my head on the small desk, and then hit the cold carpet face flat with a soft 'thud'.
I scrambled to my feet and hastily got ready myself.
I double check my small wrist watch to make sure I read the time correctly.
I did. It's eight o' clock exactly.
And we were a minute away from school.
After Lily and I met downstairs, barely decent enough to be called "ready for school". Lily's usually perfect golden hair was still a bit damp because we the didn't have time for her to blow dry her long hair, and the ribbon to my blouse just hung lazily on my neck, secured inside by my sweater.
We also didn't have time for breakfast.
I push away the growling of my stomach and focus more on the burning sensation of my legs since we had been running all this time.
We had literally just set foot inside of school and started catching our breaths when the warning bell rang, which made us break into mad dashes once more.
I checked my watch again once I was a floor below my classroom.
2 minutes. I was already two minutes late. I'd be four minutes late at best if I ran fast enough.
I run up the long staircase up to my classroom and stand before its doors. I gulp, imagining all eyes on me when I enter the room looking slightly sweaty and a messy uniform.
I closed my eyes and was about to slide the door open when I was interrupted by a voice.
"Looks like you're late too, huh, Rin?" Miku's voice came from behind me.
I spun back to see her tying the last half her large mass of hair into a pigtail.
"Oh, hi Miku," I say, "did you oversleep?"
"Yep."
For some reason, we both start laughing, wryly.
Suddenly, the door slid open, and Miku and I saw our very angry-looking homeroom teacher.
"MISS KAGENE, MISS HATSUNE!" She yelled at us, "What do you two think you're doing?!"
"Gah!"
Tick-tock. Tick-tock. Tick-tock.
Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
We stand in the hallway in silence, listening to the wall clock ticking as homeroom continues on without the two of us in it.
"What a way to start the day—," Miku said silently.
"Huh..."
A few minutes after homeroom ended, Miku and I were let back in and silently squirmed in our seats as we were glared at by our slowly leaving homeroom teacher.
~.Time Skip.~
Setting aside all the amused stares we got from our classmates, it was just another repeat of another day. Same old story, same old book. Covered in dust and shoved upside down in the shelf.
I sigh. It was nearing lunch already, and I was still in the process of imagining how I was going to tell the only friend I've managed to make for five years that I was going to become a Vocaloid. Me.
Talk about the ultimate plot twists. Especially for a natural-born sidekick.
All I have to do is tell Miku that I'm becoming part of a multi-national organization.
I'll can walk up to her and say, "Hey Miku, I'm going to join Crypton Future Media and become a Vocaloid talent!"
I shake my head vigorously at the thought. That's not even going to work in the least bit.
"What's wrong Rin?" I hear the voice of the very person I had to tell the most unbelievable truth to, and look up to see her standing right across my desk table.
"Ah, nothing." I say instinctively.
Other than the fact that I have to tell you I'm going to be singing and recording albums and all the other stuff those popstars on the radios do. I thought.
She looked at me with scepticism before hesitantly waving it off.
"Well then," she grabbed my lunch box with her free hand that wasn't holding her own. "let's go."
"Go where?"
She clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes at me, "Have you honestly been zoned out that much? It's lunch. Time to go to the roof."
"Oh." I stand up from my desk and pull at the ends of my sweater as we walked to the roof, my palms getting sweaty. I was becoming nervous.
Snapping out of my daze for awhile, I notice that unlike most times instead of matching my pace, Miku walked faster to the roof today.
I let it slide, however, when the scent of rust reached my nose and I caught sight of the old metal of the roof's door handle.
Miku pushed open the door and went out into the air outside. I took a big deep breath before I pushed the door and approached Miku.
We ate in silence, only the sirens and growls of the cars the pass by keeping us company.
"I have something to tell you." We both say at the same time, and then we laugh.
"You first." Miku told me and looked at me expectantly.
I took another deep breath and wiped my hands on my skirt. "I...Okay, this is going to sound stupid and unrealistic, but er..I'm becoming a Vocaloid?" I say the last part like a question. I had instinctively flinched back and closed my eyes shut, waiting for Miku's response.
"No way!" she screamed. "I just signed a contract too!" she looked at me with a face that seemed to emit joyous disbelief.
I take back what I had just said a while ago.
This is the ultimate plot twist.
"What! How'd you get the contract?" I started to look her in the eyes. "I auditioned. How about you?"
I calmed down and told her everything from the start and how I was made to impersonate Lily, and how I nearly fell in front of the famous popstar Kagamine Len.
"Wow," she gasped. "that was a lot to take in." We started cleaning up after we finished our lunches.
"Yeah, I know."
We shared silent smiles for awhile, until the bell rang and we were sent back to class.
*fans myself* FILLEEEERRRRR!
Okay, Okay it's short. It's short. Don't murder me.
Don't.
FILLER CHAPTERS ARE PRETTY CHAPTERS TOO. DON'T JUDGE THE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES *pets the screen*
The next ones coming your way...don't know when I'll get motivated (and not by a gun next to my head) but it's coming...
Len's gonna be in the next one, don't worry.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI :3
