Another chapter done, three in one day. I am going to try to get one more but I have two hours before bed so it may not happen. But it is a short chapter so I may be able to get it up before I head to bed.
Chapter 7
Dean continues driving, ignoring his phone vibrating up a storm, he knew it wasn't his dad. One text would be enough to get Dean down to meet him. John had found the wolf responsible for mom's death and Dean wasn't going to miss helping out his dad to get revenge. This was why he had went looking for him, not because he was worried but because he wanted to help. Dean drove two nights to reach his father, the old pick up truck sitting outside the motel, getting out he met his dad by the truck.
"You been taking care of her I see...could be better than that. I gave you her as a gift, she should be well taken care of." John leaned against the door of the truck looking over at his son. Dean winced, he hadn't cleaned her up, too busy driving. His dad didn't really care of the car, but John always had to pick at something so Dean let it be.
"where is he? You said you found him."
"South of here, an old beat up home. He's hiding out there. I got something to help us too, took a long time to get this but it should make this whole situation go by easier." John reaches into his coat pocket, carefully pulling out a gun. Dean scented the silver and curbed his natural reaction to take a step back. Silver bullets, hard to come by anymore but would kill a wolf with one shot. John held the gun out for him to take and he did, holding it warily. "It only has three bullets but that is all you should need. I'm going to challenge him, and while he's distracted shoot him. revenge for your mom and no more problem for the rest of society. He's a menace, we need to stop him." Dean watched as his father roughly pulled open the door, sliding into the truck. He numbly nodding and heading to get in the impala, he hadn't expected this, it felt like cheating but then again, this wolf was more dangerous than any other Dean had even heard about. he had to do this, to keep his pack safe, the longer he was alive the more trouble and pain he would cause. Dean pulled out on the road, following his father. He was glad he had not brought Sam along, and at the same time he regretted it. Sam was the only one who questioned dad's decisions and Dean felt like he should but John could be violent and two alpha's fighting was never a good thing to get started. They both were already tense to each other, Dean didn't want to make it worse, so he would follow but tonight was the last time. He wanted to be the alpha the pack deserved, and following orders wouldn't accomplish that.
The drive takes about an hour and Dean follows carefully as his eyes adjust to the dark. The house is torn up and falling apart, and the wind smells of pine and rotting wood. He tenses up as he gets out of the car, that's all he can smell, and that means that this could be a trap to kill John or that no one is here. The second would be a better option in the older Winchester son's mind. He stays back watching as his dad approaches the house, he doesn't notice until too late, the wolf approaches from behind and he spins around right as the wolf lunges at him. Shifting as he falls, he scrambles to his feet, pacing around the other wolf. Clearly one of YED pack. Younger and not that strong, Dean knows he can take him. He lunges forward, knocking him to the ground and scaring him off. He would rather not have to kill, the yelping sounds draw his attention, the gun is still in the car but that doesn't matter, he's already running down towards the group of wolves and jumping in. He can smell death, multiple but his father's scent is drowned out. Most of them back of, and he looked down at the twitching wolves that slowly turned back human, a low growl that started turning into a mournful howl when he saw his father. He heard a chuckle and dashed forward trying to take down the owner of it. YED easily stepped aside, Dean's rage making him easily to predict.
"So silly now. You should have known how this would end. You didn't even bring the gun, how did you expect to be of any help. You should head home boy or I will kill you as well." He shifted forms, long thin muscles, golden eyes, following Dean as he breathed heavily. He could run back to the car, shift and grab the gun but he was not the type to be seen running. He was sure he could take him. Prowling around, he circled the other wolf, hackles raised as he shifted forward to attack. The others overwhelmed him and he felt teeth dig into his shoulder and tear deeply into skin and rip, another went for his back leg taking him down and YED separated them, leaning down, growling and he would have killed him but a bullet breezed past his head. Dean looked over, shifting back to his human form, cussing loudly. Sam was standing there, pointing the gun at them. Most of the backed off and he moved over and helped Dean get to his feet as much as he could, moving back towards the Impala, and putting him in the back. None of the wolves approached but Sam was still wary as he drove away as fast he could to get Dean back home. He could feel Dean starting to want to shift again, and Sam looks back at him, slowing the impala.
"Dean you need to wait, we aren't back home yet." Dean growls at him, shoving at the car door, and Sam hits the brakes, letting out and watching as he shifted, nearly collapsing afterwards. Sam looked over at his brother and helping him back into the car, before heading back to the pack, letting his brother heal himself. Bobby and Ellen were the first ones out and Sam quietly explained what had happened before guiding Dean back into his room, letting him lay. Dean fell asleep in his wolf form, and Sam sat in one of the chairs to watch over him to make sure he would be alright. He knew he would heal faster this way, but the wounds still worried him. Bobby came in to check his wounds and nearly lost his hand, so Sam figured Dean would be just fine. It was sometime after early morning that Dean shifted back, tugging the covers over him, and falling back asleep. Sam relaxed and got up going back to his own room to fall fast asleep himself.
I am so proud, three chapters done and I plan to keep writing, I haven't got any requests for those two pairings I mentioned so I may not write them or I will wait. I am excited about getting more of the storyline done and moving forward. I may write them out later on and putting them in when I get stuck. Cause I am interesting in writing them so I may instead of putting them in here, make a story just for drabbles from this story. I haven't decided yet. Most of the pairings that I actually will do will be in the story but some added drabbles will go in another one.
