This will likely have four parts interspersed through this series, one for each of the girls. ^^ Enjoy!
Overprotection: Weiss
If there was one thing about Weiss that Ruby hadn't expected from her relationship with the heiress, it was how overprotective the pale girl was of her. She had noticed it first when she had started hitting her growth spurt, growing to a taller height and (naturally) filling out her figure a bit more as she got older. This had certainly caught the attention of more than a few guys, especially with the way she bounded and bounced around practically everywhere. The guys of Beacon (some very nice, and others just complete jerks) had decided to started hitting on her, and it was around this time that Weiss began to take the offensive. For, any time a guy came up to talk to her, she would proceed to hug Ruby's arm and hit them with the iciest, deadliest glare that anyone in the world could create. Depending on the guy's expression (normal or cocky), she would also speak to them. The ones who looked exceptionally confident and cocky were given a fate worse than death. For, if her glare was bad, then her voice was even worse.
"I believe you were about to flirt with my girlfriend, but… That couldn't be, right? Because you were just leaving."
"Oh, don't mind me being here. By all means, continue. I would LOVE to hear what you had to say."
"Hm, this should be amusing. Speak up, you little fool. I could use a good laugh, today." (That one was especially funny, considering Weiss was shorter than most everyone in the school.)
"If you thought you looked presentable enough to come up and hit on this girl, you were very sadly mistaken. Come back when you're dressed properly, so you can be rejected in nice clothes, at least. By the by, the hat goes the other way, you moron."
"If you looked anymore apelike, I'd round up you and your friends to make a zoo. No, wait, that is offensive to apes in every single way."
"There are many mistakes you've likely made in your life, judging by that highly idiotic and, frankly, prehistoric expression on your face. Let's not make the biggest one, shall we?"
Ruby was having trouble deciding if she really liked this side of Weiss or found it very rude. After all, she generally insulted the intelligence of the people that walked over or just glared at them. What if one of these guys were nice, trying to calm off confident, and just wanted to talk about weapons and the like? She WAS Beacon's resident weapon's master and just a year away from procuring her hunting license, after all. Maybe Weiss was being a bit TOO overprotective.
But, on the other hand, she found herself loving the strict tone of voice she used when she did so. It honestly ran chills down her spine in the best sort of way. For some reason, her stern voice was so hot to the redhead. The fact she could scare away people much bigger than her with solely her voice was amazing. Plus, it was a pretty big boost in confidence to know that your girlfriend was ready to protect you from all the potentially cocky jerks out there. So, does that mean she should let her keep doing it?
She didn't know, really. But, Ruby knew she had to say SOMETHING.
She thinks that the point where she realized this was about the time that Yang had stopped being quite so protective of her. When asked why that was, Yang had chuckled and raised her eyebrow. "Are ya kiddin'? Your midget bodyguard's more than capable of doin' most a' the job. I'm just coverin' the spots she may miss."
So, she had decided to do it today. She knew Weiss would be in the dorm and she knew they would be alone, so as not to have to deal with Yang and the remarks that would surely follow. She speeds down the hallway to catch her before she goes to her next class, rose petals bursting from her as she expertly avoids all the students in the hallway despite her high speeds. As she reaches her dorm room, she practically kicks open the door before charging inside.
Much to her girlfriend's displeasure.
"Auugh! Ruby Rose, you dolt! You scared me! What are you doing, just crashing into the door like a lunatic for?"
"I-I wanted to talk to you! Y'know, before you, you went to class? Um, do you have a class? I know we just started our last year, and you haven't shown me your schedule, yet, and I know you're probably going to be real busy. Either way, had to hurry, right? I know you like to be quick and get things ready, so I wanted to be sure I'd catch you and everything, 'cus I wanna talk to you about something and I didn't want Yang to be here, you know how she can get when it comes to relationship-y stuff.. This is kind of an 'us' thing and not a 'Yang listens and drops her two cents' kind of thing, ya know? So, here I am and here you are-" Ruby finds herself babbling slightly, as she always seemed to do when it came to Weiss, before a pale, slender finger is pressed to her lips and effectively silences her.
"Hush." Weiss says in a calm, quiet voice, a voice that she has also developed in her relationship. Comforting and gentle. "Calm down and tell me what you have to say in slow, clear voice. I may speak many languages, but, I don't speak babble."
"S-Sorry, Weiss."
"Think nothing of it, Ruby." Weiss murmurs, slowly pulling the taller girl closer to her and planting a soft kiss to her lips. "Mm. If I didn't want to hear about this 'us thing', I probably would have listened to you babble on a little longer. You get the cutest flush on your cheeks when you do…"
"I, I, r-really?"
"Yes, really." Weiss replies, her fingers starting to absentmindedly trace patterns on her partner's back (much to the redhead's flushed delight) as she presses a few more lingering kisses to soft lips. "Now… I believe you had something you wished to discuss with me?"
"I-I, kiss, t-touch, wow…" Ruby mumbles, her cheeks now thoroughly heated up as she recognizes the way Weiss is acting. This must be one of those kinda days where Weiss became super affectionate behind closed doors, guaranteeing that her brain would be mush the rest of the day. Well, now she has no idea what she was about to say. "I-I, um.. I… I forgot?"
Weiss raises her eyebrow, her lips lightly pursing. "Really? You forgot?"
"Y-Yeah…"
"All that huffing and puffing for nothing?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm sorry, Weiss-" She starts, only to be cut off by Weiss' soft lips being pressed to her own.
Weiss says nothing, kissing her girlfriend before slowly pressing the taller girl's back against the wall. "You dolt. Well, tell me when you remember, I suppose… Though… I also had something I wished to discuss with you…" The pale girl finally purrs, a sweet smile coming to her face.
Ruby's eyes widen ever further, her jaw dropping as her cheeks now set ablaze. "R-Really? W-What's that, Weiss?" She asks, gulping quietly.
"Well, it involves me, a certain redheaded soon-to-be huntress, and a roommate-less room for a minimum of two whole hours… I'm sure you can put the puzzle together from the pieces I gave you." Weiss replies, tracing down the tie on Ruby's uniform before wrapping her hand around it and giving a gentle tug.
"I-I know what you're talkin' about, Weiss…"
"So? What say you, then?"
Ruby gulps quietly, stammering out a murmur of 'you wanna do it?'.
"Well, that's a rather vulgar way of putting it. Blunt, and without the slightest hint of romance."
Ruby sighs, rolling her eyes. "Would milady like-est me to make love to her loins? For, I shall-"
"Now you're just being silly." Weiss pouts, moving to trace her fingers down Ruby's spine all the way to the small of her back.
"W-What do you WANT me to say?" Ruby asks, squeaking as Weiss' hands begin to slowly stroke the area through her clothes. "I'd really love to do you?"
"No."
"Rev your engine?"
"No."
"Um… Make whoopee?"
"No."
"Do the dance with no pants?"
"Ew. And, no."
"I-I've really got to stop listening to Yang talk about her nights with Blake, don't I?"
"Yes."
"Well, it's really hard to concentrate on being romantic when you're currently turning my brain to goo."
"How so?"
"Well, your magic hands on my rear are certainly doing the trick."
"Oh, really? I hadn't even noticed they were there…"
"I don't think I'm the only one who needs to stop listening about Yang's nights with Blake."
"You're probably right. But, whatever way you say it, you are still mine for the next two hours…" Weiss says with a light bite on her own lip before leaning up to kiss Ruby gently. Though, it's obvious that Weiss is steering the kiss away from just a simple one and more toward what Yang referred to as 'Make-Out Central'. In fact, she realizes that Weiss is even more excited when she feels slender fingers starting to un-do the buttons of her uniform. The pale heiress may look small and somewhat fragile, but she could be completely dominant when she wanted to be. She may be a bit of a prude, sometimes, but she certainly was freer once she was sure no one else was going to interrupt her.
It had taken her a long time to become comfortable enough to actively do this, to take the lead. As, while she was fierce in battle and high in intelligence, she was initially very iffy about physical contact. She would get nervous holding Ruby's hand, bashful even. Her cool aura would sometimes act up, causing numerous instances of frozen hands and squeaky exclamations of apology. So, for Ruby to see Weiss taking charge like this was certainly an alluring thing to see.
Though, it also brings what she had wanted to talk about back to her mind. Weiss and her fierce protection to anybody that came to talk to her. But, having learned from years of being with Weiss, she doesn't want to say it outright. That would either make her upset or frustrated, neither of which Ruby wanted to see on her girlfriend's face.
She takes the moment to speak when Weiss moves down from her lips and begins gently kissing at the skin of her neck. "Hey, Weiss?"
"Mm?"
"You know I love you, right?"
Weiss pauses in her kissing a bit to peer her icy eyes up into silver. "Yes. You say it, on average, approximately one five hundred times in a given week. Why?"
Ruby bites her lip, a little disappointed for letting herself make that unbelievably soft kissing stop. "And, you know I like you and only you, right?"
"Ruby… Where is this going?"
Ruby realizes how serious her girlfriend's voice has gotten, her expression halfway between angry and hurt. Oh… She's taking this the wrong way!
"No, no! Nothing like that! I just want to make sure you know that!"
"I do… Carry on."
"Well, um… The relationship-y thing I wanted to talk to ya about was, um… You're going after people pretty hard when they want to talk to me… You've been doin' it and I… think you should… cool down a bit? Um, no pun intended."
Weiss blinks a few moments as she repeats Ruby's words in her head. "You think I'm being over-protective?"
"Kinda, but… I'm not sayin' DON'T do it. I'm just saying… at least let someone start to talk. I mean, for all I know, they could have just been wanting to talk to me. I AM a weapon's expert and an awesome lady… Sometimes… Sometimes, it takes a lot of confidence to talk to someone. You have to LOOK confident, too. So, I don't think it's fair to cut them down without them saying a word. But, you have to know that, even if they DID start hitting on me, I'm never going to go with any of 'em. I'm with you, Weiss. And, I don't want anything other than you. Heh, and that Schnee booty~"
Weiss looks at Ruby for a few moments before a slow smile comes to her face, an eyebrow raising. "That would have been a lot more profound without the 'booty' line."
"Heh, can't help it…"
"Ruby, I get what you're saying. I just… I know you love me and I know that I'm cutting off potentially nice people when I glare at them or say these things to them, but…"
"What is it, Weiss?"
"I'm a little selfish, when it comes to you…" She murmurs gently, quietly nestling her face into the crook of Ruby's neck. "Is it… bad that I want you all to myself?"
Ruby smiles a bit, gently wrapping her arms around the small heiress. "Nah… It's not bad. I feel that way about you, sometimes, too. But, I'll clue ya in on a little secret…"
"Hm? And, what is that?"
"When I'm feeling a little selfish for some Weiss, I take advantage of any… free time I have…"
Weiss smirks slightly, moving her lips to press against Ruby's neck once more. Her eyes close, long lashes standing out against her pale skin. "I see…"
"So… We cool?"
"Yes, Ruby. We are… 'cool'. I'll try not to glare at people trying to talk to you as much… But, if they DO hit on you and I don't like it…"
"Sweetie, you can go full Schnee Insults on them." Ruby replies with a chuckle, her hands moving down Weiss' back. "Now… I do believe you were doing something we both liked~?"
"Of course, you dolt."
From then on, Weiss would certainly raise an eyebrow at people who came up to Ruby… But, she would allow them to speak to her. Ruby was right. A lot of people really did just want to talk to her, one guy even just wanting to know how she managed to keep her sniper rifle in the scythe without causing it to become unbalanced. Weiss was happy to see that Ruby found some other men and women to be a weapon junkie with. Though, the next time someone hit on her, their grin full of desire…
"Where did you get your romantic speech? A joke book? Because, that's what it is… A joke."
