Elton frowned. They had come to another clearing, the tenth one, if he was correct in his assumption...But this one was different...The snow had been replaced by a whitish liquid surrounding the stump.
"Well...It's changed." He offered. Emcee frowned, kneeling down, she held her hand slightly above the pool.
"It's cold...Liquid snow then I guess."
"Wouldn't that be water?"
"Perhaps." Emcee stood.
"So is the snow melting?"
"Wouldn't that mean that mean the time loop isn't working?" Elton pointed out, The woman though for a brief moment. Emcee looked around, an abnormally fat squirrel darted across the forest floor.
"Look!" She shouted. Elton turned.
"So...everything in here is affected by the time loop?" He asked, "Or...whatever is going on?" The Squirrel turned, looking at them before darting into the pool, which bubbled before going still once more. "Don't touch that." Elton said.
Oz walked into the bar, he paused. Things were...different...The time was still the same...But there wasn't a pool table anymore...If there ever was a pool table. The time was still the same as it always had been...But...He walked outside. Tom's Bar And Grill. "It was either Mike's every time I end up here." There was the same old man, the same bar so at least those were consitent. He looked at the old man before looking up at the sign.
MIKE'S BAR AND GRILL.
Well, thought Oz, At least they're paying attention. He looked at the old man, standing stock still, he reached into his pocket, pulling out a coin. He flipped it once. Heads. He flipped it again. Heads.
Again. Heads.
Again. Heads.
Again. Heads.
Oz threw the coin into the air, caught it and threw it to the ground, stepping on it. He moved his foot. Heads. He sighed, "Shit." He walked back to the truck, got in and drove off.
Elton continued walking, He had left Emcee at the clearing. It was really the only way to be sure if this really was, in fact, a loop. After a half an hour, he came to a clearing. There was a stump, there were the trees, but the murky white liquid covered the entire clearing. He turned.
"Emcee? Emcee?" Elton looked around, he took out his cellphone, trying to call her cellphone. Nothing but static. He frowned. "Damn." A snapping branch sounded behind him. The man turned around, there was a Grizzly Bear.
Oh shit. Behind Blue Eyes appeared over his shoulder, ready for the bear to make an attack. The Bear stood up on it's hind legs, and became to convulse wildly, it gurgled and choked. Elton took a step to the side, circling the clearing, only to notice that the pool had begun to boil and foam.
Oz walked up to the Old Man, standing stock still. What the name of the Bar was, He didn't know, and he didn't care. He punched the man as hard as he could, only to stagger back, clutching his hand, it was punching a brick wall. The Old man stared at him without much interest, and than, silently, the crowd of people exited the bar, making a silent, and menacing circle around the stand user, before, like zombies they became to walk towards him.
Emcee sat against the tree, waiting for Elton to return. Poets Of The Fall stood watch over her. She leaned back. "Do you really think it was worth it?" The stand turned to her. "Taking this job." She elaborated. The Stand shrugged it's shoulders, Emcee looked around, next to her, a fat squirrel sat on it's haunches. Emcee looked at it. "Kinda cute." Might be rabid. Eh, she had her stand. The Squirrel screeched at her, the pool exploding upwards, floating in a swirling ball of liquid. "What the hell is it?!" Emcee shouted at her stand, only to freeze as a hoarse voice echoed from all sides of the clearing;
"Here, we are God."
