Hey ya'll, it's Ender! I hope you're having a great day and I hope to make it even better with this new chapter! NOTE: I do not own Minecraft or any YouTubers mentioned, and really, I don't own anything except this story.

Chapter 7

Taylor snapped open his eyes to find another young man glaring down at him, his mouth twisted into a frown and a very angry expression on his face.

He yelped and scrambled away from the newcomer, suppressing a whimper as he scraped his wounded arm against the ground. Jordan jumped so hard that he completely flew out of his sleeping roll, staring at the man with wide blue eyes.

The young man glared at them for a few seconds longer, leaving Taylor the opportunity to study what he looked like. He had on dark sunglasses that completely hid his eyes and had slightly curly brown hair that looked like it desperately needed a trim. He wore a dark grey and black long sleeved T-shirt and black pants that were torn and frayed near the bottom. His hands – which were clenched into fists – were covered by black gloves and there was a golden sword hanging from a belt around his waist.

But what really caught Taylor's eye was the amulet shining around the man's neck. It was exactly like Taylor's – a shining amethyst set in gold.

'What the – that shouldn't be possible! Every amulet made was supposed to be completely different!'

'You – you mean there's more?'

'Yes. There were originally four amulets – meant for four specific people. The master, of course, the sorcerer or wizard, whichever you prefer, the gatekeeper, and the destiny, or the chosen. Each amulet's wearer was supposed to fit what the amulet was meant for, even if that wasn't their original fate. Taylor, your fate now is to control me, the destiny. I have the power to change fate, if I want to. I don't do it too often though. It could possibly vaporize me if I tried to change any big events. But if we were to work together then we could change the fate of the world.'

'I don't want to change the world.'

'What if we got your parents back?'

'…This conversation is over.'

"I asked you a question," The other man snarled threateningly, his hand resting on the pommel of his sword. "What are you doing in my home?"

"Listen sir," Jordan began nervously, swallowing. "We didn't know you lived here in this – uh – cave. We'll get out of here as soon as we can. We're – we're sorry."

"Good," The young man grumbled. Taylor quickly moved to pack up his bedroll but as he did so, the amulet slipped out from where it had been tucked underneath his shirt. The man gasped and Taylor froze, halfway bent over with the amulet swinging slightly through the air.

"Where – did you find it?" The man asked, pointing a trembling finger at Taylor's amulet. Taylor slowly straightened up at stared at the young man. Jordan was glancing back and forth between the two, tense with apprehension.

"First, tell us your name," Taylor demanded, his stomach churning. What could an amulet possibly mean to this stranger?

"Sky," The young man replied after a bit of hesitation. "My name is Sky. And I think we need to have a talk."

XxX

Sky had led Jordan and Taylor back to a second, smaller cave connected to the main one that neither of them had noticed before. He had refused to speak about why he had reacted in such a way to Taylor's amulet until they were all seated in a loose triangular pattern. Sky asked Taylor to explain his story and he did, with Jordan chiming in during bits and pieces.

After Taylor had told Sky everything that had happened in the past days, the latter was silent, apparently lost deep in thought. Finally, he took a deep breath and began to speak.

"I am very familiar with amulets. I have devoted my life to studying them and learning everything there is to know about them. In fact, I created this one," Sky gestured towards his own amulet, "And modeled it after your own in hopes that it would be able to create a power source for me to channel magic and such. To sum it up, it failed, but it still remains as my charm of power, the only amulet in this world that doesn't harbour a curse.

"But anyway, to more concerning topics. I used to train people in how to control their charms of power. And I can see the look on your face – I'm only thirty-four, but I was able to train a good many people on how to create energy using their charms. Then, I retreated to this cave when the pressure became too much for me. I lived on my own for about five months before my next interaction with another human.

"One day, a boy came to me, a little younger than yourself. He had brought his friend with him – a furry creature and to this day, I'm still not sure what it was exactly. Anyway, he also wore an amulet. It was quite simple, just dog tag suspended on a silvery chain. But it was powerful and the boy was scared about his fate. I tried to help him, especially when he kept telling me that there was a voice in his head that kept telling him to do evil things. Sadly, tragedy struck after just a month.

"One night in the dead of winter, I heard a scream come from where the boy and his friend were sleeping. I ran to see what had happened and the sight that greeted me was horrifying.

"The boy's friend lay sprawled on his side, blood staining and clumping his fur. His dark eyes were glassy and I realized quickly that he had been murdered. But what was worse was the boy. He had a sword driven through his chest and his amulet was cast onto the floor next to him, glinting hungrily.

"I picked up the amulet, trembling. I was immediately cast into a swirl of memories – the boy slaughtering his friend, a choked sobbing noise, and then positioning his own bloody sword over his heart. It was horrible. The amulet had forced the boy to kill his own friend, but once it had relinquished its control, the boy had felt so upset that he killed himself. Then the amulet whispered two words to me. 'The gatekeeper.'

"What could I do? I watched as the boy's spirit rose up from his body, gave me a sad glance, and then vanished. He was teleported to guard the entrance to Herobrine's realm, to warn travelers and turn them back. I went to confront him once, but all he ever said was that he was the gatekeeper. That was never enough to satisfy me, but there wasn't anything else I could do.

"And now you two come, one with an amulet that has supposedly helped you, yet you say that it is the one with the ability to control fate. I am no longer sure what to believe. I don't know if I can be of any aid to your quest in its current state, but I do know that you have to destroy the amulet. If you don't, our world could fall. And if I'm correct, then that particular amulet has not had a wearer in over a century. Its power must be stirring, causing great disruptions in this world. You've already noticed the dead rising. It will get worse. Very quickly. Monsters from the myths and legends will arise once again. The Withers will spawn in the Overworld. And worst of all, the dragons will become vicious and dangerous, attacking everything in sight. You have to stop this. Destroy the amulet and save our world."

Silence.

Taylor could hear his heart beating and could see Jordan trembling, staring at Sky with wide eyes.

'Taylor…?'

'Wha – what is it?'

'I'm sorry.'

So... that happened. I was debating over who should be the Gandalf-like person... just saying now, if it hadn't been Sky, it would have been Wag. (I know some of you will have no clue who I'm talking about, but that's alright!)

Random Observation: I will be singing in a concert today and tomorrow with the group my mom has been singing with since before I was born. I'm kind of nervous but at the same time I'm not, because I'm very familiar with the group - it's just some of the songs are kind of rough for me. (I can't actually read music, in case you didn't know.)

Phoenix-Magic: Yup! And thanks!

ironhideandratchet4ever: I second that! XD

RusYRP: So many unknowns... soon to be known. You may find the next chapter a little... interesting. ;)

DiamondScribe: "Oh, well, thank you very much, very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming." *starts to read*

PurpleSnow10: Sadly, I don't really watch anybody from Yogscast. I watch mostly Mianite or Epic Proportions. Sorry to disappoint you though. :(
