It was the next day when the search for Alice began. The four each got up, Marchy first, then Hatter, next Dormouse, and last, as always, Savior Prince. Jack had to grab his laptop and some wires, Hatter needed to find his knife and throwing knives shaped like hats, Dormouse had to eat, and Marchy found a carrot and some money. Then, in secret they hopped into the van, Jack stretched out in the back, still tired.
"Any idea where this Alice chick is, Jack?" asked Marchy, turning a corner.
"Hmm, not sure, d'ya think we should check with White?"
"Maybe Caterpillar," suggested Marchy.
"I vote Cheshire; he's seen everything, the ninja. Can you find him, Jack?" asked Hatter, climbing back to Jack.
"I can try," Jack replied. "Maybe the Tweedles know… Can I use your phone, Marchy?"
"Sure," replied Marchy, handing back the cell with ease, eyes not leaving the winding road.
There was a quiet conversation as Jack spoke with the Tweedles, filled with 'what the hells' and 'stop switching the phone, dammit's.
"I think they said he's in the forest, close to the lake…" said Jack, brows furrowed.
"That'll be awhile, I can't use the main roads. Unless you can get them to stop, that is."
Opening his laptop, Jack got into his mom's command center and canceled the search for them.
"It's good, just go as fast as you can. I'm gonna sleep."
"Move over then," commanded Hatter.
