Happy New Year everyone. Here is a new chapter. I went back and made some changes in the previous chapters. Nothing too drastic, just some things that needed better flow and I forgot to add a couple of things previously that needed to be there for later. Its been a while. Sorry about that, but I hope you enjoy the new chapter.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, I just enjoy playing with the characters.

Chapter 5

Petunia-

When Harry ran out the door, his magic locking it behind him, I was terrified. I knew he didn't mean the things he said, he was just trying to lash out. His mother did the same and I had seen his father do the same when they had fought. He had too much of his mother in him, but he had just as much of James and Sirius in him as well and it was causing him to go out of his mind. I couldn't follow him; I could only pray that he returned to me. The best thing I could do would be to just wait until he came back home, until then I would do my best to clean the place up. When Harry came back, I didn't want him to become morose at the damage.

It was a couple of hours later before the rain began to lesson. I was nodding off in the corner chair when I was suddenly jerked awake by a soft knock on the front door. I quickly got up and opened the door. I wanted to cry in relief when I saw Harry there. He was soaked to the bone, but he looked calmer than I'd seen him in almost a year. There was another girl with him and she looked a right mess. I hurriedly ushered them inside.

"Go sit by the heater, the both of you. I'll grab a couple of towels and some clothing. You guys need to get dried and out of those wet clothes. And then you have better give me some kind of explanation for what the fuck was going on with you tonight." I suppose it showed how pissed/upset I was with my language. I usually avoided foul language as I didn't want to give Harry a bad example, but then again he was his mother's son and that alone was bad enough. Before I could go to the other room, the girl rushed over to me and threw herself at me.

I was stunned, but I quickly wrapped my arms around her shivering form, I couldn't quite make out what she was saying, but it sounded like, "Thank you mum. Thank you so much for caring for him….bringing him back to me." I murmured comforting sounds in her ears until she calmed. She was still a shivering mass, but once she was calm I place her next to Harry who had already stripped to his under garments. I motioned that he should help her and I went to get the towels and some dry clothing.

A few moments later, they were cuddled together on the couch, well it was more like she was grabbing onto my nephew for dear life and he was putting up with it. I'd seen the same look on his father's face when he would look upon Lily and Sirius. It was breathtaking to see it again. I knew that everything was going to be alright.

I built the fire up to keep the children warm and then wrapped a blanket around them. I shuffled to the chair across them. Harry was starting to fall asleep but the girl, even though she was clutching him for dear life, was still wide awake.

I don't know why I waited until he fell asleep, but I did. Once he was sleeping, the girl shifted so that she was leaning against him, but no longer grabbing him so tightly.

I waited for her attention to turn to me, it took a few moments, but she seemed more focused than she had been before when she'd glomped me.

She snorted in amusement. "I have a friend who will do the same thing in a few years."

I furrowed my brow in confusion, "The eye brow thing. I think she learns it from you."

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I really had never wanted to deal with another seer in my life. Lily had been bad enough, Harry was close to being a seer but his gift was a bit different, it seemed that this girl was touched by fate. I wondered if I would live to see her become a catalyst…

"I'm not you know."

"What?" I murmured, my thoughts elsewhere.

"I'm not the catalyst. I am however a seer, I'm the strongest of my line and no I can't read your mind. Not exactly anyway. I see possibilities and the longer I am in someone's presence the easier I can read that person. "

"That doesn't reassure me."

"I'm sorry. But it's not me who's the catalyst, its Harry. His mam was one; it would be seemly that he would be one as well." She shrugged. "Fate has her hand in things, the only thing we can really do is go with the flow at the moment. We have time."

I scoffed, "That's what Lily thought and then she started to lose herself."

"True, I won't deny that, but we do have time, in fact we have several years to prepare, to get ready. Granted we don't have a lot of time to just be children, but can you say Harry was ever just a child?"

I shook my head, "No, he's always been older than his age would project. He's his parents' child and that in itself…"

"You know you're different?"

"I'm sorry?" I asked at the interruption. She was all over the place. She was far worse than Lily had been.

"Once upon a time there was a young woman who married a vile man. She became estranged from her sister that she had once loved so very much. They lived an ordinary life and then one day tragedy struck and they were forced to take in the son of the sister that she hated so very much. She did not care for this child as her own. She should have, but she hated the reminder of happier times and hated the fact that he lived when she did not. She became bitterer as the child grew up. He was humble, more so than anyone had expected. He survived things that many adults would never have, but he did not question, he did not want anything but a simple life. He had a mentor who taught him many things and he loved him very much, but did not see the betrayal until far too late. The mentor fell in battle one day, a battle that he had set up and the child was so very helpless to do anything but watch."

I wanted to interrupt but she continued on, "After such a loss, he wanted revenge, but things had already been set. He went through many trials and eventually triumphed like none before him had ever. He became the Master, the Master of Death. He died and then came back. He killed the evil that had wanted to destroy the world and at his greatest triumph he wished for something that Fate decided he should have…a second chance…

"But Fate is a fickle mistress and she wanted something more, so she went back and created a catalyst in a young girl who would help change the world. The child broke but was renewed with purpose. This young girl had a sister whom she loved very much but didn't know how to show it as the years went on. This young girl met two young boys. She was very amused by the boys and somehow tricked the elder of the two into a blond bond, making them family by the old familial magiks. A few years later the children, now adults all bonded and tied their life lines together. They may not have lived happily ever after, but they had several years of bliss. Eventually the girl had a small child of her own, but she was growing weaker and knew that her time was coming to an end." I wanted to know how she knew this, but she wouldn't let me have a word edge-wise.

"So the girl came up with a plan that she knew wouldn't be followed so she came up with three more, each one of them with the same ending result, the boy would live. It was possible he would be unhappy, uncared for or unloved, but he would live. He could be insane or mad with power, but he would live. But Fate still had her tricks and created a situation that could eventually be broken and the boy ended up loved by the original embittered woman who had started it all. Now the loop is coming to a close and new decisions are being made every day.

"Petunia, the facts are this:

1-Lily was fucking crazy.

2-Lily married two very powerful men who both loved her very much

3-Harry was born from their union

4-Lily created the blood wards, knowing the consequences to both you and her son, but because they would keep him safe, she didn't care.

5-Sirius was sacrificed for the bigger picture and unfortunately none of us can save him, he must save himself or loose himself. We will help him when he comes.

6-Harry is going to become more powerful but he's anchored through me so even though it will be unprecedented he will be okay.

7- As he becomes more powerful I will become less lucid. But it is a price I am willing to pay.

8-I'm not always going to be here in the present and it's only going to get worse as I get older.

9-You're far more special than you know.

10-This world is going to burn and he will reshape it."

"Wait." I had to stop her there. It was all too much. I hadn't wanted to know this, hell why would anyone want to know any of this. "Yes, Lily was crazy, but she was my sister and yes I hate her for some of the things that she did, but I love her even more. How do you know all of this? Does Harry know this?"

"Hmmm," She seemed to be thinking about it. Her eyes grew foggy and she seemed to be drifting, but Harry stirred and she looked at him and smiled and seemed to come back to the present and remembered what she was saying, "Yes…otherwise I wouldn't know yet. I know everything that I do, because I have been around people who already know part of the story. Since I am around you and your nephew, I can see things that you wouldn't necessarily know, but because Lily was such a strong influence in your life, I can SEE. It helps that I can blend some of my power with Harry's own familial magik. It allows me to SEE some things I would otherwise be completely blind too. Most everything I just told, I only learned as I was saying it aloud to you.

"I told you I don't live in the present. Having this conversation is taking every bit of concentration that I have and I'm not going to be completely here for much longer." She drifted off andI could already see the clarity recede. It was like looking back into the past when my sister would have her episodes in those early days. When her cursed gift became too much she would drift off until she found her way back. Once our grandmother had taught her to control it, she didn't drift off. I rubbed my eyes in exhaustion and wondered if it would be like Lily all over again. I hoped not.

I wanted to ask her more, but Harry woke up and she drifted further away. He looked at her and for a moment I could see the man and woman they would become. He was as handsome as his fathers had been and more powerful than his mother had been able to become but just as deadly. She was as stunning as an eclipse and just as deadly as the sun. He kissed her brow and I laughed, clutching my sides, tears streaming down my face. I was apparently not as mundane as everyone had always thought. Something was clawing at the edge of my memories, a forgotten face? No it was a dream I'd had the night Harry had been born. A dream Lily had locked away, but had broken free at the glimpse of their future selves.

The night had been long. We were waiting. Waiting for the perfect time and that was the beautiful thing about this night, we had time. Something my beloved sister had run out of, something that we had all feared Harry would run out of.

Harry was smirking at a youth the same age as himself. I didn't catch what he said, I was too busy observing the young woman at him side. I shifted, moving the gun strapped to my back into a more comfortable position. Luna looked at me and smiled. I couldn't hear was she said, it didn't matter, it would come with time.

Sirius looked insanely fierce at his son's side. After being pulled from the veil his mind had unhinged further than Azkaban could ever had caused. But it was okay, because he was fiercely loyal to Harry and I think that had been Lily's end game in the end. She had wanted us to be loyal to her son. No matter how we felt about her in the end, she wanted that unwavering loyalty to Harry.

Lily had had my unwavering loyalty and love, but by betraying be she had been able to shift it all to her son. She had once been my everything and then she died and gave me Harry and he became my focus for the innate magik I carried underneath my skin.

I was going to help them destroy this rancid, stagnant world. I couldn't use magik like they could, but I was a damn good shot, in fact I'd won 1st place in speed and accuracy for the last ten years at the club. No one could hold a candle to my records. I was to take cover and snipe the foolish ones who dare raised their wand against my nephew and his wife. The youth was going to take care of the dark armies. He'd either destroy them or convert them to the new cause. There was no in between. He was the general after all. Luna and Sirius would fight at Harry's side taking down their enemies that stood between them and the Kings of the convoluted chess game we'd been playing since Lily was 5.

After enough time had passed, this war would be over. The ministry had already fallen, everyone had thought it was the creature who only played at being a dark lord that had caused the fall, but they'd be wrong. My brilliant nephew had destroyed the infrastructure of the magical world and now all that was left was to take care of a couple of pests that just wouldn't fucking die and then the wizarding world would fall at his feet.

The sounds of battle were starting to pick up. Soon it was going to be a glorious blood bath. After all it was always darkest before the dawn and even though no one down there knew it, this world was going to burn.

Fuck…As the memory merged back into my consciousness I swore I heard the tinkling laugh of my sister. Harry looked at me as Luna drifted off to sleep and smiled. I closed my eyes and offered a quick blessing to the fates.
