Yamamoto Takeshi X Reader

7th:

"Sacrifice"

Giving up my life would be better than you giving up yours. But that what I'd thought.

"Why (Name)? Why did you do that?" he whispered softly as he sat down beside you. He took your hand in his palms and used the other free hand to brush the stray fringe from your face.

"Takeshi…" He heard his name being called from behind. His father stood at the doorway with a sad smile as he walked towards him. Questioningly, Yamamoto looked at him as his father pushed the small velvet box into this palm.

"I believe (Name) has a reason for doing this son." He said as he patted on this son's back before leaving the room.

Yamamoto opened the box to see the diamond ring seated in the lush padding of the box. Wiping his tears, he slid the ring onto her ring finger and continued to pray for her recovery.

The day before.

"Hi Dad!" you called out happily as you entered the sushi restaurant. It was a natural occurrence for you to feel that Yamamoto Tsuyoshi as a father as the two of you have been dating for almost 10 years. He treated you just as a daughter in-law.

He smiled as he sharpened his cutting knife. "How's Takeshi, (name)?"

"He's coming back in the evening and will be coming here for dinner." You replied as you put on the apron.

Throughout the years, you have picked up quickly and helped his father around the house and his restaurant. His father poured the hot ocha into 2 cups before serving it on the table and sat opposite you.

"How's everything for the both of you?" he asked as he placed one of the hot tea in front of you and rested in his seat. You could see how he had aged throughout the years and saw the growing similarity between Takeshi and his father.

"We're still in the midst of holding the wedding ceremony later on. The both of us have been busy with our jobs and thus pushing the ceremony later on." You replied as you took a sip from your cup. "By the way, I would like to take the old childhood photographs of Takeshi home to collate for our wedding ceremony."

You see his father smile and eyes watered slightly as he placed his cup down. "It's a miracle to see this boy has grown up and finally getting married to a wonderful girl. Hold on, I'll get the photographs for you." He said as he stood up and head to the back of the restaurant where it was connected to the main house.

You shifted your gaze to the clock as you see his father walking away.

'45 minutes.' you thought to yourself as you whipped out the sleeping pill stashed in your bag. Pulling the capsule apart, you poured the powder into the tea and used a spoon to stir the contents. You slipped the velvet box into your pocket and carried the drug laced tea to the house.

Behind the connecting door was the kitchen of the main house. You opened the door with a practiced hand, careful not to spill the tea and passed the kitchen to enter into the main hall.

You loved the traditional Japanese home that the Yamamoto's have, which give you the homely feel which is not present in the present apartments. Sliding the shoji door, you see his father sitting at the kotatsu, flipping through the photo albums that were slightly discolored due to time.

Sensing a presence in the room, he looked up and saw you closing the shoji door. "Oh, I'm sorry that I took so long! I was reminiscing the photographs and forgot for a second that I needed to bring these to you."

He said as placed some of the albums on the kotatsu. "Nope! It's alright! I was hoping to see all of the photographs too. I've brought your tea along." You said as you sat down beside him, placing the tea in front of him.

"Thank you." He said as he picked up the tea and drink a few sips before placing it back down. He flipped some of the pages of the album and showed you some of the photographs of Takeshi when he was young. '20 minutes.' You glanced at the clock before continuing to listen to the little stories behind each of the photographs.

You could hear his father's voice starting to slow down, his eyes blinking as he was trying the fight the drowsiness upon him. You smiled and nodded in reply to him as you see him closing his eyes. "Sorry (name), I feel a little sleepy. It must be my age." He said as he flipped the album. You feel that its about time to tell the truth as you dug through your pocket for the velvet box.

"Dad, please tell Takeshi that I'm sorry." You said as you placed the velvet box on the table.

He gave you a questionable look but you could see that the drug was working its effects on him. You felt the pain of guilt when you see your father-in-law looking at you curiously.

"Why (name)?" he asked softly before his eyes closed and the top half of his body fall onto the table top.

"It's worth the sacrifice." you whispered as you placed a blanket around his shoulders, hoping that he won't catch a cold.

Before opening the connecting door to the restaurant, you run though the set of instructions once again in your mind. You could sense the fear running through your body as you thought of the consequence of the set of instructions given by your future-self. 'Death is unavoidable but it can happen.' You remembered the line as you read through the instructions repeatedly.

As you entered the restaurant from the main house, you felt a shiver down your spine. Eyes scanning around the room for any danger, you see that you still had 5 minutes left on the clock. Locking the connecting door to the main house, you walked into the restaurant slowly. The goosebumps on your skin rising suddenly but you knew that you still had some time. There was no one in the restaurant, but you felt someone watching you. When you wanted to lock the main shoji door of the restaurant, you saw something glimmered for a second. Before you could turn, someone was covering your mouth to muffle your scream.

"What a find." You heard a voice from behind. The subordinate was holding you and made you turn to face the voice, which was probably the leader. "Just when I thought I could hurt his father, I found his fiancée." The leader said as he walked closer towards you. You glared at him, knowing that this was the man who killed Takeshi's father in the past. The instructions given by your future self was to prevent this from happening.

"Revenge is sweet." He smiles as he used his sword to graze your cheek. He was wearing the hakame and you saw the emblem on it which reminded you of the recent mission Takeshi went. "You're from the Ando clan which joined the Millefiore famiglia." You said which made him raise his eyebrow upon hearing it.

"You're right." He laughed as he looked at you. "You're smart and I'll give you credit for it." He paused before looking at you. "Did your fiancé tell you about the mission he went recently?"

You shook your head as you watch the man's eyes turn sad for a moment before returning to its hateful gaze. "Your fiancé killed my wife." He said as he pointed the sword to your face.

Shock ran through your body as you hear the news. "No, it can't be."

The man smiled as his eyes was disappointed. "But he did. That's why I think the gods today are giving me my revenge." With that said, the katana pierced into your body. You felt the crimson liquid flowing out as you fell to the ground. Your vision narrowing as you see a darkness closing onto you.

[END OF 7th CHAPTER]

Thank you for reading! When I was typing this out, I was thinking about the scenarios, looking though each idea I had.
