25 Reasons We Didn't Know We Loved Miles Edgeworth
#7- Stirring Baritone
"Can't you at least give us a clue?" Edgeworth asked and Maya cringed a little under his stern gray stare.
"Uh..." Maya began, "I gave him my word, Mister Edgeworth. It's supposed to be a surprise."
Edgeworth made a noise in his throat and tugged Pess along as he headed up the sidewalk. Maya, Larry and Pearls followed him to his building and into the garage.
Edgeworth stopped and glared at Larry, "Why are you still here?"
"Aw Edgey!" Larry said simpering, "I'm just hanging out with my BFF!"
Edgeworth's brow furrowed, "What's a Bee Eff—"
"Come on! Are we going to stand in this boring garage ALL DAY?!" Maya exclaimed impatiently.
Edgeworth gave her a look, one eyebrow raised sharply.
Maya giggled, "I'm sorry. It's just that we've been standing here—"
Edgeworth sighed, "Fine, get upstairs then, all of you."
"Yes!" Maya started jogging up the stairwell with Pearl in tow.
"You should probably go home now," Edgeworth glared at Larry.
Larry frowned at him. His eyes glistened with barely repressed tears.
"Aw Edgey, man," he said, "I don't have anywhere to go..."
Edgeworth's brow twitched, "Really?"
"Yeah man," Larry's tears started to stream down his cheeks in twin rivers, "I lost my job today. My BFF is totes trying to get rid of me... This is the—"
"Very well, then," Edgeworth groaned, "You can come up too. Just don't... Don't do anything strange."
Larry threw his arms around Edgeworth's neck, "Edgey! You're the best!"
"Get... OFFA ME!"
Upstairs the girls had enlisted the aid of Edgeworth's butler in securing a copious amount of buttered popcorn and were engaged in watching Steel Samurai the Movie 3: The
Battle for Neo Olde Tokyo.
Edgeworth and Larry entered the flat with Pess in tow. Edgeworth was sullen, head down and frowning, and he refused to look at any of them as he made his way toward his room.
"Thank you for seeing to my... guests, Mister Wellington," He muttered before he disappeared into the back of the flat.
"Dude, is he mad?" Larry asked the butler.
The old man smiled gently and cocked his head toward the living room where Maya and Pearls were sitting. Larry glanced at them.
"Should I just go watch that movie?" He asked.
"Very good, sir," Wellington nodded.
"What about Edgey? Is he—"
"Mister Edgeworth will be along shortly."
Larry walked reluctantly toward the sitting room where the movie was playing, he looked at Maya and then Pearl, "What are you guys watching?"
"Steel Samurai the Movie 3," Maya punctuated her answer with a handful of popcorn. Pearl grinned up at him. Larry joined them sitting on the floor in front of the divan the girls were perched on.
"Popcorn?" Maya stuck the bowl in his face, Larry smiled and took a handful.
Larry stared at the movie playing on the screen, it seemed oddly familiar. Why did he recognize that robot looking samurai? He scratched his goatee and squinted at the screen.
They were silent as the movie played and they sank deeper into focus. Then it happened. Pearl was the first to look away from the massive TV and look toward the corridor.
Che bella cosa è na jurnata 'e sole,
"Um," Pearl tugged at Maya's sleeve, "Do you hear that Mystic Maya?"

"Shhh," Maya didn't even look at her, "Just watch the movie."
Pe' ll'aria fresca para già na festa...
"Buh-but, Mystic Maya, I think someone is singing."
Che bella cosa na jurnata 'e sole.
"Mister Larry?"
"Huh?" Larry startled when Pearl tapped him—apparently waking him.
Ma n'aaaaaaaaa-aaaaaahhhh-ahhhhh ahhh tu soOOOooole!
"Do you hear that, Mister Larry?" Pearl asked.
"Guys! Shhh!" Maya glared at them and adjusted her perch on the divan.

"Hey," Larry grinned, "that's kind of nice... It's catchy, but opera-ish..."
"Is that the radio?" Pearl asked.
"Maybe," Larry said, "Maybe Edgey just needed to chill out to some of his weird music—you know how he gets."

"Come on people! I'm watching this!" Maya glared at them and motioned her hands toward the television.

"I don't know Mister Ed-ji-worth that well," Pearl said, "Does he like music like that?"

"It's weird and in gibberish," Larry tapped his forehead mimicking Edgeworth, "Ergo, Edgey loves it!"

Pearl slid off of the divan and grabbed Larry by the wrist. Maya was fully engrossed in The Battle for Neo Olde Tokyo and didn't even notice their departure.

"It's coming from back there," Pearl pointed toward the back of the flat and dragged Larry along in that direction.

"You have to be brave, Mister Larry, act like a man!" Pearl scolded when he resisted her pulling.

Pearl dragged him to the room at the end of the corridor. The door was ajar, so they pushed in. It was empty but the shower was going.

Pearl's eyes went wide and she put her hands to her cheeks, "Mister Larry!"

"You have to save him!"
cchiù belloooOOOO—Larry what the HELL?!
"Dude, the little girl said you could get electrocuted if you shower with the uh radio."
Edgeworth was glaring at him from behind the shower curtain, holding it closed so that only his head was visible. He blushed.
"I don't have a radio..."
"Oh," Larry looked surprised and Pearl peeked out from behind Larry's leg, "Okay, so were you—"
"I'm in the shower you imbecile! Get out of here before I have you all arrested!"
Larry picked up Pearl and headed back toward the living room where Maya was watching her movie, "Sheesh... He's grumpy..."
