Hey guys, so it's been awhile. I know your probably wondering why I'm writing this considering I made a whole to-do about not updating for a while but a couple months ago something happened. While checking my account I noticed a message appeared on one of my older stories, when I read it, it was someone informing me that a writer (who goes by the name of graybat4ever on wattpad) had stolen my work and posted it as their own.

Obviously I was horrified to hear that and went through the website to report them. But before I did I noticed that people had commented on the story, and they were all good things. Naturally I was upset that this person was taking credit for my work, but I was also happy that people enjoyed my story. It made me realize how much I love writing things for you guys, so I'm back! I'm done with school for the summer, I still have theater, and work (which are currently the same thing), but I'm going to try to make time for you guys to, because I miss this. I didn't realize how much I would miss writing until I stopped.

So please enjoy, and if you have any drabbles or ideas that you want me to write, feel free to send them in! I would be happy to write them!

Where we left off…

"We'll find him Bruce, I promise we won't let him get to Robin again". As the zeta-tubes lite up he shook off her hand and stepped into the light, turning around he faced them just the machine started to announce his departure.

"I hope your right Diana, I really hope your right." And with that he was gone.

Two weeks had passed and the leaguers and their protégées quickly fell back into a normal routine, well normal for them. Each hero went back to their respective cities, returning to the watchtower when needed. The younger hero's still resided in the Cave after school each night, and went on a few smaller covert surveillance missions that surprisingly stayed that way. There were only a few things that made it apparent that everyone was still on edge with the whole DeathStroke debacle. The first was that everyone was tenser than usual, smiles were hard to come by, and any free time was spent looking for Wilson. The second was that Robin was never alone, whether it be on patrol, on a mission, or even in the cave's living room the others were hesitant to let the little bird out of their sight. Even as Dick Grayson Artemis stayed closer to him during school then she did before, and every once in a while he could see a familiar mess of red hair zipping away when he was in the hallway.

Normally this would annoy him, after all he was nearly fifteen and could take care of himself, but in light of recent events he let his friends be. He knew they felt better when they did it, and to be honest he did feel a little safer every time Ms. M mentally checked in, under the guise of asking a question about Earths culture, or asking his favorite cookie recipe.

So after lunch on Wednesday when Artemis reluctantly left to go to her French class, Dick wasn't surprised to feel the familiar gentle probing in his mind, signifying Meghan's arrival.

'Hey Robin, sorry to bother you but I was just wondering if you wanted any snacks for the Cave? Me and Connor got out of school early, and we were going to pick up some things before we come home. Chuckling to himself, Dick walked towards his AP English class while not giving any outward sign that he heard the Martian.

'I'm good Ms. M thanks though'. After receiving a quick, though cheery, goodbye Dick moved into the slowly filling room. Stopping at his desk he sat down pulling out the necessary supplies for the day. Letting his mind wonder, he silently wished that Babs was in school today instead of at home sick, he knew that the class would be more boring than usual without her flinging notes at him every two seconds. He brushed the thought aside however as his teacher Mrs. Fritz walked into the room, behind her following hesitantly was a shy looking black haired girl clutching her books to her chest tightly. The rest of the class quieted down as they noticed the new arrival.

"Class, this is Catalina Flores, she has moved here from Bludhaven and will be joining us for the rest of the school year. I am sure all of you will make Ms. Flores feel welcome, and help her should she need it." The class, already growing bored with the announcement, continued their previously halted conversations with one another. Dick however continued to stare at the girl, feeling as though he knew her from somewhere. With a sigh Mrs. Fritz turned to her and gestured to Barbra's currently empty seat next to him.

"Ms. Gordon is currently out for a few days so you can take her seat for now, then we'll see about moving another desk in here for you to use once she returns." With a nod Catalina scurried to her seat, and sat down without looking up. Taking pity on the girl, Dick inched over and smiled up at her, his eyes momentarily catching on a shiny bracelet clasped on her wrists before shifting up to her eyes.

"Hey I'm Dick, and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask, even if it's just where your next class is. This place is a maze and it's easy to get lost if you don't know it." A small, but sincere smile broke onto her face as she nodded in thanks, any words she might have said getting cut off by Fritz starting the class.

The next hour in a half was spent reviewing the chapters of The Crucible they had been assigned to read the previous night, and Dick momentarily forgot about the girl sitting next to him. It wasn't until the bell rung and he began collecting his things did he see her still sitting at her desk, glancing hopelessly at a class schedule sprawled out in front of her.

"You know I was serious about helping you." With a jump the girl looked up at Dick for a moment, before looking downwards again.

"Sorry, I didn't want to bother you, it's just… I honestly have no idea where I am going." With a small smile, he leaned over her shoulder and felt his grin brighten as he read the class name.

"Well I guess you're in luck, because I happen to know a very handsome young man, who just so happens to have Advance Chemistry next as well." Catalina looked at him in confusion before he placed his hand on her wrist, the bracelet briefly pinching him as he did so, he clarified. "It's me, I'm the handsome young man, though I am slightly hurt that you didn't immediately think of me when I said that." She looked down slightly embarrassed, gathering up her belongings as she did so.

"Sorry, I had a bit of a ditsy moment, it's not that I think you're not handsome, because you are… I mean you're not, not handsome… objectively speaking you have a very symmetrical face, which of course means your good looking… I mean-"Silencing the rambling with a laugh, Dick led her down the hallway, reassuring her that he took it as a compliment, and that she also had a very symmetrical face, objectively speaking.

Artemis looked down the hallway, her eyes narrowing in suspicion as she took in the girl walking next to Dick and smiling shyly up at him through lowered eyelashes. She didn't know why but something about that girl put her on edge, maybe it was the fact that she showed up in May when they only had a few more weeks of school left. Or the fact that she automatically became friends with Dick, or it might be the fact that there was a dark look in her eyes as she looked at him that didn't quite match the shy persona she had put on. Whatever it was Artemis didn't like that girl, and she was going to figure out why.

"That boy is literally amazing, I swear I could just snatch him up and never let go." DeathStroke looked over the edge of his book as Catalina burst through the door of his Gotham apartment, flinging her bag onto the ground she flopped onto the couch across from him. Glaring at her bag, he said nothing as she continued to gush. "He is so smart, and generous, and kind, I don't know which is better when he's Dick or when he's Robin".

"Catalina" He interrupted her, setting his book down and bringing her attention to him, "As much as I love hearing about your feelings, I do hope you didn't forgot the whole reason we had you joining Gotham Academy?" With a sigh, she unclipped the bracelet from her wrist and threw it across the coffee table to him.

"He touched it, and it administered the drug, it's too soon to tell, and it was only one dose, but I don't think it will be hard to continue giving it to him. By the time the school year ends, he should be under the influence enough to strike." With a rare smile DeathStroke cautiously picked up the bracelet, examining the small needle hidden within its folds. "So what exactly is it I'm giving him? You didn't go into much detail." Standing up, he moved away from the room, answering her as he left.

"Think of it as your Tarantula venom, every dose will make him more and more… infatuated with whoever gave it to him, you. Until eventually you'll be able to control all he does by merely making a suggestion." Catalina looked elated at the information, before frowning in thought.

"If I'll be able to do all that, why don't you just use it to control him?" DeathStroke turned around at the doorway to face her, talking as one would talk to a small child. "Because, I cannot be around Robin enough to administer small doses daily without alerting Batman to our plan. And I cannot give him the full dosage all at once without causing him to overdose. So this is the next best plan." Placing the bracelet into his pocket he moved forward and crouched before Catalina, looking her in the eyes.

"That being said, don't think for a moment that you are the one in control. Robin will listen to you because I am allowing it, but he will ultimately be my apprentice, whom I will allow you to borrow when I have no need for him. Do you understand?" Catalina nodded her head slowly, hearing the danger lurking behind his words. With a hidden smile Slade stood back up. "Good, now I suggest you begin your homework, I hear you have a particularly difficult test on Arthur Miller tomorrow." Catalina watched as he walked out the room, feeling as though she was slightly out of her league when it came to working with DeathStroke. Shaking her head she picked up the bookbag laying on the floor, it didn't matter how much he made her feel uneasy, if in the end she got Robin dealing with Wilson would be worth it.

And that's all she wrote, I know it's not a lot but I have to ease myself back into writing. I hope you guys enjoyed it and if not sorry… I guess? I don't know I'm sort of proud of it, a little. Anyway let me know what you think! Bye!
