Chapter 7: More then just Pirates
A lot has happened sense New Famille's raid on Ogama. Once word got out that the Gokaigers lead the rag-tad army to a major victory over one of the Zangyack's most elite Action Commanders, more and more planets and species not only began to openly support New Famille but join their ranks as well. One of the most notable of these species were the Butareigons. The Butareigons are a warrior race that resembles wild boars who are a little bit taller them the normal human. Much like the Kumakray, the Butareigons were powerful enough to withstand a great deal of punishment. The difference, is that the Butareigons live for battle. For the Butareigon, dying on the battlefield is the highest honor for any man or woman of their race. As a matter of fact, the Butareigon have inovated many of the weapons that is used in modern warfar throughout the universe. Because of this, they remained the only race that the Zangyack Empire were not able to wipeout or conquer for practically their entire existence. Up until they met the various Super Sentai members.
But this time we are not following what the Gokaigers are up to. Instead, we will, for the first time in a long time, be visiting the remainder of the Zangyack Royal Committee. As you may remember, most of the Zangyack Royal Committee was killed by the Gokaigers when they brought Castle Zangyack crumbling to the ground. Since then, Grand Duchess Merina Gill has been trying to rebuild the castle. However, do to the Zangyack's resent financial woes (thanks to the Gokaigers), Merina was forced to make a choose. She either had to rebuild the castel, or sell whatever materials she could spare to try and keep the Empire afloat. It was a difficult decision but ultimately, the Grand Duchess had no choice but to live in meager accommodations. As we return to Zangyack Prime, we find the Grand Duchess sitting on a rock pile made out to be a throne in the middle of the ruins of Castle Zangyack. She was watching news feeds of current events from all across the universe. The more she watched the news feeds, the more disheartened she became.
What was it that has disheartening the Grand Duchess so? It was the outbreak of multiple rebel groups that have been attacking Zangyack landmarks and military bases. These groups, while not as well equipped as the New Famille forces, were very effective in their methods. Using only what they have at their disposal, the various groups of rebels have built bombs, guns, cannons and a variety of other weapons to fight the Zangyack Empire. And with every passing victory, the rebels took what they could use from the Zangyack so that future campaigns would be easier. There were about fourteen of the groups in total. Each one going by a different name. One group called themselves the Marvelous Kaizoku. Another group called themselves The Sword of Gibken. There was also The Ikari Sensei, The Fist of Famille, The Gokai Knights, The Mighty Millfy Rangers and The Wild Doigers just to name a few. These rebel groups my have different names but they were all the same. All of the groups were comprised of men and women of different races that wore red, blue, yellow, green, pink and silver jackets and crudely made masks that resembled the Gokaiger's helmets. And no matter where they were or what group they belonged to, they all would leave the Gokaiger's logo spray painted on either a Zangyack building, vehicle or statue. Within the following months, all fourteen groups went from just having a few dozen members, to having a few hundred members to having hundreds of thousands, hell, nearly millions of members in each group. Each one was screwed over by the Zangyack Empire in one way or another. Weather it was the genocide of there people, destruction of their home worlds and just over all unfair treatment at the hands of Empire is more then enough motivation for everyone that's apart of the rebellion. Now, you would think that attacking the Zangyack in such large numbers would make them easy targets for the Gormin and other members of the Zangyack armed forces but these rebels are smart. They attack the Zangyack in small numbers, no more the a thousand at the most and they would attack multiple targets at once. Because of this, the Zangyack's already dwindling fleet was forced to spread out all over the universe thinning out their numbers even more. Little did the rebels realize but they were helping out the Gokaigers in bigger way then they imagined. With the Zangyack's attention being divided to such a degree, it made the New Famille Army's job of raiding the Empire's storage facilities that much easier. In fact, the New Famille Army had taken down two more facilities because of it and Prime Minister Deuce Marces was about to tell the Grand Duchess that a Gokaigers and their army had just taken a fifth.
"Milady, Grand Duchess." said Marces. Merina was silent as she continued to watch the news feeds. "Milady," began Marces as he walked over to the make shift throne "why do you watch these disgusting displays of rebellion? All this does is put in bad spirits." Marces looked took a look at the news feeds. "These people are pathetic." said the Prime Minister. "Taking inspiration from the pirate filth. We should just-"
"Why are you here, Prime Minister?" asked the Grand Duchess in a .
"Oh, yes, well…" began Marces "We have just received word that the Gokaigers and their military have taken our facility on Barkash." Merina was silent. Taking the information in, the Grand Duchess shut off the news feeds and got up from here throne of rubble. As she rose, Merina let out a heavy sigh as she walked across the once great halls of Castle Zangyack. While she walked, the Grand Duchess began rubbing the scar that was once the stab wond that Marvelous gave her. "Milady Grand Duchess." started Marces. "You shouldn't let this discourage you. I'm sure that once we kill the Gokaigers, all these acts of inserection will end."
"Are you truly that naive Deuce?" asked the Grand Duchess. Marces was stunned by question. The Prime Minister didn't understand what Merina was trying to ask him. "Do you really believe that simply killing the Gokaigers will magically go back to the way things were?"
"Milady, I just-"
"I know what you were trying to do Deuce." said Merina turning to face the Prime Minister. "But I believe that it is better if we face the facts."
"The facts?" asked Marces.
"Yes." answered the Grand Duchess. "And one of those facts is that the Gokaigers have evolved into something more then just a band of orphan misfits playing pirates."
"And what is that, Milady?"
"A symbol." replied Merina. "The Gokaigers are a symbol to those lower lifeforms. They represent a universe without us. A universe were everyone can live as they like." The more the Grand Duchess spoke, the more and more disgusted by the thought she became. "A universe where there are multiple Empires and Democracies and all other forms of government can coexist."
"Truly it is disgusting." said the Prime Minister. "If only they could understand that we mean to simplify there lives. If only they can recognize that we are the master race of the universe and that we are just doing what is best for everyone."
Merina let out another heavy sigh. "They do so because they feel like they are important. And now it seems as if the entire universe is starting to believe that they have the RIGHT to live in our universe."
"But I still don't understand why we can not just simply kill the Gokaigers." said Marces
"Because Deuce," began Merina "if we kill the Gokaigers in battle, their stock as heroes will skyrocket. Even if we did manage to kill just one of them, what would happen if we could not confirm our kill? What woud happen if the socalled "New Famille" Army takes the dead Gokaiger back with them. They have more then enough people working for them to replaced them. So long as somebody is wearing those suits, this rebellion will continue."
"Damn them." said Marces with a quivering voice. "Damn them all. If only there were some way we could hit them back."
"Maybe there is a way." said Merina. "Prehaps if we can launch an attack on where ever the Gokaigers and their army are hiding, take back everything they stole from us, then maybe we might just be able to reestablish our dominance over the worms of the universe."
"Do you really believe that, Milady?" asked Marces.
"Yes." answered Merina. "And here is how we will find their hidden home base." As the Grnd Duchess and Prime Minister begin to discuss their counter offensive against the Gokaigers and the Army of New Famille, we head back to New Famille and see what our heroes are planning next.
To be continued in Chapter 8.
