Chapter 6: My friends PART TWO

Kaoru's POV:

I gripped Himeko's wrist, I knew my hand is icy cold.

"It's not that bad, being dead," I whispered.

"Help! Someone help me!" I could read her thought.

My smirk widen, I felt my hair flowed around in the air.

She opened her mouth to scream but no sound came out.

I blew a cold breeze across her face, a death breeze.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" She screamed in her head.

Her eyes rolled back into her head and she fell sideways.

Her eyes – filled with fear – closed.

I chuckled.

And her body went limp.

"Himeko-san!" Fumika – one of Himeko's follower – yelled and stood up.

Hanayo – the other follower – kneeled down next to her and pressed two fingers to her neck.

I floated into the air then crossed my arms and legs, a smirk crept onto my lips.

Hanayo's eyes widen and she looked at the teacher. "Sensei! She's not breathing!"

The teacher rushed over. "Let's get her to the nurse office right now!" He picked Himeko up and ran out the door, Fumika and Hanayo followed closely.

The class started to whisper among each other.

I turned to look at Momoko and Miyako.

"I got your revenge," I mumbled, more to myself.

"That was really not a good idea."

I turned to glare at Dai. "So?"

Dai shook his head. "They'll find out you're a ghost in no time."

I snorted and looked at my friends sadly. "That doesn't matter now, I'm already dead."

Butch's POV:

"What just happened to her?" I heard Miyako whisper.

"Passed out maybe," Boomer said.

"But she wasn't breathing!" Miyako cried.

"How do you know?" I snorted. "They must be lying and trying to catch attention."

"But that was really scary," Momoko muttered, "Passing out just after arguing with us."

Miyako's eyes widen. "What if she dies! Will it be our fault? She wasn't breathing!"

Boomer rested a hand on her shoulder and murmured some comfort.

Brick had a thoughtful look then he said, "Butch, go and check if she's OK."

My eyes widen. "Why me?! I'm not going, if you want someone to check on her why don't you go yourself?!"

Brick smiled. "C'mon because you're the one Shirogane likes."

"Ya bro just please go and check on her," Boomer said. "Maybe then Miyako will calm down."

I narrowed my eyes at him and he smiled sheepishly.

I huffed. "Fine."

I got up and went to the nurse office. When I walked in the nurse was talking to the teacher and Himeko's followers are beside the bed where Himeko was lying.

When I walked pass the teacher and nurse I heard some of the words they're saying.

"It's strange," the nurse said quietly, "She suddenly started breathing again, but she's fine now. Thank goodness I don't have to call the ambulance."

I stood a distance between the bed and stared at the fainted Himeko through narrowed eyes.

Suddenly Himeko's eyes shot open and she sat up looking around wildly.

When she spotted me her eyes widen with fear.

"It was her! She's here to kill me!" she screamed.

I was shocked at her sudden wildness and took a few steps back.

Himeko got out of the bed but fell. "Butch, help me!"

I took another few steps back.

"No don't leave!" She started to scramble towards me.

Hanayo and Fumika rushed to her side and tried to help her up but she pushed them away, her eyes never left mine. She was trampling all over.

"It was her! She's back!" Himeko cried as she scrambled to me and reached out, gripped my shirt.

I kneeled down and shook her shoulder. "Who?! Who's she? Who's back?!" I demanded.

"I-it wa-wa-was Ma-," she breathed hard. "Ma- *breathed* K-k-k." but she passed out again.

The nurse rushed over and picked her up then carried her over to the nurse bed again.

I frowned and stood up.

The teacher walked over to me and said, "Go and tell the class she's fine, and tell the class to learn for the test that's coming next week."

I nodded and walked out the nurse office.

'Who was Shirogane talking about?' I thought.

I shook my head and shoved my hands in my pockets. 'She's just crazy'

I felt a breeze blew from behind.

I turned but no one was there and all the windows were closed.

"She's just crazy," a voice of a little boy sang down the hallway, very faint and I couldn't see where it's coming from.

I shivered and hurried back to class.

Kaoru's POV:

"Shou!"

I grabbed Shou's collar and lifted him into the air.

"Why did you do that!" I yowled.

My voice echoed down the hallway but only my brother can heard it.

"What did I do?!" Shou wailed.

"You let Butch hear you!" I hissed.

"But I didn't let him see me! And you even talked to him so why can't I let him just hear me?!" he complained.

I pulled him closer and asked coldly, "Were you trying to scare him?"

Shou smiled sheepishly and whispered, "Heehee how did you know?"

I growled and shoved him away. "Not funny at all!" I turned and started to walk away.

"But I did that to some other children and they ran away yelling and crying, that was very funny if you see it yourself," Shou said.

I stopped and turned my head slightly, enough to glare at him.

"You did that to other people?" I said in a low voice. I felt my hair started to rippled.

Shou stiffen.

I know how I must appear: my eyes threatening and glowing green, my hair floating around like snakes, my face pale with anger.

"How many people did you scare?" I asked lowly and walked toward him slowly.

Shou took a step back and stuttered, "I-I-I can't he-help it but t-they didn't see me."

My eyes glowed brighter.

"I p-promise they didn't see me!" he said and took another step back.

My eyes glowed brighter till it's only bright neon green light.

"I swear they didn't see me!" he cried and faded away.

I sighed and closed my eyes. I let my hair fall back to its normal place then opened my eyes, they're back to its normal lime green.

The bell rang and the children all came out for lunch. Some went to the dining room, some stayed in their class to eat boxed lunch, some went outside to eat and some went to play outside.

I floated through the wall to the outside.

I covered my eyes for a moment before they're used to the sun light.

I flew over to the tree where Momoko and Miyako were eating their lunch.

I hovered over them.

"Momoko?" Miyako asked suddenly.

"Yeah?"

"Something is missing," Miyako said.

Momoko sighed. "Miyako please, stop thinking about that."

I saw tears suddenly formed in Miyako's eyes.

"She used to play soccer with some boys on a Tuesday," she said.

My heart tightened with sadness. 'She's talking about me.'

"Miyako." Momoko comforted and rested a hand on her shoulder. "Kaoru won't want you to be sad if she's here."

Miyako started to cry. "But she's gone!"

I saw Momoko closed her eyes and hugged Miyako, a few tears escaped her eyes.

I felt a bile rise in my throat. I clutched my hands into fists.

"You can't do anything about it."

I turned to see Shou floating behind me.

I snorted and looked back at my friends. "What do you know? Your friends didn't grief much."

"I know."

I turned back to him, to see sadness filled his eyes.

"But I miss my friends." He said then frowned. "But you can't do anything to comfort them."

Anger burned in me. "They shouldn't be like this," I yelled, "They shouldn't be crying over me, I'm suppose to be with them right now but no, I'm not down there with them!"

Shou looked away. "It's an accident." He murmured.

"An accident?!" I gripped his shoulder and glared at him. "And the woman who killed us is still alive! We were innocent but we're dead because someone forgot to switch off her stove! Why? Why? It's unfair!" I yelled and started to shake him.

Shou shut his eyes and said in a whisper, more like a squeak. "The world is never fair!"

My eyes widen and I get go of my grip.

"The world is cruel and never fair."

Dai's last living word echoed in my mind.

"I'm sorry Shou," I whispered, "I shouldn't take out my anger on you."

He shook his head and looked down.

"Look out!"

Shou and I looked down to see a boy kick a soccer ball towards Miyako and Momoko, the ball zoomed in a great speed.

I gasped and shot forward.

But Shou was quicker, he shot passed me and stood in front of the girls.

He swung his leg and kicked the ball away.

Miyako and Momoko seem shocked.

I bared my teeth and turned around to see who kicked the ball.

My heart skipped a beat.

The boy who kicked the ball stood there and stared straight in my eye like he can see me.

"What was that for?!" I yelled but I know no one can hear it except Shou.

But the boy smiled.

My heart started to race.

He turned and walked away.

I stared after him.

"Nee-chan they're OK," Shou said and ran up to stand next to me.

"What's wrong?" he asked and followed my gaze.

"Did you see that?" I asked. My gaze still rested on the boy as he walked away further.

"See what?"

I finally turned away and looked at Shou. "His eyes."

"What's wrong with his eyes?" he asked.

I glared after the boy. "It was glowing yellow. Like the man this morning."

The boy suddenly turned to his friend.

The eyes were brown now.

"They're brown not yellow," Shou said.

I rested a hand on his shoulder. "No it was yellow just now. I think I know what the problem is."

"Huh?"

I grinned and looked at Shou. "Don't worry, I'll figure something out."
