I haven't written a one shot in a while so I thought I would play around with a new prompt. This one is rated M for sexual content so sensitive readers please skip to the other short stories. Everyone else enjoy!
~ One Last Time? ~
FNF #104: "Just so you know, there's a space that only you can fill. Just so you know, I loved you then. I guess I always will"
Jason knew that voice by heart, and his heart smiled as he heard her call.
"Jason!"
"Elizabeth!" He called back, surprised to see her there sitting on a pier bench by herself, but it was her who couldn't believe her eyes.
Jason had left town, almost three years ago, leaving Port Charles behind to expand the Corinthos-Morgan organization across the country and internationally. But it wasn't only Port Charles he had left behind but Elizabeth, who he had tried to convince to leave with him but had decline. Not fault of loving him, because she did, deeply, but to care for her dying grandmother. A choice Jason had respected but that had saddened him profoundly because it had meant the end of a short but passionate relationship between the two.
"When did you get back in town? I can't believe my eyes, it's like I'm in a dream right now." And she had had many dreams of him and her traveling the world, building a life together, but unfortunately life had had different plans for them.
"I came back last night, I was going to call you." Jason said, unable and unwilling to take his eyes off her. She was beautiful, just like he remembered her, but looked more refined and grown than when he left. Jason too had matured and buffed up, which Elizabeth didn't stay blind to.
"Are you back, back or you're just passing by?" She asked, still in awe Jason was standing in font of her.
He smiled; no one could make him smile like Elizabeth could. "I'm back, back. I'm staying at the Metro Court right now but I will be looking for a place."
"That's amazing Jason, I'm so glad to see you. And you have no idea how much has changed."
"I know, I talked to Sonny earlier and he filled me in a little. Do you have time for dinner? I would love to catch up with you."
Of course she did. Elizabeth couldn't wait to sit down with him and ask him everything she could think of about where he had been and what he had seen. And she did, ask about everything, everything but one thing she was afraid to know. Had he found love along the way? Had she been replaced by someone else? He had left so long ago that it was inevitable. Plus she had too.
"Sonny told me, he told me you were engaged?" Jason said, more as a question than a statement, something inside him was hoping it wasn't true but it was. She nodded.
"Lucky and I, we got back together. He was there for me when my Grams died and well you know we have a long history."
Jason knew all about that long history which was filled with more abuse than love in his mind but it wasn't his place to judge if Elizabeth was happy. "Are you happy?"
"I am now." She smiled and he smiled back.
"I met someone too." There it was, she didn't want to ask but there was the answer to her question. "Her name is Sam, we met while I was traveling and well, we hit it off well. She's planning on moving to Port Charles to be with me once I settle down."
"I'm happy for you." Elizabeth said, but no; she wasn't. She hated the idea of another woman with Jason, her Jason. And it didn't matter that she was marrying another man, Jason would always be her Jason.
"Should we get a drink?" The pair moved to the Metro Court lounge. She ordered a tastefully mixed gin tonic while he settled for a beer. It had been difficult for the both of them to get over seeing the other and to realize that all they were to each other now were exes.
They continued filling the blanks on what had happened in their lives since that last meeting when he had told her he was leaving and her that she was staying. Time might have passed but their chemistry had not aged one bit. Elizabeth laughed out loud while Jason smiled all throughout the evening, completely losing track of time.
They gazed at each other, their eyes saying things their mouths would not dare utter. Without blinking, their eyes could read how much love they still felt for one another despite their new lives. And these eyes begged for one more night, one last night before they were truly over.
They couldn't resist the urge. One last time, they decided.
Jason offered Elizabeth his hand and she took it, and followed him upstairs, no questions asked. Once in his hotel room, their mouths crashed forcefully as they relieved what it had felt like some years ago. Elizabeth's hands quickly found the hem of Jason's black t-shirt and pulled it over his head, leaving his built torso for her to admire. He imitated her and easily removed the tank top she had on and cupped her breast with his palms while he devoured her neck of kisses, putting the woman on edge.
Her caresses down his back felt incredible, felt warm and riveting. She kissed him again and again, their tongues playing of each other as they felt familiar sensations. They finished undressing, fast, throwing pieces of clothing all across the room.
Jason suddenly lifted Elizabeth off the ground, his strong arm wrapped around her small frame; she wrapped her legs around him feeling his manhood in between her legs. She moaned, unable to sustain the anticipation as he gently crashed her back against the cold wall. Their eyes met again before he entered her sending her world in a whirlwind.
She never wanted him to stop and he would not want to stop for anything in the world. Making love to her felt like nothing else. Making love to him made her feel alive. She moaned while he answered with deep groans, with each thrust losing their minds further. Sweat now covered their entire heated bodies as their breathing accelerated.
Jason then carried Elizabeth to the bed; where he continued pushing deep inside her and she matched his thrusts by grinding against him, each time with more passion. Until they let go, completely, losing each other in intense pleasure matched by echoing pleasure filled moans.
Now what? They both wondered once they woke up in each other's arms. Lucky was probably waiting for Elizabeth dead worried she had disappeared while Sam had probably tried calling Jason to know how his return to Port Charles had been.
He could not have anticipated that seeing Elizabeth again would have revived so many feelings he believed had been buried long ago and Elizabeth was convinced she loved Lucky now; until she had seen Jason again.
They had agreed to one last time.
"If we never mention it they will never know, we can keep it our secret." Elizabeth brought up. She couldn't bring herself to let down the people who had faith in her and Lucky and thought Jason also wouldn't want to hurt Sam that way.
"If this is what you want, we don't have to say anything." They agreed, she got dressed and said goodbye, painfully.
Elizabeth went home to Lucky, but her heart had stayed with Jason. That night had reminded her exactly why she couldn't and shouldn't marry Lucky. Her heart had always been with Jason and her heart was now working on convincing her brain to do the right thing.
As Lucky began screaming at her asking her where she had been and why she hadn't called him she couldn't bring herself to lie. So she didn't.
"I was with Jason." She told him. She told him everything and how she had never stopped loving him and that even if Jason and her didn't get back together she couldn't marry him.
She apologized, gave him his ring back and left. She walked to the pier and sat on her bench staring at the water thinking how good it had felt to be in Jason's arms and how better she felt now that she had called off her engagement.
"Elizabeth?" She heard Jason call her name. He approached and sat next to her. "How come you're not home, to Lucky?"
"I broke it all off, the engagement. I couldn't, not after yesterday. Not after I remembered how real love felt like." She explained.
"I know what you mean." Jason said, unable to hide his joy then added. "I called Sam after you left, I told her that maybe it wasn't such a good idea for her to move to Port Charles after all."
"You did?" She asked surprised. "Over the phone?"
Jason nodded. "I couldn't wait for her to move, I had to tell her. I realized that I liked her a lot, but not like I love you and having you here I would never be able to give her the kind of love she is looking for."
Elizabeth's eyes opened wide, there was no explaining how she felt inside; they had both come to the same understanding after last night. They couldn't be in the same city and stay apart. They just couldn't. Their love was too strong for that.
It always will be…
