Chapter 7
Sweeney felt angry, surprised, shocked, and even sad. Some of these emotions Sweeney didn't know he had. However, knowing now that the judge
was gone, it did make Sweeney a bit happy, however, what about Toby? If Toby had murdered him, where did Toby go? Not to the law, that would be
silly to arrest a dead person, right? Sweeney sighed as he returned into the pie shop. Sandi looked up and noticed that something seemed to be on his
mind.
"Father? Are you alright?" She questioned him.
"I've remembered..."
"Remember...? You mean...?"
"Everything. My death, and everything before it..."
"Would you mind...telling me...?" She asked growing curious, as she didn't know everything about the past of her father and wanted to know.
"I was arrested 15 years ago of a crime I never had done. He took my daughter, your sister. A young sailor helped me return to London. I came home,
I was informed my wife Lucy, your mother, killed herself, and the Judge had Johanna. Later he sent her to Fogg's Asylum...The sailor, Anthony freed her,
posing as a wig makers apprentice. I later killed Lucy, without knowing it was her, then killing the Judge and Beadle Bamford. I then after learned I
killed Lucy, and my "friend" Mrs. Lovett had lied about her death. I killed her. Burning her. Then to be murdered by Toby..Someone close to Mrs.
Lovett."
Sandi's eyes filled with tears at this story. "Father...I'm so sorry."
"Don't. Then I wanted to die. Now I see, I have purpose be around once more. Sweeney Todd is back...And he's feeling the need for some kind of
revenge. "
"Let me help you sir. I wanted to avenge your death when I found out what happened. I brought you back, the father I always longed to meet. And I
want to be around to help you."
"Alright." He said with a slight grin, as he returned back to the barber shop, Sandi following. He looked at the photo of Johanna and Lucy as he took out
a razor from his case.
"Is this the woman you saw downstairs?"
Sandi nods. "I tried to bring her back too...But I failed." She looks down. He stays quiet for a minute.
"You tried. Its all that matters..."
"Father, what if we gave her a proper burial?"
Sweeney nods, as he likes the sound of that idea.
~ Elsewhere in England~
Anthony had been thinking. Thinking about what Johanna had said, and how true it was. Could Sweeney Todd really have done what she said? He
wanted to know, but didn't want to leave just yet, as he wanted to spend time with Johanna. He walked into the room where Johanna was, and smiled
seeing the girl with yellow hair that he adored so much sitting at the window, sewing.
"How are you enjoying this freedom you've gotten?"
She smiled up at him. "Its lovely, Anthony. But I'm so used to sitting around like this, so it honestly feels a little weird." She looked up into the blue
eyes of the young male she fell for the day she saw him outside her window. She was glad to be free from the Judge. If it hadn't been for Anthony,
she'd be still with the Judge, maybe even locked in Bedlam. She was glad to have him.
~ the Pie/Barber Shop~
Sweeney and Sandi brought Lucy to a secret place to burry her. A place the two only knew about. At long last, Lucy would be put to rest. This was sad
for the two, more so Sweeney, who hid his feelings back. After a little, they returned back. Things were quiet. Before they brought Lucy to be burried,
Sweeney cleared a room which belonged to the girls back when they were just little, it was attached to the upper level of the building, somewhere
apart of the barber shop. When they got home, Sandi began to unpack her bags. Sweeney sitting in his barber chair, plotting. Sandi pulled out a photo
of her dear friend Elizabeth and sighed. She missed her. She then looked at the uniform Elizabeth had on, realizing that was all the clothing Sandi had,
and it was covered in blood, from her slipping earlier. She wanted that uniform gone.
"Uh...Father..?" Sandi said, peering her head out of her room, breaking the silence. "I was wondering...I have nothing to wear...so is it possible you can
maybe take me into town, to get clothing tailored or something? "
Sweeney couldn't help but grin softly, as he stood up, motioning for her to follow. He brought her into town, to a decent tailor he had known in town.
The tailor went by the name Val. She measured Sandi, and tailored the girl a dress, a beautiful dress that Sandi would soon fall in love with. It was a
long, red gown. It showed a little chest, and was long sleeved. There was a black belt around Sandi's waist. Val had made something that a teenage
girl would adore, as Val was once a teenager herself. The silver "L" necklace on Sandi's neck was now able to be seen. Val informed the two to return
whenever they needed.
Sweeney and Sandi finally returned home. Once they did, Sweeney handed Sandi one of his silver razors.
"If ever there is an event I am not around to protect you, use this as your weapon for self defense. It might not be much, but its useful if needed."
Sandi nodded returning into her room. She finished unpacking, putting the night dress away, and the photos on the desk with the razor. She looked in
the mirror at her new appearance. Long black hair, in a beautiful red dress, with a weapon. She smiled slightly and picked up the razor.
"I, Sandra Amber Barker, will help my father in whatever way possible to help with his revenge. From this day on, I am Sandra Amber Todd!"
