She felt her anger start to fade away as she sat in her room. She pulled the chair up so she could look out the window. The outside world was seeming so foreign to her lately. She used to never sit around in the house and now that is all that she can do. All of her friends were still down stairs talking. Emmett tried to come in and talk to her, but she kept sending him away. She didn't want to fight with him. She knows that he didn't want things to be this way. He loved having her at Carlton. Apparently, he was just about the only one. "I never thought the day Bay Kennish would turn down a party." She turned around to see Ty standing in the doorway. "Regina called. She thought you need someone to talk to." He added as he walked into the room.
She just nodded at him before looking back out the window. "You knew about it all didn't you? When you came to the hospital you knew about all the press. How they were mad? A whole community I was just trying help, pissed because it was me." He just sat down on the bed and looked at her for a moment. "I am pissed it was me. I am pissed that I have to sit here day end and day out. I am pissed that the only time that I leave this house is for doctors' appointments. I am pissed that my child is having so many problems because of this. I am pissed that it all this pain does count for anything. I thought I was finally one of them. I finally felt at home there."
"Bay you all are one big crazy family. They stood by your side through it all. So, why don't you come back downstairs and spend some time with the family?" He asked as he looked at her. "I brought my friend Mary Beth. Remember I told you about her. She said she wanted to meet you." He added as he stood up. "Come on, I'll help you down." He said as he reached out his hand.
She just shook her head. "Will you get Emmett for me?" She asked him. He just nodded before he walked out of the room.
They sat around in the kitchen constantly looking in on the children sitting in the living room. "There has to be something we can do." Regina said and signed as she looked at the other parents sitting there: Angelo, Kathryn, John, Melody, and Cameron.
"Well there was one ideal that I had." Angelo said as he looked at the group around them. "But, it's a bit crazy."
"I would be willing to try anything at this point." Cameron signed as he looked at Regina. She was translating for Angelo's sake. Regina just nodded at him to go on.
"The old Westport High is for sale. We could start a brand new school. I would be willing to put every dime I have into it. It would get us started. But, we would need more investors to keep it running." He said as he looked around the table.
"You're nuts we can't just buy a school for these kids." Kathryn said as they all looked around.
"You're the queen of charity functions. You could get the money. We could do this. It only seems right for them. Think of our children. Our grandchild." Melody said as she looked at her.
"We could go to the press. Everyone wanted the story. Let them have it, push the new school in the lime light." Cameron added.
"I think it could work. We have money to put into it. We know a lot of people who would love a tax write off. "John said simply.
"If we are going to do this. We can't them till it's a done deal. I can't see them hurt anymore. If something happens." Kathryn said.
"Agreed." Melody said.
"We are really going to do this." Angelo said as he looked around.
"I am going to call my realtor." John said as he got up.
