So…I have a confession to make. I…am a shopaholic. Sorry not sorry. Anyway, I was trying to find a Sasori plushie to buy on amazon, but the closest thing I could find was Hiruko for $37. I didn't buy it, mind you, but I was tempted.
Disclaimer: the only thing I own of Naruto is a couple of manga, a bunch of Cosplay outfits, decks of cards, and a Deidara plushie. I just want Sasori. It's all I want.
At the end of Kakashi's second shift, he jumped down from the tree he was standing on, and walked over to us. "Alright, that's enough rest," Kakashi said, waking everyone up, except for Chiyo who was already up.
Well, it took Naruto a little longer since he rolled over asking for another minute, but Kakashi brought up Gaara, and he shot right up.
In a matter of minutes we were on the move once again, with Naruto taking the lead and Sakura bringing up the rear.
"They're confident that they delayed us long enough," Kakashi said. "That's why there hasn't been another attack."
"Yes, indeed," Chiyo replied. "I'm starting to think the same thing."
"But that means-" Sakura broke off, not finishing her statement.
Naruto clenched his fists, and began propelling himself further distances. Chiyo gasped. "What's he…?" she wondered.
"Hang on, Gaara," Naruto growled. "We're coming."
He began getting farther away from up in a matter of seconds. "Naruto, not so fast! Wait for us!" Sakura called.
"Maybe we should just go faster," I replied simply. Sakura looked at me in shock.
"Naruto's powered by his determination and overall anger," Sakura said. "It feeds the tailed beast inside of him."
"Oh so he's a jinchūriki too, eh?" Chiyo asked.
"That would explain his determination to save Gaara," I replied. "But even if you can't catch up, he shouldn't go off on his own because if he's a jinchūriki, the Akatsuki will be after him too. I'll go on ahead."
"But you can't!" Sakura replied. "No ninja can match the power of a jinchūriki!"
"Sakura, perhaps you don't remember, but Chastity isn't a ninja. She doesn't use chakra or anything," Chiyo gave her input.
"That's right," Sakura nodded. "Chiyo said you were a Sentouki. What is that?"
"Most people call them Fighters. It's difficult to explain. A Fighter fights to protect his or her Sacrifice," I told them. "They take commands from their Sacrifice, who has the same name as them."
"Same name?" Sakura asked.
"Real name," I replied. "So, my real name is Flawless, and that would be the name of my Sacrifice. The Sacrifice and Fighter are one soul, one being. If a Fighter fights without their Sacrifice, their power is decreased by 50%. I've been fighting without my Sacrifice."
"But you were so strong yesterday," Sakura replied.
"Then imagine me with that strength times two," I grinned. "I'm going to catch up to Naruto."
I waved good-bye to them and dashed off, easily catching up to the blond ninja.
"Hey, Naruto," I called to him over the roar of the wind. He looked at me in shock. "They thought it would be dangerous if you went off on your own, so I'm gonna hang with you."
"How'd you catch up to me?" he asked.
"I'm just that good," I told him, holding out my hand. "You need to calm down. Take my hand, Naruto."
He just looked at me for a moment, before he nodded and grabbed my hand.
"To save Gaara, you need to keep a level head," I told him. "You can't fight the Akatsuki on sheer will alone. We need a plan. I think if we were to have to split up to fight the Akatsuki, you and Kakashi would be better together because you know each other's style of fighting, and Gramma, Sakura, and I would stay to fight the other."
He nodded. "I think that would work best," he replied after thinking for a while.
*A Time Skip*
The trees opened out to a beautiful body of water with a red gate and a bolder with a seal on it. We landed on the water. "Late as usual, Kakashi," a man in a green jumpsuit with a bowl cut and very bushy eyebrows commented.
When I looked around, I noticed hat there were three others there, including the dog, Pakkun, I think it was.
"Oh, well, you know, we ran into a little trouble along the way," Kakashi replied.
"Naruto!" a boy who looked like a smaller version of the man with the bowl cut exclaimed, looking excited. "Sakura!"
"Wait a minute," Chiyo interrupted, addressing Kakashi. "By 'a little trouble,' you don't mean me, do you, Kakashi?"
"Well?" Naruto asked the other group.
"Naruto," a guy who had really long hair and creamy colored eyes said, sounding concerned.
"Looks like we were just a step behind you guys," Sakura said as we all approached the other group.
"Yeah, who's that old lady?" the only girl in that group said. "And who's that girl with the strange hair?"
"Oh, this is Lady Chiyo, she's an advisor from the Sand Village," Sakura said.
"Very pleased to meet you," Chiyo greeted them with a peace sign.
"And this is Chastity," Sakura continued. "She's an amazing fighter!"
"Aw, shucks," I grinned. "You made me blush, Sakura-Chan! It's nice to meet you!"
"Well, then," the man said. "Let's do this, Kakashi."
"Right," Kakashi replied.
"Sakura, who are they?" I whispered. "I just need names please."
"The guy with the really, really bushy eyebrows is Might Gai, the one who looks like a mini version of him is Rock Lee. The girl is TenTen, and Neji is the other guy."
"Thanks."
"Neji, use your Byakugan to see what's inside," Gai commanded.
"Inside," Neji grunted. "There a large cavern, but…"
"But what?" Lee asked.
Neji grunted. "I just…can't quite make out what's going on in there. I see several people…"
"Neji, what about Gaara?" Naruto asked. "What's happening?" he demanded, pushing on Neji's arm. "Is he one of the people you see!?"
"Back of a second," Neji demanded, pushing Naruto away. "I'm trying to locate him now…" Neji began looking around, but his head moved slower trying to see something.
"NEJI!" Naruto screamed, making him loose whatever he was so focused on.
"Take it easy!" Neji replied calmly. I have to hand it to him; he has the patience of a saint. His eyes widened as he saw something. "I don't…what is that thing?" he asked.
"What is it?" Naruto demanded, shaking Neji about. "What's going on? Neji, what's in there?!"
He hasped, his eyes going back to normal. He shook Naruto off, grunting. "Let go of me," he demanded.
"Well, what did you see?" Sakura asked.
He looked to the ground. "It's hard to describe with words," he said.
"Wait, so that would mean?" TenTen asked.
"Yes," Lee replied. "It means that whatever it is, we will have to go see for ourselves."
"That makes things easy, doesn't it?" Gai responded, putting his hand on Lee's shoulder.
Gai did a couple of flips, putting distance between himself and the boulder. He dashed towards the boulder with lightning fast speed, shouting. "I'm coming through!"
He landed a punch on the boulder, and rings went out from where his fist landed, but otherwise did nothing of importance.
"Quite a barrier," he acknowledged, before walking back over to us.
"What is your plan?" Lee asked.
"Well, Lee, it's pretty obvious we need to get rid of that barrier," Gai replied.
"And how do we do that?" TenTen asked.
"Before we can even think about breaking through," Sakura interrupted. "We should know what kind of barrier it is."
"That's right," Gai nodded. "So, figure out the type of barrier, that's step one, right, Kakashi?"
"Yeah…" Kakashi grunted in response.
"I think it's a Five Seal Barrier," I told them.
"I agree with you," Chiyo replied, and Kakashi nodded in agreement.
"A Five Seal Barrier?" Naruto asked.
"It's a strong measure of protection in which five tags with the word forbidden written on them are fastened around the area that is being guarded."
"One of the tags in in front of us, so there are four more around this area. We need to find them and pull them off simultaneously," I told them.
"How do we find the other four?" Naruto demanded.
"Neji," Kakashi said.
"I understand," Neji replied. "Byakugan!" A few minutes passed by before Neji exclaimed. "I found them!"
"Awesome, Neji!" Naruto praised him. "Point them out!"
Neji told us exactly where the other seals were located, and we discovered that they were all pretty far apart from each other.
"How will we signal each other?" Sakura asked.
"I think I can answer that," Gai said, pulling off his backpack. "We should just be in range for these!" he exclaimed, pulling out headsets. "They're wireless radios."
"Whoa, that's amazing!" Naruto said, smiling.
"Good thinking," Kakashi congratulated Gai.
"Yes," Chiyo agreed. "Very good thinking."
Gai did a cool guy pose, and chuckled. "Okay! So we'll stay in constant communication, and follow Neji's directions to the tags!"
There's the end of another chapter! We're getting closer to the whole Sasori/Sakura/Chiyo/Chastity fight scene! I wonder what will happen?!
