"RIIISE AAAAND SHIIIIINE!" Daniel announced as he rang his bell beside Sonic's ear. Sonic jumped out of bed and landed on the floor face first,
"What was that for!?" Sonic yelled, "My alarm hasn't even gone off yet!"
"Well it's about 5:30 and I thought we could get an early start."
"Early start? On what?"
"Training of course."
"Uhh hello, I have school today, and our fancy little "bot" didn't do so dandy the last time."
Daniel paused and pondered for a moment, then knelt down beside Sonic,
"Okay so the bot needs a few kinks to work out, but I'll have it back up and running in no time," Daniel said confidently. Sonic looked at Daniel and raised one eye brow. Daniel nodded his slowly and said,
"Okay the thing is really screwed, but don't you want to get your strength your intelligence… your speed."
"Well I would need to put school first, and in case you didn't read the letter, I have a D in my math class."
"I didn't read the letter… and in that case you need to go to school," Daniel said as he stood back up, "But let's at least review what you have learned so far."
"Ugh fine," Sonic said, he slowly emerged from the floor but a sudden sharp pain from his abdomen forced him back down, "OWW!" Sonic yelped,
"What's wrong?" Daniel asked
"My stomach, it hurts."
"Haha." Daniel laughed,
"What's so funny?" Sonic asked,
"It's nothing to worry about; it's just you gaining something called, Muscle."
"I need speed not muscle!"
"Relax it's a good thing, here," Daniel kneelt down beside Sonic and place his hand on his chest, "when you gain muscle you make tears in you muscle, luckily I can heal those tears, but you just won't gain any of the benefits."
Before Daniel could finish the process Sonic quickly pushed his hand away,
"NO!" Sonic yelled. They both paused for a moment and a noticeable silence came about the room, "I… I would like to gain the benefit, that's what I'm here for."
"There you go, now com'on I think there's one last chilly dog in the fridge, first one there gets it."
Without a moment's notice Sonic sprang up and sprinted toward the kitchen, though when he tried to stop he realized that he had no shoes on and began to slide. He hit the fridge hard and slid to the ground,
"BWAHAHAHA!' Daniel laughed until tears came to his eyes.
Sonic turned his head and stared irritated at Daniel who was on the floor laughing,
"Haha very funny." Sonic said
"Well *haha* you're getting faster, but you aren't there yet"
Sonic picked himself up slowly as he felt every sharp pain that shot through his abdomen,
"Yeah I don't think I'm hungry anymore."
"Alright then, let's review and be done," Daniel said as he pulled out a golden ring from his pocket.
Sonic grabbed a hold of it instinctively and they both had been teleported to the training ground that they had been practicing at the day before. In front of Sonic stood the lifeless copy of Timmy,
"Alright then, now 15 minutes of review shouldn't hurt," Daniel said,
"Wait, I uh…" Sonic paused for a moment and brief moment of silence followed,
"Well spit it out, before I wake the copy."
"I uh, forgot my shoes," Sonic said as he point down to his bare feet,
"Well then this should be interesting," Daniel commented, "Copy! Begin training session at same level," Daniel commanded.
A long moment of silence followed and the copy remain still and motionless, Sonic began tapping his foot impatiently,
"Hey do you want to go to school bare foot?" Daniel asked,
Sonic obediently ceased tapping his foot and stared at the copy,
"What's wrong with it?" Sonic asked,
"Well, maybe a liver, kidney, heart, I don't know what's wrong with it, but I will have it back up and running by the time you get home."
"Alright so may we head back so that I can get my shoes?"
"Yeah yeah, let's go" Daniel said as he held out his hand and a golden ring formulated in his hand. Sonic grabbed the ring and the two were immediately taken back to the kitchen of the house,
"Alright I have to head back and fix that copy, make sure that you get to school on time, and for the love of crimeny may you please not get beat up today."
Daniel walked out the front door, and all Sonic saw was a flash of light,
"Alright let's get movin'," Sonic stated,
Meanwhile at the Prower residence,
"Aww man where's that bolt?" Tails asked himself as he dug through boxes of unpacked items,
"Com'on I know it's around-" Tails stopped as he came across a wooden frame; it was small so Tails pulled it out and held it in his hands. He wiped the dust and cobwebs off with a brush of his hand and tear streamed down his eye. As of now he stared at a picture of his mother and father,
"Where did you guys go?" He asked himself as he hugged the frame of the picture. He glanced over into the box once more and saw a small shinning silver bolt. He set the picture down gently and picked up the bolt,
"Well, dad taught to never leave any task undone." And with that he placed the bolt into the small metal box on the ground and screwed it into place.
At Sally's house, Sally had been working on a paper, it read,
"Dear mom and dad, I know that you two are off on a business trip and that you trust me to be alone, but I don't enjoy it, I haven't been able to get much sleep lately but I have been able to keep my grades up. Any-way the reason why I am writing to is because I am having a crisis, there is a boy at school, who keeps on getting picked on, I have been defending him but he just keeps getting hurt, I've also been patching him up, but I've been losing my friends because of it. What should I do, Love your daughter: Sally Acorn."
Once Sally had completed the letter, she folded into a tri fold and placed it in the envelope. She signature her name and the address of the area her parents had been staying at and placed on the desk. She then got up and walked over to her bed and lay down, her mind had been tiresome so there had been no use of thought, and as a matter of fact, a thought was an obscure memory at the time. To her time was moving slowly, she missed her parents, they had been gone for nearly two months. She closed her eyes and tried not to ponder and fell asleep.
Though shortly after, her dozing had been interrupted by a loud alarm clock. She slammed the alarm off and flipped the alarm switch,
"Aww man… I hope I at least get to sleep well tonight, I've gotta figure out schedule for that kid I'm tutoring," She said to herself.
1hr & 30min later,
Sonic had walked to his empty classroom, though just outside the corner of the room, he noticed that his friend Tails had already arrived, he was 15 minutes early and avoided any contact with Timmy or his gang,
"Hey Sonic!" Tails said gleefully,
"Hey how's it goin?" Sonic replied as he took his seat beside Tails
"It's going pretty cool, I got something cool to show you," Tails said as he pat his backpack
"Sweet, what is it?" Sonic asked,
"I'll show you at lunch; it's a little project that I've been working on."
"I can't wait to see it."
"Well you'll have to, but anyways where were you yesterday?" Tails asked,
Sonic hesitated and attempted to search for an answer to cover up his own 'project', "Oh I uhh… I had a doctor's appointment."
"It took you all day?"
"I tell you, it was a long wait."
Sonic and Tails chat on and on before school started, mainly about the subjects that Sonic missed the day before.
The bell finally rang for the students to walk to their class and Mr. Burns walked through the door. He walked over to his desk and set his belongings down, he glanced over to the corner of the room and noticed the two sitting at their desks,
"Good to see you Tails, and Sonic," He paused and Sonic closed his eyes and cringed, "You're actually punctual today."
Sonic look over to Tails and raised one questioning eyebrow,
"It means you're on time," Tails whispered,
"Oh, thank you Mr. Burns."
"However you must still pay the price of the work you missed yesterday," Mr. Burns said as he picked up a three page packet of works papers that he had missed, "I will accept it by Friday."
Sonic grabbed the papers and placed them into his backpack; he then slammed his head on the table and cringed.
The bell rang for the end of first period and Sonic was one of the last people out the door, being that he sat in the back and was ate most days, the teacher considered him undeserving of the privilege for leaving early. Though as Sonic had walked through the halls toward his next class he noticed Sally walking,
"Hey Sa-" before Sonic could call Sally he grabbed from behind and slammed into the wall,
"I think she's busy," said Tiff as she look at Sonic dead in the eyes,
"Tiff!? What are you doing?" Sonic asked,
"Well blue, I figured that I couldn't resist a deal from Timmy." She replied.
Timmy appeared behind Tiff about two seconds after Tiff ad spoke,
"Well, it looks like you caught my favorite guppy," Timmy joked,
"Anything for you Timothy," Tiff said,
"Alright now hold here while I-"Timmy felt a heavy tapping on his shoulder, he turned to see Sally standing in front of him, "Ahh my princess just the girl I wanted to see."
"What do you think you are doing?" Sally asked,
"Well I was seeing if you were going to reject-" Sally cut Timmy off,
"Done, now Tiff how about you just let him go."
Tiff looked at Timmy for orders. He nodded and Tiff released Sonic, and he walked over to Sally's side,
"Have a good day." Sally said as she walked away with Sonic,
"That was close," Sally said,
"Well it's not my fault," Sonic declared,
"I know it's not but still can you at least check around you? You're lucky I heard you."
"Well thanks, but I wanted to ask you something," Sonic said,
"Please don't tell me that it's about the dance."
"What!? No! I was going to ask if you could sit with me and Tails during lunch."
"Oh well, sure. It's better than people that I currently call my 'friends'."
"Sweet, see you then."
And so Sonic continued his day.
Lunch time rolled around 12:00pm as usual, Sonic and Tails had already taken their plates and started for the cafeteria door,
"Sonic!" called Sally.
Both Sonic and Tails turned to see that Sally had 'reserved' a small table near the wall of the cafeteria. The two walked over to the table and took their seats,
"Hey Sal, how'd you reserve a table?" Sonic asked,
"Well it's amazing what you can do with threats." Sally replied,
Tails set down his back pack, unzipped it and began shuffling through it,
"What are you looking for Tails?" Sally asked,
"Wait you two met?" Sonic asked,
"Yeah I bumped into him twice, and it makes curious as to why you can't fly." Sally joked,
"A-ha hear it is," Tails announced as he held a medium sized metallic box with a screen on the front,
"What is it?" Sally asked as she observed it from her seat,
"It looks like a tin box." Sonic commented,
"Well it's an A.I" Tails said,
"No way," Sally exclaimed,
"A what?" Sonic asked,
"Artificial intelligence, watch." Tails tapped a button on the bottom of the device,
"Power activated," It said,
"Whoa that's cool!" Sally and Sonic said in unison,
"I am Nichole, a self-personalized and enhanced A.I," It said,
"A what?" Sonic asked,
"Nichole could you put it in simpler terms please?" Tails asked,
"I am a human in a computer, only I am way more intelligent," Nichole replied,
"Wow that's cool," Sonic said,
"Yeah well I'll work on it more when I get home, Nichole can you put yourself into sleep mode?" Tails asked,
"I most definitely can," Nichole said just before the screen turned off.
And then the trio carried on with their day. When lunch ended, they all parted their separate ways to their classes. Tails breezing through his classes, and Sally with hers, though Sonic had a moderately difficult time with English class.
Fourth period came around 1:30pm and Sonic proceeded to P.E, and he knew who was in his class as well, Sally Acorn,
"So you nervous?" Sally asked,
"Well Mr. Rogers said that I will be getting a new opponent today."
"So I'm assuming that you're a bit-" Sally was cut off by a disturbingly familiar voice,
"Hey Sally!" Timmy called as he walked toward the two,
"Oh man," Sally and Sonic muttered,
"What are you doing with this low life?" Timmy asked,
"well he's not a low life, and he is way better than you."
"Is that so?" Timmy commented as he stared Sonic down with hellish eyes,
"Yes, and what are you doing here?" Sally asked,
"Well I got kicked out of class and I decided to take up P.E, because after all I am the fastest."
Sonic clenched his fists and cringed his eyes at his remark,
"Alright everyone to the stands!" Mr. Rogers announced.
Sonic started for the stands and Sally followed behind, as well Timmy. Sonic took his seat and Sally sat beside him at the top bleachers, though Timmy followed them and took his seat beside Sally,
"So you guys racing today?" Timmy asked,
"Yeah we are but, we're are not going to be anywhere near you!" Sally exclaimed.
She then stood up, grabbed Sonic's hand, and pulled him away with her. Timmy growled when she left,
"Stupid hedgehog, how can I get rid of him?" Timmy asked himself,
"Well I think I can help you with that," said a large bulky silver wolf.
Timmy sat up strait and looked at him,
"And you are?"
"Well most people know me as Tiny."
"Kinky, you can help me?"
"Well Timmy I think I can help you like a charm."
