Chapter 7:

Bella Pov

"Charlie, we're serious!" I shouted yet again. The second Charlie had gotten home; we had bombarded him with the news. "Look, I'm telling you, there's no such thing as magic…" He put on an 'o' face, and then cast a look at Tom. "I mean, there are such things as magic of course, but not the kind that you're talking about. Like Santa Clause and the Easter bunny, those things are real Tom. But it sounds to me like some man showed up at the door trying to kidnap you both."

"No he wasn't Charlie! He showed us magic, it's real! And he gave us permission forms!" I shouted and tried to show him the envelope.

"I can't send you both over a thousand miles away for a magic camp!" Charlie whined, and he pulled a face. "Charlie it's a boarding school for people like Tom and I. Our names have been down since birth." I said slowly. Tom came to my side.

"Mr. Swan, he sounded legit to me. And you must have heard of magic too. You're obviously a muggle, maybe it's Bella's mom. Look, we have train tickets, and school lists. He even demonstrated for us. He pulled out a wand and set a plant on fire. Then he put the fire out! I'm telling you, it's real! Please let us go!" Tom begged, and literally got on his knees to beg. Kiss up.

"I… I don't know kids. There's no evidence at all that this school is real. Listen Bella, your mother will be here soon. We'll talk it out, and then the both of us will decide what to do." Charlie said, and I punched the wall above Tom's head.

"But the papers-!"

"Could've been printed as a scam to kidnap you both. I don't know that! Tomorrow when I'm at work, I'll look it up on the internet-!"

"There'll be no records of the school on the internet Charlie! The school is in magical records, not Muggle- Non Magical people Charlie!" I shouted when his face scrunched up in confusion.

"Listen, can't we just have a civil conversation about this?" Charlie said calmly, but Tom jumped up in fury. "No! We're going to that school and that's final! And a muggle like you isn't going to stop us! Right Bella?!"

"Of course Tom. Let's go upstairs, I'm going to take a nap." On the way up the stairs, I looked back at my father. His face was riddled with confusion and shock. Well it's not every day that Tom loses his cool in front of an adult. At the top of the stairs, I saw my reflection in a mirror. Horrifyingly beautiful.

"We can do it you know." Tom said once we were in our room. "Do what Tommy?" I sat down on my bed and frowned. I bet the Jacob kid is sitting outside our window, watching us. What a creep.

"Run away. We could run away and live in our own home. You're of age. We could live at Hogwarts! We go to school this year, and then you could get a job as a teacher or something. I'd like that." Tom said honestly.

"Tom, I don't know about that. We don't even know what my parents will say-!"

"You can see the future!"

"I can't see everything Tom! My inner eye can't see everything because the future isn't written in stone. I won't be able to know until they come to a decision themselves." He stayed silent for a while, and we both looked out the window at the moon.

"We should get some sleep and rest. Mom's plane is landing in a few minutes. She'll be here in a half hour." I told him quietly. Tom got up from his seat at the edge of my bed and cuddled into my arms. For the whole half hour, we didn't say a single word. The both of us just looked out the window, thinking.

It wasn't until I heard the bedroom door swing open, that I realized that my mother was here. "Is that them Charlie?" I heard a women's voice giggle, and mentally rolled my eyes. Next to me, Tom stiffened, obviously as displeased as I was.

"Yes, I think their sleeping-!"

"They have to sleep in one bed? Can't you afford two-?"

"We prefer to sleep together. It helps us bond." I snapped, and turned around to face her. My mother looked sort of like me. She had long brown hair, but mine was light and brighter then hers. I could see her bright brown eyes all the way from my bed.

"Hello Mother." I said stiffly, and climbed out of bed to face her. Tom followed suite, putting on his 'Polite' face.

"Ahhh…" She cooed, and looked from Tom to me, and back and forth. "You look just as beautiful as I thought you would be Bella. And you Tom, just as handsome!" She squealed, and rushed forward to give us hugs. She sure was blunt.

She threw one arm around the both of our shoulder's and hugged us together tight. Tom was definitely stiffened by her forwardness, but Mother didn't seem to mind.

"You're both going to love Phoenix. It's so bright and sunny. Nothing like this old place. Now, I've got Phil back in Phoenix making the both of your rooms. He's my husband. I can't wait to introduce you both." She gushed on and on, but I couldn't help but notice the furious look on Charlie's face.

"And who's says that their going to Phoenix?" Charlie glared, and Renee turned back to him with a similar one. "I did. These kids aren't going to want to live in some ugly old town. It's depressing city! They want sunshine and fun, and you can get just that at-!"

"Hogwarts!" I snapped, suddenly realizing what to do. Renee turned to me with a shocked look. "Did you say Hogwarts?" She asked curiously, and I nodded. Tom watched me closely, but I didn't bother to fill him in with those two staring at me.

"Yes Mother, do you know about the school? Because a man came here today earlier. He gave Tom and me our letters and told us all about the school. We want to go!" I gripped Tom's shoulders and gave her a hopeful look. She suddenly gave a shout and hugged us again. She was crying.

"Oh my babies! My babies have got the magical bug!" She squealed, and picked Tom up to swing him around. Charlie looked at us in surprise. "What?!" He said curiously.

"Of course you both can go there. My whole side of the family was magical, and now it's you too! I'm a pureblood, so Bella, you're a half-blood. I'm not sure who your parents were Tom, but I could get someone from the Ministry to look into it."

"Half-blood? What's that?" I asked. Mother pushed Tom and I lightly onto the bed, and Charlie sat in a chair, listening.

"Well, there are three kinds of witches and wizards. Muggleborne, Half-blooded, and pureblooded. Muggle borne is when both of your parents are pure muggle, but you have magic. Their worst don't trust them. For instance, Charlie is a Muggle. I am a Pureblood witch. When we had you Bella, our blood was passed on to you. Half-blood. But a pureblood witch or wizard can only be created if you have two pureblood parents. Do you get it?" She smiled, and I nodded.

"Purebloods… Their the best?" I asked, now furiously jealous. Mother turned to me with a sad look on her face. "Yes, but I wouldn't go telling everyone that you're a Half-blood over at the school sweethearts. Bella, Tom, my family belong to one of the most purest blood families in wizarding world generations. The Peverall family. Every now and then though, we secretly mate with Muggles, to keep the magic from dying out." She said.

"Wait… What?" Charlie said. I just listened intently. Tom was strewn on his back looking up at Renee, with a curiosity that only a mature child could conjure.

"I said that we mate with Muggles every now and then to keeps the magic from dying. Without Muggle blood, we'd have more squibs. Those are people with basically little to no magic abilities. More often common in Pureblood families. A squib is one of the lowest kind, right above Muggleborne." Renee spit out the name, and I found myself disgusted at the mere mention of a muggle.

"Renee, is this school legit?" Charlie asked, and Renee furrowed in her purse for something. "Why of course it's legit Charlie. In fact, we can go school shopping now. Diagon Alley of course." She smiled excitedly. Tom jumped up excitedly, and actually threw his arms around Renee's torso in a hug.

"Thank you! Thank you! Mother." He said simply and then backed away blushing. Renee smiled at his obvious affection. I stood up and pointed at Charlie. "He wasn't going to let us go. He said that the man that came was a lunatic kidnapper and that if he couldn't find the school on the internet, we weren't going to go!" I whined, and Charlie jumped up at Renee's furious look.

"I didn't say that! In that exact order of words." He slumped down into the chair in fright when Renee pulled out a wand. But then, he burst out laughing. When is he going to learn?

"What's that, a stick?" He said cockily, and had the nerve to laugh. The look on Renee's face told me that he was going to regret this. "Kids, wait for me downstairs. Daddy and I have to have a little talk about manners." She smiled at Tom and me, and I pulled him out of the room quickly. When I shut the door, I pulled him towards the stairs.

"Come on Tom; let's watch some T.V. something tells me that teaching Charlie manners is going to take a little longer then a few minutes." Tom's face shone with glee. He was really excited about the magic stuff.

"We're rich Bells! We're rich. What do you want to buy first? I'm thinking a few books. I can't wait to study. Ooh, I'll even buy you a present. How about a necklace? Something that just says you. Oh, I forgot!" He stopped his jabbering and pulled something out from the inside of his shirt. It was the necklace I had given him.

"As long as you have this, you'll always have me. Tom loves Bella, Bella loves Tom!" I sang, making Tom blush furiously. "Shut up Bells." He blushed and ran to the living room to watch Tom and Jerry. Ah… He's a cute kid.

"Tom, when's the last time you took that off?" I gestured to his necklace. He shrugged and ran a long finger down the golden engraves. "I didn't. The second you put it around my neck, I decided I never wanted to take it off." His words touched me, and I felt my heart melt profusely. "Oh Tommy." I smirked, and I saw him duck his head under his shoulders, a blush fresh on his cheeks.

"Kiddies?" My mother's voice cut threw my giggles, and I stopped them immediately. "Hello Mother." I said bleakly, causing her to giggle. "I've see you've already hit your teenage years. Come on sweetums, Charlie said to say goodbye. We're going to go to Diagon Alley. Now, grab my arm." She smiled. Tom and I stood up and each grabbed an arm. We were curious though.

"What is this-!" I had just enough time to say before I felt a tugging sensation. And then the three of us were spinning around and around and then we stopped. Tom and I fell to the ground sputtering and coughing. "What was that?!" I snapped. She smiled and looked around, and when I did too, I nearly fell again. There were brightly colored shops and people all over the place. Awesome.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley."
