Contestant 6: Sasagawa Ryohei
"Onii-san, hang in there, okay? The ambulance is coming soon!" Haru said in a rush as she tightened a shredded piece of Ryohei's white shirt around his forearm. The older male protested, exclaiming that he was honestly fine but the younger female stubbornly shook her head. When she was sure that he wasn't looking in her direction, she silently drew out a long sigh. The date was so simple, yet how did it turn into a trip to the paramedics so fast?!
*a few hours earlier*
"Hahi! Thank you for taking Haru to the zoo, Onii-san! Haru hasn't been here in such a long time!" An ecstatic Haru gushed as she and Ryohei walked side-by-side into the zoo's entrance. A few days prior to her date with Kyoko's older brother, one of Haru's co-workers at her job was retelling her small trip to the zoo with her toddler son and nostalgia filled Haru for the rest of the day. She had abruptly remembered that she had a date with Ryohei that week, she decided that a zoo date would work out perfectly.
"It's nothing, Haru! Zoos are extremely cool, after all!" The tanned boxer exclaimed rather loudly as they reached the inside of the zoo.
"Hmm, what animals do you want to look at first, Onii-san? When Haru was younger, Oto-san and Kaa-chan would always see the giraffes or the seals first!" The brunette squealed. Just thinking about those cute animals just made her so happy and the fact that she was so CLOSE to seeing them was ten times as better-
"Yosh! We can look at those animals after I box a bear first!" The silver-haired male grinned as he started walking in the direction towards the bears. Haru, however, froze in her tracks, shocked.
What. Did. He. Just. Say?
"Oi, Haru, where are you? Come on, we're going to see the bears, first!" Ryohei looked back to find the younger female frozen in her tracks.
"Ne, Onii-san, you know how you said that you wanted to box a bear? The bears are technically caged already, not boxed." Haru replied, secretly hoping that her best friend's older brother was actually talking about seeing a 'boxed' bear and not actually boxing a bear.
"Of course those bears are in cages, Haru! That would be extremely dangerous if they were in cardboard boxes! I meant actually boxing a bear, you know, like boxing with gloves. Except I'm not wearing any gloves on me, so I'll be a man and box a bear one-on-one!" Was the Sun Guardian's cheerfully loud reply as he grabbed Haru's hand and almost started to drag her towards the direction of the bears. As she followed him skeptically, she had a feeling that it wouldn't turn out very well...
*back to the present time*
"Oh my goodness! Sir, are you all right, what happened?" The paramedics asked hurriedly as the started to inspect Ryohei's wounds.
"I'm extremely fine! Now let me go so that I can see that bear again! We weren't done with that fight!" Ryohei protested, although he obediently allowed the paramedics to check up on his wounds.
"Miss, is he experiencing a concussion or-" One of the paramedics turned his attention to Haru.
The brunette female shook her head. "No, he does not have a concussion. He did, in fact, try to 'box' a bear." Was her prompt reply.
"H-How?" The paramedic furrowed his eyebrow, still trying to wrap his mind around the idea. To be fair, the girl mused, she would have done the same had she been in his position.
"Haru doesn't quite know how that happened, either." She answered back. Which was quite truthful. She doesn't know how it happened, but somehow, Ryohei managed to get a bear out from a cage without one of the zookeepers noticing-she should really notify the zoo manager about their staff-and got into a fight with it. Okay, not really. And by 'fight' the bear and male 'boxed' each other...via a boxing arcade game. When the screen showed Ryohei's avatar as the winner of that game, the bear roared in frustration, which took the tanned boxer by surprise and he fell backwards, hitting his head on one of the sides of the game. Unfortunately, the tanned boxer also managed to get a scratch from the bear on his forearm, but luckily for him, the cut wasn't as deep or serious as everyone had originally thought.
"Well, besides the scratch the bear gave you and your minor head injury, I'd say that you're quite fine, sir." The other paramedic closed her first aid kit. "Now, I suggest that you two go home and rest-"
"No! We can't leave yet! We haven't seen the other animals yet! I promised Haru that we were going to see the giraffes and seals after I fought the bear!" Ryohei protested.
After a somewhat heated argument, Ryohei and Haru were allowed to see the other animals, on the condition that Ryohei was not allowed to fight any other animal. He looked rather disappointed, but promised. The rest of the date went by well, with them seeing other animals and gushing about how cool or cute each one was. And by the time she got back home, Haru had to laugh slightly. From now on, thanks to Ryohei, she was never going to look at a bear the same way ever again.
End of Date 6.
Note: Yay~! We're down with three contestants left! Again, it seems like Hibari is currently in the lead, but will he secure his spot as first place for Haru's heart? Who knows? Anyways, please review your thoughts about this chapter before you request who you would like the victor of Haru's heart to be! Also! This is a sort of reference to that one KHR! episode where Tsuna went on his 'date' with Kyoko to the zoo, where you could see Ryohei 'boxing' a bear. I am against animal cruelty and this fic was inspired by that one episode. Please do not be hurt by this and if you are, I apologize. But anyways, our third to last contestant is our favorite redhead, Enma Kozato so please anticipate his date with Haru and until then~!
